Sitkaz, Trahearne is a sylvari – they can’t be risen.
And Jennah won’t be killed – Doric’s blood flows in her veins – this blood is so powerful that she can dismiss Ghosts from Ascalon, she can link every bloodstone into one big and release its powers (probably so much power that she could defeat elder dragon herself).
Hovewer, Order of Whispers stated that Jennah probably isn’t the only one with Doric’s blood. – Although it may be hard to find the other person, and even harder to put him/her on the throne (with the ministers grasping for influence).
Also, treaty with charr will maintain with queen or not. Many people amongst charr and humans are now friends and I don’t think any orders will ever change that. It’s too late. :P
Sorry for my english, I’m not a native speaker. ;c
Don’t ruin my mad fantasy with facts!
(btw your English is fine)
A chance to see the whole flight (or skip it if you prefer) would actually be really cool.
I’m sure they won’t, but I’d have no problems if Traherne is assassinated or is sacrificed. :b
In the first expansion Trahearne is killed and rises up to be the next big bad. That’s why they tried so hard to make us dislike him now even though he’s supposedly good.
I find it really funny people blame Jennah for Logan running off. Dd she have to say “Only come if you don’t have anything really important going on like a dragon attack ok” for him to take the responsibility? :p
I don’t know if she’ll die but I think it’ll be exciting to find out since this update seems to be a big one event-wise.
Magitech armor on female humans has a big area cut out to show the thighs. I thought we moved past this sexism. Isn’t this the reddit-friendly, socially-aware MMO?
I understand. I don’t mind it but I did try it out with some pirate and temple trousers and both look good with it and keep the rest of the style, if you’d like another option.
Good recommendation. I’d like this.
I’m not sure if I’ve changed my playstyle or they changed the skill but this is happening to me more than it used to. Very annoying—I love rocket boots and I hope it’s fixed soon.
How great is the new medium armor for engineers? So great. I love the metal on the gloves and the back part of the shoulders gives me high hopes for future hobosack variety.
Come to Blacktide. We’ve been waking up the past few weeks and I think good things are to come. You won’t be bored.
Good! BT has some great fighters and a lot of spirit. I’ll be there.
It shouldn’t take weeks. Check in now and then until you see a blue mark on the map. It’s a commander. Follow the blue around the map, pretending to help, and you’ll get the things you need. You might even have some fun in the process.
I can see why people want wvw taken out of world exploration, but since I doubt they’ll do it, this is one possible solution.
I had this for days and days and today is the first time it’d let me log on (because I refuse to take off my authenticator.)
I remember the days of ‘the healer’. Fun times. You’d get the inevitable barrage of abuse when someone died because they ran out of range or round a corner.
Usual response was “Why are you abusing the only person in the group who can keep you alive?” They either left or went quiet.
As a healer, I always stuck with the main part of the group. If someone ran off to do their own thing, that was their lookout.
You were probably not cut out to be a healer then.
Tanks and healers, are the MMO player base that glue the ultra random DPS together. We accept the abuse and cat herding, but we also adore it in a weird way. We mold it into a functional system, for lack or a better term.
Why U hate us, A-net?
I hear what you’re saying, because I loved healing, but I’m also completely satisfied with the way GW2 is now. Sometimes I see someone screaming for a res and I think to myself, “Ahhh, I can ignore you.” Before I res them, yes, but at least I can ignore them, instead of being told I have to and then blamed because they stood in the fire for a second time and my res is now on cooldown and the tank died while I was getting the bloody hunter on his feet for the love of god you pulled the room take your pet of taaaunt…..!
Whew. Ahem. Sorry, got carried away with a flashback, there.
There used to be this terrible trinity class, called a healer! It ruined all games and all the people that played them are vicious ghouls!!1!
The other evil class was called a tank, he made the healer’s life easier and gave room for the DPS to work without being randomly pounded to death.
Those kittens! We will never have them getting up our nose here!
I used to be one of those evil healers… but from what I recall the tank was actually someone who’d run as far as possible away from me, then scream OMG HEALZZZZZ while the dps stood around comparing recount numbers…
I’m going to have to go ahead and agree with linguistically about agreeing with zinjin about agreeing with me, because it makes me giggle.
