To introduce that non targeting system they need to put in the middle screen reticule which I doubt it’ll ever happen
The only available place for buying gems is retail shops with gem cards or the ingame Trading Post. Anything else is dangerous for your money
A Net said they wont make it hidden for whatever reason so, finding a solution with that in mind is more appreciated then personal reasons to say NO to whatever we have.
I’d invite you to look at the picture posted at the beginning of this thread from another game by Fyrebrand.4859 and then say “Thank God, we don’t have this in GW2”
(edited by Ronah.2869)
I would be irritated. I don’t want it there at all. Aside from the clutter/aesthetics issue, it’s also a functional/game mechanics issue. I don’t want all that junk text (and, yes, for someone who plays the game primarily for WvWvW and/or PvP, it IS junk text) obstructing my ability to aim an arrow cart targeting reticle, for example.
I dont give a kitten about PvP or WvW. My reply is from a personal perspective like yours so you shouldn’t feel offended anyway
agreed +1.
Really good suggestion
If they would just let the list collapsed if we choose so and not expanding it all the time for various reasons, it will solve this issue with dignity. I dont think people would be irritated to see just 3-4 rows of text.
I think the OP wants to say that these living stories should alter the current state of the game in a way that it will feel different. A sort of permanent change,
Lets think of Brahan and Rox. Where are they now? We should see them in the respective zones participating / starting different events.
And later, when or if they will make another episode with them, we already know them from the world (if we are new players) or from the Molten Alliance story (if we have already experienced it)
We helped them save their village. Did they just vanish in the air?
MMO players can be divided into 3 categories:
1) the casual happy player = a player who doesn’t take the game seriously because he/she is aware of the personal time limitations for achieving goals.
2) the professional achievement hunter = a player who has a lot of time to dedicate into the game and because of this he/she is not visibly affected by the time schedules / limits on quests, events, living story, etc.
3) the casual achievement hunter = a player who has started to play the game as a happy casual and turned into an achievement hunter.
These are the un-happiest players because they set up goals for themselves which can’t be achieved due to their time limit and personal time limitations
My advice is:
if you start as a happy casual player and you know your time limitations for playing the game, try to remain the same and not turn into an achievement hunter more then possible. If you are able to overpass this disappointment and frustration given by your personal time limitations, then you will still enjoy the rest of your time in the game,
Can we have some statistics after each “living story” you add in the game? As long as you consider this content similar to TV series, you should add the statistics like TV ratings too
Not something very sophisticated, but the answers to some questions:
- What % of accounts have tried specific parts of the content
- What % of accounts have finished all respective achievements
- What % of accounts have finished multiple times certain content parts
etc
I think this will give the player base a general idea of how the game is going because in my opinion the content added is addressed to different niches and not the entire player base.
Don’t worry people, the rewards will be the same useless skins which almost nobody will use, similar to the HoM rewards from GW1.
Anything involving flying will do it for me. I wouldn’t mind the crouching either for sneaking past most enemies especially in Orr
Has anyone thought of the zone between LA and Kessex Hills?
(dont know how to add a quote )
Its the arrow in the low right of a comment
Even if you see those you can’t help them. The kills or gathering don’t count for the others if its only you who does them. To put it simple, you can only help others killing the foes they hit but nothing else.
Remember, heart quests are not events.
I think the Lining story content – except the gathering/killing 1/1000 things and the little cutscenes here and there – is just a “beta” for getting the reactions from the players.
Remember they are working on the paid expansion and what a better way to see how people react to different types of content if not add it for testing every 2-3 weeks.
It is small content with small bugs and even if they are major ones the content will be wiped out in short time – case solved: no one cares because in a few days new content is up and people forget the old one.
Where is the new JP?
Gendarran Fields, south of Broadhollow Waypoint (Map chat code: [&BOEAAAA=]), to the west of the portal to Lion’s Arch.
thank you
another question. How do you find that code to post it in here?
(edited by Ronah.2869)
Where is the new JP?
