I would pay for a Necromancer Pet 'skin pack'

I don’t agree with this, even if it was a PvE only type deal. If skins were put into play in PvP it’d be hella confusing, as people wouldn’t know what to be on the lookout for. I think customisation is nice, but sometimes suggestions take it a little too far.

Necromancers raise undead minions. Unless the new skins were just different versions of undead creepy-looking things then sure. If you’re wanting to make them into rainbows, butterflies and rabbits then I’d suggest just playing a mesmer instead.

Plus if the necromancers had different skins to choose from, then it should be implemented for all classes with summons. Eles with their elemental summons, Mesmers with clones and phantasms, rangers choosing what their pet looks like instead of just choosing one based on the skills, etc.

I love gendarren fields and love doing the nebu terrace event, but It’d be nice if I actually got something worth while. I think there should be a level 80 currency that you can get from any event in the world.

What about Spirit Shards? That’s the first thing that came to mind when you mentioned a level 80 currency.

If not then I’d be interested to see what suggestions people have for this.

Killing Bosses in a different ways

I would like to see some bosses where you have to kill or break various parts of it first before you could damage the main body. You see a lot of examples like this in the Final Fantasy games.

A good example could be a Kraken or Hydra where you have to destroy all the arms/heads. Another could be a giant with a massive shield in his hands, break his shield then you can hit him. Don’t even mention Claw of Jormag and the shield, that’s just……annoying to say the least lol..the one time (that I recall) they did do this for a boss and it’s done so annoyingly (pick up weapon, use weapon, repeat over and over and over). :P

ctrl+click skill 1 on charrzooka, hit j (walking toggle), afk = win. That boss is definitely not a good example for that!

But yeah, I don’t mind this idea. Possibly like the Jade Maw in fractals. I wouldn’t mind seeing some HoT open world bosses like this.

In short, you’re asking for meaningfull karma vendor (for players at high end content), ain’t you?

That would be a start. I don’t mind the concept of random drops though, I just mind when what should be random actually means you’re restricted to maybe 1% of the total content of the game because nothing else has a chance for the good drops.

This might possibly be covered in the redoing of the map rewards, unless I am misunderstanding you.

Like the completion reward? That would be nice, but it’s about the stuff in the game you do more than once. So much of the game ends up being repetition that it would just be nice if you could do any and all parts of the game over for the best rewards.

No, in HoT they are introducing daily map rewards. Each day a different Tyria map (and a separate HoT map) will offer a daily bonus for completing events on that map.

They gave examples of T6 mats, or Lodestones.

This means you will be greatly rewarded for playing all the different maps and completing the events there.

And Giant Eyes!

^^ all of this.

Not map completion rewards, but map event rewards. I tried to find the post about it but can’t seem to spot it. If I do I’ll post it here.

It was awesome to experience in the BWE though! I’m actually really excited for this to be implemented!

Nothing more really needs to be said on the issue. But it would be great if you at least got some kind of reply from Anet. Even if to say, “thanks for your post/idea your concerns have been noted”. That would at least be something lol.

Yeah, but with the way things have been going, as pessimistic as it sounds, I doubt I’d hear from them about this issue before HoT – if at all.

The only previous response I got was from Gaile saying something about the mail system, which had absolutely nothing to do with what I was talking about, as it was the same issue that I’ve brought up in this thread.

Even an “it’s being looked into” would suffice. Silence is an absolutely horrid way to handle PR in situations like this.

It’s funny you mentioned the mail system. As I was thinking if they did add these privacy options would it also effect mails? I would be fine if it did not as it would give players another option (along with the incoming mentor system you mentioned) with those I posted above if they do need help.

Funny enough with the whisper gold selling ads we also do get the mails from them too. So I think if these options were added they might just change more to the mails. Like I said I would be fine with that because you can usually ignore mails for a while if you are doing something atm (such as in the middle of a pvp match). But whispers, blah they can get in the way in said cases and usually you want to always take note of them when they come through.

We can be vigilant and hope they do take notice of this post and reply.

