I’m glad to hear it. I never have. Perhaps its the RNG. Perhaps its DR. The best I’ve gotten was a gold. Frankly most of the golds are uninteresting and run of the mill.

The one exception was during the current event I got one of those dragon backpack skins from a wooden chest. I sold it for 10 gold. It was a nice surprise. Go figure, the best drop I ever got came from killing an ordinary mob.

Also you were speaking of world bosses. What about the other champions?

Champions drop a blue or better – this is set by Anet and increasing the color of their drops won’t help anything. I’m surprised that jumping puzzle chests don’t have better loot, but then if they did people would just farm the easy ones.

Whether we like it or not, loot changes game players behaviors. If people feel there is no chance to get better loot from particular champion = They just skip that champion. This is the reason that World events and dungeons are being done and everything else neglected.

You may disagree, but If I am going to go through the trouble of an extended fight with a champion then I want a shot at something better than the same old junk. I’ll leave the logistics of it to Anet.

It’s a no brainer though. Better loot from champions means people will take them on. There’s a ton of them that I wanted to fight, but they sit empty other than world bosses. That kills the content and the fun.

I’m glad you’ve gotten drops. I haven’t in nearly a years time. That is a drag.

Don’t blame drops for over saturation of the TP with golds. There’s 80 levels in this game that you move fairly quickly through. No one is ever going to dump huge money into weps and armor. Once they are 80 they are working on their exotics.

This drop argument is pretty insane when you factor in magic find. Their stance on drops has always been weird.

Cost is not that high… Try to actually do something when you fast travel to a place. Kill 1 or 2 mobs… You will be able to cover the travel cost and then some.

I’m not going to complain about speed or WP’s, but the above is not often true.

Lion’s Arch to Orr WP cost: 3s+
Typical drops from two mobs: 1 porous bone: 16c
Lucky drop from 2 mobs: 1 porous bone + 1 Fine item: 16c + 96c = 1s12c.

Plains of Ashford from Orr wp cost: 3s+
Drops from 2 mobs: 2 gray items worth 3c each

Now, if you run around for a while doing events and killing mobs, you come out ahead, but not 2 mobs — at least not very often.

I agree. You have to kill at least 20 to make up the waypoint costs fora level 80. It more affordable for lower level characters.

Cursed Shore actually got worse. It use to be a farming theme-park with Tunnel Farm, Gates of Arah defense (it was rewarding to defend Arah), Plinx, etc… and nearby was the Straights of Devastation “karma-train”.

Karma trains became obsolete with new dynamic events, and karma jugs and boosters. Nobody was going to do the karma train anyway after these were implemented.

Cursed Shore was mostly used for bag farming, which was bad design to begin with, since it devalued other content.

There are still temples and other stuff. Nothing got worse there.

I don’t know about DE’s being obsolete. People just prefer to do the world bosses which are DE’s with chests. It all comes down to loot in the end. Plus the karma is still very useful.

I miss that kind of stuff. It was so much fun. Now those spots are all graveyards. On some select servers you can find the ocasional temple run if you’re lucky. If not for guesting or I wouldn’t have even gotten to enjoy those.

1. Maps are empty – After players have done their 100% completion, there’s virtually no reason to come back. It’s not like, “I just logged in, I feel like doing a dynamic event in Caledon forest” or “I should hop on my alt and do some hearts at Metrica Province.”

2. Gear Grind – Legendary was probably the worst idea in the game. For some this is their endgame. This is the sole reason why farming is very widespread right now. I wished Anet have added a real endgame in the very beginning.

Since DE were the orginal end-game. it is this very mentality you type here is why the maps are empty. it is the player fault not Anets. Their answer to this was to make “living stories”

Don’t blame Anet for people choosing dungeons over DEs

People chose dungeons because:

1) There’s a better chance at loot

2) there’s better loot like ascended gear.

Human nature is that people are going to chase after the best stuff. There’s lots of places, bosses, and chests for them to distribute loot in. They chose dungeons. Not the players fault.

The game has made some major improvements and has other major improvements in the works. The ones coming soonest are probably the LFG tool, and culling reduction in PvE, but there are other things coming as well.

There’s still a lot Anet needs to work on, but it’s getting there.

The real question is going to be what they choose to do with ascended weapons and armor, gear grind and that sort of thing.

The problem is we have two completely different groups of people on these forums who want the game to move in diametrically opposed directions. So while the game gets better for one group, it gets worse for the other.

