Ferrous Cinderface: Did you check Dulfy?
Pray For Kosmos: No
Ferrous Cinderface has left the party.
Pray For Kosmos beats the instance his first time without being downed.
GG.
Huh, just like in WoW you MUST have:
Certain mods to tell you what a boss is going to do, where to position, etc.
Check on youtube for boss strategies
and (if some of the older players remember this) play a flash minigame BASED on a boss encounter, cause you had to learn the mechanics best that way, as doing it in game wiped the group.
Man, if this continues, every game will have bad players unless they watch people play on youtube or read guides or something!
I guess they have been working on stuff, they did saying during the livestream that the backend for the spvp was completely rewritten. Maybe, just maybe, other stuff is being rewritten as well, but since those things would impact the whole game, they take longer.
I don’t know, speculating at this point (as i agree there needs to be some shakeup soon), and some systems need reworked (coughconditionscough)
Literally the most meaningless thing I’ve ever seen… watch all the white knights rave about this lol
Yup, while WoW players are too busy playing its new expansion I guess everyone will be voting GW2 for this to win ‘best MMO of 2k14’ on some random site as if that meant anything, it’s all vote padding by fanboys while everyone else doesn’t even know this exists.
Perfect example of how dumb this site is, go to the ‘best pvp in an MMO 2k14’ and GW2 is winning against LoL. Wait, what? First of all League of Legends isn’t an MMO LOOOOL and 2nd of all … GW2 pvp better? lmfaoooooooooooooooo MY RIBS
I won’t bother voting for anything cuz news flash…. this crap doesn’t matter or mean anything at all no matter who wins it, thanks for the laughs though!
Almost everyone here is already discrediting this vote as meaningless and having no impact, be it white knights or haters.
The problem is, there will be those select “special” few who will use this poll and its results to fuel their agendas, regardless of the integrity (gw2 wins “See? still the best!”, gw2 loses “see! it sucks/dying/dead/etc!”)
ANet has mentioned that, if/when they do bring this armor set back, it will almost certainly be through a PvP reward track (which is fair enough, in my opinion).
we have been trying to find this quote or mention
At about the time of the change, one of the PvP-centric Devs said that the Tribal Armor would possibly be added to a reward track.
That was some time ago, though, and he hasn’t mentioned anything about it since.
I believe the phrase used was something along the lines of “we may add it back into the game in the future”.
I know I have been one of the posters on these forums suggesting a new PvP reward track with the old PvP skins.
yeah, i dont visit the spvp forums a lot, even while I was trying to work towards this armor, but when I learned I couldnt get the armor anymore, I threw my support too
Well, I started back on page 300 to find this Dev post, read up through page 250, had to keep a dew by my side.
I’m starting to think we imagined the post, or it was a poi bid it was said on, but I’ll continue on at a later time.
I did learn that so far, the last SOTG was actually on a gw2guru vid in may with Colin as a guest when grouch hosted it over there. And here I thought the last was back in last Dec or something…

Going through some history, I can’t find the specific red post, but apparently there was one of the idea as a reward track, and apparently Grouch also mentioned it as a reward track possibly during a livestream. I guess I’ll have to look back for a couple hours for awhile…

i vaguely remember, i thought it was people suggesting?
new theory:
what if the egg is needed to free rytlock somehow?
I love how Gaile ignores this thread after stating we have to open a new thread for this question. <3
I don’t think (or hope) that’s the case. I’m glad she is checking in on the weekend, and she may not be able to get into contact with people who could provide info on the matter at the moment.
I do believe she’s noticed, I have a good amount of patience to wait, but I hope we aren’t backburnered too long XD
The books in the Durmand Priory told us she was corrupted… and yet for some reason we invite her on a top secret mission, let her grab the egg, and just stand there while she runs away with it…
I just… what…
No. Faolain tried to corrupt her in Edge of Destiny with some kind of poison, but was tricked into removing it. Ever since then, she’d shown no signs of being corrupted (aside from her utterly ruthless nature when it came to the Court, but for good reason) And the bad future showed her choosing Nightmare, but that’s been prevented.
While she still could be corrupted, she really shouldn’t be as susceptible to it as she was during the time before killing Zhaitan.
Still, with the Pale Tree down and possibly dying, perhaps Mordremoth is strong enough to corrupt even her at this point…still, aside from the shifty acting, she wasn’t talking to herself or being crazy like Ceara or Aerin were…either Mordremoth’s getting more subtle, or Caithe is “better” at hiding it.
