How about if you hit some1’s aegis from stealth or clean a blind from stealth then the cd of the person who used that skill gets reset because your mechanic gets to stay, why not theirs?

‘rampage’ seems to be a pretty good “oh kitten ” button.
Massive CC, more HP, Stability and a dash to run away. Furthermore, as already mentioned, ‘Throw boulder’ helps to keep following enemies away…

Whats your problem with the skill?

-very obvious incoming cc
-lose any method of condition cleansing
-boon steal/strip on ur stability
-incredibly weak attacks

People are talking about how they balanced the damage on the auto-attack chain so that it’s roughly 25% on Chop, 25% on Double Chop and 50% on Triple Chop.

Stronger bowstrings, what the hell? Lots of us have known about this issue for a loooooooooooooong time and I figured “Hey, everything was looked at and touched up, huge patch, yada, yada. Maybe that one skill I might swap in during sieges in WvW was actually made useful.” Sure, I didn’t expect Rush to work properly cuz… Anet and animation/pathing bugs… but in this huge trait overhaul this MUST be something they finally went in and took an entire 30 seconds to fix right? It’s really just an issue of copy/paste… So into my traits I go, glance over my lbow skill tooltips, swap in stronger bowstrings, and immediately my palm seemed to block my vision…

Now for those of you who don’t know what I’m referring to, the 1-4 skills on the lbow read differently when you switch in/out of stronger bowstrings, and I’m not just talking about the range number.

Dual Shot – damage value drops 6.6666% and changes to 100% projectile finisher chance
Fan of Fire – the burn switches to read 2 seconds but only ONE burn across three shots? how? o.O (the little 3 on the burn condition disappears) and changes to projectile finisher
Arcing Arrow – damage value drops ~38.25%
Smoldering Arrow – damage value doubles but radius disappears
Pin down actually reads exactly the same.
(while reading the skills naked in spvp with a steady weapon)

Now this text was always waaaaay off for a while and all I could remember actually being off was the damage on the auto attack dropped if you traited range. Text is NOT a huge issue, but actual mechanics and damage are.

Having SOME faith in Anet, I eventually dragged myself into the mists, grabbed a steady longbow, stripped off my armor and amulet, reset my traits to 0/0/0/10/0, and headed off to the dps trial golems. Lots of running away from golems and swapping in/out stronger bowstrings later and we have…

Aspects tested
-AoE of smoldering/penetration of pin down (mass of heavy golems)
-combo finishers on dual shot and fan of fire (healing surge/berserker’s stance -> my own f1 -> firing off at nothing)
-burn applied by fan of fire (# of ticks w/single arrow or all 3 striking a single target)
-actual direct damage of each skill (non-crit)

Results

Smoldering/Pin down
AoE and arrow penetration both working, condition durations appear to be the same

Combo Finishers on Dual/Fan
Untraited – rare on dual shot, never on fan of fire
Traited – always on every shot of both

Burn Application from fan of fire
Both traited and untraited applied 1 burn tick per arrow hitting target

Direct Damage values of every skill

TLDR
Damage on 1 and 4 skill randomly change, distances do appear to work.

Ok, seriously, thieves really need a buff and all but they DO NOT need a nerf when it comes to stealth. Here’s a little tip….THIEVES ARE NOT MAGICALLY INVULNERABLE WHILE IN STEALTH!

How effective each class is at hitting a stealthed object varies massively across the board. Melee AoEs? Sure. Any normal rifle/bow/pistol shot? Not so much… This game was not designed for you to ever actually use manual aiming.

You’re not running the LBow for auto attacks, that’s kinda like running GSword for auto attack.

Edit: Haven’t tested if they bothered to touch the 10% dmg bug yet. Running over to golems now.

Edit 2: Tooltips get messed up for all the skills so much still >.> gonna do some light testing on the actual results of hitting things tho.

Ya the 60 is character specific, but 30 is what 60 DR’s too first (just like your normal repeat 20’s DR to 10, it goes to 1/2). The DR is account based.

