this is just a stupid idea.
and this is just a stupid answer not explaining/proving anything. No argumentation at all. Just someone who needed attention. Well you got it
Happy?
I think all depends on how easily you afford them.
If it takes you little time then do it, if it takes you a lot longer then don’t.
Guild Wars 1
PROS:
-story driven content (you could not go to different zones unless you unlock them through the storyline)
-animated action cutscenes throughout the storyline.
-heroes which made the solo experience better without nerfing the difficulty of the game
- dynamic scaling of server’s districts letting people choose which one to join
- server change from US to Europe and vice-versa free of cost and without time limitations / restrictions
- full hard mode – missions, zones – unlocked through the story
- all gears available for buying with less to none crafting required, just some gathering/buying materials, also very low diversity
- free teleportation between towns
- no level or profession requirement for all weapons
- getting to max level in about 20h for a new player only though quests and storyline missions
- repeatable story missions
- looking for “run” (travel or mission)
- player to player trading
- LFG tool used also for trading
- guild hall
- no selling / buying taxes or armor repairs
- unlimited quest log
CONS:
- lack of jumping and movement while using skills
- predetermined routes available for exploring (you can’t go everywhere you want to)
- cash shop items only buy-able with real money
- guild members number low limit
- difficult to understand the skills mechanic and combinations
- no voice chat on any NPCs in the world, just text bubbles (few exceptions in EotN)
- no checkpoints inside instances – storyline, dungeons: a party wipe required a re-run of the whole instance (with very few exceptions)
- no trading post made the chat in major cities become a “street market yell”
- no mail system
- no guild specific activities
Guild Wars 2
PROS:
- open world freely to explore
- no limits on where to go
- underwater content
- jumping and moving while using skills
- dynamic events and heart quests
- storyline designed quite differently for each character up to a point.
- living stories content
- no quest log
- everyone can auto heal and resurrect others
- trade post and mail system
- cash shop items buyable with in-game money too
- no party required for most of the game
- guild members number limit a lot higher
- guild specific activities
- crafting plus other mini pvp games
- predetermined usable build (weapon skills) easy to unlock and learn
- checkpoints inside all instances – story missions or dungeons
CONS:
- too simple cutscenes in the storyline
- no LFG tool
- no player to player trade
- no party required for most of the game
- teleportation fees
- selling / buying taxes (TP listing fees) and armor repairs
- weapons have level requirement and are not equitable by all professions
- no repeatable story missions
- payable and time restricted server transfer from EU to US and vice-versa
The Royal Terrace will be a thing, but it’s not the thing you think it is.
I knew it! It’s a theme park with rollercoasters!
This ^ – acess to all festival min games and others like Sanctum Sprint, Crab Toss, etc
or
the Housing district
No mounts in GuildWars2. Period. Get your fill of your glider mount in firefall or whatever the game was called.
and this is a suggestion forum and your comment is only good for a discussion. Now go to the discussion forum and let it here be suggestions. If you have nothing to improve it, don’t waste your typing
This would be cool as a very slow, controllable fall. I love the idea, but I’m not sure if it would be wise to put it in the game because of the advantage it would give in jumping puzzles.
there would be no advantage if they will put it far enough from them and you won’t be able to reach them. As you said, it is a fall not a climb
There are jumping puzzles where you have to reach a certain point below you with the least falling damage.
Example please. “There are jumping puzzles” isn’t really convincing. And even if there were, who said they will put a Glider so near to reach that location?
One or two Gliders in a zone will be more then ok.
The only glider i would add in Queesdale would be the Pumps where the vista is.
To expand the idea, there would be glider skins in gem store for those who want to “show off” when gliding

If you’ve never had a stalker in RL, good for you. It does happen to other people, though.
And how is this game’s fault? They didn’t force you to give them your account.
You can easily buy a new one and don’t give it to them so they don’t know you are online. ever
Permanent reminder of story mode I`ve still zero intention to do, ever.
I would only do the personal storyline in this game but sadly I need to do the usual grind of hearts and events to keep up with it. The story is the only thing that actually has a meaning to it not some number attached to your yellow bar

