I do agree, but I understand if it doesn’t happen now. I love the option in eso and tera where one can choose the voices, and it sounds really odd going through personal story on one human, and then the next human sounds exactly the same.

Gold seller spam in map chat I can handle. I only see them there maybe once a week. I get pmed at least once a day on either account that I have.

I’ve made a request for a “do not disturb” function before, but nothing came of it. Please, can I get some dev attention on this? It’s getting so bad – especially with the sales – that I’m thinking of completely quitting the game (which is a drastic decision for me because I really do love the game and the community). It should not have to come to this. People have the right to not be harassed, and that’s all I’m asking for here.

This. It’s not difficult to make a personal guild, and it’s very easy to make/buy enough influence to get a bank. I was putting gold away in mine while saving up for precursors.

I would only support the idea of putting gold into personal banks if the gold that was on any character was still account-wide as it is now, instead of reverting it back to the old system, and even then I’d still prefer to “hide” my gold (from myself) in my personal guild bank.

I’m on the personal story step Track the Seraph. I’ve been to Black Haven and talked to Lionguard Keene. The next part says for me to “Meet Agent Ihan at Black Haven”, but I cannot see any instance star to enter. I’m right on top of the green starburst on my minimap and there’s nothing here. I’ve relogged and that hasn’t solved it.

I should have no trouble finding it, but it simply isn’t there. The character I’m on is level 70, and the story level is 30, before anyone asks.

I’m sick and tired of being harassed by gold sellers whenever I get on my alt account or whenever I make a new character. The record that they hold is 5 pms – that’s 5 lots of 6 lines of text – in 2 minutes.

My suggestion to counteract this is adding a feature that only allows people on your friends list (not followers, but only friends) to pm you. Whether this be a new option added to the status choices (friends only, perhaps?), or whether it be an option that you can check in the options menu.

To anyone who feels the need to say “block and ignore”, I do. Every single time, pretty much immediately after the pm. These are different accounts messaging me the same thing, and instead of being reactive, I want the option to be proactive and stop them before the harassment begins.

Please Anet, I’ve been so very close to having panic attacks over this. It’s harassment and the only thing I can do to stop it is to appear offline, but appearing offline doesn’t let you talk in guild chat – which is half the reason I log in to gw2.

My average ping in any mmo is 300. You get used to it after a while. When it goes 500+ that’s when it starts getting….irritating.

Why not just suggest an Oceanic server? NA and EU both have one. As an aussie, one tends to feel left out in these situations.

I’d like to see something implemented in gw2 where we have no need to hold down the right mouse button. I pretty much have mine taped down all the time anyway. I haven’t had issues with any of my mice being overused, but this would really help. Tera and ESO both have a system like this, and it’s fantastic.

Some people may not want to, or may not have anyone to play with. This comment makes a lot of assumptions. Playing with a group isn’t always possible.

I do think that something should definitely be done about this. Having issues with the internet at home is one thing. Losing all credit for an event or restarting a mission or dungeon because of it is another thing entirely.

I have experienced this a lot. The ISP I’m with has had a fair amount of problems recently, and while I understand it’s not Anet’s fault at all, I would love to see a system implemented where I don’t lose rewards for something that is beyond my control.

This is the reward you get when you reach a certain level now. I’m not sure what level it is, but it’s under 10.

This. Never go laurels > unid’d dyes. You’ll get more by selling the t6 mats and buying the dyes. Especially if you get a bunch of blood.

As for it being so expensive, it’s incredibly easy to make money in gw2, but some methods can be brain-numbing. Run dungeons every day, do sPvP, do WvW, go mapping or SW farming or anything. Just don’t sit idle in <city of your choice> then look at the prices, feel sad, and brood. I’ve been there and it’s not good. Get active = get gold.

This was the main reason I bought my second account. The second reason was that when I got a friend into gw2 I could actually have a lowbie to run with her rather than being 25+ levels ahead of her.