This dungeons is not based on how intelligent you are – i guess by now all player know what they need to do in there, but it is based on dexterity. The older player you are the less chances you have to do it unless you programmed your moves as a zombie robot
Well cya no one will miss you
How do you feel if someone else would say the same thing to you?
And that is ok, in games as is in life, no one is expected to be able to achieve everything. If a person puts that on themselves, then they are setting unrealistic goals. Maybe they will get better and be able to manage the next one that comes around.
Games should be design in such a way to make every player escape the cruelty unfair real life. We all know the discrepancy in reality, why do we need to face it in the games too?
I think 60% of the players are just casual gamer. They hit on then with “non-doable” content, with RNG boxes and Overpriced items in TP
It is enough we have Elitists in the game, now we see them in A-Net developers too
Sad but true
This game is made by amateurs regarding platform gaming. I haven’t seen worse jumping in any game. Hey, A-net, you should try to take lessons form Ratchet and Clank, Price of Persia, Tomb Rider and many others. Those are “jumping of things” not this crap that 3/4 parts of the character (Norn, Charr) stays out in the air next to the object. And these crates in this dungeon are one of the worst too.
2 competitors to come in the area of mmorpg,
just put it in the game does not have to be so not in the game yet.
Is one of these ESO? if yes, you will be totally disappointed by it. You will “hate” leveling in there a lot more. If you ever play it, I bet you wont be able to get to max level in 50-60h and I bet there is no class / race changer either
That’s what players wanted. Content that can’t just be done by everyone.
Not me for sure. Even if i start to sound like a socialist/communist, I’d prefer content doable by all players then this crap
I don’t think they will implement such a thing because the leveling time is very short in this game so anyone who gets bored of a character can easily make a new one.
The price for a new slot would be the same as for this race change kit.
I remember there was something similar in GW1 Factions campaign
We all like to preview armors or armor skins but we only see the “new” armor with the colors of our current armor. This create a big confusion on how the “new” armor looks.
To change the colors in that armor, we need to have those colors physically in our inventory to drag them in the slots.
I suggest the preview window will have all the dyes unlocked by the character which previews it or even better a check box [x] Show all dyes account dyes, so we’d be able to make different variations of colors for the “new” armor
This is good and convenient suggestion
ok, you reset the story and skill. How about the level? You reset that too or you have an instant lvl 80?
This dungeon is do-able only by those who managed to do the clock tower in Halloween plus a few more. The rest are totally excluded.
Lol, no, it’s not. Die a lot, and learn the mechanics, once you get the rythym down it’s ridiculously easy.
If you still can’t do it, wuss out, grab a bunch of PVT (Soldier’s) Guard’s and Warriors and do it. Pretty much a faceroll at that point.
Nah, its not worth it. If they release content for just a few, then let those few play their game. I’ll focus (probably) on the other achievements

- no mail sending
I’m sorry to say, but this would really, really get in the way of people trying to lure their friends into GW2 fair and square. When someone lures ME into a new game, the FIRST thing I do is message them for instructions.
The restriction should rather be that you cannot send or receive items and gold in mails. Text mails should be okay!
You as a veteran player can mail to them instructions if you don’t want to join their party to talk freely.
They can’t send you any mail as response but they can whisper to you.
This is for the new free botter accounts who would send the gold to amaster account or to buyers.
If you want to send your friends instructions, you can do it through the real life mail too
Besides, if they are your real life friends, you are supposed to use voice chat programs so no mails needed
People are not doing the dances because they need 1 free spot in their inventory to carry the book with them.
I don’t understand why A-Net is releasing things that fill up inventory when they can be just recipes to be learned by all account characters
Hmmm….Just wondering how would that work in real life blocking all the “annoying sounds” of anti-government protesters and football supporters
Irrelevant. This is a game, not real life.
Nice try to pooh-pooh a suggestion, though.
