It’s a matter of taste I think, for me it looks absolutely funny. I was already a bit disappointed that event town-clothes had “proper” shoes for Asura (at least from what I saw in the preview). For me its something like a cultural habbit to have your toes sticking out of the shoes. (a strange one I have to admit, but anyway)

Indeed plus all hairstyles are worth nothing if you have to make a human bookah. Who would want that. Nah, seriously more styles of everything are very welcome any time but for the moment I’m pretty ok with the options we are given.

@twwizzie: Your post is contradicting A-Nets own statements that best stats can be acquired by different styles of playing.^^

I’m having a similar problem with town-clothes. When I transfer a set from my main-char to an alt, and try to color it the new colors don’t apply. When I remove the town-clothes the game crashes. As far as I know this only happens on the alt, my main char (that one who received the set when I bought it) seems to be uneffected by this.

Actually I like that, I would be pretty disapointed if they changed it for all shoes.

erm, why should I stop then. I love to collect skins, one certain skin is never enough. To bad the system doesn’t support the use of a variety of skins.

Hm, check if you got enough space inyour postbox or maybe delete one of your messages. Sometimes the system get stuck, but usually after deleting one message you get your item.

So you are against it because it’s manipulative? Then you should not even think about buying at a reduced price, no matter for how long they reduce it, if it’s a temporary sale. Or are you against it because the time of reduction is to short? Then don’t talk about manipulation because you willingly let yourself manipulate by the reduction and get angry you can’t.

The thing is, I would simply not let manipulate myself by a simple reduction to buy something I don’t need. I felt tempted because I could need some of the items they offered but I didn’t buy because I don’t need them now. When the time comes I need them, I will wait for a sale or buy it for the normal price. If consumers let themself manipulate so easiely they don’t deserve any better. (Sorry for beeing cynic)

But in a way you let yourself manipulate by the reduced price as well. So a manipulation by reducing the price and putting a big XX% discount sign at the product is ok, but doing it for a very limited time is not?

Honestly, I bought one of the town-clothes-sets for the full price one day before they reduced it by 50%. OF COURSE I was angry (mostly with myself xD). But really, stuff like this happens.

Not to be able to grab a special offer on sales is just bad luck, thats it, the item is still there for the normal price.

So you want sales-promotions to last for a longer period of time. Why don’t you write it then?

And guess what, even if they would last longer it could happen that you will miss a promotion.

Well I would say contact the support and ask if you can get a refund even though I doubt u’ll get one. I can understnad it is not cool for you on the other hand I personally don’t see a way they could make everyone happy without a huuuge efford. If they wouldn’t give out more mats those who could not loot the chest would be very unhappy. Now those who already bought the minis are unhappy.

If you could not loot the chest the first time and they hadn’t given out another gift it would be way worse than having one double mini.

I can fully understand that you are constantly lacking test-subjects but really there are more than enough bookah out there. There is no need to waste Asrua on this.

I think the system for those five is absolutely ok. Make 2 out of 5 and if you definitely want to have the other ones buy them for gems. They got a certain price, they are not cheap but you know exactely what you get. I mean they could have made all of them avaiable for gems only, so the two are a gift and I’m pretty fine with that.

I recently bought a chocolate where “Excelsior” is written on the package. First Asuran company in RL.

It prolly does not fullfill a juristic definition of gambling, in a way you can compare it to gambling at a funfair where you gamble only for small prices and which is allowed for underaged too. And ofc you get something for your money, but thats not the reason you bought it for, right?

Still I do not like it because you end up pretty likely with more money you spend than you intended before and than you would not have spent if you had known the real price in advance.

Btw there are other way to make a item rare and prestigious for example giving it a high price. But the chances are high many people wouldn’t spend any money on it right?

I personally don’t complain about not getting what I want of gambling boxes, I complain about the fact that I got no choice BUT gambling if I want to have a certain item.

In fact I gave up my wish on the item because I refuse to use the way that item is distributed. So I bought none of those boxes.

I think it’s a bit confusing. One time event and one time holiday event. Like I read it the question was if there will be more one time events like Lost Shore. The answer is maybe.

Not every other event in january, february or whenever will be like Wintersday because this one is a special holiday event.

That’s how I read it. I could be mistaken ofc but I think they would have told in advance if todays event was one time only.

I haven’t got any so far anyway and if they come from those triminiboxes in the shop I prolly never will. I don’t like buying a package to get a golem and end up with a fly. xD

Some parents realize it’s their responsibility to know what their children are doing (especially online!), and don’t try to deflect that responsibility onto others. Other parents prefer to blame a company instead. Of course parents should look into the shop; they should look into all aspects of the game. If that was all you were saying then I would’ve agreed; however, you stated that the boxes were still gambling and equated opening Black Lion Chests with underage driving and drinking alcohol, and that I just can’t agree with

In a way you are right. You have always to be aware that companies will sell their customers rubbish they don’t need and take their advantage of their weaknesses. I still make the mistake to think A-Net was somehow different, I should really get over this. They are a money-maschine like any other company.