If and only if they can’t be controlled at all, you’re at the whims of the wind.
You are at the whim of the wind, that’s why it is limited time but you should control the direction. Probably the video I posted gives a bad impresion but I have played the agme and it really feel awesome to glide it. If you take sharp turns it may roll over and you are down, It can take a few up flows to lengthen the route but after that the speed drops significantly. It is really a good sense of adventure. I recommend you try it in one game. It is not like flying a mount. It is a game of how good you can steer and how you feel the landing
Levels, heart quests and scouts have been added to the game because people didn’t know where to go when they did the first public testes.
Adding levels to anything gives people a goal so this is why I feel GW2 couldnt go any further then that.
I would take out the numbers from levels and I would give a choice of skills every time the game “considers” you have reached certain point. You will never know when you will get the new skill so you will play and be surprised you can unlock again one more skill which you didn’t even know existed.
The list of skills is really predictable and with a wiki guide you know from the start which skill you want to buy and just level with that goal in mind.
Yes they could add new points on the map – GLIDERS, other then Vistas which players need to get there and then jump down with a glider, parachute, etc.
It will take you flying in the air but it will not last too long, you may even get killed if you don’t land in time and also it can be a sort of obstacles mini-game as you have to avoid rocks, trees, houses, etc.
They could add 2 achievements in Explorer: “Glider locations found” and “Perfect landing” while you have landed alive after using the glider because hitting an object will make the glider disappear

I think people having this issue is because of their real life friends, relatives co-workers etc. They tell them they are in one place and then those people see them in the game.
So it is not game fault, it is your nu-trusty personality.
Stalkers in the game are just /ignored so that won’t be a problem but people you know are hard to be ignored especially if you meet them in reality often
I think in the future,, Keil story will bring in some Lionguard heroism while the Evon will bring in some shady individuals with unexpected outcomes.
Keil is good to make the story a classic hero novel, while Evon is better for making it a thriler
I also think we will see both of them but later in the future. Besides, who said next year we wont have elections again
(edited by Ronah.2869)
Yes, you need to completed the 5 dailies for 3 days under the support token boost
This is just because you didn’t pay attention on the NPCs talk after beating the previous one and the answer you need to choose.
The idea is:
Can you give it a try?
Want to try one more?
How about just one more?
You think you can handle this?
I never really understood why Anet allow people to see the whole account…
So you don’t need to remember hundreds of character names and who they belong too instead of a few account names
There are a lot of things to break, smash, destroy in this game but most of them are related to events or heart quests. Of course you can “interact” and destroy them even after the event is over but it not giving an incentive to do so.
I remember we had around Christmas a dungeon Toypocalipse where we could actually destroy and smash almost everything not only if we wanted to, but involuntarely just putting a fire spell or a sword swing.
My suggestion is to create all over the world smash-able, destroy-able environment other then those needed for events, that would react to the spells or hits taken from random use of skills
I think this would really make the world more real.
The timer these environment items will spawn back will be around 20-40 min so it will seem "more"permanent destruction.
There is a place in Planes of Asford where if you fight some ghosts near some ruins (there is Vista point too) the skills break involuntarily the walls and the walls collapse .
What is this “rapier” people are talking about look like? Can anyone upload a picture?
I have 4 lvl 80 chars and not done the end part of the game once. All people who I talk about it say it’s not worth the time it takes. :/
You should not always believe others. People’s opinion is subjective
Playing the storyline you earn about 15 levels but as you are already lvl 80, you will earn 15 skill points plus you would actually learn a bit about the game’s lore so when a new “expansion” will come you will understand it better. You never know if the new story will be related to the end of this one so you will need to finish it before you can take part further on.

If you guys remember the Devil May Cry games, there were more difficulty levels.
http://devilmaycry.wikia.com/wiki/Difficulty_Mode
So, they could get rid of the dodge limit of 2 bars for these missions and let us have more hard modes available
Here are some names I have thought for these hard mode types:
Ok we start with current mode which is normal mode
1) Normal Mode
2) Hard Mode
3) […race based name for more immersion…] Mode
4) Corruption Mode
Here are the names for the […race based name for more immersion…] Mode
Human – War Mode
Norn – Hero Mode
Charr – Gladiator Mode
Sylvari – Nightmare Mode
Asura – Golem Mode
Note:
All hard modes will be unlocked after finishing the storyline in normal mode.
There won’t be the requirement of beating Hard Mode to unlock […Race name…] Mode and so on. This will give the players freedom to play and try them randomly like a dungeon
Hard Mode will keep the current game mechanics but for the next 2 Modes the mechanics will be altered so there wont be any dodge bar limit of stamina and the recharge/casting time of the skills will be reduced/fastened with 15% and 25% respectively
Hard Mode should be able to be done solo, but the other modes should require a part of at least 3 players and 5 players

