That’s a good trait. It help you to don’t die quickly.
And that’s a minor trait, not a “good one”, you can’t pretend that it can be a very good trait like the trait’s that you can chose in adep, master or grandmaster.

Anyway, I think that’s a good mino trait.

The only one build that will be powered up is the minionmaster. But only by a single trait.
Direct damage build will not be influenced by that trait’s so much and nothing is been to be powered up, like everyone wanted to.
Condition damage will be forced to chose between increased condition duration by scepter, fear that give damage or heal by conditions. That will be a big problem and turn down a little the condition build. And Dhuumfire will move to Soul Riping, a traitline that provide absolitly nothing to condition damage.

Everyone wanted some more defensive traits but no one provide us one. Only the same of the past 2 years.

For the www build nothing will change. For spvp there will be a large amount of MM builds because it’s the only one that will be empowered a little. Condition damage build will lose fear damage or condition duration or healing from conditions. And every single thing that will be buffed a little will be lost while you enter the DS state because not a single trait will be use in DS state. Only the Dhuumfire will be good, that will grant a little of condition damage to condi build. But for a dps class nothing will change. Not in better.

If that trait will be on beastmastery ok, but it will be on nature magic, a trait that point to protect you from damage and conditions, that trait will give you protection (and to your pet with the minor trait). No reason to make a trait only for your pet on a traitline that don’t focus on it but on the chance to swap boons with your pet.
I hope only that it will be changed in duration and/or cooldown.

I’m serious:
When you been struck by a common attack you obtain 8sec of Protection (eventually with +X% duration with runes) and 6 sec of AoE Weakness every 12 sec??
Survavibility skills that remove conditions, give fury with reducted CD in one single trait and troll’s unguent that become a Survival skill

That build work very well for me, expecially in dungeons where there’s a lot of mobs.
That build deal high damage and survive very well.
Dagger autoattack + Locst swarm + 2 wells = 9 attacks in 2 seconds. If every attack do a critical hit you can heal yourself by 800 hp in 2 sec for every enemy near you. Or at last 400hp. we can say that yoiu can heal 600hp in 2 seconds for every enemy. And you increase your damage by 2-6% because that life siphon deal damage to your enemy.

Two things:
1) I’ve used rune of eagle because they’re not expensive. If you can buy rune of strength is better (expecially for might stack).

2) Signet of Vampirism Healing Skill. Yes, I use it in dungeon. Because it help the team with a little heal and damage. And against a lot of mobs it’s like have the signet of the warrior because you’re hitted by mobs and that active your signet every second.
To clean conditions you’ve the Offhand dagger on the second weapon set.
But if you want you can change the healing skill, it’s not a problem at all.

That build grant you high damage and high survavibility.

Cleansing Ire procs without landing a hit

ANet “fix” cleansing ire this way. Some time ago CI proc when you use F1, if you hit or not. Now we need to hit.
The longbow proc it not because hit but because the skill hit always because it make a firefield. Then it first make the firefield, then hit. That make the skill a currect proc to active CI.

If you see, if someone block your LB F1 you make the firefield anyway. That active CI.

But don’t say that to ANet because they can always make that F1 first hit then make the firefield, making us unable to clean conditions or make the firefield if blocked. Shhhhh.

Try that: a cannon that can kill a large amount of enemy and survive in the second line, granting high AoE DPS to your team/zerg.

I’ve used rune of Eagle because it’s not expensive like Rune of Strength, but strangth is better. or Pack.

Taunt on Impale? Why?
Impale is on the offhand sword and that’s a Condition damage weapon, not a bunker weapon. I hope that Anet will put Taunt only on bunker weapons and bunker utility (some phisical skills like bolas and kick, or on a signet)

I hope that Taunt will be added on mace and shield , but not on other weapons.
Because Taunt will be a powerful effect and that will increase the builds that will use this weapons. And we have only 3 bunker weapons: mace and shield. At last Hammer, all the other weapons don’t need to put aggro on you.

