Sure, It helps but it is easier to say then done . The same as the laser room in the other Aetherblade dungeon from a previous LS
I Tried that one about 20 times and couldn’t pass the laser room. I have tried this 4 times and no pass the ooze room. Surely I am not gonna waste time for another 16 runs to have the same result. Sorry.

Could have made the oozes green.

It is better to disable the elementals than to kill them. Reflect and knockback are more than enough.

tl;dr Use mesmers and guardians.

Why so many titles in PvP/WvW?

You are right. I am not playing any type of PvP. It is not my style. The only time I was there it was for the World Completion star and some occasional Festival events.
But, like someone said above, it would be easily to add similartitles in PvE like killing 1.000.000 dredges will give a title.

I dont understand why there are so many (permanent) titles for playing PvP/WvW and so few for PvE. I mean why cant we have titles in PvE for playing our profession or killing different types of enemies or participating in different events.

New races don’t add anything except more work.

Well, actually, it will add a LOT. Read the following from Windu The Forbidden One.6045

Making a playable race would involve making:
-The race itself (models, animations, sounds, voices)
-Create a personal story for them (lvl 1-20 quests)
-Give them an appropriate starter area and capital.
-Create racial skills
-Create cultural armor/weapons
-And god knows what else..

And to the rest of repliers. A-Net said they are not going to add a new profession because the ones they have now fill all the roles. The only possibility is to add a new race which they said it will be one of those mentioned in these forums.
I think it will be either Tengus or Largos, but I wanted to give them something to think about.

New race every 4 months

I suggest that the living story will find a way to introduce a new playable race every 4 months.
You guys said you have 4 teams working on this living story content and they cycle every 4 months. So in this time you can create a playable race and starter zone for it.

I am suggesting this now so you can start this idea from the next year.

There are a lot of races in the game that are worth to be played. Fist of all, we need to look at each race from a good/bad antagonists situation. Some races are purely enemy race – like the centaurs – while others are friendly and enemy to others as well.

Here are some of my suggestions on what races could/should be playable
- Skrit
- Jotun
- Kodan
- Tengu / Sensali
- Grawl
- Hyleck
- Quaggan
- Largos

As I said before, I don’t see as playable races: centaurs, ogres, kraits nor ettins

A great variety of races would be welcomed to GW2 because the animation are pretty much done and very few tweaks should be invented.
The skills for professions will remain the same while you can invent 2-3 special skills/ animation for them

It is not important if the new starter zones are far away from the current zones, you can add a temporary aura gate for traveling up until the zones in between will be opened

Fix "Champ Farming"

The positive effect is that when a new player comes he/she always will see players around and will enjoy the starter zone. This feeling will vanish really fast after leaving the Queenstade and going out to explore more.
I suggest to let this as it is so at least some zone in the game feels full of people

Please Combine Low-Population Servers!

Make one huge server where all players can be (overflows created when needed) and loose the home world crap and exchange it with a “Faction”.
People should choose a faction when creating the first character and changing the faction will cost gems.
Very simple.
The whole server idea is for the WvW. As WvW is a separate game mode from the whole GW2, you can make it non-affecting the other parts. I really don’t mind loosing the bonus exp from the home server becasue it can be transformed into Faction bonus.

The Living story is a “testing program”. They throw in different concepts and players are giving their feedback. The ones they like will be noted and developed.
One example is: they added various events in the world but people didn’t seem too interested to discover them. In the end they managed to create the Scarlet invasions to see if people are doing the events if announced in the chat. People respended positively to this type of mechanic.
So, I guess they are gathering information “on live” about what people enjoy and what not. Instead of working on a big expansion and then have a lot of bugs in it, they can make small additions and people can give feedback on it.

please no. nothing else than classical orchestral music. Thats what fits in fantasy game. Look at skyrim, it has the same composer, and the soundtrack is perfect. no need of metal or something. Jeremy Soule just didnt perform his best in GW. We need another composers. But please, no folk or metal or electro or anything else.

Guns and helicopters, flying steam powered machines, Science fiction themes and robots don’t fit good in a fantasy dragon game, right? But we still have them.

Although the music is great it still feels repetitive and has the same tone in every place / zone. It feels like an elevator music. it is not an action soundtrack which will “make you wanna fight”. It is just making you feeling relaxed and sleepy.

Crafting should be more then just a list

The crafting is really nothing more then check list. There is absolutely no visuals or customization.

I would rework the whole process and actually create customizable things.
Lets take for example a sword. it contains some parts:
blade,
handle,
insignia

I would like to be able to choose the blade type/skin and the handle type/skin and even the insignia special effect where it is available.
So when i select the sword blade for crafting it should open a window with various styles and shapes – aka skins- from which I could choose the one I like to craft.
The same things with the handle too.
Some insignias may add some effect to the weapon so i would like to choose which one I will add.