+1
I would add
- checkpoint vistas so we can view what is ahead of us for the next part
- there should be added other type of puzzles not only jumping
Well, you are right, LOL. I just throw some cloths on me in the morning, didn’t think of checking the mirror first
I blacked the name just out of habit. No reason intendedDon’t worry, I’m giving you a warning for now. Just don’t let it happen again.
I am coming from APB so I wanted to do something like this
is your sylvari named nikki minaj by any chance?
No it is not
It seems thet not all personal story missions are bugged in this way. I had the lvl 31 mission in LA to join my Order, and the party couldn’t come. They didn’t see the Pop up window to join.
But after that mission, the next ones were ok. up until some Orr mission I remember
EDIT 1
I also noticed that the party member is not always seeing the cut-scenes even the story is in an instance not in open world
EDIT2
It seems that for all personal stories with a starting point in Lion’s Arch or Divinity Reach party members don’t see the join window. I am doing now Battle of Claw Island which had the same problem.
EDIT 3
It seems the Vigil storyline gets this non showing join window problem in open world too not only in Lion’s Arch

Why did you block out your name? Your account name is always in your post.
FASHION POLICE!
Your eyes scare me!Your outfit doesn’t work very well, the cabalist skirt is very difficult to match with a chest. You might want to rearrange your colors so that you can’t see the transition from top to bottom so easily. Because we can, it has a very off-putting and disorganized look to it. Also, you should get better shoes, there are quite a few good looking models in the game that will go well with the leggings on that skirt. But of course, these are just suggestions.
Oh and yea, I agree with your op.
Well, you are right, LOL. I just throw some cloths on me in the morning, didn’t think of checking the mirror first

