… The human race would never have to worry about be oppressed again.”
I think trolls should have their computers smashed. ’Its all part of the game. U mad bro?’
I think that’s one way it could work, definitely.
Would certainly add more use to Fractals…
But on the other hand, Fractals always seemed to be more ‘end game’ high level stuff as opposed to a ‘Flash back’ system like this.
As much as I personally would love to see the FotM used for more stuff in game, I think if they are going to make the PS and LS1 instances replayable (which I certainly hope they do) then I think more likely they would use the Story Journal.
If you look at it this way. They are a young race. They appeared for a reason. We also know there is more than just the one community. So if they were meant to be dragon minions. How else are you going to develops that except by showing the back story a little at a time.
The gods especially brought the humans to Tyria. And they are, well, the gods. (Of course, then retcons came and I stopped following what got reduced and retconned).
Asuras, lived underground for who knows how long and no human and charr ever saw them. We barely know anything about them.
They could develop on all races, but instead, they told us “nope, we want broad shallow lore” and now they are forcing us to eat Sylvari with everything.
Luckily for you, they aren’t forcing us to eat anything… nobody is here holding a gun to your head saying ‘PLAY THIS OR DIE!’ which is about as logical as you are sounding with your angry, broken record rhetoric…
Also humans had the spotlight for a very long time already. An entire game and it’s expansions, worth, no less. It was called Guild Wars 1. The char played a predominate role in that as well. And norn and asura at least got to be seen… Hell, the dwarves got more screen time in Guild Wars 1 then the sylvari did… Because you know… the sylvari didn’t exist yet.
There have been numerous threads in these forums explaining how the story in GW2 has not been so god-awful as some people like to scream here over and over again ad nauseam. But I suppose some people just aren’t happy unless they are whining and crying about something…
I guess it’s just easier to jump on the ‘Trahearne stole my thunder’ and ‘the Sylvari are over-represented’ bandwagons and cling to such falsehoods and overblown hyperbole, all the while claiming that the writers are incompetent…
Wow…
I’ve have heard of angry nitpicking, but geez… this thread has got to take the cake…
So the Sylvari run to the Avatar of the Pale Tree…
Big flipping deal!
It gets the job done of visually showing the players that the Pale Tree is hurt after that attack.
“Give up the Prodigy, hero!”
draws sword
“You want her? Come and claim her!”
To quote myself on a similar thread concerning the possibility of the Pale Tree getting killed…
By the Six, I hope not…
We have enough stupid, pointless deaths as it is, for no other reason then to just have people dying.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying characters should /never/ die… It’s war, after all. But Game of Thrones style character killing turned me off completely to those books and even more so to the show.
It was such a great idea to move all crafting stations/bank/TP/trainer/WvW ports/etc into one convenient location.
And then kittening disable the waypoint.
This is why people hate living story…
Assuming they don’t fix it…
And if they don’t…
Oh no… the 25 seconds it takes to run from Bloodcoast Ward Way Point… So harsh. So terrible. Boo hoo…
/facepalm
Wow… The OP brings up a question about player aggressiveness in the game, and look what they get here…
Needless antagonism, deriding and name calling…
Yay for our oh-so-wonderfuly toxic forum community…
Lets see…
As I write this, Gaile Gray posted as recently as 4 minutes ago… and numerous other times over the past hour.
Evan Lesh posted about 2 hours ago. As did John Smith.
You can see them right here… https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/devtracker
While I would personally love to see more open communication and transparency between them and us, I have to agree with what others here have said, I don’t think it would matter much if they did have someone on these forums trying to talk to us. Anything they say here is twisted and used as fuel for the Anti Anet snark and name calling-fest that forums usually end up devolving into…
You know, the sort of thing they talk about here… http://youtu.be/n9A8VJBh_Yc
Definate YES to two handed great axes.
The Executioner Toy Axe is a good ‘prequel’ to the real thing, and I think it gives us a good idea of how a real weapon like that could work in the game.
0_0 rly there are some people who cant win this fight ?! My friend on nomand guard did this instance in circa 11 min . Now I understand why Anet doesn`t want to increase difficulty on pve(which anyway is pathetic standing and 111111)
Bulkitten… I’m really tired of people saying gw2 is all about jamming the 1 key, and that the other skills are useless… first of all, jamming/spaming 1 is pointles, because if you lock on target, after hitting the 1 key once, it will do it infinitly thereafter without your help, so there is no need to hit the key more than once.