If it can corrupt the first born now, what’s to stop more from getting to trahearne?
….
I think we may get to kill trahearne soon if this is true!
It’s either that or the egg dropped, everyone agreed to roll Greed on it, but Caithe was like, ‘Nope! Need!’

I’m trying to remember what people used to do when they got stuck in a game before the internet allowed them to scream in anger and look up answers.
We had to go out into the sunlight and actually talk to one another face to face mostly, other times, if people were on, we used AIM (once the internet became a thing), to talk.
But most of the time, it was self learning by putting your face to the asphualt and running along (battletoads 2 player anyone?).
It was dark times….
All I know is, I’m unofficially naming the baby dragon ‘McGuffin’
Tips and tricks:
1. Stealth works to avoid being downed, if you have it, use it in here
2. Equip any and all speed boosts or leaps/lunges. Warrior with sword/warhorn and gs works.
4. Learn to dodge and equip faster endurance reg if able.
5. Get traits to reduce fall DMG, as there are some high cliffs you can jump from to survive.
6. Start to memorize some paths and enlarge your minimap for better map awareness
7. There are three paths to get to the center, straight, from the back, and from the right side leading to the back (right side coming into the maze).
8. When in the spore form, stun, always stun when near the wolves. Even if no one is around, stun. Slowing them at any point helps.
9. If you want to cheat a bit, use the devourer bot from the charr. Free stealth, free tele, and speed boost, and can take ONE additional hit. Downside, can’t jump, and if you go over a spore, you transform into it.
10. There are ledges you can jump up on to avoid the wolves, look for them
11. If you have access to invuln, use it (warriors endure pain, guardians elite)

Well they told us to collect as many skins as possible in our pvp locker before the update, because many skins would become much harder to or even impossible to get.
looking through the announcements, i see nothing of that. I see them saying to spend your glory, but no removal of skins.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/player-vs-player-rewards-roadmap/
Maybe you should have watched their live streams etc. Anet doesnt put all information they release in their blogs. I dont want to imagine what would have happened anyway to the economy if they made a big blog out of it. It was rather easy to craft and/or find some of the very expensive skins like for example Infinite Light or the two dwayna bows in PvP.
Starting with ready up episode 5, where they talk about the glory change, there is nothing mentioned about the removal of armors during, or episodes after that.
More than just the Tribal set is missing, I believe there are 2 other armor sets that are no longer obtainable (I don’t remember the names off the top of my head though), and several weapons such as the Dark Moon Shield.
I think someone posted a list somewhere
Yeah, and you are only proving their point that they want to keep everything underwraps until they believe “its ready”. Hence the secrecy. Bringing this up isn’t helping at all.
People make mistakes. Developers are people. Stuff happens.
also, selective reading is selective:
From the upcoming release of our brand spanking new Looking for Group (LFG) tool, to investigating ways to limit culling in PvE, to the two-week content schedule our Living World teams have in store, the second half of 2013 has countless more exciting new things in store for our players than I can possibly cover here. As always, the content above is subject to change as we test and iterate on these systems.

It wasnt without notification. There was plenty of warning (several months) that PvP rewards will be reworked.
Meanwhile I will enjoy my set of tribal armor.
reworked =/= removed

This is very, very helpful. Thank you so much for this info. I’ll see if I can find out anything about this. (But please know next week has other things on the charts, and there’s a four-day holiday coming up so it may take a bit of time.) Thank you again for these details.
OK, I do have one question. Just one I want to ask while your attention is here!
Can you ask about (doesn’t have to be today) on any word on tribal armor making a comeback to spvp? Just a simple “working on it” or “no”.
It taunts me every day when I look in my wardrobe and hate RNG more :’(
I can’t take a request from this thread. Would you please post a separate thread, or better still, post in an existing thread on this subject, so I have detailed context?
Thanks for understanding.
Done. The other threads I believe were just too old by now, and I didn’t want to be accused of necroing.
Sorry again.
Tribal armor (labeled as masquerade for pve, but was a different armot altogether in pvp) disappeared from being acquired when the wardrobe patch hit. There was no hint it was being removed, or notification at all this armor would disappear. If it was mentioned it was going to be removed, like the fuse weapons etc, I can understand, but there was nothing.
Is there any chance this armor can make a comback, be it rewards path, or mystic forge again? Even for a short time, it was just unfair to remove without notification.