Shockingly, I agree with you. My opinion on it is this, I don’t mind legendaries or skin items. I’ll never chase after them, but its good they are there for the hardcore. Where I draw the line is when there is a stat advantage. This includes resistances to agony, etc.

Agony resist is a useless resistance outside of FoTM. That hopefully doesn’t factor in your “draw the line” decision, if you don’t do FoTM over level 9, you don’t need AR. Heck you really don’t need AR for levels 10-19, but certainly helps. Getting +5 AR will be adequate for those levels, and you can just infuse your laurel ascendeds for that.

I just used agony resist as an example. I don’t want to see ascended gear with extra slots, or better stats. Still, I’d rather them just do away with agony, before it pops up somewhere else.

New dungeons, New jumping puzzles, WVW map updates, UI improvements, Landscape change with some RP story.

Heh, we had all of that, but it got deleted.!

I understand things like Halloween should not be kept as they are festivals but things like the molten content and the super adventure box should have been. It gives people more variety with what they are doing in the game. The super adventure box is one of the things they could have kept updating bit by bit. There are so many possibilities that could keep the player base busy and invested rather than board with collecting “x” and killing “y”.

As for the Super adventure box. If they wanted to keep it as a dungeon, then fine. Enough with the temporary content though. There’s too much of it too often. It’s not a treat anymore when its nonstop.

Temporary contet is pretty good idea, but with the temporary stuff ArenaNet has to add some permanent stuff, so ppl can fill their time after they finish temporary stuff.

I don’t know. There’s just too much temporay content fluff if you ask me. They do it too often and for too long a period of time. This last event was enjoyable with the chests and free dragon skins.

I think this should be limited the same way it was in GW1 to repeating holiday events. It loses it specialness when its random flavor of the month.

Movement is an issue with this game. It’s like Anet specificly tries to hinder movement through a number of avenues.

1) Normal movement is painfully slow.
2) Distances are overly large.
3) The CC on enemies you mentioned.
4) Waypoints are often blocked
5) Waypoint use is penalized with high cost.

Orr is just a mess. Too many risen with too much CC. Plus most of the areas on the map are devoid of players.

Gear grind has to go. The highest stat tier should be exotic. Everything else (like ascended) should be for skins only.

I disagree with this. The only real grind I see is for skins. Exotics are very easy to get if you simply play the game and apply yourself. Ascended gear is a negligible stat increase and is mostly optional IMO. Player skill should easily compensate for the minor difference. This means that ascended gear is for those who want a longer term goal to strive for that also has more substance than a skin.

Thus ascended gear simply takes more time to get. Ascended rings come aplenty from Fractal 10 and 20 daily. Amulets from easy-peasy daily quests. Accessories from quick little guild mission weeklies. As you can see that’s all time-based. I guess you could see it as a grind, but I guess what I’m getting at is it’s optional for 99% of the game, and doesn’t really take all that much time compared to a lot of other games.

I will agree that it would be nice to have more varied ways to get ascended items. You can get them all from dailies, but it’s obviously far easier and more efficient to do Fractals for rings, than to use laurels. I would like to be able to have a small chance of rings from events like Priest of Balthazar, or perhaps from harder versions of dungeons.

We disagree. I think any stat increase is unaceptable. I totally get it if you want to chase after skins and animated items. I think stats should be off the table. You mentioned It’s too much of a time sink (agreed).

As for gear in general: I just think there’s too much junk to chase after. I’m never going to craft a legendary or chasing ascended gear. I take my hat off to you if you do. Its not for me. My stats should not suffer one iota beacuse of that. Nor should I be weak against agony, etc.

That being said I have really enjoyed the personal story on all my characters so far. IMO opinion it is a feature that sets GW2 appart from other games. How do you think the personal story can be improved?

Anet has lots of room to grow with GW2 I agree, but your complaints do not seem to have much foundation, and no where do I see any suggestions..

On personal story: I’m glad you liked it. You’re the first person I’ve come across that loves it. I thought it was bland and repetitive. This is especially true when Trahearne permanently enters the picture. At that point every story is more or less the same.

How can it be fixed: I think it would be a large undertaking that will never get done. They’d have to scrap a lot of the current story, Get rid of a lot of boring risen, and remove Trahearne for starters. I don’t like that the last event is not soloable either.

On the loot: Forget the drop rate for a moment. My point on the rare’s is most of them are junk. There’s too much junk in this game. As opposed to quality rares that I’d want to seek after.