Secondly, let me use the ranger long bow as an example to prove how many skills are useful, and how they can be imployed:
~Skill 2 is just like skill one, only it does the damage much faster, and each consecutive strike is move powerful, so basically a faster, stronger attack that helps pour in the dp and down enemies sooner.
~Skill 3 is a crippling skill, it makes your oponiont slower, and thus really helps in situations where you need to keep the enemy from reaching a target, giving you the extra couple of seconds needed to kill it. In this particular battle, the cripple skill should be saved for the mendor, as it proves very effective in this situation.
~Skill 4 is a kockback, one of the most useful, yet highly -and unfairly- controled skills in the game. While the initial damage may be mute, its potential to knock oponionts off a cliff or into lava is really what makes it worth its slot, capable of killing an oponiont instantly. …unfortunatly, while enemy npcs are given free reign to use this tactic on us, the enemies in any given location where this tactice becomes pliable, are imune to kockbacks. Thus making the skill all but useless and crippling the balance in the game. on the other hand, a knockback can still be used in this particular situation to slow down the mendor just as the crippling skill does, and when the two are combined, they are very effective.
~Skill 5 is a aoe skill that hits any and every enemy within the target range, and is thus very useful when dealing with mobs. Also, the fact that it continues to rain down arrows even after you stop fireing volleys alows you to continue dealing damage to one target while moving to access another. A good example of this is when you recieve the mendor alert, you can rain down skill 5 on the statue so that he continues recieveing damage while you deal with the mendor. In addition, those who are struggling to fend off the other ghost, or getting the neccessary kills to charge the great sword, can use this skill to hit numberous ghost at one time, and thus bring down the group faster. That being said, when used properly, all gw2 skills have a tactical use and can make game play much easier/faster. Even outside of combat they have uses, such as the greatswords leap skill which allows you to quickly traverse great distances, and make otherwise hard jumps.
Otaku, people throw around the ‘just stand around and mash 11111’ nonsense to try and justify their own opinion on how supposedly terrible this game is. Or how supposedly terrible other players are…
Yes, great guys. Rather than try and be helpful and make suggestions as to how to work things we get “you’re just a bad player.”
Food for thought… The tone of a thread is often set by the OP.
Perhaps if the OP had come here asking for help, saying ‘Man, did this fight get buffed or something? Having a hard time on this with my mesmer.’ instead of saying the equivalent of ‘OMG! THIS FIGHT SUX! ANET DISRESPECTING PLAYERS!!’, then their might have been far less room for snarky retorts.
Peanut Gallery comments aside, I did the fight on my Elementalist and didn’t find it /that/ difficult.
I stayed close to the statue, staying on the sides of it usually, watching for a Mender to appear. Once one did, I would focus on him and burn him down usually before he gets halfway into the room, then focus back on the statue or the other ghosts (depending on if Rytlock needed to charge his sword or not.) One of the orbs got me, but once I realized that I couldn’t destroy them before they got to me, I learned to dodge through them.
Overall, this fight was, to me, a fair challenge without being too hard.
/shrug
Wow…
The wonderful toxicity level in this thread…
And that’s a problem with programming and scripting… It does not differentiate things much. It just looks for certain behaviors and patterns and, when something meets that criteria, it flags it.
I’m going to guess that farming nodes for over what could be considered and extreme amount of time (legitimately or not, 10 hours /is/ a long time…) will flag the account as a possible bot…
The problem becomes when such a flag shows up, the Moderators probably aren’t going to look too deep into it.
Just look at it, see the flag and ban-button.
Or even worse, Moderators aren’t even involved and the entire system is automatic… (Which I personally think is a bad way of doing things… Too easy for such systems to be circumvented or abused…)
I’m willing to bet that the programming in this situation does not take into account other actions taken… Just looks at the amount of nodes harvested over how long a time.
Definitely not saying it’s right on Anet’s part, but I can also see how a problem like this could happen.
Hopefully they get it fixed soon.
I’ll throw my 2 copper into this, even though I didn’t manage to get a Collectors Edition of the game.
More /dance emotes! Hell, more emotes in general!
Because it’s okay to have a hissy fit and to express how much you can’t stand the game/how the Devs are ruining it/how it’s dying/whatever other Anti-Anet Agenda crap that gets thrown out there…
But anything else that -isn’t- trying to bash this game in some way shape or form?
