Is there ANY ONE playing the game any more?
This is the fourth season with this really bad league system. I think many people have lost hope and stopped playing PvP.
What we do need is to be able to receive something a little better than those green/blue bags you get per kill (which TBH feel more like a punishments, having to sort all the trash loot in those bags).
That’s something we need for nearly every area of the game. After playing a little while your whole inventory is full of worthless junk.
same way as you don’t get capped at 1 PvP win.
sPvP has a daily coin reward cap.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Structured_PvP#Rewards
Many other content (dungeons, open world …) has daily reward caps as well.
Raids have weekly reward cap.
I marked the key words for you
Would a daily cap of 1 wing make it any better for you? ;-)
I don’t say that these caps are good but the OP make it look like caps for raids are something special/unique and they are not.
I try to help out the guy at Far, but the problem is that we CANNOT down that DH at all.
It should be easy to down a DH with the help of a teammate.
Here are a few tips:
- Use a good build (http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Daredevil_-_Dagger/Pistol).
- Let your teammate do the opening. So the traps are gone and the DH has lost some health. Traits like Executioner give a good DPS increase if the enemy is below the health threshold.
- Spare steal or some initiative to interrupt his healing.

A function to disable glider sounds would be great. I don’t want to disable all effect-sounds, but glider sounds are pesky after a while.
Yes please reintroduce Skill based Leaderboard and automated tournaments.
the casual open world experience.
Well “casual open world experience” doesn’t mean you can join a group, break their rules by AFKing and get rewarded for it. ;-)
If you don’t like their rules you can organize your own group.
What’s the easiest way to get gold these days in-game (not through gems)?
Trading Post
This is how bad the state of the game is at the moment… the amount of braindead zombies around is huge.
you just see traps and passive damage / blocks / invuls and CC flying everywhere…
That happens if you try to make a game so casual that even a toddler can play it.

I dont think MM is the issue. I think the community is just spent. My last 5 matches has had some just sit when they felt it was over.
There are far better things to do with your time than just grind out a match that was lost from the beginning.
If you give up games in the beginning, maybe PvP isn’t the right thing for you.
No match is lost before it is over.

Here’s another great example of Anets Matchmaking in one of my solo Q games.
And this was against a guild premade.
Guild premade?
Your screenshot shows only 2 man teams as enemies and a 3 man team on your side.
I said “I’m better at running because I wear Knight gear”. They called me noob and kicked me out of the squad just because I play the way I want.
You can play the way you want, but that doesn’t mean everyone else is forced to play with you.
In group content the group is making the rules and if the group decides to use most efficient gear you either use it or you don’t fit in that group. If you want to make your own rules start your own own group.
and then make them worse? hm.
Especially this.
If you lose to guardians, you’re just getting outplayed, really. The class is 100% balanced. That’s why solo queuers are only queuing with guardian.
No, this class isn’t balanced, it is really bad. That’s why it has nearly no presence in competitive Play.
Last WTS Qualifier:
5 Heralds
4 Druids
4 Chronomancers
3 Berserkers
2 Scrappers
2 Reapers
2 Tempests
1 Daredevil
1 Dragonhunter
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/Team-comp-at-the-WTS-Qualifier
DH are easy to play and can kill noobs easy, that’s why many solo queuers play them.
Did we kill PvP by not liking stronghold?
Nah, anet killed it with the extremely bad matchmaking in S2 and S3.
Why is everything thing in this game from anet these days, obsessed with ‘hard core’ and raiding – it’s spilling over into other areas.
Where is all this ‘hard core’ content?
I haven’t found hard content till today. :-(
Most content I found is faceroll on the keyboard easy. :-(
I’m making this Topic because I like a challenge and I like a fight, not having the upper hand simply because my class is, without a doubt, stronger and simply makes no sense to fight.
If that’s true please explain why this class was the least used class in the last WTS Qualifier?