I think GW2 devs ran with the “More is More” philosophy when making this game. Sometimes that is true. However, sometimes less is more. Perhaps they could ties specific loot to specific bosses/ champions./ events too. Get rid of the junk and make loot more enticing to seek after.

Regarding the “More is more philosophy” It’s the same thing with the maps in general. They are too big and remain mostly empty. Yes, there are some hot spots. It’s not that content is bad per se. Its that there is too much of it and little reason to be at most of it.

Perhaps they could take a page from the GW1 playbook. they gave us a reason to be in specific areas (Zaishen rewards.)? I like to explore, I just don’t like to be alone. There’s a ton of great areas that are just empty. Having an event a month to pull people away from the maps is not helping either.

Regarding legendaries: I’m not hardcore enough to chase after them. If you are, God bless you. I don’t have enough time and I am not a masochist. Perhaps they could offer them in alternate ways? Ex-for a large amount of Karma from a vendor or from extremely rare drops.

I like to feel like I am working towards something while I am having fun. I enjoy dailies for that reason. You said what I wrote was baseless. I think I was rather kind with my criticism, I also gave them credit where it was due. I didn’t even bring up bugs. There are way too many for a game this old. I held my tonge on botting, and a poorly implemented MF system too.

Chests chests should have a shot at droping something really special. Its the same junk as in PVE. It just takes longer to get.

The Shadow Behemoth gave me Final Rest and Dusk – on different occasions, of course. Most recently I got another exotic necro-themed staff that was worth over 5 gold (Death Wish? something like that), but I forget which event it was… I think Jungle Wurm.

That’s pretty special.

The game is better than it was but still needs work IMO. I’ll not some of the things that are improved and what needs improvement.

What was improved:

Jugs of Liquid Karma. This helped a lot with the Karma grind. It was really bad before.

drops/Karma/exp to level This was a huge improvement. It didn’t make sense to play in lower level areas before. It makes way more sense now.

Events scale better (However, not much comfort when you find yourself alone in a zone)

No Monks Awesome concept from day one. I love it.

What needs improvement:

The Camera It is still atrocious. Enough said.

Maps are still largely empty There’s a ton of content that I want to do but can’t alone.

Gear grind has to go. The highest stat tier should be exotic. Everything else (like ascended) should be for skins only.

Personal story Its some fun in the begining, but just awful after the story lines converge. It gets repetitive too. Plus who doesn’t want to kill off Traherne?

Crafting is boring, convoluted, and uninspiring.

The RNG pretty harsh to say the least. At other times outrightly annoying.

Loot Most of its just garbage. The best I’ve ever gotten to drop was a rare. rares are nothing spectacular either.

Chests chests should have a shot at droping something really special. Its the same junk as in PVE. It just takes longer to get.

That’s about it.

I have an 80 thief and ranger, and I am baffled as to how people think they aren’t very good.

Obviously both are starter classes in terms of how easy they are to play. So that might affect the results somewhat, since the people playing those classes are probably not the most skilled players to begin with and might find content difficult.

I actually 3 man dungeons with 2 other guildies, and in those situations I’m pretty much forced to use my ranger since it outperforms my guard/engi.

I was baffled by the ranger results too. I just got my Ranger to level 80 about a week ago. It is by far my favorite in PVE. (I’ve had one of each profession.) I actually did Ranger last because I thought I would enjoy it the least.

I’ve found that the ranger is very versatile. Plus with the right pet, build and gear ranger is quite stout. I don’t do dungeon/ PVP s I won’t comment on that.

Was Ranger buffed or changed a lot recently? I’ve been seeing a disproportionate number of Rangers on my server. Feels like everyone is playing one. This makes the results on rangers even more confusing.

I pretty much don’t agree with 90% of the post, but I do agree that champion mobs should be more rewarding. I don’t even know the point of doing them or veteran mobs anymore, besides if the daily requires it. Their rewards compared to regular mobs are indistinguishable.

This is so true about champions. In the time it takes to kill a Champion i could get a comperable drop by killing a lot of mobs. (BTW The best I’ve ever gotten was a gold drop) I’ve heard exotics can drop but the chance must be infinitesimal.

True, The once a day chest reward will at east guarantee you a gold drop. Lets be honest though, the gold drops are mediocre at best. They aren’t worth much either.

I read your entire post. I agree with what you said. except you are not casual. However, that only makes your points more viable.