Yeah that is another can of worms. I know I can ignore mail for a while, as the only mail I do get is either from the store, my alt account, or people messaging me when I’m offline. Having them spam mail – for me personally – would not be as much of an issue as it is having them pm me.

That being said, I do also think that along with the whisper privacy options there should also be mailing privacy options for those whom it would affect.

Here’s hoping! -raises glass-

I believe this thought process was used in the creation of fractals. I don’t think that this system would complement open world PvE very well at all. At least not the way the base game is now. We might possibly see some of these used in HoT, but I’m uncertain of that.

Also as Adaephon has said, these tactics are also used in LS 2 and certain bosses in SW.

I was dismayed by the ascended aqua breather announcement too. I thought converting them to skins was just common sense, but apparently it isn’t.

I’m kind of not surprised that they’ve decided to go this route, as it makes no sense at all, which seems to be the way they like to play things for some unknown reason.

It definitely makes more sense to have them as skins rather than having to make yet another headpiece that would hardly ever get used. Even if they decided to add another bonus to runes so we would have to work for the 7th major bonus instead of just 6 wouldn’t justify it imo.

What some people don’t understand is depending on what you do in game you can easily become a target of these gold sellers and other spammers/nasties.

For example I notice that if I am playing SPvP and talking often in the map chat between matches (out of boredom, to help answer questions or whatever) you will soon become a target. The same can be said for if you are in a city crafting or whatever or just doing daily/map complete out in the world. Basically if you speak in chat often you can soon become a target.

This may not be a problem for people who just play wvw (less people to see you speaking since you can’t see the 2 enemy team’s chat), run dungeons all day or who are naturally quiet/shy in game or whatever. But for those of us who are vocal, usually because we like to help people this can soon become a problem.

Additional privacy options will in no way effect the game in a negative way. Oh you say but what if people need help and can’t whisper random people? Well there are other options, all they need to do is use their initiative. Such as:

1 – Ask in map chat.
2 – Ask people on their friends list.
3 – Come to the forums.
4 – Use the wiki or google.

There are plenty of options. For those of you who are saying make another chat window and block whispers. This is no answer. Why should I miss out on whispers from people who I want them from (friends) simply to just block out the nasties? Would you go and deafen yourself just to not listen to people who are annoying/loud or would you move away from these people and ignore them? Seems pretty extreme to me the latter.

Not to mention the mentor masteries coming in HoT that will show new players who is actually willing to help them on map chat.

But yes now that you mention it about being vocal, that could definitely be the reason I’m being targeted so often and mercilessly. Generally I like to help out new players with info and such, sometimes even helping them start up their own guilds, and showing them how to get from one city to another – the basic stuff we take for granted most days. Whenever someone needs help, 9 times out of 10 if I’m in the map I’ll help them out.

Note: I’m not trying to boast about being helpful – just stating that I’m usually very chatty in /map and /say a lot of the time.

I really don’t understand why there is always people who try to shoot something down or say “no” to things especially when it will have NO negative effect on the game. It really does make me wonder…….

Maybe they just like to argue for the sake of it?

It honestly wouldn’t surprise me in the least, unfortunately. Just because they’re not having issues regarding matter <x> doesn’t mean no one is having those issues. If it makes the issue-haver’s lives easier then why speak against it apart from the sake to argue? I’m sure there would be an option to opt-out if the option/s were implemented.

~~~
More pm customization is needed. I’m close to buying a new account for reasons I am too uncomfortable to mention here.
I was previously being harassed in-game, then someone found it funny to find my facebook profile and harassme there. As my account name was my irl name for a while, luckily customer support were able to change it, as well as my second account’s name.
But for those without this option who are still being harassed in-game by whomever, it’s still a bandaid on a festering wound to change options in the chat windows. I want privacy options that make me feel like I don’t have to work around people who constantly want to shove BUY MY GOLD AT WWW.THISWEBSITE.COM down my throat, or people who aren’t my guildies/friends pming me for handouts if I accidentally use ctrl instead of alt to split a stack.
~~~

I would love the option to accept whispers only from friends and guildies. I don’t even remember when was the last time I got a real whisper from someone who isn’t guildie or friend. It’s always just “giev glod” or the gold sellers that whisper.