The shoutbow warrior is the best support class in spvp actually, but the worst 1vs1 build for warrior ever made.

But if you win in 1vs1 it’s because you’re good or because your enemy don’t know how to fight you. Or if you find a daily win noob, that don’t know how to use he’s class and how to kill you’r XD

In 1vs1, the actual “best” build is always the Hammerbow (or the axebow against some kind of builds)

The only problem is: when the engi fall to 33% hp or less (and with 26k of hp 33% is like 12k…) he can reduce condition duration by 50%. If the engi add to that the rune that reduce condition duration by 25%… You obtain a engi that kill you with CC if you’re a direct damage and become unkillable by condition damage classes because they deal only 25% of they’re damage…

That’s a balanced class?

I hate:

Engineers (“only” because they have large amount of CC, condi resistance, boon spamming and AI damage by turets. And if they’re condition damage they can spam conditions from everywhere, killin you in 10 sec with conditions)

Thied S/D with all that blind and evasive skills

Mesmers (I know a mesmer that candeal me 15k of damage in 6 seconds. and I’ve 3k armor…)
And Mesmers with hide. so much hide. and a large amount of illusions and illusion-swap skills XD

Soldier gear any good in dungeons?

In that game, that is the best game to make new builds and where there’s a large amount of possibility, if you play a warrior and you’re not a brainless warrior with berserker GS and axe/mace no one want you in team.
That’s the saddest thing of the game.

Other useful stat sets than berserker?

You can try a mix of Valkyrie and Knight. The first grant you Vitality+power+ferocity; the second grant you Toughness, power and precision.
With that mix you can be defensive but with a good power, precision and critical damage.
Or at last you can mix Soldier and Berserker stats to obtain a more defensive build.

But in PvE (expecially) for the 80% of the dungeons you don’t need defence because if you’re a warrior everyone want you to be a berserker mindless dps with GS and Axe/Mace.

There’s a large amount of viable builds for the warrior, good support builds, defensive builds, hybrid builds, condition damage builds, but no one cares about that because in PvE everyone want you to deal damage and no more, because there’s no need to be tanky if you kill your enemy befor your enemy kill you.

In WWW you can become more useful as a Shoutbow healer with condi cleaner, but no more. Banner regen don’t work in WWW and there’s only few things that can make you useful because the warrior haven’t good defensive buffs (and can’t give them to allies).
Then, you can use a Shoutbow variation with sword/shield instead of sword/warhorn and hammer as a second weapon. But no more.

You can try to be a stunner with full Soldier/Sentinel equipment to be very hard to kill, Hammer, Stomp and Fear Me!, (adding that un your Shake it Off! to obtaining heal and condi clean from FM! and SiO!).

With a build like that you can kick your enemy away for at last 6 seconds before it’s on you, killing you without problems, expecially if your enemy have a stability skill.
You can stack 4 confusion that last 9 sec for 3 times. That’s not enough to make you hard to kill because every class now have a lot of condi cleaner skills.
And your enemy can kill you and recap the point. With a build like that is very hard for you to not die quyckly. Because you can defend yourself for 7 seconds if you add shield and endure pain. After that, your’e a dead man.

It can work to decap if your enemy don’t have a stability or a breakstun skill. But it’s better for that if you wear the hammer instead sword/shield, that grant you two more CC skill to push back or stun your enemy, eventually giving confusion to your enemy.

That build can work, but it’s easy to counter. It’s better for you to use it in the mid to help your team, than in far to decap your enemy.

There’s only one class that is good to be a true decapper: the Engineer. That’s because the engi have a extremely large amount of CC skills and that grant them 30 sec of CC skills, then only 20 sec without CC and then another full range of CC skills. And he can add more 20 sec of CC skills source if use the elite Elixir X to become a Rampage or a Tornado (expecially the tornado XD). With the tornado (if lucky) he can CC you for 60-70 sec without problems.