One of my guildies made this complaint earlier. I agree that there should be an option to turn off mini noises. I also get tired of hearing the super mini ninja (?) making that panting noise when running. I, myself, don’t have that mini, but hearing it from others’ minis can get taxing.

Or even make it so only the mini’s owner can hear their mini’s noises.

One of my guildies only has one character and never plans on making another. He plays engy and engy alone.

When I was testing what chance there was to get sprockets with the watchwork mining pick, I used the pick a total of 2818 times to get that it was about 34%. 20 is not a decent sample space. When testing anything regarding RNG try to get as high a sample space as you possibly can.

Having said that, no, I have not really noticed that drops are tailored to the class that I’m playing at the time. But then again everything I loot is pretty much just salvaging fodder in my eyes.

Marge, they’re asking about non-outfits (from what I can tell anyway). Those are going to be outfits. Plus the balth outfit is already out, which is one thing that OP was talking about.

I don’t hate Trahearne, and don’t think I’m overplaying it or hopping on the Trahearne-haters bandwagon by saying what I said. He’s meh. To be totally honest the thing that would turn my “meh” into like is actually putting intonation and emotion into the voice. It’s monotonous and dull in English. I’ve had to change it to German purely because I get bored hearing it. Whenever he says something that should be portrayed as excited he sounds so sarcastic purely because of the monotony.

I agree with the story. It wasn’t that bad, but it was “meh” imo. Just another person in the Guild Wars universe that takes a well-earned spot that we’ve carved out for ourselves.

Though the ending was very boring. I had a greater challenge at the last boss in ESO. I’m hoping they really up the ante for HoT.

People are all different. What you may like may not be what someone else likes. What you are willing to put up with may not be what someone else is willing to put up with. I’m really anal about my character’s aesthetics, but not so much about the build. Others I know are the complete opposite.

I’m tired of the fighting between the two sides of outfits versus armor skins. Let’s think of ways to make the two work TOGETHER. Please note that I’m neither for nor against outfits. I’m kinda in neutral territory. I can see and understand the discussion from both sides, but I love having the ability to mix and match.

I’ve seen comments that pose that idea of both outfits and armor skins being released. This I don’t mind. I also liked the idea another person posed about when buying an outfit, armor skins were to be unlocked in the wardrobe.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Ideally I’d like this to be a talk-it-out thread, not a which-is-better thread. Please try to keep it to ideas rather than open debate.

Sorry, I guess the prompt was stated poorly. I was asking Anet for a fix to the LOOK of the helmetless option – it looks too awkward. I do indeed know disabling helmets in equipment removes helmets from outfits, it’s just that the helmetless look on this armor look a bit ‘off’.

I was wanting to preview this mini but was surprised when I couldn’t. Usually the minis that one hasn’t bought from the gemstore yet can be previewed in the hero panel, but this one wasn’t there when I checked.

I’m glad I found this thread. I would have loved to get it, but now knowing what it actually looks like has really put me off. If Anet fix it I’d snap it up in a heartbeat.

It’s the same icon as Gift of Sunrise, which I think is a little odd.

You’d be better off searching for info from Anet or directly asking them about the capes rather than asking other players who don’t work on the game why there are no capes.

Failing that you can start some sort of petition if there isn’t one going, though I’d be surprised if there wasn’t one up by now.

None of this is “scamming the system”. If you think that gems > gold isn’t ruining the value of gold then you are greatly mistaken/misinformed/ignorant. The only scamming that could possibly be taking place here is the OP possibly being scammed by another player. The mail does exist for a reason, but there will always be those who abuse whatever systems are in place.

Going to the length to say that a “scam-ee” (so to speak) should be banned with the scammer is, to put it blunty, one of the stupidest ideas I’ve heard. Scammers and gold sellers will ALWAYS find a way to make money, no matter the efforts of the game developers.