Yep. Since posting this I’ve been pmed by numerous other gold sellers. If I don’t block them they just literally keep spamming me the same message over and over til my entire chat window is clogged with their messages – and this is in LA at peak chatting hours. Drowning out that is a feat in itself I guess :/ Next time I get spammed I’m gonna wait til they’re done, cap it and post it here. I wonder if they’ll actually stop on their volition.

I’m in a fractal LFG-type guild, and I welcome pms asking if I want to do runs. If I appear offline and want to do fractals I can’t receive those whispers, or see anyone posting about it in guild chat, therefore I miss out.

… and I seriously doubt that past specializations, devs aren’t going to touch profession changes.

Please read the entire comment before quoting and pretending to know what’s going on. The new “professions” are not separate professions. They’re specialisations that are different for each class.

The only new one is the Revenant, and even that is getting a specialisation.

Change Breathers Into Skins, Not Gear

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

I completely agree with this. I’d love to finally not have to worry about my underwater gear.

These encryptions may give you a new Mini Professor Mew, new ascended aquatic-breather recipes, high-level crafting materials, or many other rewards.

The question I pose to the devs is why bother focusing on underwater stuff now? In the last sets of Black Lion weapons there have been no underwater skins whatsoever. Why deprive us of new underwater skins (making some of us assume that you guys have completely given up on underwater combat), then announce this new way to obtain a breather (which is RNG no less – and most of us hate that. Fractal skins, anyone?). May isn’t good enough for me, especially when I’m stuck with a green breather, when everything else I have equipped is either exotic or ascended.

Making them into skins would be so much easier for all of us players.

Did you see the pic? Look at it. Look at the timestamps carefully. You’re kidding yourself if you think no privacy settings are needed. Either that or you don’t have half the issues with gold sellers that I do.

Wait, you can’t see guild chat when set to Invisible?
I’d swear I still got guild chat while invisible, I just couldn’t be whispered :/

Either way, “Configure your chat windows so you can’t see whispers” is an unacceptable “solution”

Nope. No guild chat to be seen when invis, unless they’ve changed it within the last month or so.

And yes, changing my chat window isn’t an acceptable solution. It’s a bandaid on a festering wound. At least someone here understands this!

Time-gated Crafting

Ill craft it when they remove it.

Then – in short – unless you get ascended drops, you are never going to get ascended gear.

It is not hard to live on exos and do one time-gated piece a day til you can make a piece of armor. All you have to do is remember to craft your 4 time-gated materials each day.

I haven’t actively been working towards ascended, but that is what I’ve been doing. I also took a year break or so and I already have half a set of light ascended.

Lack of cool items in the game

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Miss Lana.5276

Miss Lana.5276

If I wanted a game that locks me out of everything decent just because I dislike raiding content (and spending my time with elitists that tend to feel attracted by that sort of content), I’d go play one of the twenty competing MMOs designed that way.

“…everything decent…” is completely subjective. In this game everyone has access to top tier stat gear. Now what we’re talking about are essentially skins. Now all of a sudden exclusive skins shouldn’t require completion of challenging content because some people don’t want to or simply can’t complete content that is above average difficulty?

That’s simply not fair to people who put the effort into completing that content.

It’s like the Liadri mini / title. I never use the mini or the title, but I worked towards it for my own satisfaction. I know how hard it was to get, and if I see someone with the title or mini it reminds me of the hard work that went into it and they get a bit of respect from me. If you could simply buy that title or mini then it would be as if all my and others’ hard work was wasted.

The difference between me and you is that I couldn’t care less about what items or titles you have. I play the game for fun, not to brag. The desire for “exclusivity” is ultimately bred by some people’s desire to brag and boast by shoving stuff into other people’s faces they don’t have. Otherwise they’d be happy to have nice and shiny things for the sake of having nice and shiny things. It’s like these guys who wear these ugly Rolex watches in real life. They almost always don’t do that because they like the ugly things, they do that to brag with their financial ability to afford one.