About your equip, in pve actually the only thing that matter is kill fast, expecially if you’re a warrior (the “best” dps class in PvE). You can use Berserker trinkets and deal high damage without problems. In the 90% of the dps builds you need berserker trinkets. Also in www builds there’s berserker trinkets, to help deal some damage.
The Infusion can be a Offensive and you can put Power. With 5 trinkets+back you can obtain 30 power, and it’s good. If you put power in all your equip (trinket, back, armor and weapons) you can obtain70 of Power and that’s like another berserker ring.

About your runes, Melandru is a Defensive rune. If you use the GS you need Offensive runes like Strength, Pack, Eagle, or Ogre. And to obtain all the effect of the Rune you need to use 6 of them, one for every piece of armor.

About your Sigils, you can use something like superior sigil of Bloodlust that give you Power stacks (25 power stacks is like 250 power, very good for a dps class) and the superior sigil of Air (or Fire) that grant you an additional attack every X seconds on your critical hits.

With a warrior in pve you can focus everything on your damage (and if you want you can use something like a Walkyrie armor to obtain a lot of Vitality, to not die quickly against a big boss)

Engi haven’t stability but have Turrets! Who need to stand up when all the damage is done by the turrets, that kill you faster than the engi? And obliviously if you play a dps class with CC (warrior for example) you deal low damage because every time you use a CC the engi obtain 3 sec of protection (every 5 sec!!!!!!!!) and all your damage is reduced by 33% (if you can hit the engi, because he can use a lot of immobility and CC skills to take you away when it’s turrets kill you. Then, the only way to kill a engi in direct damage is by distance. But if you stay away you can’t cap the point and the engy need only to stay away when you lose time killing it’s turrets from range (because if you go within the point the engi come and CC you to hell).

But there’s a way to kill a engi: Conditions!!!
Then it’s easy for a terrormancer necro kill a engi because of the engi is weak to conditions and CC. But… wait! My condition’s last only 25% of they’re durations! Oh, right, the engi have 33% hp and the rune… then he can reduce condition duration by 75% in a passive way…

Then, if you want to kill a good engi you need to be 2 or 3.

And if it’s a decapper, you have to stay there all the time because he can recap your point in 20 sec (only the time to come back and knock back you to the other side of the map)

Best build for spvp?

You can try the GS instead of the Longbow, with a build with hammer and gs in berserker. And use the classic 0/0/6/2/6 traits, that work very good. If you want you can change endure pain with bull rush to stun your enemy, but you already stun them with the hammer.

That build can deal great damage. But frequently deal lesser damage than the shoutbow or the axebow. That’s because the enemy can just dodge or be invulnerable to your 100Blades and all your damage fall to 0, or reduce it’s damage with blind, dodge at the mid of the skill, etc.

And it’s in berserker, then it’s very hard to play. Because when you run out of your endure pain there’s nothing that you can do to don’t fall dead in 10 seconds against a good dps class. You can only try to kill our enemy first.

I play axebow and I always kill every GS users that I find in tournaments. Only some gs war in spvp can deal me good damage, all the others die quickly.

But everyhting is based on your playstile. If you like it, you can play it.

I’ve some friend in the italian comunity and they try the Beta Stresstest, with the revenant and the new www border.
They simply sayd that the revenant is Really OP. And that in the new border they will have a very good position and they will be so useful that everyone will have one.

It’s a normal thing because ANet can’t release a underpowered new class, no one will take it.
That’s why I’m shure that a revenant will be better than a warrior, in spvp and www. I don’t know about PvE.

But ANet have a new great surprise for our beloved warriors!
An the surprise is: we will no more be the best pve class!!!
That’s because in the beta there’s not been the condition stack limitation. They’ve see monsters with more than 30 stacks of bleed. We don’t know if the stack limitation will be removed or only increased, but if it will be removed (or increased to 75-100, for example) there wull be so much more condition damage builds in PvE (and in pvp if they make that change also in spvp and www) because if a condition damage class is able to deal its max damage they will be able to do 3-4k of damage x second of condi+direct damage, with the last king od equip (+condi-pow-prec) or wit precious equipment stats that grant them a mid-bunker build with very high damage.