Edit: thanks to asuaka for the link to the full list:

Tbh gaile, I think more people were agitated by the silence after the announcement of the scavenger hunt rather than it back burnered. There was also the loot bug going on, in which case it was responded to once by a French community manager before left alone for another long period of time.
So, while some of us were angry at no scavenger, I think the lack of communication at that point of time was what was really fueling the anger. Granted, as said earlier, no matter what anet says or does, someone will be unhappy, but I have some belief(I hope I don’t regret saying that) the community wouldn’t have reacted as it did or does if a post was made explaining why it was on hold (it was stated that things can change in the blog, this was a perfect example to say ‘sorry, things changed’).
A prime example of done right was the CDI update, with someone asking, “where is the gvg cdi?”, and the response ’we are working on a new home for it". Great! People now know and can use that for ref. And if something like 2 months go by, and no word on it till someone asks, give an update! “Ran into some issues, still working”. Note, not like every week, I know that would be impossible.
Finally, the issue I have with the current policy can be exampled by the commander tag fiasco. If it had been known earlier in the week about the decision to charge for each color, then perhaps the two guys that worked the weekend wouldn’t of have to have come in. I guess what I am saying is, letting us know when its already ready, seems bad if the community sees a problem or doesn’t like one aspect, and then the devs need to scramble to fix.
Hm, maybe something more than just a week’s headsup on a new feature, rather than " here’s a new feature, comes out next week!"
But I do want to say thank you for communicating more now, and staying in touch.
Hm, what if a vendor was added with the skins, each costing the same amount of tickets, and you can sell unwanted skins to them for one ticket.
Example: the skins cost 5 tickets. You can get lucky and get the one you want, but if you don’t, trade in 5 unwanted for it.
There’s 8 episodes. The last pieces of Carapace armor are unlocked on episode 8 (says so in the descriptions).
Or rather episode 8 is the last portion of this LS.
I can’t look ATM, and I never noticed the releases dated, but when you say pieces, you mean more than one slot or same slot, different ac?
But how many episodes to go? Assuming the next patch will be Dec 2, then the 16th? But I also assume the 16th will be wintersday patch. After that, two holidays and into Dec, almost another month of break probably.
Maybe I’m thinking this wrong, but if true, then when will this whole “change tyria forever” moment occur, if not at the end of this year?
This has been happening for awhile now. I’m playing gw2, everything is fine. Sometimes it happens just by standing in LA, other times while out in the field (from silver wastes to starting zones). But my game just randomly freezes. Not crash, just freeze with the sound still playing.
I’ve tried the repair, just in case, and still nothing.

WoW pioneered nothing. The success of WoW began with it being largely playable on a rock. That is, you could have nearly the first model IBM computer and it would still play WoW. The graphical demand for the game at the time far exceeded the demands made from the major games before it: Everquest and Dark Age of Camelot. Those games focused on realistic models (for their time). WoW focused on cartoons and a curving mesh and graphical rendering which drastically reduced processing power and thus made it a playable game for a huge number of people. It was hard for its time and Vanilla WoW is still hard for many players that have tried it.
Arguments that WoW pioneered anything is ridiculous. It’s still using all the same mechanics the major games before it used, but at less quality. WoW was popular initially purely because it would play on anything. That was its innovation.
This is true. I even think the founders said how they use to be an EQ guild and thought “we can make a game like this, but better!” And by better, just copy paste everything.
Hi All,
We are building a new home for the CDI and once it is complete we will finish of the Raiding CDI and move on the GvG CDI.
Chris
That’s it! Home instances confirmed!
Colin, I’m going to be a jerk about this (but I mean no ill will), and perhaps its just the English language, but it sounds like you are leaving an opening.
Saying “currently running” sounds like “not the exact system as china will come over from china, but we may implement a different one”
As we’ve said before: The royal system will not be coming to NA/EU, period.
There ya kitten
Xd tyty. And sorry
edit: and huh, i quote, and it changed the end to kitten….
(edited by Serophous.9085)
I get confused at times from this reasoning.
“WoW did this, so other companies should copy it too!” Then wouldn’t they just be making WoW? And shouldn’t you just play WoW then?
The funny thing is, nothing in their new expansion is new or original. Garrisons? If you spend all your time in them, wasting time building and upgrading, then why aren’t you just playing Clash of Clans? Oh hey! Look! You can go out, find notable hero’s who will work for you and fight for you! I wonder if that sounds familiar….coughgw1cough.