For the record, I will never respect braggers or elitists. Quite…the contrary, actually.

Completely agree with you there Kimyrielle. I got my legendaries because I liked them. I use the skins because I like them. If someone else doesn’t like what I wear then that’s their problem, not mine. When people run around obviously showing off their “top-end” gear by switching between 6 legendaries and hopping around in front of me I lose all respect for them. People should get the skins they like purely because they like them, not because of any fake “prestige” that they think comes with it. I honestly can’t think of anything in-game that I consider prestigious at all. Possibly lumi armor, but even then people are paying others to get the cheevs for them now.

~~~~
As for OP, I’d love for more variety in skins to be added to the game. I believe that they will be adding in more in HoT (I found a blue dagger skin during the beta that I had never seen before). Let’s just hope that they listen to the community this time and put in a decent range of armor skins.
I just don’t want them locked behind a pay wall. As a few other people have mentioned, putting it behind content or achievements wouldn’t be a bad idea, as long as it’s not incredibly difficult to achieve. I don’t mind a challenge, but insanely difficult content turns me right off.
Elitism harming the game? (PvE)
Having ascended armor and a copied build doesn’t make you a good player. remember this.
Where oh where in my posts did I ever say “anyone with this gear set and this build is the best type of player”? I am well aware of this, as I’m sure a lot of other meta-running people are. Like I mentioned beforehand, I run with friends and guildies who know their builds, and it just so happens that the meta is better at speedclearing than non-meta builds. There is a reason why it’s used. There’s a reason why it’s called the meta. Yes, people can claim to run the meta and be horrible at doing so, but I’m talking about skilled meta players.
As for your long spiel beforehand I honestly couldn’t care less. Your achievements are of no interest to me, and I couldn’t give a kitten if you can solo Arah on a necro with only one hand and your eyes closed. I don’t care who you are or what you think you’ve achieved. Don’t bother talking down to people like you just did. I’m no scrub.
Being elitist in PvE is stupid stuff, there are no leaderboards and no ‘’Best Player in the World’‘, if you wanna be an Elitist, go do some high level PvP where you can play with the best players, because that doesn’t exist in any PvE game or content, there are good players but no best players…
The reason I play meta is because I want fast runs is so I can get all the available rewards in as little time as possible. Quite a few players have this mindset, but not all are as accommodating as I am of non-meta players.
Plus not everyone likes PvP. You’re being very closedminded. We’re aware there is no “best player in the world”. We do it because we want fast and efficient runs. We know that classes x, y, and z are the best at it, so we take those.
Ascended vs Legendary weapons ...
in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
The differences between Legendaries and Ascended are these;
Legendaries;
- Have unique (& purdy) skins
- Can change stats at will with a click of a button (outside combat)
- Can be sold on the trading post (for now)
- Take much much much longer, and more money and mats to make than Ascended
Ascended;
- Are account bound after being crafted (even after equipping)
- Can only change stats in the Forge with other items
There is no stat difference between Asc and Legendary at all.
The only reason I’ve ever kicked a ranger out of my group is because the description in LFG has said exactly what I’m looking for. If people don’t read the description then it’s their own fault for being kicked.
That being said, I understand the mindset behind the meta, but I don’t encourage or enforce it in all modes of play. I think that diversity is needed. The only reason I use the meta in dungeons is because I like extremely fast and efficient runs with people that I know (more often than not they’re also meta players as well). I’d be more than willing to have a ranger or necro (as I main one) in the party if I wasn’t going for a speedclear in fractals or dungeons. Heck I’d even be happy to run newbies through dungeons if they’re 1 – willing to listen, and 2 – not kittenhats, but just as long as I’m in the mood to teach. More often than not I just want those shinies at the end.
The reason I play meta is because I want fast runs is so I can get all the available rewards in as little time as possible. Quite a few players have this mindset, but not all are as accommodating as I am of non-meta players.
If you’re having issues with being kicked from groups in dungeons, make your own, or even reading the description before joining would be a good idea.