A class so good, teams need 2 of them

The current meta is about ele and engi. All you need to win is: 2 engi, 2 ele and a guardian (only for condi removal and stability, to stomp your downed enemy.

That’s because engi have swiftness, vigor and protection almost all the time and a direct damage dealer can’t kill a engi easy (and sometimes just can’t).
And the ele have a large amount of condition remove skills, healing skills and good damage skills that make it a perfect class against condition damage builds.

Then a good ele can kill also a direct damage class and a good engi can also kill a condition damage build (but only for it’s -50% of condition duration if under 33% hp and -25% condiiton duration by rune that make the engi able to avoid the 75% of condition damage just watching the enemy in the eyes and smiling. Ah, and they can transform a condition in a boon every 20 seconds just with a minor passive automatic trait).

Then if you have problems against ele and engi is a normal thing. Because if you find a good player and you’re alone you can leave the point and flee to your allies because in 1vs1 against a good ele/engi you can’t win.

But we’re lucky because there’s a lot of bad engi and ele that play, making us able to kill them.

Lol, we don’t even know 60% of the revenant’s skills and we are already making them to be overpowered…

I can say that the Revenant will be OP for 2 reasons:

1) he will be able to use a large amount of “Spirits” (don’t remember the name) and that will make he able to obtain a bunker+berserker comb just with press F1 when need to defend or attack. And he will be able to mix different kind of utility, elite and healing skill in zero time. Think about that: are you a revenant with low hp? Use your healing skill, then press F1 and REUSE your healing skill, because you will botain a New Healing skill that you’ve not already used. If you can use 2 healing skills combined you can be better than any other profession. Expecially if they make a spirit that give healing-based utility skills. You will be able to bunker and heal or to zerg and heal so easy that no one will be able to kill you.

2) For tha little amount of skills that I’ve already seen I can say that Revenant will be OP. Look at it’s mace+axe skills! In one skill make a firefield, with the other blast it 3 TIMES!!! It’s 9 stack of myght, bro! And if you see the cooldown a revenant can do that every 8 seconds! 9 stack of might every 8 seconds! Without any other sigil, rune or trait! In just 2 skills that deal both direct and condition damage!

No… Revenant will not be OP…

Any nuanced PvP builds?

The warrior have 2 things:
1) Easy to play
2) Not easy to play

If you play the warrior you can see that it’s class machainc is easy, more easy than all the other classes in the game (only ranger maybe…) and that make the warrior easy to play.
But that make also the warrior easy to kill.

That’s because it’s so predictable that everyone looking at you can know what’s your next skill and evade/block/blind/stun you, killing you easy.

If you have bow everyone know that when you swap the first skill can be Eviscerate if you play axe or Eartshaker if you use Hammer. That’s because you use Intelligence sigil and that grant you a critical hit, or because you want to blast the firefield. That make you so predictable that only good players can play a warrior and kill someone that know a little how the warrior work.

I’m a good warrior player (7 mounth of axebow play) and I’ve a friend that every day try to kill me in 1vs1 with he’s ele, thief, necro, ranger and guardian and fail with every class. if he find a common warrior he kill them easy. But I know my class and the other classes so well that I know when use my skills and when not.

