I play necro valkyrie/berserker in pve.
I can help my team taking away allies conditions , with the signet that ress up 3 allies, and if I use the new healing skill all my allies can heal by hitting the marked enemy.
It’s not a support class and it’s not good at all to blast fields. But you survive longer than all the other zerk builds and can deal a large amount of damage with DS auto attack.
No one think that the necro is a very good dps class. Everyone think at the necro like at the condition class. But in dps mode you can deal more damage than a common warrior with your DS.
I use a valkyrie armor + berserker weapons and trinkets. Then traits 6/2/0/0/6 and play almost all the time in Death Shround. I can hot 4-7k of damage with 75% critical chance.
Necro zerk can be a very powerfull dps and you survive longer than other classes because you can use DS to evade the death.
Necro can be a very good class in condition damage and in direct damage. But don’t mix them both or you will not be able to deal damage.
If they add a new weapon it can be a polearm, a staff or a dagger.
I hope the polearm because it’s my favorite weapon but you can’t see it because you can use it only underwater. It can grant AoE damage skills and movement skills. A frontline build with a polearm can be very good -

Dagger can be ok as main and/or offhand. A warrior with faster attack speed than ever, or with a good condition damage weapon different than Sword. Also a little hide can be very good. Hide+Eviscerate can be… :Q____
The staff can be the ANet choice and give the warrior a “monk” look, very good for the new Chinese target.
Every class or build have some other classes or builds that can’t defeat.
Don’t cry and kill all the other players.
For www the top in zerg is sword/horn and Hammer, armor Soldier and Berserker trinkets, traits 0/0/4/6/4 with shouts that heal (and balance stance for stability) rune of trooper to clean conditions with shouts.
But there’s other builds for www. Gs, axe/shield, rifle, with AoE CC, etc.
If you find a build that you feel good play that build.
I play axe/bow build and it’s a very good class. Good dps, good defence. Actually everyone know how to counter a warrior, that’s why if you try to play warrior but you’re not a experienced warrior (expecially in spvp) you can have some toubles.
The OP class of the moment is the engi if you play a direct damage class and the ele if you play a condition class, because they can counter easy the opposite kind of builds/damage (ele clean off condition every second and have a lot of self-heal skills and the engi can obtain immunity, swiftness and protection, CC skills that make a direct damage class find hard to kill one (expecially because almost all dps class use melee weapons).
The warrior is well balanced. I can kill a lot of enemy but I can’t kill some builds (and engi).
With my axebow I’f done 8k of damage to an ele and1200 to a guardian, there’s a lot of situations where you can find a enemy easy to kill or hard to kill. It’s not all based on the class, but on the build you use and the enemy you find.
I would like to see the Polearm out of water. AoE weapon with longer/bigger range than others (like 180-200 istead of 130, just for fun).
Os the staff to fight as a martial weapon (for example the Mesmer use the GS as a magical weapon!).
Comparing Thief and Warrior is like compare a cannon and a gatling.
- Warrior can charge up and use Adrenaline skills or reduce the enemy defence then use FT to deal high damage, but they need to fight a lot to obtain that damage (to build up adrenaline or to reduce enemy hp), and the attack speed of a warrior is slow and easy to evade/block/blind/interrupt. But when a warrior hit the damage is huge.
- Thief need to stealth to backstab the enemy but a thief can start the fight in stealth and have a lot of skills that hide the thief, making him able to backstab the enemy another time quickly. Thief BS is hard to block/evade/blind/interrupt because you don’t see the thief, it’s attack speed is istant and after the first hit a thief can turn hide istant (or after few seconds). Thief can perform a very high dps, mucjh more than a warrior, expecially in spvp, because it’s unpredictable, quickly, with no cooldown and have traits that grant them to backstab with 100% chance to critical hit (a warrior to crit with Eviscerate or FT need to use the signet of intelligence and swap weapon or hope that it’s skill deal a critical hit).