When you take a step back, you see all the WoW Dev team seem to do is take a system or something from another MMO that may have tried to copy them and change something, before literally just using the idea for themselves. This became evident to me when they announced the new pvp power and defense stats, something I knew that came from a briefly popular MMO at that time, SWTOR.
And before someone counters with “well, what about dungeons and classes, etc?” All MMOs can trace their history back to Dungeons and Dragons, a book, paper, and dice game.
So, is trying completely new and different ideas hard? Yes. But that doesn’t mean you still shouldn’t try. Its what I give Anet credit for that they stuck to no trinity, and for making the event system.
As we’ve said before, the royal club system currently running in China will not be coming to the NA/EU version of the game.

It wasn’t done so subtley, hence it being predictable. That was sad.
edit: nevermind, theory debunked mostly because I forgot Caith did say there was no time to explain, so she still had her sanity.
But the episode should’ve ended after visiting the Pale tree, but assuming that it was cut off before that, then chances are the egg will be used to revive the tree probably.
(edited by Serophous.9085)
yeah….this was kinda short…story was interesting….but I was just like….no more?
They did it in a really bad attempt to cater to some suggestions in one of those CDI threads were players mentioned that it’d be cool to gain new skills by “capturing” them from a boss in the world, similar to how elite skills were done in GW1.
For some reason, they thought it’d be a good idea to just do this to existing traits instead, while using it as a way for another goldsink (because hey why not) for players who don’t wish to go exploring and killing whatever it is a trait needs doing to be unlocked.
quote for truth
Technically, there was (maybe still is?) A way to kill the kids in gw2, which is actually coming up in wintersday. But if you don’t want to wait, get a warrior, take the trait that says apply confusion on interrupt, go to the norm starting area with the kids throwing snowballs, and interrupt them by throwing back. They attack, confusion dmg, dead.
Just not sure if they patched this or not.
@Serophous: Actually, in GW1, the trials of Ascension were completed BEFORE Dragon’s Lair – you need to be Ascended before Glint’s Forgotten guardians would even let you make the attempt on the trials of the lair itself. Ogden’s hourglass presumably bypasses all that.
Furthermore, being Chosen and Ascended are fundamentally human concepts, being related to the gods – they don’t translate directly into other cultures, and it wouldn’t really be appropriate to have a Chosen charr, let alone an Ascended one. For ArenaNet to revisit the concept of being Chosen or Ascended for humans is one that I’d appreciate, but I think it’s most appropriate for that to remain a human-only thing. That said, I do suspect that human PCs and important NPCs like Jennah, Anise, Logan, Marjory and Kasmeer are all Chosen – it wouldn’t surprise me if being Chosen is part of what allows certain human warriors to take on norn tournament champions and win and human magic-users to pull out deus ex machina-level magic unaided (asura need gadgets for their deus ex machinae…).
If the concept does get revisited, I suspect it will be in the context of having human NPCs become Ascended. If a human PC happens to be along for the ride, they’ll get Ascended too (giving human PCs some special background that other races don’t have, but I can see this working out as being treated similarly to sylvari Wyld Hunts), but it will be sufficient for the plot for a handful of human NPCs to be Ascended.
Sorry, I wasn’t going for the exact same as gw1. But in really, just the same way to test a certain individual to see if worthy. I used the same term Ascended as well, because atm its all I had to relate to it. It may be called something else like “dragonslayer” or something.
Let’s say the new dragon is basically glint 2.0, and reworks the ascension ordeal to include all races now (also 2.0 :p).
My theory:
First, we are going for a dragon egg. I have this feeling it will hatch during this LS, and though young, it will be sorta wise (magic aging etc, so it won’t be as big as glint, but not small and helpless). And basically, this newborn will take over where glint left off, and judging newly ascended.
Yes, I believe Ascended is making a comeback, but instead of seeing the unseen, it will be given the power to take down an elder dragon (I still have some inkling zhaitan isn’t dead). What proof? Well, let’s take a look at the story.
First, the dwarf apparently knew a lot more than he let on in the beginning, setting up the teleport to glints lair. In other words, someone KNEW we were already ‘chosen’, and had made preparations.
Second, going through glints lair, we were completing the trials, albeit different than before, as instead of dragons, it was shards.
Third, while it can be seen as idle chit chat, majory and Cass talking about the previous Ascended just seemed too coincidental.
What will being ascended do? We may get a new profession, but I’m leaning more towards specialization with the current. I mean, we have two necrosis wielding GS, perhaps that may be known as necro dervish (I know dervish used scythes, its an example!). So in a way, dual professions may be coming back.