That can be a easy thing, but when your strategy is a 50% passive skills, you have to be Very good to active your 3 skills that make you live or die.
Warrior is a class that need a good player to be used right, expecially against good players. That’s because warrior’s dps in spvp is very low.
Example: Eviscerate deal 6-8k every 8 seconds but you need to wait the right moment, need to block/stun your enemy, etc, the you can hit your enemy with eviscerate every 11 sec, more or less. Then a warrior haven’t other good damage skills. That’s because your autoattack is a melee skill and the enemy don’t stay near to you waiting your damage. Then you need to swap to Lb, to proc Intelligence sigil for a new (extremely predictable) eviscerate critical hit. With a LB your direct damage is low and you can deal some burn damage. But you can’t active your F1 skill because the firefield deal damage and waste Intelligence signet effect, reducing the damage of your Eviscerate, your only damage skill. In that 8-10 sec you can deal.. 5-8k of damage. Then you need to find another moment to active eviscerate when the enemy don’t move/evade/block or is invulnerable to your damage (so many classes can be invulnerable to your damage for X seconds).
That make you able to deal more or less 16k of damage every 8-10 secods.

I’ve a friend that play Mesmer and can deal 18k damage to a berserker class in 4-5 seconds. And if the enemy block one of it’s skills he don’t lose the 50% of the damage but only 1-2k.

Everyone say that the Axebow deal more damage than other classes, but that’s not right. Every class can deal so much more damage than a warrior. The warrior can only do high damage in a single skill every 8+ sec if use axe or 15+ sec if use the sword (and only if the enemy is below 50% hp).

The warrior is easy to play but kill a good player with a warrior isn’t so easy because the warrior have low dps compared on other classes, have a healing skill that can’t save you if the enemy use a good dps build and if the enemy survive more than 8-10 sec you lose all your defensive skills (berserker stance, balanced stance and Endure Pain (2x with trait) and you’re vulnerable to every single enemy attacks without a defensive chance more than a shield (3 sec) or your 2 dodge. If your enemy know that he can just wait, survive 10 seconds after you active your skills and then kill you easy.

The warrior is good. Very good. But only in team fights as a supporter with CC or shouts/warhorn heal and cleans. And not against a good player.

Actually, if you play in dungeon it’s the best class ever.
In www have a place to heal, clean conditions and revive (a good support class, but if you like to hit the enemy that’s not your role… I’m sad…).
In spvp is better try to play engi or ele. Seriously. You can help your team with CC or clean condition + heal, but if you want to kill someone in 1vs1 you have to be a very experienced warrior, expecially with the recent meta class/build. And if you try to fight in 1vs1 tournaments with 1vs1 roles (obliviously not the “official” roles for the game but the “1vs1” roles, it’s better if you play engi, ele or mesmer… seriously).

Then…
I like my warrior so much that I think that I will keep it after the HOT expension release. But I also want to take a look over the Revenant.

If the Revenant will fit the “warrior” role better than the warrior (that because the Revenant will be obliviously the best class ever for everything because ANet can’t add a bad class in the game and need to make it a little stronger than the others to be the Big One New Thing of Heart of Thorns expansion) I can think about a reroll.
But all depend in what Revenant Can and Can’t Do.

For WWW I’ve already switched into Necro because it’s the best dps of the www builds.
But in pve and tspvp I play warrior.

PvE exp or Dungeon: Berserker equip with GS and axe/mace, something like 0/4/4/0/6 to have always adrenaline, obtain might with GS and clean conditions with Cleansing Ire.

WWW: you can use somwthing like 0/0/6/4/4 or 0/0/6/6/2 half soldier half berserker with sword/warhorn with the trait that clean conditions with the warhorn. If you use 6 in Tactics you can use Shouts to AoE heal, clean conditions with the runes of the trooper and obtain adrenaline with the trait IV in Discipline.

In www you can also be a roamer with a berserker build, sword/warhorn and GS, but I don’t know the build.

In TsPvP there’s some builds that work, expecially 3: Soutbow, Hammerbow and Axebow, all in Celestial (or soldier if you prefer). The first 2 provide support with Heal/condi clear or with CC skills, the other one is good to deal damage with Eviscerate. The axebow is hard to play against expert players because your dps is lower than the dps of the other classes and you need to take down your enemy faster with a single damage skill (Eviscerate). Frequently in team fight you are the one that kill the enemy when it’s at 50% hp or less because your eviscerate can hit for 7k in celestial and for 9k in berserker (with a lot of might and against berserker builds), that make axebow a class that play sometimes “like a thief” because the thiefs also have the role to kill the enemy when it’s with low hp and then turm back in defensive or safe places.