I’m playing a warrior with axe/shield and LB and trust me when I say that theres some thiefs that deal me more than 10k of damage in 4 seconds and that I can’t hit them ’cause of blind, hide and dodge.
If you go to see the damage of a single skill you’re not able to see how powerful that skill or that class is. You need also to see the delay of the skill, the chance to hit/miss, how fast is and how many attacks you can perform in 5 sec.
A warrior from the start of a fight need 10 sec (more or less) to perform Eviscerate and much more to deal high damage with Final Thrust. A thief don’t need more than 1 sec to perform it’s backstab and can do it easy every x sec, and have a lot of very good damage skills activable during the wait for the hide. After using Eviscerate or FT a warrior can’t deal all that damage that a thief can, expecially agasint a thief, and need to wait for the cooldown of the skill or/and untill it’s Adrenaline is at it’s top to active it’s powerful skill.
Sometime, if the enemy move to me, I miss Eviscerate because the enemy come close to me…
I quote Theloseronian. Reduce the CD of The Stance is a bad Idea because you can’t always figure out all the buffs of your enemy. I’ve find one time a warrior using that skill, but when you see that it’s too late, expecially in spvp on the mid, where almost all the damage is AoE. And it’s a skill that grant you all the healing that you want, if the enemy don’t stop to attack. You can reacharge 20k hp in 3 sec. Isn’t that enough? It’s like 570 hps!
Then, there’s the ability of the player to know when use it. Just like the Guardian healing Shelter, that is a bad healing skill (only 4.5k) but you can block a large amount of damage. And that skill not only block your enemy attack: that skill convert your enemy damage in HP!!
And Shelter, the best healing skill for a guardian in spvp, have a CD of 30 sec and last for 2. But Defiant Stance have a CD of only 5 sec more and last for 3 sec.
I think that the only thing they can do is increase the healing power of Mending and change Healing Surge in something like:
Heal for 8k if no adrenaline, 7k if 1 bar, 6k if 2 bar and 5k if 3 bar and give 30 adrenaline. In that way you can use it properly to obtain Adrenaline and high amount of heal. But you’re not always at 0 of ASdrenaline, expecially with the last builds for spvp.
That can be a good new.
Shield can be good against some big enemy during the story (a boss or some undead army). I’ve leveled up with sword+shield, but just for fun.
That’s because in exploring you don’t need to preotect: you need to kill your enemy.
The best for exp is Axe/X (Mace can be good, for 10 Vulnerability and AoE knockdown, expecially in dungeon [axe skill 2 + mace skill 4 + on my mark = 24 stack of vulnerability]) or Greatsword for 100Blades and Whirl (and mobility to move around the map).
If you like to go a little ranged you can use a rifle or a longbow. Rifle for direct damage, longbow for condition and firefield (might), but in exp or World Boss I prefer Rifle (better direct damage).
I had fun with sword because of Bleed and condition damage, but to level fast a direct damage is better.
Try your weapons and play like you want. In that game you can level up fast, then chose the play style that make you like that class and play :-)
Offhand Axe can be good for the skill 4 that give you fury (and a good damage) and the skill 5 that don’t deal the damage of autoattack (but in spvp it’s been powered up) but hit 15 times, granting you all the Adrenaline you want and it’s a AoE attack with combo finisher, that always can be good.
I have try offAxe in spvp and it work, expecially because no one know how to fight, and the enemy flee when see you roll around wirling XD
And the damage is really good. In spvp with a berserker build skill 5 power is 4k AoE with mobility.
Then, for pve the best weapons can be GS + Axe/Mace, then in spvp you need LB + Hammer/AxeShield(or offaxe if you want to try) or other weapons based on your build. Sword/Warhorn for shouting healing spec (actually used not only in www but also in spvp, but i don’t know why), sword/sword for condition damage, mace/mace(or shield) for bunker or particular condition build that focus on Confusion by interrupt the enemy skills. Or someone use Greatsword in spvp for 100B, using Bolas or Rush to hold the enemy in place while they hit with GS, but at the second time you see the warrior it’s easy to evade.