Constructive criticism as opposed to vitriol laiden crying and gnashing of teeth?
Oh no no no! We can’t have that here, now can we?
‘Let the buyer beware’ I think is the applicable term here.
Or perhaps in this case, ‘investor’ might be a better fit.
Sorry for your loss there, OP (seriously, I am.) but it just goes to show how things on the internet can be.
Yeah, thinking about it I have forgotten one way of story writing is starting small with a steady pace before leading up to a climax but with thorns already sprouting all over the world it would be nice to have a small element of investigation outside of an instanced story. I imagine we will see as the story progresses of what the developers have in mind.
As for the zerging of many of the events. I do agree that as challenge goes, it doesn’t make as much of a fulfilling experience as it can be like The Shatterer. The Twisted Marionette was one of the best world bosses from the living story as it required both skill/tactics and the teamwork of lot of players involvement making for a true battle that was more than just rushing in.
One personally hopes there will be more like the Marionette , a one off event that will be remembered rather than one that will forever spawn back every day.
To play Devil’s Advocate for a moment…
The more complicated you make a big epic event, the easier it is for people to mess it up.
Don’t get me wrong. I loved the Twisted Marionette.
But dang, did it seem rather easy for a few stupid trolls to come in and mess things up for everyone.
The Battle for Lion’s Arch is another one of the thing’s I liked. It felt big and epic with everyone needing to at least loosely work together to try and take back the ruins of a beloved city.
But again, how long did it take before the selfish good for nothing trolls came in and just akitten at the entryways, riding the coat tails of the players that really were trying?
You know what my absolute favorite events were?
The zone-wide invasions of Scarlet’s combined forces. The moment when you and a group of other players who just happened to be there with you charged in and clashed with an equally massive group of Aetherblade Pirates or Molten Alliance and the crazy insanity that followed…
But again… how soon did the ADD rattled masses lose interest? (I’ll give the invasion events this much, at least the trolls couldn’t just idle in the zones and ride other peoples coat tails like they did in Attack on LA…)
Hopefully, Anet doesn’t cave into the overly loud forum warriors that claim to represent more then just themselves and move too far away from the big, epic ‘clash of armies’ type of events just to stroke the egos of the singe-player, console game minded players who can’t stand having other people around them in a massively multiplayer online game…
P.S.
…
Okay, sorry OP, I went off on a bit of a rant near the end… But the whining, kittening and belly-aching that goes on in these forums recently, about /anything/ that Anet does is enough to make me want to vomit…
Bugs or Broken Events or legitimate issues with the mechanics of the game? Okay, air your concerns (minus the vitriol.) Please do! Those kind of things need to be fixed.
Whining and demanding single-player content in an MMO with an overblown sense of self-entitlement? Grow up or go back to playing console RPGs were you can be the worlds biggest special-snowflake and save the entire universe by yourself…
Sylvaries (Sylvari’s?) had a pretty different chat with the Pale Tree at the beginning of this episode.. Much more about her ‘protecting’ all her children from the magic of Mordremoth.
Say no more, in case someone is about to go through it
Now that you mentioned Mama Tree….
With the way the LS is going and Anet’s love for Game of Thrones, I fear that the devs will find a way to kill her off. I hope that doesn’t happen. Seriously.
If an MMO’s mechanics are able to comfortably accomodate dozens of players in one event, it’s fine. But if a zerg removes any need for tactics and and thinking, replacing it with mashing autoattack, then the MMO should stick to the mix of moderately large groups and instances.
Have you actually fought any of the Mordem Champions in the Iron Marches? You stand there, stupidly ‘mashing autoattack’ as you say, and the vines that come out of the ground will down you, then a short time later, kill you with zero chance of rallying.
I kinda get the complaint here… it IS kinda an annoyance when you buy something, then shortly after you see, “X+1! Buy now!”
And it IS also true that software =/= hardware. People understand when they buy a physical thing that it’s not something that can just be changed on the fly. With software, it might take more work than the layman might think, but it CAN be changed.
But at the same time… it IS wrong to effectively say, “I bought this, now you can’t make ANYTHING better than it EVER because I bought this.” I mean, come on. It starts reaching the point of the absurd to expect and demand to be compensated whenever something changes.
Remember the uproar and hyperbole that was thrown up here in the forums when the Watchwork Pick was released and some people started throwing tantrums, saying how badly it ‘devalued’ the Molten Pick they had bought, when in reality, it didn’t give any real advantage?