Banners and Specialization

I’ve thinket that: why don’t let them like they are now but change only when you pick up them?

What if your banner come to be a Offhand Weapon when you pick it up?

That make 1H builds more viable (expecially in pve where you see only GS users) and at the same time don’t make it too easy to use (because a costant buff of 150 in 2 stats that don’t stack with the other boons is a very powerfull buff).

It can be something like:

skill 4: the banner skill 2 (as well the same that you’ve write)

skill 5: the banner skill 3 (swiftness)

And when you switch your weapon you drop the banner.

I think that it can change the use of banners and don’t be too powerfull like a “always with you” skill.

It can be used with GS to proc critical hits on 100Blades and with sword/axe to obtain adrenaline from Axe skill 5.

But it’s not the best trait you can use. Actually Burst Mastery is the best choice we have to keep our adrenaline always up.

But it can work. Try it and then report to us :-)

Sword is the condition melee weapon of the warrior and it’s made to proc bleed with critical hit, then a 10% of critical rate is good.
Then, we can also say that GS have damage increase, cooldown reduction and might on critical hit…

But there’s not all that need of sword cd reduction.

How do you fight Mesmers / Thiefs?

If the thief is good and focused in hide and berserker Dagger damage… you have not so much to do and all you can do is devend yourself and attack when you see he.

I use the axebow build but if I find a good thief I can’t kill him because I can’t see him or because he have so much blind, evade and hide that I miss all my eviscerate and power attacks and he kill me before my Burn do something.

To fight thiefs and mesmers the best is the Hammerbow, that grant you good AoE damage skill, hitting the thief while in hide and destroyng the illusions and hitting the real mesmer with the hammer stun.

i do not like the daily system

You can get some daily during the match like player kill, defender and cunquer. The only daily that need you to stay till the end of the match is the “win with X class” daily. For all the other daily there’s no need to stay till the end of the match. Expecially if you’re losing and that happen frequently if you play adn you’re not good to play that class.

For example today I’ve find a large amount od bad necro and very bad thief noob daily players XD

Then, that increase only the number of players but if they’re not in game you’re still able to find bad players with bad builds everywhere.

I’ve levelled my warrior with a S/S Condition build and it’s funny. I like the condition damage. But Gs/Axe+X deal more damage.
You can try and see what’s more funny for you.
Don’t think about how faster you can level up with a weapon, think about what weapon make you happy to play your warrior!

It’s my warrior build. You can obtain a lot of might from your enemy instead of blasting your Firefield all the time (but a blast with Arcing Arrow is always good) by block your enemy attacks with shield (expecially good against fast attackers, like thief, ele, guardian classes) and when your enemy block you (good against other warriors with shield, guardians, engi, etc).
Cleansing Ire is a Must because grant you the only good condi removal skill that you can obtain.
6 points in Discipline Line grant you good critical damage and to have always your Adrenaline UP. With that you can active your eviscerate every 7.5 seconds with no problems.

Then, Eviscerate can deal 7k or more damage against a berserker build. And you deal Always a Critical Hit if you use it after the Weapon Swap.
To be more effective with that, use Pin Down of LB to immobilize our enemy or Shield Bash shield to stun the enemy before active Eviscerate (immobilized or stunned enemy can’t evade your eviscerate).

If all that don’t make the Axe a very good dps weapon, change weapons and try a GS.

The same rotation of the Axe (LB → Axe+intelligence → Shield Bash → Eviscerate) can be done with Final Thrust of the Sword, if you prefer the sword, but Axe is a better dps weapon.