Thief have good chances to do high damage, but it’s best isn’t in the single skill damage (but Backstab hurt!), it’s best is in the number of attacks that you can perform while the enemy can’t see/hit you by hide, blind and evade. There’s a lot of theif that make me a lot of problems because I can’t hit them, I can’t see them, I can’t fight them.
A thief that don’t use hide and blind is easy for me to kill (but that’s for every class, I think), but a good thief that know how to hide and attack, evading all my skills, is a finger in the a***.
As the same way I focus on Adrenaline and F1 skills to kill my enemy, using my class mechanics, if a Thief use it’s hide he can kill/survive everything.
I use a Celestial warrior with axe/X and with Eviscerate (but traited, then it’s a little more good than FT) I can deal 7k+ damage to berserker enemy like some mesmers and thiefs. I can deal 8k+ to them if I use berserker Amulet.
But you need to see that: with the same berserker equip a Warrior’s FT have 2200 of skill power, but you need to take the enemy under 50% HP have 3/4 sec of casting, 130 of range (you move and the warrior miss) and 15 sec of cooldown, and if you use Eviscerate (almost same skill power) you need to full 3 bars of Adrenaline to use it (same skill casting but more range and lesser cooldown).
A thief’s Backstab have 1800 of skill power that you do with 1/4 sec casting ( it’s = no casting, then you don’t miss the enemy) and you have not delay, you can use it every time you hide, then you can do it twice in 1.x second (backstab – cloack and dagger – backstab) and the enemy can’t see you when you use Backstab!
Because if the enemy see you use FT or Eviscerate he just evade, block, blind or knock you and all your damage is gone. But if the enemy can’t see you he can’t block you.
And a Thief can use Backstab when he want without problems, but a warrior need 3 bars of Adrenaline or need to take down the enemy healt to perform that damage.
Then, the high damage is also granted by the large amount of Might that a warrior can stack (expecially with some builds).
I’ve find some bunker classes that make me cry with my little 1000 of Eviscerate Critical hit (with always a lot of might on).
Final truth is also a powerfull skill on a Condition Damage Weapon. The warrior need to be a Condition Damage Dealer to reduce your HP to 50% and use FT and that make they’re other damage skills lesser good to fight you. Because ok, they deal 6k with FT but also they deal 400 with the auto attack…
Actually a warrior to fight someone in sPvP can Only fight with Bust Skills like Eviscerate, Final Thrust (or 100Blades in some builds). If he don’t do that he can only try to use the Hammer to make you unable to fight then, but if you evade 3 attacks you can kill them easy.
To level fast use always equip with Power and Precision, to increase your damage, something like berserker, knight or at last soldier (pow, tough, vit). About weapons you can use Greatsword and Axe/X
I’ve leveled with Condition damage equip and build but just for fun. If you want to level up fast use GS and Axe. (if you need defence you can use a shield, or Mace to a knockdown, and for add damage you can use a offhand axe, useful with it’s skill 5 to deal damage and recharge adrenaline fast.
How can a class have all that quickly AoE skills?
Engi can obtain so much AoE that make him able to fight 2-3 enemy at once only using AoE. In team fight that become a real problem because when all the classes have some AoE skill, the engi can obtain that ALL his skills deal AoE damage! A engi don’t need to have a target because he can skill everywhere hitting all the enemy he want whit granades, inflicting all the damage he want from 900 of distance.
Can’t ANet do something about that? Increase the casting time of granades (removing the effect from the GM trait for example) and reducing the range distance?
How can a engi have the same attack range of a pistol using the granades? Why don’t reduce the range to 600, like the Necro skill? That can help, making the engi not able to fire granades from “safe points” and making him forced to enter the war field to throw granades.
Actually, the amount of AoE skills of the game is making all the classes that can deal AoE damage more powerfull than the classes that can not (or only with few skills)