Edit: I would like to add that I somehow hoped people would not fall for thoses gambling boxes (yeah I use the word again). But as it looks people complain alot but buy nevertheless. So I expect alot more boxes in future. No buying option for me, sry A-Net.

It’s not gambling. Players get items every single time they open a box. Just because the items aren’t exactly what they want, too bad. People don’t get exotics every time they defeat a mob either, but they go nuts over this particular RNG.

It still is no matter what rhetoric justification you use and it’s using real money here. And like I said I think this kind is not illegal but it’s not really kid-friendly either. And laws to protect young people are there for a reason. In case of gambling among others because younger people are supposed to have not that much control over their wishes and desires.

This summs it up pretty well. It may not be illegal but it is not perfectly ok either, at least not for me.

In my country 12 year old children are not allowed to gamble, drive cars or drink alcohol.^^ And as it happens this game is for people from 12 years on. I’m not saying this kind of gambling is illegal but parents should actually have look on what this gameshop is about.

I play an Asura and we got a similar problem. I have to say that I’m perfectly fine with my female Arsua wearing male-skins in general. I really appreciate, that she generally wears trousers or something at least looking like it was made for fighting. For example the female masquerade set looks awesome, but I can’t really imagine sending my norn with this clothes to orr or somewhere to fight something nasty.

I would really love to have more clothing options for any race or gender. As for the town-clothes I can understand, that there are people who are happy to have at least one female dress for Charr or Asura and I wouldn’t like to have unisex cloths the next time. But I would like to be able to choose if I want the male or female skin. I don’t mind male chars to have the same option I only don’t know if thoses dresses would be really sold often enough.

Well, call it strange but I have no problem with a bit of gambling from those Boxes which drop In-Game. If there is something really nice in – good- if not, who cares. After all I’m not someone who buys tons of stuff only because I hope to gain the checkpot.

I’m also fine with the way the dungeon-minis are distributed. Get two and if you want to have the whole set buy the rest from the gemshop for a certain price.

What I do not like at all is that Mini-gambling from the shop-boxes. Call it old-fashioned, but I think people should not be made gambling with reallife money.

I love that. When my Necro is in combat her ears stand up like little devils-horns and I think it really, really fits. In her spectral form she actually looks like a little devil which is amazing in my opinion.

I don’t mind buying maybe ONE box when I’m bored and opening it out of curiosity what might be in there. But buying loads of them just because I definitely want the jackpot seems strange for me.

Having played piano or something similar helps a big deal, still it’s pretty much different from real piano playing. You can have the same advantage from typing, I guess.

On my Asura it looks pretty cute. The thing is for my taste it is to much candy cute while I think my Asura is more the cheeky kind of cute. It somehow does not seem to fit It’s still a really nice costume in my opinion.

Its’ a natural tendency of ANY game forum to mostly contain people who are currently frustrated with some aspect of the game. Its’ simple logic, really: People enjoying themselves usually continue to enjoy themselves. They aren’t going to stop playing just to let you know about it. People who are frustrated want a place to vent their frustrations, so they come to the forum where a bunch of other people are doing the same place and find justification in doing so.

While there is usually a good point or two in every rage-induced post, its’ important to keep in mind that frustration tends to be accompanied by over-dramatization. Don’t take anything you see on the forums too seriously. Most “veteran” mmo players already know this, but its’ important to reiterate it every now and then.

So you are frustrated about the game or what are you doing here? The point is I was on the forum before actually because I felt like I had to “defend” the game for what it is/was. So when I now have some issues with some aspects now it just does not count because it’s negative?

Of course an event can be designed to fit for other races but it is like it is. If there are Asura leading events ten times in a row I would say the same as you, but really Heloween was rather wrapped around humans and their traditions, ok Lost shores has many Asura and now this. I’m pretty sure the other events will be designed for other races to lead.

I see still a huge difference between waiting in front of walmart and participating in something which is supposed to be fun. But when you like queing…

You know that oceanic players could barely make it due to work and you know that it was quite late for several european players. You know that many people had technical difficulties, right? So if you want the flaming to go on after another event…

Edit: And once again: I never said there should be nothing. Just something not that expensive. Like a 18 place box would have been quite fine too instead of a 20 place one and not make such a huge difference. Like I said before it might be different if people actually get the chance to participate.

And what I said is just the other way round to be precise, there should not be such a valuable reward for something a big porpotion of players might miss.

And I see a difference between something “good” and something insanely valuable. Plus I never said someone else is not allowed to have another opinion, but than give some arguments and don’t attack me.