Well for DnD you can set the chat tab with whisper off.
Friends only could be added to the game
And for your offline mode with guild chat only you just need to set the chat tab to guild only.
I should not have to change my chat log because some kittenhat decides to spam me with messages.
I don’t want to have 3 alternate versions of tabs I already have. Privacy functions regarding whispering should already be in-game. I like seeing what’s going on in map chat and say chat. None of your suggestions fixes this at all.
I’m literally pleading at this point. I would resurrect the other thread I’ve made about it but I can’t find a trace of it.
You want to know why I NEED this function, devs? I was pmed by a gold seller 9 times in less than 1 minute. A girl can’t go afk to do anything without being harassed it seems!
I should not have to change my chat log because some kittenhat decides to spam me with messages. The lack of privacy settings is phenomenal. If I appear offline I can’t see what is happening in guild chat. If I make a tab without whispers then I miss out on talking to people. So it’s either miss out on everything that is being said in both guild chat and messages, or get harassed by people like this. It’s absolutely ludicrous.
This picture only shows some of the messages that were spammed to me. The chat box couldn’t expand far enough to fit it all in, and yes, these are all from the same character.
This function should have been in-game at release. I’m begging that it be put into HoT.
(Before people say “block and report”, yes I know, I know. I blocked and reported AFTER it had happened -as I was afk when it happened-, but instead of being *re*active, I want to have the ability to be *pro*active.)
your post doesn’t say what you actually want implemented.
Literally any type of privacy settings for whispers. A “Do not disturb”, a “friends only” or hell even an offline mode that lets you see guild chat would be nice!
The only reason I edited out the name of the guy pming me was because for some reason there’s a no naming-and-shaming policy. If someone else was complaining about being pmed from gold sellers I’d want to know the name so I could block them too.
Also if you couldn’t tell from the first post this is not a joke thread. Don’t turn it into one.
I’m literally pleading at this point. I would resurrect the other thread I’ve made about it but I can’t find a trace of it.
You want to know why I NEED this function, devs? I was pmed by a gold seller 9 times in less than 1 minute. A girl can’t go afk to do anything without being harassed it seems!
I should not have to change my chat log because some kittenhat decides to spam me with messages. The lack of privacy settings is phenomenal. If I appear offline I can’t see what is happening in guild chat. If I make a tab without whispers then I miss out on talking to people. So it’s either miss out on everything that is being said in both guild chat and messages, or get harassed by people like this. It’s absolutely ludicrous.
This picture only shows some of the messages that were spammed to me. The chat box couldn’t expand far enough to fit it all in, and yes, these are all from the same character.
This function should have been in-game at release. I’m begging that it be put into HoT.
(Before people say “block and report”, yes I know, I know. I blocked and reported AFTER it had happened -as I was afk when it happened-, but instead of being *re*active, I want to have the ability to be *pro*active.)
Hero Points. Should They Be Converted
in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I think there should be a new way to let players convert their unneeded hero points into something more useful for example spirit shards or another type of good.
There are no unneeded hero points. you will need them for Elite specs.
This. The only reason one may have excess points is because there are specs we don’t have access to just yet, but will do in HoT.
Surely we won’t have to map complete to unlock the specs so there will still extra points for many characters?
If you wisely saved the Hero Points given from 1-80, you should have enough to open the new specs.
Otherwise, farm them up now, while the content is stale, so you’re ready for HoT.
Of course, that won’t matter in PvP.
I’m pretty sure it’s been announced that if you do 100% World Completion you will be able to unlock all elite specs when they are released to us.
Really still no official word? It is incredibly frustrating not to at least get a ‘yeah we meant to do this’ or a ‘no this is a bug’ from someone.
If you guys are aware of this and meant to do this AT LEAST just tell us so we can get on with our lives.