I’m waiting for the screams of how this game has become ‘P2W’ and how these new Kites represent a ‘Dangerous Precedent’ and other such frothing at the mouth nonsense…
(edited by ShinjoNaomi.1896)
So what I’m hearing is…
‘I want an open, living world experience, but I /don’t/ want to have any other people being there!’
Private Servers ftw, I guess…
I want an open living world experience but I want my story to be instanced so I can enjoy the lore and atmosphere without people cursing and bugging my progress.
Zerging in the open world for an organic experience is one thing.
Going through my story chapters for a rich and immersive lore filled experience is an entirely different thing.
You know what breaks immersion for me?
Being the ‘One True Hero’ who somehow is able to defeat a god-level entities whose level of power we mere humans can hardly even fathom. Who as the ‘most special of snow-flakes’ in the world, can somehow single-handedly take out creatures that can decimate entire armies…
None of my characters are Superman or Wonder Woman, and the threats revealed in this patch are meant to be overwhelming and downright suicidal to try and take on by one’s self.
Instanced content does a does not do a good job of showing just how big these world-threatening monstrosities are.
Now, I’ll admit that the implementation of these events could have /probably/ been done differently, but I’m not presumptuous enough to assume that I could have done things any better either.
So what I’m hearing is…
‘I want an open, living world experience, but I /don’t/ want to have any other people being there!’
Private Servers ftw, I guess…
What I find funny about this thread is, going by what the original OP said… they were frustrated at the drop rates of a Fossilized Insect… An account-bound item that you can’t buy no matter how much gold you have.
So farming for gold… is pointless here.
That aside, I do agree that RNG can indeed be a fickle and often cruel mistress. I can’t tell you how badly I wanted the Chaos of Lyssa recipe during the Queen’s Gauntlet.
Can’t tell you how many Gauntlet Chances I opened up.
But, try as I might, it just didn’t happen.
Oh well…
I have played plenty of games, and the RNG here doesn’t seem any worse then others… It’s all about luck.
Like rolling a 20-sided die in Dungeons & Dragons… Only a 5% chance of rolling a ‘1’… But kitten , does it feel like I roll a ‘1’ a lot more then 5% of the time…
These threads and their titles always amuse me…
‘Party changes that need to happen’
No they don’t need to happen… Thanks for voicing your opinion though…
-reads all this-
/facepalm
Isn’t it just as easy to take just one waypoint to the bank and get them from there? I mean, it literally takes a few seconds. :P
I mean I’m all for QoL upgrades, but personally I would never spend gems on such a small thing.
This. It’s not hard to get to your personal bank.
Anyplace that has a Crafting Table of any kind allows access, even if you don’t do crafting.
(Main Norn Warrior) / Was rightly miffed that she couldn’t save her, then rather sad for Jori’s sake. She wasn’t exactly in a position to comfort her and/or Kass, so she didn’t try, and figured it was better to let the humans grieve as they feel the need to.
Forum players wanted someone to die.
Looks like they got what they wanted to me…
Sorann, I agree with you on all points… People are blowing this out of proportion, but that’s the nature of these forums…
If Anet added a machine to the game that spit out money, people would kitten about it not sorting that money into numerical order first.
If only there was more of this on the forums, rather then the usual… ‘THIS SUX! You ruined this game! Developers clearly don’t know what they are doing! Good Going TRASHNET!’… kind of garbage that is usually spewed here.
+1, for good ideas and well though out feedback on things, Shriketalon. Where can I sign up for your newsletter?
Joking and sarcasm aside, the OP brings a lot of good ideas to light here, and touches upon one of my biggest criticisms of this game.
Arah story and the fall of Zhaitan.
I don’t know if it’s been officially stated that it was rushed and unfinished, but I’m pretty sure we can all agree that it was. The final fight /should/ have had one more part to it. The unfinished feel of the map, the parts of it down below the airships, the point of interest that nobody can get to.
It all points to just how unfinished and rushed Arah story really is.
Please, Anet… Please go back and finish Arah.
And also… Please, make Zhaitan a bad-kitten terror again. Bring back the risen adds to something like they used to be before they got nerfed into the ground.
This is the Elder Dragon of Undeath… The same god-like creature that raised an entire sub-continent sized kingdom from the depths of the ocean and whose adamantine will controls an entire nation worth of undead.