I consider and hour a day 3-5 times a week casual. If you think you had it bad, those type of players can do little more than their dalies.

If you are not prepared to play 8-12 hours a day then you won’t really feel like your getting anywhere. I chose life over GW2.

My frustration comes from the fact that I cant make any profit from playing the game the way I want, which is going around the map, killing some stuffs but mostly just going around doing events that pop up or doing JPs. I feel lik I have to be on constant grind in order to do anything, I swear in the last 2 weeks I have made around 3 gold at most…..

I fully understand. I like to play the same way. It’s not fun or productive. I do make sure that I do my dailies so that when i want to I can give my alts exotic armor. Running the map is too costly and time consuming.

Leveling alts is a chore that i just don’t feel like doing, Nor do i have the time. Personal story stinks. (repetitive after a point.) Drops are lackluster. I remember in GW1 upgrading weapons, getting greens and golds to drop was fun. Here its all confusing and convoluted.

Perhaps its time to throw in the towel for you? I don’t say that to seem flippant. I jus understand how you feel. Feeling like your not making headway is a fun killer.

have to agree with OP. There’s only a couple of elite skils that are viable. The hounds of balthazaar is one of them. When I am in troble on HP and need to spike to survive and survive a long battle = it helps a lot.

By and large, most of the skills are not worth the trouble. Plus I’ve found the useful ones have long CD’s.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

SHM.7628

The lack of trinity in this game is not the provblem It’s arguably one of its few strongest points.

There’s a host of other problems that detract from the game. You are more or less locked into a build by traits and your two weapons. Same is true of armor. The whole thing is very limiting

Secondly, The game herds you into a zerg style of play that rewards you for tagging large groups enemies. Almost everything else falls to the wayside. Support roles are not effective and they actually punish the player. You will lose drops, and XP. You realize very quickly that it pays to do mild damage to a lot of mobs than to synergize with you team mates.

Last but not least. They have all these great specs and traits that go basically unused. Why? Because one, resetting is a pain and costly. Two, you are going to be solo a lot in this game, so damage/defense has to be priority. (at the cost of everything else)

I have 11 alts, I bought one. Enjoying the volcanic animation as I play ^^ I don’t need my other 10 alts farming ore. Cheap $10 purchase, can’t wait to see more cool animated items ideas from anet.

Fan boy, nothing wrong with us wanting either a little cheaper or account bound. I have spent roughly $200 on this game so don’t call me cheap. But I want to feel I’m getting my money worth. Worst exchange rate ever in gems to gold and this is over priced as well. Everything else so far in the Gem shop is reasonable.

/shrug 10 bucks is 10 bucks to me. And Idk about the fanboy comment. I spent around 800 dollars over the last 2 months on the game because it was fun, and I could. I support games that I enjoy. If I’m a fanboy for that, then ok. Again, it is 10 bucks, people at mcdonalds minimum wage in cali make that in an hour. As for gold – gems, takes me a day to make 20g. So kinda lost on the problem here. But to each their own I guess.

You are also missing the gold sink economical issue account bound versions would cause over time. But whatevs.. I have one, mining ori and mithril with lava feels pretty epic with my fused bow, 2 daggers, and greatsword.

As I stated I have spent roughly $200 so its not that I’m unwilling when I can but even as someone who tries to spend money on the game I can’t afford a pick axe for each character and your rich kitten is nuts to suggest everyone should. I will say again that success they have had or not they could have even more success if it were cheaper.

Lol I’m not rich… And I don’t think everyone should pay money in game if they can’t afford to do so. But 10 bucks is not a big deal. I could see a complaint if some mechanic of the game cost 50 bucks and you couldn’t play without it. But for this I just don’t see all the anger making sense.

Also I don’t see the point of 8 unlimited pickaxe wielding characters.. You only need 1 to run around and truly spam gather everything. The rest of my alts do just fine when they come acrossed a node. I generally play 4 of my characters a day. But I know to switch to my one with unlimited pick when I want to farm ore.

It’s just not worth it as is. The same can be said about all the gemstore items. Make it worthwhile and people will pay.

People are paying though, a lot. Check the gem price to gold, you can see tons of players tossing large sums of money at the gem store. So clearly there is a large amount of players who enjoy whats there enough to buy. If Anet released $ numbers it would probably shock people.