If this is a game, why do they care if people get too rich so they add gold sinks like WP, TP listing fee, armor repairs… Inflation? Hmm… that is a real life thing
If this is a game why do we have daily activities – aka go to shop, go to work, cook the food, play with kids – and monthlies – as for a better payment
Everything is to mimic Real Life and create a virtual reality similar to what we are used to. There are a lot of NPC’s talk to emphasize this feeling of reality: “Now go back to work”, “Work work work, What’s the fun in that?” etc.
So as we can’t mute people in real life just because we are annoyed by them, we shouldn’t mute them buy a simple ignore function
I’d rather make an event starting at a certain “noise” level having Seraphs or any other “law” faction coming to shoo away the noisy citizen
That would be more fun wouldn’t it?
But hey, it is hard to think of a good suggestion from the game’s perceptive and not from the personal annoyances
A pretty dumb way to light a tree ablaze, but I guess they felt they didn’t want to completely waste the special animation.
Nah, it was all for making people dance on fire rituals: remember the burning of the supposed witches by the Inquisition? Nothing in this game is there just randomly. Everything has hidden messages and symbolism to it

I can agree with 2 characters which will be bound to their starter zone.
Having no access to Lion’s Arch, the players won’t be able to experiment festivals but will have a taste of what they are like seeing the festival things dropping in their zone.
Having people into the starter zones will benefit the game even if they wont buy the game because they will fill up these zones and anyone can see how awesome GW2 is when there are players around.
Also, if you have friends with trials you can always come to them in the starter zones and have fun
“No TP activity” and" No mail sending" and “No zone chat” + "1 gold max will pretty much eliminate all farming/ spamming bots
Restrictions:
- 5 characters, 5 racial cities, 5 starter zones, No Lion’s Arch
- no zone chat /m
- no Trade Post activity (buying-selling) other than viewing
- no mail sending
- max level 20
- max inventory 1 gold
- max bank 1 gold
- max tier 1 in all possible achievements
A free trial is welcomed with some restrictions that won’t frustrate the real players too much but will do it with most botters
You can make the guardian a dedicated healer but it gives you a different feel then other MMOs because you have AoE heals not click target ones so you need a bit of strategy to be good at it.
I should add that these chests would be available once in a day.
real fur is cruel
LOL, ‘coz I can’t say anything else
These puzzle locks will have different layers of difficulty which will be randomized between all the chests in the world. In this way you may find a difficult puzzle in the starter zone and an easy one in a lvl 80 zone
The rewards of these chests will vary depending on the puzzle difficulty but they wont be randomized. They will guarantee a reward consisting in a rare, exotic or ascended item.
I think this will bring a little bit more brain activity in the game.

It will be nice if there will be different treasure chests placed around the world with randomized puzzle locks. It feels too simple to press F all the time on the current chests, but I can understand, they are rewards for fighting different bosses.
These new treasure chests can be added on the map as icons like Vista’s and PoI’s
Here is a clip that can better explain what I mean
(edited by Ronah.2869)
In other words, you want to go in a starter zone and put a meteor shower and kill all the bandits in the ranch with one skill and then /cheer and /laugh ?
Aetherblades has permanent content.
I am not talking about opening new zones, but to have something in the old zones that will give a reminder of the things that happened.
Aetherblade will have new content in old zones.
What is wrong with my suggestion? Do you see anything in any zone reminding you about the molten alliance or the refugees or the consortium slaves?
The new content hasn’t started yet so you never know what they will do.
Plus, they will open the sea of sorrows zone and that is not fitting my suggestion.
(edited by Ronah.2869)
It would be nice if there will be a different festival in each racial city throughout the year and not only in Lion’s Arch.
These festivals should be related to the specific race.
Here I will give a few example of how they might be called
– The Booming Tree Festival in the Groove
– The Gladiator’s Rage Festival in Black Citadel
– The Hero’s Festival in Hoelbrak
– The Scientist’s & Inventor’s Festival in Rata Sum
– The Gods’ Celebration Festival in Divinity’s Reach
Having these festival for 1 week each will fill up 5 weeks in the year with content that will bring the players into the other cities then LA