If you learn how to swap weapons in combat and when use your eviscerate, you can kill almost every ele, warriors, thief and rangers you find. Necro, engi, dps guardian, some ranger builds and thief builds and mesmers can be unkillable by this spec or hard to fight, but if you do a lot of practice you can do greath things.
I’ve try almost all offhand weapons and I use Axe because of it’s skill 5 (with increase damage in spvp), good because if you don’t use Eviscerate you have not a “powerful” damage skill on that class, exept for 100B and Rifle skill 3, both useless in spvp. And is good against thiefs and to rebuild Adrenaline.
But you can chose different offhand weapons like shield to be more bunker or Mace to obtain an AoE knock down skill.
I don’t use Bull charge because of it’s long CD, at last I can prefer Bolas, that Immobilize your enemy, making it more vulnerable to your Eviscerate.
Because that build is All about Eviscerate.
If you want to play condi, Necro, Engi, Ranger can be better. But Warrior can still be a good CDD. You can try to use a Sword-Sword / Longbow build, something like that:

Your damage is based on bleed and Burn, with Poison by sigil. But you can try to use a more defensive build, something like 0/2/6/6/0 with banners that give you regen and Celestial. With that you can also use Banner of Strength and Empowering Allies to increase condi damage by 170 and power by 320, obtaining 900 condition damage (with carrion you have 1200, but 900 can be good) and 2000 of Power, and a lot of Healing power and Healing Regenration sources (signet, trait and regen = 500-800 heal x second).
Or you can try to use a Mace in main weapon, obtaining a Stun and another Block, with that you can be more tank-like and use your adrenaline to burn your enemy then block they’re attacks and stun them while they slowly die.
But if you really like condition damage another class is better XD (expecially necro, engi and ranger)

There’s a balance between some classes that not everyone see.
For example: ele actually is powerfull because everyone use conditions and ele can clean of condition easy, very easy. But I play a warrior and I can kill a ele easy with dps and a little of pressure by CC or AoE. Engi can obtain protect very easy by turrets and traits and is hard to kill by a direct damage dealer because have a lot of condition, and CC skills, but my friend play a necro and kill every engi he find on his way with not all that problems that I have with my warrior.
There’s a balance over the classes.
The current meta make some classes be more counter-like, but there’s situations, classes and builds that can make you kill that enemy “easy”.
The big problem is the AoE of this game, AoE that engi and ele can use with a large amount of skills. Ele with staff can spam AoE all the time or a DD can obtain some AoE by dagger (earth skill 5 for example). Engi can throw granades all the time in AoE mode, hitting all his enemy at once, or hit multiple enemy with turrets.
But there’s other classes that can obtain AoE skills.
Actually there’s not a problem of balance, there’s a problem of AoE. And to fix that ANet need to make a big rework over all classes… a rework that you will never see.
A 15+ sec hide thief that say that wait for 3 sec a ranger in hide is too much… lol

I’ve do a lot of sPvP this week, but I’ve see today something strange.
I’m fighting a guardian in group, but after one moment I see another guardian with the same name fighting against me with a scepter, using all the guardian scepter skills, and the other guardian fight with the GS…
In the screen it’s the player called Elder Cold and you can see that there’s 2 Elder Cold in the image (one is disappearing like a mesmer skill, but it fight like a guardian for 30+ sec).
I don’t know a mesmer skill that copy another character image and name or that grant to another one the ability to make a clone.
And I’ve look in the team and there’s only one guardian called Elder Cold and no one with a similar name.
I’ve not reopoter him in time why I’m fighting but I’ve take a screen to show that and ask if that is a issue (they have a mesmer in team) or a bug abuse or a hack skill.
Only the experience can make you able to learn some tricks. In pve you almost don’t need tricks, only some dodges, endure pain and a good dps build (GS + Axe/mace build can be good, fo example).
In www and spvp it’s only the experience that can teach you ho to use your skills against all the classes and builds.
Cleansing Ire is always a good trait to obtain and you can not be forced to use it only if you have a good team, if you’re in www zerk with a lot of guardians or you want to try the new Discipline Master Trait that clean a condition every time you swap weapons (1 every 5 sec), expecially if you add to it shake it off or the warhorn trait.
But Cleansing Ire is a very good way to clean conditions and obtain Adrenaline, that’s because 90% od PvP warriors use it.
In every situations (PvE and PvP) you need to obtain Adrenaline and recharge fast your bars to active your powerfull class skills (F1 skills).
In pve you can do that using the Axe trait on Discipline and with Cleansing Ire. In PvP you can combine the elite signet with cleansing ire and Berserker Stance. And if you want (expecially in www) you can use the axe trait with the axe skill 5 (in a zerg you hit hard and recharge 3 bars in 2 sec).
At last: in PvE you have to be a DPS, nothing more (and no one want a bunker warrior, only a fast killer), in WWW you can be a good support with healing shouts (traited) and cleaning warhorn (traited), or be a very good bunker, a 1shotkill with the Rifle F1 skill (expecially with berserker build), a condition class, a CC class with Phisical utility and Hammer (very good for zerg) or a hybrid (the warrior is a good and versatile class for www). At last in sPvP you can be what you want: dps, bunker, CC class, Condition class (very good with the last meta), Celestial.
But remember: if you play in sPvP you Need Always to use the Longbow! because of it’s very big Firefield (combo might and Burn) and because if you use Cleansing Ire you can clean 3 conditions, also if you don’t hit your enemy because it’s a Field Maker skill and if you make a Field the skill work, then the combo work. That’s because almost every warrior in spvp use longbow.
Then, there’s a lot of sites where you can find good builds for every role you want to play, in PvE (exping od Dungeons) or PvP (WWW and sPvP).