Warrior Sword/Shield Build

I play as Warrior in full celestial and it’s a funny build. I play sword/axe + Longbow. A lot of conditions, good direct damage. Expecially condition damage, but I can always do good direct damage with critical hits (and 200% critical damage help a lot).

It’s a funny build, not the meta, not the powerfull, but still a good build do play with friends.

In www I run shield to be more defensive and stances in zerg to survive better.
The firefield is very good for allyes to blast might in zerg and deal good damage to your enemy with burning. Pin Down and sword F1 can hold your enemy in place, making him killed by your zerg easy.

There’s some little builds that go out of “meta” builds and work, but just little ones and frequently only in low rank fights.
In high rank teams, a good engi can kill 2 enemy at the same time, the same about ele. But in low rank team, a engi can kill 1 enemy and try to kill 2 if they’re noobs, and a ele can fight good in 1vs1 but no more.

But if you really like to play in your way… you can do it. But you die quickly…

Dual Mace Build

1) Rune of Impact don’t stack… if you have one you don’t need another one on the same set. But you don’t need it anyway. You can prefer to use sigil of force, that grant you 5% damage all the time.
That’s because your enemy don’t stay all the time stunned and with a build like that you can active your F1 every… 15 sec? You have nothing to obtain adrenaline (cleansing ire and berserker stance, for example), then your +10% damage will be useless.
Expecially because if the enemy have stability or a breakstun all your strategy fall.

2) If you can’t clean conditions is a big problem, expecially in spvp where condition is the actual meta. 25% of condi reduction time is good but not enough. I die of condition and I’ve 10 sec of condi invulnerability and clean condition with F1 every 7.5 sec.

3) dual wield agility is bad in spvp. You can find a lot of better traits in every other trait line. jyst because you hit is slow with a mace and it’s a melee weapon, then you don’t feel the difference with or without this trait.

It’s true. because if you find a good engi or ele is actually the big meta classes, expecially in 1vs1, and you can’t kill them easy (and sometimes you just can’t kill them).
But when you see that there’s some classes that can be superior to others but that they’re really hard to play and a mass of noobs use it only to do the daily and they die quickly against everyone… you know that they’re not really OP.

I play cele warrior from long time and I’ve try to use the shoutbow build.
it’s good to support, ok, but if you fight in 1vs1 if your enemy know a little how to play you can’t win. That’s why it’s a Team Based Build.
A Bunker Banner build can be more tanky and deal more CC and damage.

if the problem is that you don’t know how to fight a soutbow, try to use one and then you can find how it can be easy to play and how it can be useless in 1vs1 or 2vs2 fights.

ENDURE PAIN vs THIEF

It’s only me or sometime the Endure Pain don’t block damage?
Today I’ve fight another thief and before he skill with he’s backstab I’ve used EP. But it don’t work and I’m been downed anyway…
That happens sometimes, against different classes.
It’s not condition damage (sometime it is, but it’s not that the situation).

Have you find the same bug sometimes?

It don’t happen frequently to me, only some times.

Rifle for Warrior needs buffing!

Rifle is the direct damage ranged weapon, the longbow is the condition one.
Rifle can do 7k of damage to a heavy armored dummie just with F1 skill, a longbow can’t do something like that.
With a rifle you can oneshot a light armor user in www… that’s all.

If you want to be a condition damage you can try to use scepter/dagger(or focus) and staff, then use Fear on all the ways you can. (condition damage increase the traited fear damage).

But actually in www the necro have another role: the Cannon!
With a Power build like 6/2/0/0/6 and a zerk equipment (with valkyrie, knight or soldier armor if you want more defence. I sue valkyrie) with Staff and Axe/X.
Then you have to full your DS bar, then when you go in DS you crit with every hit (80% or more critical rate) with a piercing shot for 4k of damage.
About rune, you can use Strength, Pact, Hoelbrak, Rage (depending on how much you can spend).
About sigil you can use Fire, Air, Energy, etc depending on what you want to do (I use fire and air to increase the damage).
Heal skill: Consume Conditions
Utility skills: Well of Corruption, Well of Suffering and a utility at your choice.