GW2 has spoiled me, that’s for sure. I can’t believe I used to see Wednesday as the day I had to start running LFRs to get gear to do real raids to get gear to do the next raid before the nerf and if I was lucky I could reforge by the weekend and don’t forget the dailies in the meantime. Argh.
I also like the dynamic combat, and it’s hard to believe I used to have a 20+ bar of different abilities, just to only use a few of them because “if you aren’t using the correct rotation your dps sucks.” Omg. I actually used to spend hours pressing the same keys in the same order to make imaginary numbers go up high enough so strangers didn’t yell at me. Seriously, what?
I haven’t seen anyone use the crafting stations and they seem totally out of place to me, so I understand that. I wouldn’t care if they left. I’d like to keep the TP agent though, as I use it often to grab a new sigil, or better armor/weapons for a leveling character, etc.
Most of Claw Island is accomplished by ignoring the mobs and going for the objective, be it Mira or the signal fire or whatever. If you very much enjoy fighting lots of undead, by all means fight away—Many people love the Claw Island battles and I hope they chime in with a better solution, but the only way I could do it was to ignore the undead, ignore my dying comrades, and skip to the end.
My first character was the only one I’ve played personal story through right to the very end. I appreciate a lot of the story writing throughout the game, but unfortunately the last missions in the personal story I don’t appreciate, so I don’t want to play them again. So my lore is that only one character (my first) was Trahearne’s commander, and the others decided to prioritize their other interests (usually the mist war) before they could become very important in the fight against Zaitan.
Situations that were settled before the teams played each other—eg. a player’s nationality, having the final the same day, etc—are suddenly called into question again because TP won? Even members of CC have been into this thread saying they were not tired from their previous matches, TP won fairly, etc.
It makes sense the organizers can learn and improve from the first professional tournament, and I’m sure they will. It does not make sense to stir up settled issues because someone’s unhappy about the outcome. Both teams played extremely well, and it was a great match-up. This thread is becoming disgusting.
I bought a Tybalt plush backpack. I had to put it on my Priory character, because it’d be weird wearing a plush backpack of your dead friend, but wearing one of the nice guy who sells apples in the market is just… somehow more normal. Anyway, the backpack makes me happy because I know in some personal stories he’s still alive.
I spend most of my time in wvw so ressing is tactical and important for the group to survive. I’ll nearly always res if possible, but there are a few exceptions. If taking myself out of the fight will give the enemy too much of an edge in my part of the battlefield, I have to consider that. If the arrow carts are all focused on you, sorry, but you’re going to stay dead. If the wp isn’t far and the battle could go either way, I think you should wp.
For pve champion fights, I’d res. I always appreciate it so I lead by example. I got my combat healer title after something like two weeks of playing this game. If everyone’s being really lazy, ehn, that sucks. I guess they don’t want to play with other people and don’t care if they’re ressed either. True pve I suppose.
Interesting about the previous matches CC had to play on the day being mentioned here a few times. In twitch chat most discussion was that CC would have an advantage playing after a winning streak, whereas TP would be starting cold. No idea if either theory holds water.
Anyway gg to both. It was a good show to watch.
This is interesting because it highlights one of the arguments against limiting populations even further. People claimed guilds would try to scare off pugs to make room for the people they want in the map. I guess those people had a valid point.
I would like it if wvw were about loyalty and treating each other well but that hasn’t been my overall experience so far.
This matchup is useless for BT server/ players. I login today again, only to see that we outnumbered all the day now.
We will be on place 3 here if we play wvsw or not play it at all.
I see so mutch enemy blobs, just zerging all points, that there is only 1 sugestion for ALL BT wvsw players:So my sugestion is to all BT players LEAVE wvsw.
Its a pointles fight, a waste of time here for us, so beter go tpvp, pve(pointles figts are just pointles/useless- so there is no reason to fight in this state
)
BB, and good luck for all who stay here
Naw, I’ll stay and fight. Because outnumbered means no repair bill, greater numbers doesn’t always mean more skill, it’s easy to kill players who run away, and it sounds like there’ll be one fewer person yelling “Omg we suck!” in map chat, so that’s an improvement too.
Your wife isn’t alone. It took me a long time to roll a light armor profession because of the starting armor, and when I showed a friend it actually turned them off playing the game at all. Unfortunately some people don’t have anyone to tell them there’s better stuff out there, and it also makes a statement about what the game WANTS you to see as light armor, ie. little frilly skirt with wedding garter.
