But no, ofc, it does not count as ranked arena.
To me it’s a shame as map, but cause they put it into legendary achievement, ranked queue and metabattle meta… i guess it could count as spvp.

Nor does, for example, having both necro and reaper above tempest, mean there will be 2 “necro” in a comp, it just means reaper and necro are better meta picks than – have priority over – tempest, but reaper fills the same role as necro and does it better, so while necro would be prioritised over tempest, if you have a reaper already, you won’t take a necro, leaving a spot open for a tempest.

As thief DD S/SB i can’t handle a good Scrapper.
To me is a good counter for thieves. More than DragonHunter.And cause no nerf will come with the new patch, i really doubt that “regen on dodge” or “more dmg on autoattack” will save me from a scrapper. Due to mention, Sigil of Energy nerf ( which is ok, but still not a good spot for 1v1 as thief ).
Well, that’s an easy fix. Switch to D/P. Blinds are your friend and D/D is especially weak with the introduction of all the block skills that HoT introduced.
@ Jourdelune: I think you’re putting Revs pretty high up for a class that’s going to be really vulnerable to burst in a burst heavy meta after the Facet of Light nerf.

Endure pain would be ok, but berserk stance not.
Just cause i will be a skill which gives you a boon, so no more “undispellable tooltip”.
I mean, you gain resistance, some1 remove your resistance, end.
If gives you 8 sec of “condition duration reduced” on you, which cannot be dispelled, and with lower cd than its actual skill, well it’s not worth it.
I’d prefer to rework zerk stance ( don’t know what, but maybe something really “berserk” ) and add both cd and resistance to endure pain.
Something like 6 sec ( with trait, 7.5 sec ) Prot/Resist. CD 40 sec
Also just look at the actual stances ( zerk and pain ).
both have 60 sec cd and are underpower if compared to the new we re talking about.
So have better skills with better cd i think is “a bit” enough.
at last, still i don’t get why stances are the only one with 25% extra duration instead 20% cd reduction. a change would be nice cause they have high cd.

totally agree too ( though was what yoy TS meant. You didn’t talk about other passives, which modify skills, cause changing the gameplay by choice is ok, am i right? ).
Also, random sigils should be gone too ( 50% chance on crit, which is another %, so RNG over RNG, to proc X extra damage ). Something like Every X seconds, your next attack deal X extra damage. Flat passive, no RNG, seems fine.

The game is still fun for me until you run into the cancer builds… #respect to those that run non-cancer-meta build.
I still playing thief like a boss, and always get comment like “wtf how so much damage on thief?” if played right they are still 100% viable and strong as hell, especially with staff aoe.
Only prob is I die instantly if I’m not in an evade frame lol.
Staff is barely just enough fun for me to ignore the cancer and play, I actually kinda like being the underdog because your enemies are more surprised when you rek em.
I’m not sure how this meta will fare but time will tell, not sure if removing bunker completely was the move to make, but it will definitely be better than what we have now.

Some stability skills have 0 cast time ( others both bs + stab ).
But i guess also depends on which class you are playing.
Btw i feel the same as thief ( HoT spvp has more cc than the gw2 old spvp ), and have no stability ( just 1 long cd breakstun which can be sometimes used twice ).
You could try to stack on other classes who give aoe boons, but the radius is kinda low, and without a leader or focus, is not that good stacking on someone who does not know what to do or focus swap ).

All classes have to use their cd on the right time.
Stacking passive heals ( regen, signet, adrenaline, sigil of blood, etc ) it’s disgusting for everyone who likes pvp.
But it’s not all about healings, random proc sigils ( 50% chance to ) and some passive traits ( Like thief improvvisation, signet of inspiration, etc ) should be fixed too cause randomic.
Also static passive traits should be removed ( when you reach 50% gain XX ).
They are not RNG, but still a passive skill which could save the player because yes.

You’re right, but the real issue with thief is that it’s hard to have impact on a solo queue game with average players , plus it’s still fairly easy to die considering actual meta.
When you get good teammates( whatever setup is, except worst scenario), playing thief is good. When you get a terrible setup + teammates not willing to read chat, i feel like being quite useless as a thief, since i can’t have any decisive impact on a game( already had 1v2 wins on far while whole team suiciding in DH traps 4v3)

I used to like the traps cd return cause they were meant to be useless ( thief ) and viable ( condi ranger ), but there was a counterplay. with dh there’s not.

Sometimes you dodge, trigger em all, an traps continue to daze you. and still i don’t know why.
Also, if 4 traps proc the same moment, all daze effect should overwrite em all, giving the player 1 single second of daze. But sill i see something like a permadaze ( maybe a bug, dunno ).