I think that you can find that build on Metabattle.

That’s a very good build and make you able to deal very high damage. But you’re a backline player, if you go in the frontline you fall quickly.

Actually I play a power necromancer in www and pve. ant it’s more boring than a warrior because you have not to swap your weapons.
In pve you have your axe or your dagger and you need only skill 1 (and if with dagger skill 2), your utilities never changes: blood is power-well-well —- blood is power-well-well… never change.

The warrior is easy to play but it’s hard to be a good warrior.
If it’s easy to use it’s skills because they’re almost all in a passive way, it’s hard to play against all the other classes that have always some active skills that change all your strategy every moment.

It’s more easy to find a good engi (expecially with the new OP builds) than a good warior.

You can’t pretend that ANet can do something about how good the other players are to play, making your match more balanced.
ANet can only match up you with other random guys with unranked or ranked arena.

If you find a enemy team with one that don’t know how to play at best it’s class it’s easy to win, the same for your enemy if in your team there’s someone not good to play.

That’s not a ANet problem at all.

Warrior is god in pve, spvp and www.
In pve and dungeon everyone wanti you to play as a berserker with GS and axe, granting banners and a lot of might. The warrior’s dps is one of the highest of the game, that’s why everyone want you to only be a dps class, no more.
In www the current meta is Sword/Warhorn + Hammer build with shouts. That grant condi removal, heal, AoE swiftness and CC skills with hammer. But you can also play semi-berserker with GS and Axe/Shield, with incredible burst damage on eviscerate (you can one-shot a zerk thief XD).
In sPvP the meta is almost the same, but with Longbow to obtain might with the firefield and deal pressure damage with burn. Hammer/longbow is one of the best builds, also Shoutbow can be very good (the same as www but with longbow) and if you want you can try axe/shield + LB to fight with eviscerate.

All that builds work very well, deal high damage, have high mobility and/or survavibility.

Warrior is very good atm.

for the party a necro can give vulnerability stack on the enemy, remove conditions (plaguesignet and DS if traited with unholy martyr -blood magic line), heal allies with life transfer (blood magic line – Transfusion), AoE stability and condi removal with Well of Power.
A necro can’t gie might but a necro can clean all your conditions and give you a lot of heal. And give high damage in direct damage berserker equipment.
Condition damage is good, but you need to be the only one that apply it. If you have one or more player that do bleed but play in berserker they steal bleed stacks to your necro condi build and reduce it’s damage.
But condition damage is good. not good as a direct damage, but grant you high damage and high survavibility.

The problem now is: your friend want to change all it’s build and play in direct damage zerk mode?

As a support oriented build, necro can: Heal nearby allies with life transfert, give AoE stability and convert allies conditions into boons with well of power, clean conditions on allies at regular time with plague signe, clean conditions on allies (always taking it on you) with Unholu martyr trait when you are in DS and revive allies with signet of undead.

If you really want you can do something for your team, expecially about conditions.

Then, in PvE a direct damage necro can deal very high damage. Full berserker in DS with 80-100% critical chance is a very good dps, more good than other classes (and live longer than almost all the other classes in dps builds).
If you play a condi necro you can’t be the best in pve because pve have some structural problems that make your conditions useless (enemy stack of bleed can’t go over 25, even against world bosses, or if you burn you enemy you can wait 10 sec before you see your burn damage, the same about poison) but if you play a direct damage build your damage isn’t lesser than a ele, a ranger or a warrior dps.
In WvsWvsW, Necromancer is the main source of damage for well organized groups, can hit 5 enemy for 4k of damage every sec, 5k with lich form.
In sPvP a good necro can hit you very hard, can cancel enemy boons and allies conditions, use a lot of fear skills and full you of conditions in a sec.

Necromancer is a very good class atm and if nobody want you in a dungeon is only because they’re all noobs that think that a necro is only good to do condition damage.