Plus if one particular player gets scammed once, maybe they will have the wisdom to not get scammed again, and to warn others. However much gold/loot is lost, the lesson will finally be learned.

Yes, you may have those who are stupid enough to be scammed numerous times, but at that point it becomes their fault and their problem imho.

You take the risk into your own hands if you trade via mail. The TP is there for a reason. Yes it has fees, but many would prefer to pay for the fees and have a guaranteed item.

I hated my ele’s face so much, but I didn’t bother remaking her because I didn’t play her and I thought “ehh, I’ll do it later”. Now she’s almost 3 I had to get a total makeover kit. It doesn’t show you what cutscenes will look like with your character either.

You even get clipping with the outfits themselves, so the “no clipping” argument is out the window. Check the female human’s waist with the Ancestral outfit. The cloth that falls down from the breasts clips into the shirt’s material.

Honestly when I’m mixing and matching I don’t even care about clipping half the time. The only clipping I ever actually see is the hair with some collars, which doesn’t really matter as I can play it off as the hair is falling around the collar, or the like.

I remember back in gw1 I didn’t get the name I wanted. I removed a letter from the last name. Turned “Lana Darkness” into “Lana Darkess”. It feels odd writing the former now.

The other name I didn’t get I added in a letter. You have to adapt. Doesn’t matter if you can’t get the name you wanted to begin with. The chance that the person with that name will give it to you is pretty slim. Shrug it off, make a new name and move on.

Couldn’t think of a name for my Sylvari Necro. Started googling. You’d be surprised what you can find there. I ended up with “Andraste The Unseen” (though I normally stay away from names with “the <x>” or titles, this one fit her).

But seriously, think about it. This is an MMO. Massive Multiplayer Online game. There have been over 3 MILLION copies of this game sold. Of course there are going to be people who wanted that popular name from tv show/movie/book “The Adventures of <Famous Character>”.

Yeah I don’t waste cash gambling on chests in any game. Tera has a similar thing, but certain outfits can rarely drop from certain containers that you have to buy. I farm the gold and buy the outfit in-game rather than pay however much to gamble for one that probably won’t drop for me.

This is why I farmed black lion keys. I prefer wasting ~2 hours of my time (that I would be wasting on something else meaningless anyway) obtaining one key than wasting cash I know should be spent elsewhere.

That being said, I have no objection to those who actually do buy keys with gems. I just like to buy stuff outright from another source rather than gamble to maybe get something.

I do really want the tribal skin. I’ve wanted it since I saw that the “gloves” were actually more bracelets than anything, which would be fantastic for a few armor mixes I’m working on.

+1 to getting them, but I’m not too sure about paying gems. Maybe bring them back to PvP as a separate reward track?

Just a quick point – a zerg is a massive group of players. A zerk is one in berserker gear. I was expecting something about WvW lol!

They have been working on making other builds viable (the increased cap for condis that’s coming can attest to that), but I’m not sure that this would be the way to go. I’m interested to see how the taunting turns out.

RNG means Random Number Generator. It’s random. I’m not sure how much more detailed I can get.

One of my guildies got Dawn as a drop in CS. Then he got Dusk, and on top of all that he also got The Colossus, all as drops. He has 4,900 AP and I have 10,546. I have 10 level 80’s and have been playing since before launch. He’s only been playing since about 4 months ago and has 2 level 80’s. AP has nothing to do with RNG. Nor does time played. Nor do level 80’s. It is “luck” based on a number generator that generates these numbers randomly.

With regards to obscene guild names, is reporting individual players the best way to address the issue?

A ticket is better. The report options have nothing to do with the guild name so they won’t know that’s what you are trying to report. Get the Display name and character name as well as the guild name and tag and report it on a ticket.

Correct. Please submit a ticket. The in-game report is expressly for character names.

What do we do for pet names? I’ve seen a few rangers running around with pets that have some obscene names, and others downright derogatory towards a certain demographic.