I think all we can expect from them anymore is the official updates and blog posts. Anything related to something that the community remotely wants they never have any word for (I’m looking at you, lack of refund for my Infinite Continue Coin.), or it’s just the overused soon, which isn’t even a joke. It’s irritating. I’m tired of the lack of communication from them. The PR is just getting worse and worse.
It’s probably there intended to reduce accidental deposits. It’s an irreversible mistake when you’re out in the open and deposit things you didn’t wanna deposit, in the sense of losing track of how much you deposited and how much was already there, and in the sense of having to interrupt whatever you’re doing to go near a bank.
Yet if it was on the side of the inventory window, or in a new panel for the inventory, it wouldn’t be difficult to keep the cursor away from that button.
I also see your example as an extremely trivial situation. If one wanted to check how many <x>’s they had earned all they would need to do is hit “i”, look, then hit “i” again to close it.
Super Adventure Box [merged]
Miss Lana.5276
12 months, 2500 posts, over 90k views since this thread started.
Soon on September 3rd will mark exactly 2 years since Super Adventure Box: Back to School was released. Just as well, on September 30th will mark 2 years since SAB was locked, making it inaccessible.
My Infinite Continue Coin has been dusting in the bank for all this time. How much longer it is acceptable to us wait to use an item sold on the gemstore which is now locked away and, by info from dev, will keep with that status for an unknown period?
Would be nice if this case was finally addressed by Anet.
I am sure none of us would be complaining about the infinite continue coin if was tagged as temporary use only during the season 2: Back to School, which wasn’t the case.
I think the big thing is that it’s just over a month until two years of ANet refusing to refund a completely useless item that people paid real world money for.
I’m a patient gal, but this is seriously starting to fray my nerves. I paid real cash monies for this coin. Now all it’s doing is wasting away in my bank. Other items bought from the gem store that were “infinite” can still be used (Queen’s Gauntlet ticket and the Airship Captain ticket are two examples I can think of). People who bought them still have access to areas that the rest of us don’t. Why do we – the Infinite Continue Coin purchasers – seemingly not have the same right? Did we not pay for them, after all?
I loved that content which is why I bought the coin in the first place. Either give us content or give us refunds. This is absolutely ludicrous and absolutely ridiculously bad PR.
I think people are skipping half the thread where OP said he did not mean combining the two functions, he meant putting in a separate button on the panel of the inventory window.
+1 to a depositing materials button on the side panel. There’s so many QoL changes like this that could make this game a helluva lot better.
The thing that got me hating him was – before they updated the voices – how insanely mundane his voice was. There was next to no intonation, and no emotion whatsoever. It was like he was literally being read off the page with next to no preparation.
The whole he-stole-the-story-from-us I think is a little overplayed. I was on that bandwagon for a little while, but then I came to the realisation that OP had. He doesn’t steal the show at all. He was just so kittening BORING.
I think some people are still salty about Kormir stealing Godhood off of them (myself included. I’mma desecrate every statue of her I can get my grubby paws on).
“Nicer” is subjective. Maybe upgrade it and see which you like better. If you prefer Lidless Eye, then transmute it back. You’ll still have unlocked both skins.
Also I suggest having Malefacterym for the dagger if you’re going for that sort of thing.
Weapon Size
in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Miss Lana.5276
Completely agree, especially with the design of the hammers in the game. Some of them are absolutely pathetic looking. They admittedly have been getting better in some of the newer sets but they still need to be at least 20%-50% bigger on average.
I like doorswords too, but there are still people in the community who don’t. That’s why there are so many options for aesthetics. Making them all bigger would irritate those who are happy with their skins the way they are.
Instead of making them all bigger, making a wider variety of smaller and bigger swords would be nice.
If everyone liked the same thing we’d all go around wearing the same armor and wielding the same weapons. That’s not the game I want to play.
If you want them to go even bigger, play a norn or a charr. Really unfair comparison you’re making VS Tera using one of the smallest great swords in the game.
GW2 has several GS as large or larger than the pictures you posted. That’s the reason people are lashing out at you, not because of your opinion.
You’re being dishonest.