Anyone who thinks wars wont broken back then didn’t play Beta. Warrior burst line provided 1% extra damage on burst, Eviscerate did more damage than it did now, + there were other sigils and traits that boosted wars damage much more. Old divinity runes ect ect. Yes they overnerfed warriors but don’t claim something didn’t exist. It’s like claiming ranger GS damage was fine back then basing on how it is currently.

Ya… but you could still evisc now harder than he was. The people he’s playing against are just trash cuz it’s so early in the game.

There’s a lot of complaining about Final Thrust, but it does good damage if you land it. And it’s not exactly the first time Warriors get one of those skills. Kill Shot, Eviscerate, 100 Blades are all in that boat.

They are more of a support class than anything, which is why they do such good solo damage. Self-support. Which is different from having a high base DPS.

The part where he ‘escaped’ with bleeds on him and like 300hp? lol ya… he’s pretty bad if you watch closely too, the 2 rangers early on that he ‘breaks combat’ with (didn’t drop combat, just broke LoS) he hits his heal with like half a second of poison left.

If bleed application is going to be forced on a minor trait then they really need to get their act together on fixing overwriting. Basically same deal with the power line making your dodges proc confusion.

An aoe skill that does less damage than a single target cleave skill so you don’t spam it off cooldown because it’s more effective than said cleave? How terrible!

Maybe a way to fix this would be to give chanters a channel heal.

2 second channel , at the end of channel heal seal a bit. This way players can interrupt.

… if ur in range to interrupt then they would be fighting you instead of healing it…

Why do you have a greatsword trait in arms?…

Also if you wanted to improve dps more (after switching forceful greatsword for crackshot), 5 less in disc lets you put 5 more in arms, 10% more to anything bleeding, just be sure to start with an auto attack for 7.75s of bleeding. Avoid activating SoF early in a fight, you want to get use out of the passive b4 you use it for an adrenaline recharge.

The posts above are correct, the entire group of chanters is respawning after a wipe at any point. I’m going to change it so that only the 2 initial chanters will respawn on a wipe, and the larger group will spawn once the first 2 are killed. (As it used to work, except that the 2 chanters will reset after a wipe.)

There’s also something changed with the seal regen speed. I have been running this fractal at level 10 for a long time, and it was an easy deal even without leaving one chanter alive strategy. The regen speed at this level allowed for relatively careful approach, without the need to rush too much. Now, no matter how fast we move, the seals always regen to full.
It’s way harder than it was before.

Seals don’t have a regen speed, the chanters all cast heals on it. It’s only faster because you’re leaving more stronger enemies lying around with nothing to do but heal the seal.

The only change I made was making the cultists respawn after a wipe. I didn’t adjust the number of cultists at all.

Why would you be touching fractals at all lol?

IIRC there was an issue where people were wiping, seals were resetting, and they were stuck with nothing spawned because the flags for the spawns didn’t reset.

The biggest issue with precise strikes is it overwrites the bleeds of real condition builds. This switch would actually make condition builds more viable because they would stop getting their own stacks knocked off from some pure zerker warrior applying a bleed that does 1/3 the dmg/tick on a short timer. Altho it would be very annoying to condi warriors lol, they want the bleeds on minor so they can grab an adept like 50% bleed duration.

Yes it is expensive, atleast for some countries. I received it as a birthday gift, otherwise i would not pay 150-200PLN for this game at that point of time. Maybe it’s only 60$ for you, but 200PLN in Poland is pretty much.

If you’re dropping a bug list thread and you want players to start a new one, close this one. However MAYBE since there was already over a dozen posts above yours since the latest balance patch you should probably actually read it instead of throwing it out because you decided the very first post on a different page was too old for you and reading the dates on other posts, which are already nicely sorted into chronological order for you, was too hard.