Make Even More People Leave the Game Again 2016
This
they seem to spawn in random locations around the city.
They are not random.
Maybe it is just me(please no hate here!) but does anyone else find the HoT maps boring?
That happens if many people come to the forum to complain that everything is too hard, you get content which is faceroll easy and boring as hell. :-(
There are much more options than points needed and I think with LS3 there will be even more.
After all the forum hate because of HoT my biggest fear is that anet makes the next expansion faceroll easy and boring as hell.
Is there any advise people can give for dealing with the new maps?
My best advice is watch you surrounding and watch the mobs. The biggest difference between HoT and Core Tyria is that you cannot facetank every enemy or run into zergs of enemies. So don’t run in big groups of enemies and don’t pull every enemy in sight.
HoT open world was already nerfed and is quite easy it just isn’t faceroll on the keyboard easy as core Tyria.
One time I was #2 on the leaderboards. You know who was #1? Some random guy who was 10-1. H8 the old leaderboards.
Old leaderboards had problems with people who played very little, but that could be fixed, for example require 100 matches to show up in leaderboards.
Let’s not. Leagues give you an incentive to even bother in the first place. The old leaderboards sure as hell did not. Rewards ain’t got nothing to with it, they’re terrible anyway. No one does PvP for rewards.
In Addition to the MMR based leaderboard you can return the automatic tournaments which had really good rewards and gave titles like “Legend of the Arena”.
Do you think match making would be quicker and more fair if they didn’t use mmr at all, but instead just matched you with players in the same rank/tier range.
It would be quicker but the outcome of the matches would be pure RNG. Leagues doesn’t represent skill, since it is easier to gain pips then to lose them. Everyone who plays much can get in high leagues. So in a system which doesn’t use MMR it is pure luck which team gets the better players and most games would end in a blowout.
A much better system would be to use only MMR and to get rid of Leagues.
Would going back to the old system solve that?
I think it would be a big improvement.
The Leaderboard was MMR based, so the best player where on top. (It had a few flaws but they could be fixed.) Now the league is point based so players which play much are on top.
The Matchmaking where MMR-based so you play with and against players of your skill. Now the matchmaking is mainly league based so even if there are players of your skill, you don’t play with or against them if they are not near your league.
So for the love of jesus let us queue outside of this awful lobby.
That doesn’t solve the real problem.
Fix the League-System or get rid of it and give us short que times!
You cannot kite them, because they also ranged attack you
Ranged attack you???
How?
A D/D, staff thief has no real ranged weapon.
You did kind of race ahead to a high tier early in the season when most people are ruby or below.
So good players are only allowed to play a few weeks per season?
The only thing I dislike are the long queues in unranked, that basically force me to only play builds I’m already good at, but hey, it means that people enjoy ranked
You are only ruby, they get longer and longer for each league. So not much to enjoy if you have to wait forever for a match in high leagues.
This is the 3rd bad implementation of a League-System. Because of this League-System we get long que-times for bad matches. So get rid of Leagues and give us the skill based leaderboard back.
You haven’t fought a thief that knows their profession well then. Thieves can easily control the outcome of a match because of their extraordinary decap & +1ing abilities.
D/D, staff Thieves have no decap-abilities because they miss SB. I would say any Thief without SB is really bad because he can’t fulfill his role.
Is this meta in Amber, or why have I never meet such a thief?
Stronghold: Anet need to increase the reward for it, the main reason people don’t play stronghold is because the time and reward is not up to par and people generally want faster games.
Nah, Stronghold matches are really fast. They are more like an Dungeon SpeedRun.
Most people don’t play it because it is PvE. You protected NPCs (Doorbreaker) mainly against NPCs (Guards) so that they can destroy the gates and you can kill an NPC (Lord). Sorry, but that doesn’t feel like PvP.
Just have seen a lot of primordial legends and s2 legends in sapphire recently. I guess skill doesn’t matter if there’s a premade 50/50 w/l ratio.
The league system is mainly about grind, not skill. Thus they need some time to grind their way back to legendary.
very often there is nothing you can do to turn a game.
Most of the time there is something, but you must work hard for it. If you play solo/duo you must be prepared to carry hard. If you want to rely on your teammates you should play in a team. If you play solo/duo you need to correct the mistakes of you teammates and carry them through fights, if needed. You don’t have voice com, so watch the minimap and your surroundings. So you see fights which need help, open portals …
What exactly is the problem with this match? (no 4v5, no Blowout)
Guys come on we ALL know that Dragon Hunters are clearly the favorite class in this game, they are so unbelievably OP it’s stupid, zero counter play to this class they need to nerf all the damage by 20%.
WTF???
They aren’t even meta, how can they be OP?
Meta is for high level play, not low or medium leagues. ;-)
If you don’t think they’re grindy, don’t post.
Hmmmm…I think I can translate this.
If you disagree with my position then go away, because I am unable to support it in a reasonable debate.
Fixed.
This
If you don’t want a discussion you shouldn’t post in a forum.
NOTE: I have 23 Level 80 Toons and 16 have map completion can you match that?
I have more Toons (yes, I’m an altoholic) but lesser map completion, because I hate doing hearts. (Most of them are extremely tedious and repetitive tasks.) So I would call that a draw. ;-)
I agree with this 100% I have no interest in doing their little side games (I know others like them I just do not) so that means I’m stuck at 110 for my masteries.
Why?
There are 66 Central Tyria points available and 139 Heart of Maguuma points available of which 30 are from Adventures.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mastery_point_unlocks
So even without a single point from Adventures you aren’t stuck at 110.
Please no.
That would mean a lot of work (armor, starting area, story etc.) for a small bit of low level content most player would enjoy one time. This time could be invested much better in new fractals, new raids etc. which get played more often.
… no. New Fractals and raids would not gather anywhere NEAR as much attention or playtime as a new open world map does.
I’m not against open world content, a new Level 80 Open World Map like Silverwastes would be cool too. I’m against low level content. A new starting area, or personal story is much work and would have no replay value.
Please no.

Any chance that the perma bank or any of the other perma things will be unbound. with the price as it is now (3870g) it is unobtainable to almost everyone, but if it got unbound, alot of ppl would want to sell em, and the price would fall.
This price drop would only last for a short while. If you really want to have better access to it you need to improve the droprate.
I don’t miss them.