Each time he flies past the Pride of Tyria during that last fight, he should be vomiting out so many risen that the airship strains to stay aloft just from the sheer weight of them. Not just three pathetic zombies, a risen quaggen and a gorilla.
Living Story season 1 is not available yet. The Devs are working on making it a possibility in the future.
Agreed, if there’s going to be a new race at some point, it should recieve the full treatment. New capital, personal story, starter zone and cultural armors are all necessary.
Agreed as well.
I am all about the Tengu becoming a playable race, but at the same time, I am patient enough to want it done right.
I honestly hope that the update in question was a precursor to opening up Claw Island and allowing us to return there.
Did you talk to the Black Lion Trader (Armorsmith)? You should still have the skin for it if you had the Bandana.
Oh yes, first thing I did when the patch went live. The consensus amongst the other affected players is that having it equipped meant that the slot was removed when the patch hit, which means that you no longer “had it” and thus the skin was not unlocked.
I lost my devil horns the same way
I really liked those horns.
And to add the more choices of weapons and armor the better. I would love to see cultural armor types that are part of some kind of event chain.
Good heavens.
I hope you put a tickets in to Support for that.
No sarcasm meant there… If you had those items and they were lost in the transition to the new Wardrobe system then you definitely deserved them back.
I would definitely love to see these outfits available for us. If not exactly them, them something along those lines.
Maybe introduce small side quests (for each race) to acquire them. Much like you could for this…
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Iron%27s_Tailpipe_BandanaHowever, to play Devil’s Advocate on the subject… the above suggestion goes against the general idea of ‘everything being all inclusive’ (Cultural Armors not withstanding since, you know, people tend to flip out needlessly when you even look at those wrong…)
The Bandana was something that everyone of every race could get. Would we really want every race to be able to get clothes and outfits that were designed for other races? Would it even make sense?
A Norn walking around in a Charr outfit?
A Charr in an Asura outfit?
A Human in Sylvari leaves?
From the way some people screamed and started foaming at the mouth over the original Flamekissed light armor, I doubt very much we’ll ever see that sort of thing again…My tailpipe bandanas were all lost during the Wardrobe transition

This fight was hard?
Aside from Jory and Kas vanishing halfway through it (That’s either a bug or they realized that Belinda was being attacked in the fort… in which case, they could have said something…) I had no problems with this story instance or this boss fight.
Jory is a necro, what if she…. reanimates the body!!!! Mwhahahaha
That is actually interesting if u think about it. She keeps her zombie sister hidden from others so that no one knows what terrible thing she did (instead of letting her go in peace and other bla bla’s). Then all of a sudden people find out bla bla blaaa… Would make for an interesting twist in her personal story
….because aparently everything in this game has a more character and story behind it compared to your own character……even the skrit.
Then make your character interesting and give them a backstory and personality. Or is that possible for people to do without game developers spoon feeding us every little detail about our character.
‘Imagination? Whas dat? I just want to kill stuff and be cooler then everyone else!’ :p
Back on topic…
I am more inclined to believe that Jory just doesn’t want to deal with more then one thing at a time. Her sister just died. That’s a pretty big thing for a family to have to go through.
Why add further tension to to the situation by bringing home your Noble lover at the same time?

So some dumb little prick with an ego problem and too much time on his hands is responsible for this?
For the love of god, I know this is wrong, but I don’t care… I hope someone finds this punk and aerates him, thus making the world a slightly nicer place.
I dunno. I found it funny as hell, personally.
I’m there swinging at it with my Charr Guardian, trying not to get tossed around by the smaller whirlwinds that the thing spawns, and then suddenly.. I’m just holding a chicken.
I can picture him just stopping there, looking at this massive chicken in his arms (because of how the chickens scale up in size with whoever is holding them) then glancing around a few times before looking back at the chicken…
“… Well, at least I got dinner tonight!”
This is unacceptable from a lore perspective, this is worse than anything Scarlet ever did. I hope they hotfix this and have us get the name via a book or note in Scarlets room, that would be bearable, but this? Just unacceptable.
Do you think you might be being a little hyperbolic there?
But isn’t that how complaints are /supposed/ to be on these forums?
Anet needs to keep people interested in this game and sadly they are failing to do that.
Do you have evidence to back up that claim?
I keep asking for that too. Never see anything.