I think what people are getting at here is that LS is seeing as filler between what people really want, the balance and feature packs. I mean, these happen what? Twice a year? Adding a whole bunch of changes at once, rather than spread them out alongside the living story would seem like a better idea, such as once every one to three months.
Do you have to give out all the info on the feature? No. But give us more to speculate or offer feedback on.
Let’s look at the blog for Tuesdays patch:
“Log in next Tuesday, November 18, to experience the Tangled Paths release” along with the video that basically shows clips of the LS. The same with the previous patch (although we could tell there was a new zone. But that’s it. Imagine the buzz if somewhere in the Nov 4 trailer it said “defend pact bases and bolster defenses to prepare for the ultimate showdown, claim buried treasures, and defeat mord’s legendary champions”. Sure we saw a pact base under assault in the vid, but anyone could’ve just recgonized it as a normal defense event, not something that led to being bigger event overall. I mean, imagine if it was said like that:
" oh we need to defend the bases for a big event to happen. I wonder what it is? Maybe a dragon or something!" Instead we got: " yay a new zone with fighting….anything else?"
But with features, or new systems, if we can be given a better taste of what’s to come, we can get more excited and either speculate, or provide limited feedback. Though, in all honesty, the “hush hush super secret” policy over features (NOT story! Keep that under lock and key!) Just seems so…pointless…when other GAMES (not just MMOs) give previews, heads up, and yes even ptrs (not saying gw2 needs a ptr), on new features or gameplay, and they do fine.
I just get sad at times checking out gw2guru to see it hasn’t updated with anything significant in over a month at times >.>
From what anet has said before, there are going to be no more tiers after ascended other than legendary. And what we have seen, the benefit if legendary is the qol with swappable stats. That’s it.
No power creep. No bonus DMG. None of that.
If so, then my sense is that you want to know more about the nuts and bolts.
- “Are you looking at XXX new feature?”
- “Do you intend to improve ABC functionality?”
- “Is ### working as intended, or is it bugged, or will you incorporate player feedback to change it?”
Again, this is a small part of the discussion, but I wanted to make sure I was looking at that part accurately. I wondered if generally, no one is asking about the whole “Tell us where the story is going” bit.
Nail right on the quaggans head Gail. This is what people want to know, and how we had this before, but things went silent. I’m talking about the state of the game with mention of precursor crafting, etc. I feel that because of the blow back from when that was announced, to never happening and the silent treatment, irked many players. Instead of going silent, a simple “hey guys, I did say this was all scheduled to change at any time. And ATM our methods aren’t working, so it’s undetermined when this will come out.” I feel that would’ve been better than going silent, as it was mentioned that time frames can change.
But the whole secrecy of features isn’t just from that, look at the commander issue that happened. I think an earlier mention of it before a few days release would’ve been better to change it rather than bring someone in on their day off (no idea why thinking people would want to pay 100g for a color was a good idea).
But thats what we want to hear. Earlier info on upcoming features to get excited about and give feedback too. In all honesty, I think that’s why the CDIs are so popular, because we are discussing cool features already, though not implemented.
Now when I say that, I don’t mean “we are announcing we are working on feature x!” And don’t mention anything after that, like what it does or how it works. Give us some samples or examples. Then keep us updated. “Or first method isn’t working, so we are trying this way now, but may delay implementation.”
But please just remember, don’t go silent if something does work. Admit there are some problems and its bring delayed so people know. Being silent is just allowing “broken promises”.
Edit: crap, I wrote this out and dloni basically said it as I was typing! Darn long phone posts!
(edited by Serophous.9085)
Take this all as opinion. Its just what I believe anet accomplished with silver wastes and what they failed at.
The Good
1. No waypoints – for those who played at the beginning of the games release will remember that in dungeons, dying meant nothing either, not when you could just warp to the wp and basically keep throwing yourself at the boss. This changed with if anyone in your party prevents you from doing that if in combat. Death felt like a very bad thing. Now death is back as a threat as dying means running allll the way back again if no one rezzes (or can’t) you. Again, dying is now a threat.
2. The meta event – IMO, I think this is how they imagined WvW in the beginning and how it would be. But the event makes players communicate and assists, while tempted by greed (chests and legendaries). And every event is more than just a reward of silver and karma, but a chance at items as well.