That build can work, yes. And if you’re good to make it work, why not use it?
I like who make a build by himself and make it work
With a riffle you can play in www using rifle trait and cleansing ire trait to increase quickly your adrenaline with multiple hit in the zerg, then take out your traited rifle and press F1, killing a lot of enemy in the line (traited rifle pierce targets!). But I’ve never try it.
With rifle as main weapon is hard to play in spvp because you need time to cast your F1 skill and it’s easy to block/blind/evade. But in www if you use stability no one can stop you or see you use it then no one can evade it ;…;
Rifle isn’t the best weapon for spvp, but you can try to make a build by your self, just for fun.
In www you can obtain better results.
They can allow you to obtain something like “if you use Banner of Strength you gain +170 of power and condi, and the enemy lose 50 of power and condi” but no more, not stackable and completely useless because they can’t le you obtain a similar OP ability (not for the warrior).
Actually the warrior is a good class. You can play different roles and use all the Utility skills that you want and they all work. You can be a mindless dps with all passive skills, or a buffer with banners and shouts. You can also be a healer with banners or shouts (expecially shuouts). You can be a the best bunker you can make with stances and banner’s regen. You can be a quick warrior with mobility and tactical skills like bolas (4 sec of immobilize), bull’s charge and fear, to be good to catch an enemy and to flee. You can make a unkillable berserker warrior with stance+phisical skills. You can make a CC class with hammer, mace, fear, knockdown and knockback utility skills. You can be a very good condition damage dealer class.
The warrior is the most complete class in the game. You can do everything with a warrior! (you can’t be the best healer, but you can be good to support in heal or buffs).
The Guardian can do a little more damage than a warrior, but only it it’s in the perfect way of the game, losing all it’s defensive/healing ability, with Aegis Always Up (or you lose 20% of the damage given by the trait). Then you become useless because you fall downed every 5 seconds against a good enemy. And you can’t play the top guardian dps build in pvp, where a warrior can deal it’s top damage without problems because can obtain 10 sec of immunity to direct and conditio damage and stability+swiftness (utility+trait).
The warrior is good like it is actually, but it’s only that everyone think that a warrior Must be a brainless dps class. But you can play it in every roles in a very good way.
There’s always some utility skills better than others. For example, Guardians can only use 2 of 5 of they’re utility skill type, because if you don’t play shouts or meditation you die istant and don’t deal damage, don’t grant support and don’t survive to nothing. Have you ever see guardian play SW, Consecration or Signet builds? You can see some consecration skills sometimes, but no more.
I think that the warrior is very good, actually. There’s some skills/traits that can be redesigned better, but the warrior is in a very good spot, actually.
To stack might you can do it with the LB F1 skill’s firefield +X Blast finisher skills (skill 3 of LB, skill 5 of warhorn, F1 of Hammer, summon a banner, etc) or use the utility that give 3 stack of might and fury.
But actually with the Adrenaline rework you can’t charge your adrenaline bars befor a fight, then you can do that conbo only when in fight.
If you want to build might stacks ask an ele to make some firefields and use all your blast finishers on it.

And don’t you obtained a new F1 skills that deal more damage than before?
Expecially in sPvP, there’s not a damage reduction.
There’s a littel bug on rush, I think, but the other skills works.
100B is one of the most powerfull skill of the Warrior and you can use it every 8 seconds, increasing you Adrenaline and dealing a large amount of damage.
I’ve find a warrior using Bolas utility skill. He immobilized me for 4 sec and hit me easy with 100B every 16/20 sec.
Add a Hammer that stun your enemy easy, immunity to direct and condition damage and you don’t need nothing more to kill all the enemy you want.
If you can use a stunbreak you can remove stun, or clean immobilize with a skill, and save for a X% of 100B damage, but you always take damabe befor you move out. Then the next bolas hit you and you take all the damage of the 100B, if you’ve not skills to remove immobilize.