The gem prices may have gone up because people flooded the gem store with gold. That happens at events a lot. Like you said, impossible to know withoutthe data though

It depends on what you do all day. If you only run dungeons and farm world boss chests all day, go without magic find. If you actually roam around the world, go magic find with offensive stats assuming you have enough survivability. If you don’t have enough survivability, then it is probably best to go without magic find.

With magic find at roughly 305 I am finding about 1 or 2 gold drops a day, (when i do zergs with a high body count.) as opposed to seeing virtually none without it.

I am really not sure how MF works for sure. I am not sure when it caps, or how DR affects it. It’s like a lot of things in this game. = needlessly shrouded in mystery.

I’ve never gotten an exotic drop. the best drops I got were not worth close 50 silver on the TP. Over time it adds up, but the drops are underwhelming anyway.

The rest of my alts do just fine when they come acrossed a node. I generally play 4 of my characters a day. But I know to switch to my one with unlimited pick when I want to farm ore.

It’s just not worth it as is. The same can be said about all the gemstore items. Make it worthwhile and people will pay.

make an account bound pick, sickle, and an axe set. Forget gems, I’d pay $30 real cash for the set. Its a win- win. They get the cash, I get the convienience. AND that is coming from someone who never paid for gem items.

I’d have to say not fun. It’s really a shame because all the elements are there for it to be epic. They just don’t seem to be able to find the right balance. The experience winds up being monotonous and boring.

I will say this, I’ve never seen a game with more potential. (which makes it being lackluster all the more frustrating.)

Exactly! The armor used to be account bound, then they changed it. Answer this: Why would they allow me to buy armor that I could never equip? Say I am a Warrior, why would that armor vendor even show me light or medium armor?

You can buy a piano if you don’t know how to play.

How is that relevent? At least I can take piano lessons if I buy the piano. This specialized karma armor can never be used. (and I remind you, at one time it could)

Can’t really think of a way in which this could be griefable, unless the player in question is AFK, at which point, don’t go AFK in the middle of an area.

It can be. I’ve been in a fight with mobs and someone ran more right to me. I couldn’t tell you for sure if it was intentional or not, but I can see it being problematic.

+1 to OP. I also don’t see why a monster should aggro to you once its out of its camped position (provided that you don’t hit it.)

In-game, when you don’t know what something means, use the wiki command to learn more before making a mistake. Try this:

“/wiki Unique”

I’d chock this error up to the same error as someone who spends 42k karma on one toon for an item and tries to transfer it to another toon, not realizing that the item is Soulbound on Acquire. It sucks, but this sort of issue is user error, and there should be a refund window, but I’d mark that as a low priority compared to other issues ANet needs to resolve.

Its things like this that ensure I will never make a cash shop puchase with RL currency. They are too all over the map with how they implement things.

You spend your money and they switch up the rules of the game. You think your gear is the best then ascended comes out. Then with no warning you can only equip one unique?

The same with paing for server changes. You pay your real money to switch and then they just randomly move you? They switched my server, I don’t remember giving permission.

These are just a couple of example. I’ve heard that others spent a ton of money on magic find then they switched that up on them, etc, etc.. This game doesn’t work pay to play. They are just too inconsistant.

New gem store item: loadouts

While I like the idea, why attach a gold/gem cost to it to implement or reset?

A secondary armor switchout (same as for weapon) plus add adjustable traits = problem solved. It would be easier to implement too.

As far as the gem price to activate this feature, I just felt that something like this was more likely to be implemented as a paid extra than a default feature. Besides it is hardly necessary, being ultimately nothing more than a convenience to those players that want it. And Arena Net did say that their gem store was designed around selling cosmetic and convenience items/features. They need to make money, and as far as micro-transactions go this is one more likely to be praised by the community than hated.

Now, as to the coin cost per-use, that is really just me playing it safe. You see the current trait respec system is an intended gold sink, and while the exact reason for it is up for debate, clearly Arena Net wanted it to cost a bit of coin each time you change your build, and likewise didn’t want you do be able to do it just anywhere. (I actually saw a suggested system allowing players to change builds while in combat. That will certainly never happen.) It is true that changing that system, especially for someone who paid real money to avoid it, may not have any negative impact on the game or its economy. But it is also true that it might have some disastrous effect somewhere down the line. And while players like us don’t need to think about such possibilities, I guarantee that Arena Net does.