In fact, this is what I do see… at 2:38 AM EST on a Monday night/Tuesday morning… I’m not an expert, but that hardly seems like a prime time to me…
@Crovax, FFXIV is appealing to a different crowd. It’s sub numbers are very low – which is fine because as a sub game it doesn’t need a ton of subscribers to still break even. So yeah, they are able to put stuff like that in, but GW2 is doing just fine with the kind of content they’re releasing at the moment, I don’t see them changing what they’re doing. And to clarify I completely get what everyone is saying, I’ve been playing FFXIV this month because the GW2 story release didn’t take me super long, but GW2 is a B2P game which players can return to whenever they want – it was never designed to be a hardcore gamers paradise.
Ding!
FlamingFox gets it!
Exactly where does it state that you can not be playing more then one MMO at any given time? You see, that’s the wonderful thing about GW2… No monthly sub, yet we are still getting new content. I can play when I want, and not feel like I’m wasting my hard earned cash if I don’t play.
On another note…
Show me the numbers that state GW2 is losing people.
Seriously, I want to see this for myself. I hear it said again and again on these forums, with /zero/ evidence supporting this.
What I see are plenty of players all around.
In fact, if I go look at the North American servers right now… all of them read ‘Very High’ and ‘Full’.
Hmm… This goes quite contrary to what the naysayers keep spouting here ad infinitum and ad nauseam…
If I recall correctly, in one of the earlier parts of the Flame and Frost part in Living Story 1, snow storms and blizzards would suddenly kick up in Wayfarers. These blizzards would reduce visibility and spawn Ice Elementals that would attack anything near them. I remember occasionally seeing them get into fights with the local Sons of Svanir.
Personally, I loved the ambient feeling of those storms and would enjoy seeing them come back.
As for other areas and differing weather…
I know that in some parts of the world (Stormbluff Isle in Bloodtide Coast for example) the weather can suddenly change, but that is a stationary effect.
If Anet could set up a weather system like they did in FF14:ARR have done, I personally would love it.
That being said, I have no clue what it could take to implement something like that.
You guys are the minority.
Most people loved this new content. If you don’t, there’s nothing stopping you from switching to another game.
Or you could take some time and actually learn how to jump properly.
It’s actually not hard. At all.Love this new map. I hope we get alot more like this.
This probably won’t help, but just as a piece of life advice, getting an attitude just because people disagree with you leads to stagnation, not improvement.
Now if only people on both sides of this pointless bickering would learn this lesson…
No.
And here’s why…
I like them.
There, I have done what every single other angry forum-poster here has done and shoved my opinion in everyone’s face.
Now, I will continue with the ongoing forum traditions of ignoring and discounting anyone whose opinion runs contrary to mine while simultaneously insulting them…
-Disclaimer: To those who are wondering, yes this is sarcasm and should not be taken as a personal affront to the OP (who I would like to believe is just poking fun at another thread that got seriously derailed…) In no way shape or form am I saying people shouldn’t give their opinions. However, the nauseating amount of hyperbole, bile, venom, vitriol and toxicity that gets spewed on these forums lately is pitiable, since I truly do wonder if a large portion of gamers these days can ever really enjoy anything in the games they play without angrily wailing and foaming at the mouth about every single tiny displeasure or perceived slight.
The amount of people yelling for ‘better story writing’ and ‘better character development’ is amusing, since I’ll bet that the vast majority know less then nothing about writing for such a medium as an MMO, or video games in general.
(edited by ShinjoNaomi.1896)
Im shocked at the lack of reasoning behind these complaints.
July 1st was teaser content and an intro into a new story line.
July 8th the “Gates of Maguuma” open.
Until then, how with any lick of sense, can you judge said new LS 2 content?
Do you judge entire movies on the 15 second pre-opening credits reel?I swear its like people just sit quietly waiting in the shadows for something, anything, to complain about. And will do so without knowing what they are even talking about. Or without doing anything to gain any knowledge about what they think they are talking about.
It’s the internet… and more specifically, the GW2 Official Forums… How much reasoning do you really expect?
While I don’t think the B-iconics are the best characters ever written, they certainly aren’t terrible.
My opinion is, they are just fine. We don’t need new characters.
The OP can stop acting like they speak for anyone but themselves.
I started a new alt when the traits revamp happened, so I could experience it for myself.
Honestly, I rather like it.
Like pdavis said above, having to unlock the traits gives me more of a reason to get out and explore and do stuff.
It’s actually pretty cool when you are just running around, doing an event chain or fully mapping out an area or just fighting a boss and you are rewarded a trait unlock when you finish.
This again…
No.