GS grant you high mobility and you can obtain some skills to stun/immobilize your enemy. Then, use that F*** skills and don’t say that 100B is a bad skill in spvp.
I use Celestial, but everybody hates me >.<
I play sword/axe in full celestial, with banners. I can reach easy 2300-2500 of power, with a lot of hp, defence, good condition, support, etc. And deal all the direct and condition damage that I want.
But if you play PvE as a warrior you have to be a full dps class because no one want a condition damage dealer or a hybrid warrior in team.
Sword/Sword build is funny, I’ve used it to level up and it’s very good. But the problem is that no one want you in team. You can be good with that weapons only in sPvP, where condition damage is the best choice you have.
My warrior will kill you in 5 sec with 3 skills.

With mace, shield you can interrupt your enemy and inflict Confusion and when the enemy block your attack you can obtain might.
Retalation isn’t a good choice in a Condi-Build because Retalation’s damage depend on your Power.
I use a Celestial-Banner build, with sword/axe + longbow, but you can try a sword/shield + longbow build, according to obtain more defence. And Banner of Strength to increase your damage, lowered by celestial amulet.
You’ve missed Warrior’s banner regen!
Elementalist can do some waterfield+heal and blast that fields, obtaining a large amount of heal, yes. But during that you can stop the ele with some CC skills, use poison, or dps him, making all that skills only a aste of time.
Warrior can obtain a lot of good regeneration ability (3 different regeneration source) but that’s not the problem against a warrior. Good dps can kill a warrior, because the warrior Need to take time to heal, if he use the signet. If you focus in 2 over a war, he die quickly because he can’t use a healing skill.
If you strip away meditation heal from a guardian you make them good only to be bunkers, crushing all the ANet work to make the guardian a viable class. There’s a reason why if you don’t use a bunker build you NEED to use Meditations: Why in berserker you have 12k hp and no healing ability!!!
I’ve never had problems against Rangers why they’re Regen… really… you can say that they have too many ranged dps, minions, or other things, but not that they have all that regeneration power. Not more than all the other classes.
Yeah, the ranger can only play for 12 sec withour recive direct damage.
Then can swap in sword/dagger and dodge all your skills.
You can remove all your and allies conditions with a signet (your pet isn’t happy about this)
With the LB, you can go in hide. (and with the trait, reset your 100% critical rante +5 vulnerability bonus at the first skill)
You can set up traits that gives you endurance regeneration, protect, regen, vigor, stability, stealth, damage reduction by 50% (under 25%hp), remove conditions (by timing, dodging, or skill use)

The helm is a underwater mask (aviable by wardrobe magic), pants taken by Arah and gladiator shoulder (mid level karma point armor). The chest can be of priory or one of the 3 factions. Gloves from… AC…?
for dps in pve all you need is axe+mace because you can stach 8 vulnerability in 2 skills (10 of On My Mark!, if you want).
If you’re in a good team you can try to change the secondary weapon and use something like axeaxe (now the skill 5 give good damage, help to recharge adrenaline, expecially if traited, and can be good as a 15 hit finisher combo skill)
But the best is always axe+mace.
You can use shield in pve only in dungeons, if you want a little more survavibility. (fractal at high levels, for example)
With my warrior I can kill ele, necro and sometimes mesmers. Yes’ they’re hard to fight, but you can win. Not always, but you can win.
In 1vs1 the warrior is one of the best class of the game.
High damage, high hp, high toughness, virtual total immunity to direct damage, condition damage and CC skills for 10 sec, mobility, versatility.
What can you ask more???
Mesmer is a finger in the kitten , we all know, ele now is a good class and it’s hard to fight, and fight a necro is nice like a squirrel in your pants, but you can’t say that a warrir is a bad class only because can’t kill a mesmer.
And you can always try to change your build to find better ways to kill them!
If that hurts you, I can say that:
I use a celestial build with sword/axe and LB in pve and pvp. And in spvp I also use banners!