So, the types/skins we can select from should be from in-game but also some exclusive only to crafting. Adding skins to your crafting selection can be done with the salvaging.
You may extract the skin from an item and add it to your account crafting selections

I like Scarlet and the events are better then any dragons. Dragons are so much overdone in all games that I really don’t better to see any of them.
If Scarlet creates a new counter force to all Tyria then this is good start to have something similar to the While Mantles in GW1.
I’s rather see the Scarlet story developing a lot more then some recycled festival events.

I think ‘Living World’ is a very good concept, and fits in well with ‘Dynamic Events’. There may be some rough edges and two weeks is kinda short, but it does give you a feeling that nothing is static in the game. All-in-all, zones are never finished with, as in more traditional MMOs.

The main game problem seems to be that there is no way to knowing which zones are busy, so everyone is spread out. On low-pop servers this gives a GW1 instanced feel to the game as ‘Dynamic Events’ are inhibited. I sometimes wonder if all the improvements over GW1 have been worth it, as you are effectively playing the old game with a bigger processor and RAM, far too often.

and you are playing it alone with no heroes helping you. This is a big issue

When they announced they have changed the boss fights I was thinking about this what you said not adding some jumping pads to the original fight.
Well, this requires more animation then what they did I suppose there will be long time since we will see any actual change to the boss fights

This is what I believe GW2 needs to give to its users in the future so we truly feel this is an amazing, polished game that delivers a quality service to the users. This isn’t just about the game being ‘fun’, but rather that we feel the game suits itself to our needs.

[Daily change]
Too much freedom in video games is bad arena net. Sometimes we just want you people to create a challenge and tell us to go do it. If you have this huge world, with level downscaling so we can revisit every area (something I proposed you guys did on GW1 and I was very happy to see in gw2) , but the daily doesn’t force us to go to a specific one, people will always go to the lower level zones since its faster.

This is a game, and people will always take the most optimized option if they can.

I would change the daily, to instead of broad options, to just one, such as “do dungeon X, or do dungeon path X”, “gather 50 stuff at Lornar pass”, “complete 3 mini-games” and so on. This will make this game just seem much more varied. People will have more fun with this and really go throug the whole content of the game.

I just read this. No need to continue while you are assuming the new players should be excluded from the game “because they are noobs”

We just need bigger, taller, fattier bosses that look actually like Bosses not the same NPC from the crowd only in a a little extruded up version.
The scarlet Chaps and Lieutenants were just the right type of bosses I would like to see. maybe even the Molten alliance Shamans, but not the Aetheblades. They were just lame.

I use them when i get them. I am not waiting to get full stacks. The same thing with every material I sell. I got like 5-15 of them I sell. So again, It is just your problem.
Also, from a realistic point of view, you can’t eat 250 pies in 1 bite. That would feel weird

Disconnect between content and...well reality

I have played with the same PC from Lost Shores to the current scarlet and all I can say is they have done a lot of work improving the performance. In lost shore I had to make my window mode like a 1/4 of the screen and had like 3 fps while now in Scarlet I play full screen with 9 fps, without changing anything in the graphics.
I am playing a custom medium graphics.

Master title is needed - like GWAMM in GW1

GW1 is a non-evolving game. GW2 is evolving so the title cannot be done for the simple fat as the PoI work now. Those who got map completion will still have it even if they add new PoIs in it. It won’t be fair for the new players.

Remove all the weapon/armor skins from the in-game and add them to the gem store. Let only the stats be found in the game from basic to legendary/ascended but the weapon/armor will have the basic look

Gem store items being purchasable with in-game money will be considered as a grind for those who want to do this and not spend real cash.

In this way the Style tab in Gem Sore will be a vast “wardrobe” from which each player can choose his own look.

Add different prices or requirements for skins like " required lvl 65+ armor to apply this skin" or “required an exotic weapon to apply this skin”.
Of course people can buy the required item and use the skin on it and then he can use a transmutation stone to get it to a different level weapon/armor.

Why was Karma income nerfed by ~90%?

Remove the karma needed for Legendaries and bring back the old system. For the 1-2% of players (~10.000 – 20.000) who farm the legendary, all the others have to suffer this nerf.

How about a holographic panel machine in various locations throughout the world, built by aura technicians, showing a “clip” of the ongoing living world and two golems standing on each end of the panel which when clicked/interacted will show on the holo-screen the past events cutscenes (1st golem) and stories (2nd golem)

Asura are always funny so this will be more amusing to visit then the heralds

They looked at the player base and all they saw were grinders and farmers. The new players which are in majority here compared to GW1 players are coming from F2P asian MMOs where they are used to grind and pay-to-win concepts. You cant put up with them as long as they are the only ones who are spending loads of real money in the game.
Besides, they are releasing the game in China, the land of grinding games.

I think that’s a bit of a conspiracy theory there, suggesting that they are gating karma hardcore just to keep people playing longer.

I think it’s far more likely that karma jugs will be on the gem store soon, but they didn’t want to make this karma nerf at the same time or people would quickly come to that conclusion. I’m thinking November or December- karma jugs on gem store.

Doesn’t affect you, I like to think of it as a potential story piece. So, why would you care exactly in detail?

Wingfins are their race specific characteristic.Its like having an option for charrs ro hide their tail.