why do you want to force all the people who want to wvw to pve?
does not make sense to me what soever
WvW is not a pure PvP.
i know that, but the fact that hes asking to make ALL three sides allies to fight dragons is PURE PVE.
its a very bad idea.
Ok, you can fight with the other servers and the dragon if you prefer, but the idea fits in the general lore of the game: nations have war with eachother but they make alliance for fighting the dragons.
I guess WvW is not a place out of GW2 universe, if so, my bad, sorry
sorry about my stupid question but what’s FoW?
Anything developing around the personal story is good +1
why do you want to force all the people who want to wvw to pve?
does not make sense to me what soever
WvW is not a pure PvP. It is zerg vs zerg or zerg vs few. or even more precise, it is a open word PvP with PvE elements in it
There is no incentive for a lot of players to come and try WvW and these Dragon events could be it
Here is a nice discussion bout how to bring more people to WvW
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/PvE-ers-What-would-it-take/first
(edited by Ronah.2869)
It would be nice if there will be added unexpected events in WvW to make the world domination unsure for all 3 servers. As it is now, if a server has less manpower to conquer a map, the match gets boring due to the long amount of time it takes: Keeps and castles are “forever” conquered and world completionists won’t even bother to lend a hand.
The unexpected events I am referring at are huge dragon attacks over those castles. The team who has the castle will need to defend against the dragons while the other teams may see it as an opportunity to conquer that castle.
A new mechanic will be brought into the game called “Solidarity” meaning that during a “Dragon Attack event” all players from the 3 servers will become friendly and wont be able to attack each other but they will focus on the Dragons.
After the dragons are defeated, the players become enemies again.
The number of dragons attacking a castle will vary randomly so we will never know if there will be a single dragon or more (3-5 ) preparing an attack.
Because we are in WvW and we have Catapults, etc, the dragons will be shooting fireballs, etc similar to our equipments
First we will have to take them down from the sky and then attack them.
I think this idea will bring more PvE’ers into WvW because the Dragon events wont get them killed like a usual zerg would do and also these events will create hot spots in the map.
If a castel is attacked by dragons, there is no reason for the other 2 servers to stay away and watch the 3rd server getting killed, because the castles will need to be captured from the dragons so, they will not become “free” places to conquer
I think they created WvW because they didn’t want to put PvP into PvE adn they didn’t want to implement dueling in PvE (yet). So they created a huge zone similar to PvE with mobs and events to kill and they throw in there open world PvP mechanic.
So, they made GW2 be a 3 games in 1: PvE, PvP, PvE with free for all PvP
I think the repair costs are those who bothers more people the most, then there is the bad feeling getting pawned so fast and multiple times., then it is the general adversity against direct combat with other players
Your idea is good too GreenNekoHaunt
It happened to me yesterday when trying to do a personal story mission in Cursed Shore with a friend. He couldn’t get into my instance even if until then we played all of them together.
There is no simple way to see what order you are with one character other then looking to find it through storyline missions so here is my suggestion to make it simple and easy
It seems no one ins interested in replaying the personal story mission
Here is picture to exemplify my suggestion
If you can’t figure out you don’t enjoy a race up until you are lvl 80 it is not A-Nets fault. You could go to PvP zone and see all your race skills at lvl 2 so “i didn’t know the skills for this race/profession” won’t save your case
So No race change
You are joining an order because you “agree” with their methods of solving the dragon problem not because of the fancy looks. If you are doing it just for that, there is full of wiki pages on how the armors look on all races. Again, not A-Nets fault, but your own
So No for order change.
(edited by Ronah.2869)
So you played this game 4 weeks and 3 days and quit? This is fast man.
I guess you should be doing other things than playing MMO games. MMOs are not 10h movies, they are soap operas with hundreds of episodes.
The experience scrolls were nice… if you didn’t already get all your toons past 20. All my toons are to high of a level, making the scroll pointless. Anet really shouldn’t have made it account bound.
You should consider this for the new characters you all will make when they will add a new race. It is not for now, It is for the future. They want to make your new race character have an easy experience. because I am sure they have a statistic on how many low level characters are in these over 5000 points accounts
(edited by Ronah.2869)
I think you mean something like this but designed in GW2 style. Yea, I support this with two more suggestions to it :
1 ) chat option show/hide emoticons (for people who like a clear chat window)
2) make them race based designed so we can see from them what race a chat talker is
This suggestion transforms GW2 personal storyline into a similar mechanic with the GW1 missions, letting players replay every mission in their storyline plus experience another story lines while helping other players.
More then this, may transform the simple storyline missions into mini-group based instances with the addition of the hard mode.
Unlocking Hard Mode only at the end of the storyline creates incentive to play and finish your character’s storyline
After finishing your personal story, it would be nice if we could unlock the hard mode version for each mission.
These would have a button “replay” unlocked in the hero panel next to each mission, which when pressed it will say:“replay mission in normal mode or in hard mode”
In this way we catch two things in one shot: mission re-playability plus a new mode which might require a group.
Completing the story in the hard mode will unlock new achievements and possibly a title for the account and another pact weapon coin.
There are 3 types of situations in which a character get to Orr territories
1) a player gets there without doing any personal story missions
2) a player gets there with the personal story missions and hasn’t beat Zaithan yet
3) a player gets there with the personal story missions and has beaten Zaithan
The Orr looks ok for the first two but for the 3rd one the Orr has no change even the
Dragon has been killed.
How can we change that because Orr is not an instance?
Here is my solution
The developers create a beautiful Orr, ruined but beautiful and interchange it with the current Orr with a random timer 15 min, 25 min, 40 min, 5 min etc
This new situation fits good for all 3 situations
1) the player who got in Off with no purpose to kill the dragon but through exploration, will feel the presence of the Dragon though the changing world
2) the palyer who is there through the story missions and has yet to beat the Dragon feels “the dragon power is weakening”
3) the player who has beaten the Dragon feels the Orr is going to be purified
We have had missions using illusions as foes – killing the mouth of the dragon – so this change would fit the world lore too
The zombies will transform into their original form: humans, charrs, cow, chickens, skales etc when the world transforms from ugly to beautiful. The events will continue as they are. The Temple bosses will be the only ones who will remain the same because their magic is more powerful then the others
I think this would make Orr a more enjoyable territory to explore for all types of players
But what happens if you support BOTH of them to get the titles. o-o
You can get both titles but you can display one at a time, isn’t it?
In the game now the emotes are a simple chat command which isn’t very obvious for all players because there is no emote list in the game
I have seen that we have the trumpet, the flute the dancing volume 1 and the costume skills.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we would have the emotes as skills too and an emote skill bar?
In the hero window, the skills and trait panel, a new category will be added: Emotes
Also, a new button will be added in the interface to the right of the skill bar similar to “switch weapon / drop item” button which will turn the skill bar into an emote bar.
If there are more then 10 emotes available, then this would be customizable as the skill bar too
I think this will make people use emotes more easily and frequently then as it is now with this chat command
(edited by Ronah.2869)
adding more skills and weapons to each profession might turn it into something similar to a second profession. Elementalists with long swords, Warriors with daggers, etc
Yes, an encyclopedia of the foes “tied up” to the Slayer achievement would be really cool to have.