^ This exactly. If you want to compare, fine, then do so. But compare them fairly.
To make an example, most of the great swords. they are closer to the size of a one handed sword then a two handed one.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gallery_of_greatswords
No, they’re not.
While I agree that some could be a bit bigger, I don’t think that making them all Tera-sized is a good idea.
Also, choosing one of the smallest greatswords to try and “prove” your point that they’re small isn’t something that the community is going to overlook. If you even glance at that gallery you will see that you are completely incorrect.
Guild chat request
Previously when I used to farm the Not So Secret JP chest with all my toons for the blade shards, I was hopping ~30 toons over an hour or so. This was very confusing to people in the guild who didn’t know who I was.
It was even worse back then because when you hopped characters, your guild chats were completely reset, so you had no idea of what people were talking about while you were in loading screens.
There is currently no way to see account names in guild chat, but I completely agree with this notion. It’s been very helpful in other games that have this same function with multiple guilds.
Suggestion: Change Display Name
in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Just one question, looking at you with the odd/ridiculous display names that beg for a change. Why did you input that name to begin with?
I think the answers in this thread to that have been that they didn’t realize it would be publicly visible and they just wanted to put something in quickly so they could continue with their registration.
Right. Because “Display Name” sounds like something that’s private.
On creation of my account/s I was NOT told in any way, shape or form that it would be displayed pretty much publicly for everyone to see. Such was the same for many others. This has been covered in the thread if you actually read it.
Miss Lana.5276
Can I ask what you need so much Karma for, I gain a lot from doing things, but I not really found a need to use it except for the free gear while leveling.
For me, I’m buying every karma skin in the game for my wardrobe. With the cultural weapons costing up to 63,000 karma for each one and there being 5 sets, that’s 5,985,000 karma for that alone. Then of course there’s all the heart karma skins, the Temple skins at 42k karma each, the Lionguard and the Ebon Vanguard weapon sets, but I mostly have them now. And I bought a lot of obsidian shards (a couple of stacks at least) with karma in order to do ascended crafting. This was before the Silverwastes was introduced,
This is the reason why I’ve been farming karma. Only have the t3 cultural weapon skins, the Ebon Vanguard, Lionguard and some Pirate to go.
That and I still need tons for obby shards for legendaries, ascended items and Cragstone, but one can always get those from SW nowadays. After I get those, unless they add in more karma skins, that’s when I’ll put my karma farmin’ to rest.
Yeah, I tried open world PvP in another game, where anyone can come along and gank you at any time, even when you’re talking to an NPC, even though there were flagged challenge areas. It didn’t take long for me to uninstall that game.
No thanks.
Yes i’ve played a system like that as well, when you can kill just any one it ruins the game. The idea here is that only people who chose to “flag up” can fight each other, having no affect on people who are not “flagged up”.
This I wouldn’t mind, but I don’t doubt that it won’t be implemented. I’m sure we’ll be finally having a system that is specifically implemented for duels on release of HoT.
Do you do the daily?
in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I usually do the daily world boss, gatherer, vista viewer, activity participator and mystic forger when they’re available. If there’s an event daily I will completely ignore it, as I’m tired of competing to get even bronze in a single event on those days. Fractal dailies I will sometimes do if I’m in the mood, but usually if there’s less than 3 PvE dailies that I will do, I end up going into PvP and getting the last one/s there.
I mainly PvE, but I find that the PvP dailies are by far the easiest ones to do.
And yes, I generally try to do dailies every day.
As someone who quit LoL purely because of the abusive community (I was level 5 and I was being called a noob. I’m not kidding), I understand the frustration with online verbal abuse. If you’re in PvP I suggest having a tab with no chat and playing with that.
PvE in general isn’t too bad for verbal abuse, unless you’re going out of your way to be a kitten, and as for WvW I couldn’t say as I don’t do it much anymore.
If you’ve reported and blocked them, then good. That’s all that you need to do on your side. Now go out and enjoy the game instead of being hung up over one kitten.