Maybe anet should actually sticky a thread in each profession subforum players to report bugs and maintain it themselves? It’s always useful if the mechanic actually knows what he’s trying to fix instead of swinging around a wrench wildly.

Jump root => swap Aoe snare then whatever.

It really helped us catching squirrel builds, its a cc nerf we did not need

We did get a cripple on Savage Leap to make up for it, though. Granted, it was 7 seconds on Hamstring whereas the Savage Leap is 3s.

I suppose that they could increase the cripple on Savage Leap to 4s, replace the cripple on Hamstring with something cool like Poison and take away the ICD on Leg Specialist.

I just thought of two trait ideas that may make the warrior a bit more feared in PvP.

Warrior’s Endurance
Gain X Healing Power and Y Defense for every enemy around you (Max 5)

Primal Rage
Gain X Power and Y% Attack Speed for every enemy around you (Max 5)

Was thinking like 100 for Healing Power, Defense, and Power, and 5% for attack speed. No idea how balanced that would be but getting it balanced would make the Warrior someone you don’t want to gang up on because they get stronger the more backed into a corner they are.

Thoughts?

So in WvW you now sit somewhere with trash mobs within range and wait for some1 to try to poke you?

1. Trash mobs would have to be aggressive towards you.
2. If these traits were real who would go attack a warrior who is just waiting to be attacked?

1. Anything red named is as aggressive towards you as a player.
2. Dolyak routes, enemy supply camps/towers/keeps.

And that’s without taking into consideration that because of these changes, leg specialist doesn’t work so well anymore with Greatsword, Hammer and Rifle (traited).

The only one of the three that I see affected, not counting weapon swapping, is Greatsword. After all, the ICD on Leg Specialist is 5s, whereas Hammer Shock is 10/12s and Aimed Shot is 8/10s.

But at the same time, some ICD was necessary or the mh sword auto attack would be constant cripple&immobilize if you stacked duration and your opponent didn’t have -duration. Feel like the mh sword changes should be mostly reverted, keep most of the changes to the auto but move the cripple off it (replace with a bleed?), drop the leap cripple either in duration or entirely, put old hamstring in and add onto it a <50% effect (or w/e) if that’s really their solution to giving sword some burst.

and just to be clear, i mean if you want leg spec to drop the cd.

If you want a serious tried and true condi build, look to my thread, go with the orrion runes and put 5 into the strength line and 5 less in arms.

I know ur talking condi build and arms 25 only applies to direct damage, but the roll scales on power too and without vigor… I just don’t see it doing more than giving you 5% condition duration (while losing a little more than 2% crit chance, 50 condi dmg, and a larger boost to your power attacks than 50 power).

I’m even starting to believe that mobs and dungeons mobs do all a percentage of your HP cause it doesn’t make any flippin’ sense for an individual to have the highest toughness in your group go down the fastest in the group.

That belief would make the vit stat pointless too… should go resolve that cognitive dissonance.

I’m glad you take me seriously though.

Still, taking vitality will trump toughness in PvE vs where having toughness makes more sense in WvW. Toughness really needs saving, in regards to PvE. Like there being actual damage reduction, but not to the point where we have “tanks” again.

It’s been like this since beta. Axe 1 has always out-dps’d axe 5. Axe 5 is there to gain adrenaline and crit as many times as possible in a short amount of time to proc rending strikes and traits like it.

Also to make silly people run away in fear.

I’d say we could reflect projectiles with it, but I forgot that only thief is allowed to use that skill better than us.

The other day some guy used axe 5 in wvw that i was fighting with my lbow out, for a second I was actually thinking dagger storm but then i remembered he was a warrior and he was at ~800 range and trying to run… pindown->arcing shot

What Ethics is describing is a way for Anet’s statement to be true as well as having it jive with empirical data.

But what he missed is anet accidentally multiplied by -1
0-9 = 0.99% for a rare
10-19 = 0.98% for a rare
20-29 = 0.97% for a rare
in true anet programming and denial fashion.