3. The new minions at events – the three new ones (troll, and the pincer weird looking ones) are great with their new abilties. Trolls force you to kill them before getting swarmed by insects. the other one charges you and anyone else, leaving behind a dead trail, PLUS able to leap on you (hint, if you have stability and stand before it, it can’t push past at times XD). And the other pincer sends roots at you, along with aoe shout.
4. The bosses – talking about meta bosses. Their good because they aren’t straight zerg and dps. They have tactics that need to be known to make them possible to kill. Indigos bosses are the hardest in many eyes, as you need to pop the bubbles at the right moment to stun them.
The Bad
1. The reward for meta completion – when I first got a 4/5, and saw it was just a rare bag. I though “okay…well, 5/5 must be the really good stuff!” 3 rare bags instead. Yeah. All that hard work defending, escorting, and killing 5 bosses in a limited time for just three rares didn’t feel like a good reward. The random gear at times for events, OK. But when you complete something this tasking, three rares isn’t going to cut it.
2. Shovels #2 CD – its way too long if you don’t detect any chests. At least halve it.
3. Position of some seige – at indigo, the arrow cart seems like its in the worse place. Because of the roof, its a pain to aim over the walls, and if you aim for creatures inside (which seige should prevent happening), the mobs aggro you, attack, and easily destroy.
The Ugly
1. Empty zone – once a new map or something comes out, how well will this maps style function? Sure, it works now because its popular and the newest thing, but look at dry top after silverwastes release.
2. Chest Nerf – I debated adding this, but had to. Was it warranted? Yes, it was grossly too good. But some factors of this could be blamed. One on the meta not having good loot. The bags were fun at the same time, I felt like I was finally progressing on t6 mats without champ farming, and doing something that felt fun.
Are people still farming chests? Yes. But different things could’ve been tried first: remove badges from chests, no badges means have to complete more events for keys. Another one (of course) make the meta have better 5/5 reward, and make it holding the four forts longer increases the bar faster (such as holding all four gives more fill every time defended, instead of same amount). Or increase the rewards the longer a fort is held, or more for how many you control at the time.
I want to say I still love silverwastes, and find it fun. The team took the right direction in many cases, and stumbled on others. I hope the team looks back and fix only what’s broken, and not what works.
Reward tracks also give us the ability to put unique rewards into PvP, like we’ve already done.
WTB tribal armor reward track plz
So…wait…
While he participated in the beta, closed beta, etc, etc…what did he do? He didn’t run dungeons already in there to see people dying over and over at first till they learned? He didn’t learn that max level there wasn’t anything else but skins?
I’m just confused about that opening statement.
Now I know why the map is suddenly empty. Found people were doing both; events & chest farming. They would chest farm in between events.
What makes this annoying is trying to get all the achievements with very few players around to help.
As for the loot, it’s not spectacular anyway. Lets face it, loot in this game has been poor for a while now.
I do find it ironic. People hated chest farms cause no one completed the events (not true in the maps I was on, people were still holding on to 3-4 forts. only amber was held in the late hours, as less people were on anyway). Now, I’m logging in, and no forts are held at all, or just one.
When I first completed the Meta event, we got down 4 bosses, got the two rare bags and stuff. I thought “huh, ok, 2 rares for 4, but 5 must give something awesome! Maybe chances for ascended like teq can give, or something!”
Three bags with rare quality loot….for 5 bosses…
Lets face it. The meta can take awhile to achieve, holding forts isnt always easy (no one killing vines for example…), guarding yaks, rebuilding walls…yeah, it can be hard and take awhile to get to the final bosses, which are on a time and each have a unique way to be stopped (indigo is so annoying >.>).
But when i got the loot for it for finally beating all 5, I just thought….wow….this is it? All that hard work for…3 rares I can get anywhere else? Or even buy off the TP for cheap? I didn’t get it.
Sure, you can run world bosses, get at least a chance for an ascended piece of gear, or a unique skin (centaur’s staff, skins from teq, etc) but….this zone, for a complicated meta, just seemed so meh in final rewards. So, who wouldnt want to do the bag farm since it gave out plenty of t6 mats for people trying to complete pieces of gear, or sell and make gold, or for legendaries?
So, if anet can patch the chests, they need to patch the meta reward. Its the only bad thing I can say about this patch. Make it if you complete the meta, you are certain to get an exotic box that has the possibility (very very low) to get a precursor, but it would be an exotic piece of gear. And then you would have a random chance instead of an exotic box, an ascended box instead to get a weapon or piece of armor.