So I felt it was better to have this still bound to the same restrictions as the current system. After all you would still have to run to a waypoint and pay a little pocket change. The only thing cut out is the wasted time of having to load a new area, run to a trainer, flip through menus and manually reset traits and skills, run back, and load back into the first zone. It is just a time saver really, and that is the essence of convenience.

While additional template pages are a convenience feature, the ability to swap builds between 2 or more templates is a power feature. It offers a lot of utility, even when limited to out-of-combat usage, as it makes forming dungeon groups more effective, allows builds with excellent disengage abilities to break off from a foe, change their build, and re-engage, and more. There’s no reason for the bare minimum of the feature to be monetized, but there is nothing wrong with selling extra pages.

Use League of Legends rune pages as an example.

Well, a second free template that let you change gear, traits for free is a compromise I could live with. Additional pages for a small gem fee would be fine as well.

Plus, I also support having a seondary armor set that is togglable like your secondary weapon. This whole thing is a no brainer.

There’s times I want my critical higher, or my damage, or magic find, etc. Switching my gear can supplement my build. I can go tanky or glas cannon, etc.

This game is not good for versatility as is. Unless they change it, I wind up having to have separate charactrs for separate tasks.

I cast my vote to remove initiative simply because it does break the class in PvE.

They’ll never do it. The thief would be near invincible in PVP. I don’t pvp either.

I use my thier in PVE with dual pistols. Trickery trait maxed will give you incredible condition damage.

For AOE: Set a couple of traps and pull a mob in and they lose half their hp. On a single target you can pull it in to traps and finish off target with high damage.

A major sigil of fire or a supior sigil of fire will cause an AOE fire blast 20% or 30% respectively when you critical: so get your critical as high as you can. Hitting multiple targets also refills some of your initiative.

(BTW I did this set up because myt guardian with a staff and warrior with a hammer were were able to hit about 10 with a single shot. Single damage for loot and XP stinks!)

Its can be frustrating to run out of attacks in PVE in protracted fights. It is what it is. It’s just how the class plays. Anyway with this set up I can take out a small mob by self with tanky armor and some strafing.

Hope that helps a little bit

PS- I fi could use my thief skills nonstop in PVE. the thief might become the funnest character in GW2. Imagine hitting a boss no stop with unload, hea shot, etc. what a thought!

While I personally would prefer to have some sort of crafting recipe to make it feel like you are putting together fragments of a weapon into the actual fractal weapon (and give a use for the million shards I have),I would also be perfectly content with this solution as well. It would give a use for the collection I have in my bank.

Not a bad idea.

Ever had this happen, someone falls down next to a corpse you have not looted.
Your inventory is full, you press F it keeps popping up to loot.
You press esc to close the loot window and press F again only to have it offer you loot from another corpse.

Annoying?

Very.

Can we please have it this way
1) Rally Ally
2) Other function
3) Loot

FYI: WVWVW loot bags appear at your feet, away from any corpses, picking up those loot is easy, when you’re in the middle of a big fight and an ally falls in a pile of corpses, really your top priority is looting stuff and not keeping your numbers up?

Like I said, the whole ground system is messed up. I actually have the opposite problem you do. I’m trying to get the loot quickly and bypass ressing an NPC. There’s a ton of loot onm the floor and I have to get what I can quickly in the throws of battle. Its already difficult enough.

I get what your saying though. In the heat of battle when there isn’t much time to screw around, you are being sidetracked by the mess on the floor.

A priority system coupled with a full auto loot option would solve this nicely. what do you think?

I fully agree with the thief getting a big nerf. So what if they’ve used up their initiative? They can just cloak and wait for it to regen, just to do kittenedly high damage once again.

I assume your complaint is because of PVP. There’s PVE to consider too. I get maybe 3 strong attacks with my thief before initiative is used up. Assuming thy hit, they do decent damage. After that the damage is a joke. (BTW They already stealth nerfed the thief)

Long battles in PVE are already annoying. You need to make every attack count. while other classes just mop the floors with mobs. If they get nerfed further there would be no reason to play then at all.

Guardian staff needs some love.

I love the staff attacks guardian has for PVE. Skill number one doesn’t hit far but it hits wide. Its the best skill on the bar. It hits like AOE. It’s very useful in PVE. Strafe a little while using it. Your heartiness helps keep you alive while your damage and condition damage kill them.

The staff is not for every occasion. It’s better when you are with people. Not only do you heal those in range, but you always get a piece of the XP and loot.

I switch to a great sword when I want to do higher damage to a single foe..