Risposte block only 1 attack in it’s duration, not every attacks. At the first attack that hit you you block it, then the skill end with the counter-attack.
I’ve try it sometimes, but if the enemy hit you melee you can counter attack, then you do it. If while you counterattack your enemy is away from your range you miss the hit.
I think the same is about ranged attacks: block the attack but don’t hit the enemy.
And if you’re fighting an enemy that hit you fast or you’re against a lot of enemy or in a zerg, you can combine that skill whit the trait that give you might on block. You can obtain 10+ might stack easy.
Or you can combine it with the trait that make you reflect enemy ranged attacks. (it’s very good against rangers!)
PvP Warrior is something like LB+X.
You can be a direct damage, a condition damage or a celestial build but you need always the LB. That’s why you can deal good direct damage, clean conditions easy whitout you need to hit your enemy, obtain the largest Fire Field of the game, that last for 9 seconds. Obtain might with blast skills. Deal Burn damage (is always a good damage) and you can fight ranged enemy whitout problems.
Then you can chose different weapons.
- Hammer, expecially for direct damage (Soldier or Berserker), that grant you some blasts for might, CC skills and good direct damage.
- Greatsword, that can be used in combo with bolas to deal very high damage, expecially in Berserker.
-Axe/Axe(or Shield) for Direct damage
- Sw/Sw, for condition damage or celestial
- Axe/Sw, for celestial or some condition damage builds
- Mace/Sw, for condition damage whit some stun skills.
-Sw/Axe, for celestial or condition
You can use all the weapons you want and be good, expeciallu with the LB as secondary weapon. But you can make different builds and use different mix of weapons.
Actually, there’s always more condition damage (or celestial) warrior with axe+sword and longbow.
For example, I use sword+axe in celestial with banners. it’s a personal build and work well, but isn’t the best. But when everyone cry for the lack of adrenaline I’ve not that problem because i can recharge it faster with Axe skill 5 (expecially if you combine it with the trait, gaining 2 adrenaline every critical).
I’ve also fight a berserker warrior with GS used in combo with Bolas. And it hurt XD
The difference between offhand sword and shiled block skill is that with sword you can block only one attack and with shield you can block all the enemy skills for 3 seconds.
That make the shield skill more good in defence than the sword block, because after the first skill you’re still vunlerable to enemy attacks.
But in PvE you don’t need defence, you need only huge dps and some stability and dodges. That’s why shield is used only in PvP.
A simple question: that person that can’t compete whit other players… is you?

However, your team and your enemy team has the same chance to find a n00b or more by it’s side.
If you’re luky you find lesser n00bs than your enemy team. That’s all.
When the match begin try to make a little strategy, ask what’s the build of your allies and if you need play a role that isn’t really your but that you can do better than another player of your team.
At last try to curse yout enemy team players whit some woodoo magic. I’t work, sometimes!
It can be a good build, for PvE. If you spent 4 trait point in Discipline you can obtain that every critical hit whit your axe give you 2 adrenaline. Whit your build that can grant you perma-Adrenaline. Whit 6 point spent in Discipline you can obtain a better Perma-Adrenaline, whit +7% damage on Eviscerate.
And the skill 5 of Axe can give a lot of damage, whit the boost of 17% from the last patch. and if well used in team you can fire 15 X bolts (fire bolts, weakness bolt, healing bolts, etc) and make a good combo.

Add to all that Some good traits to increase the power of the GS and gain might, use 100Blades combined whit Evisceraete and skill 5 of the Axe and you obtain a incredible amount of damage whit a simple weapon and skill rotation!
(GS 100Blades, swap, axe skill 5, Eviscerate, swap, 100Blades, swap…)
For dungeon that is one of the best combination, at the moment. Expeciallu from the “nerf” of Adrenaline.
You’ve only make the list of builds that you’re not able to kill and the list of builds that you’re able to kill.
And asking for nerfs because you have problems to fight against some builds.
We all have problems against some builds and classes, but whit the right build or/and teamwork you’re able to kill every enemy.
For example I play warrior in celestial whit a personal build (sword/axe + LB (but only because I use both direct damage and condition damage and rifle don’t give condition damage) and I can fight well against almost all the builds. Some builds kill me, some other can’t. That’s all.
in a pve axe+mace dps build, swapping with GS, you can add to that +5% a lot of other +X% of damage when… like +5% by dual wielding trait, or +10% whit GS trait, +10% if the enemy is bleeding, etc.
add to that trait other traits and you obtain a lot of free damage.
But all alone it’s a weak trait, yes.