Considering there’s a lot of non-ridiculous armor later on, I don’t know why this starting armor was chosen.
I think they just lose patience. As has been said, getting the tag doesn’t mean you’re a great leader or anything, or that you can keep your own morale while people yell at you or won’t do what you say, or blame you for everything. There are some great leaders and great commanders on the maps, but it takes some time to learn who. Some are best ignored (just like some “normal” players are best ignored too.)
Your post was deleted… did you log off because of the commander? If so I recommend logging back on, following someone else, or just generally leading by example that bad commanders don’t deserve the attention.
Aw, I thought this was going to be about searching for light/medium/heavy armor on the tp.
I haven’t had this problem but I hope you get people’s attention.
Ha ha I love it… I want to donate to the person who plays the imperial march in LA.
I would. I created a second asura because I love their animations, then realized I wanted my one to be unique. I’d also change one of my three humans to charr because I’ve since discovered charr are awesome.
“Have offensive racial, ethnic, national, or cultural connotations”
I think this is the problem. Though the name isn’t offensive, it certainly has offensive connotations. I understand your frustration though. I hope you get to enjoy the game with your new name, whatever it is.
It’s true GW2’s combat doesn’t cater to everyone. That’s ok though.
This was mentioned elsewhere and a dev said they knew and would fix it. Sorry I can’t find the link.
This sounds really neat. I’d like it to start easy but get very difficult slowly so a lot of people would participate. There could even be branching paths for people who are maybe better at types of jumps or types of traps, etc.
I rolled a thief because I’m trying all classes, and because I think it’s true you have to play something to understand it. I’ve found they’re not an “I win” button by any means. I’ve also found I still can’t read other thieves’ minds and know where they are in stealth just because I use it to, so that suggestion rarely helps. I’m still learning of course.
Basically they’re an anti-social class, able to roam better than others and survive in a non-supported non-supporting way that sets them apart from the others (in wvw anyway.) Stealth and thief gameplay is impossible to balance with the rest because it’s just so different than other classes’ gameplay. This isn’t to say it’s bad or should be removed, it’s just totally different. I’m not sure they’re meant to offer group value, as the OP puts it. It seems intended that they’re loners.
Off-peak capping hasn’t reached the point where it’s making people quit. But when other options in the market become available (ESO, CU), it will be a factor if people decide to change games.
It will definitely be a factor if the question is whether the game will even let them play when they’re available to play. If wvw shuts down at night and ESO is up, there’ll be no contest at all.
All the recent posts like this are why I tried to start an unofficial poll in the wvw forum subsection about people waving/avoiding combat in this jp: I’m very curious about the different habits on different servers, whether they play “honourably” or more cutthroat (without judgement either way, mind.) It’s here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/Obsidian-Sanctum-waving-poll if anyone feels like contributing.
It’s already been done. Here ya go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_or_Alive_Xtreme_Beach_Volleyball
Just make it so things give the same PPT they do now for the first hour after it’s been captured. The second hour it gives half. the third it gives 10%. The 4th and onward it gives 1%. Just something to slow things down some.
I liked this idea as I read it, but then I realized it’d completely wreck the point of trying to defend as we’ll as conquer. They’d have to consider if anyone was in the keep and active, too.
…that’s the oddest censor I’ve had yet. I can’t make the words appear even if I put a full stop and two line breaks between them.
lol, well it’s showing your bias a bit but it’ll do.
Anyway I’m not trying to draw out any particular opinion to judge or trakitten. I’m just curious what the trend is.
Sounds fun. I like jps but I’m useless at them, and this would help.
How much do people make in spvp? I’ve never tried it so I don’t know. It might have some bearing on your question.
I usually make a gold or so a day in wvw but I’m not sure what the difference is between how you and I play.
Just an informal poll: In the OS jumping puzzle, what do you do if an opposing player waves? Do you kill them, or wave back and let them go… or wave back and kill them?
Other answers acceptable also of course.
I’m from a low ranked EU server and I’m against the idea too, Benjifu. It isn’t just high ranked Americans saying no. It’s everyone who thinks we should be able to play anytime, not just prime time.
Wvw takes some skill and experience. The OP description is how I started playing it, but eventually you get to know which commanders are worth following, and what you can accomplish on your own or with a smaller group. You also learn how to rally a small group even outside your guild, and how to deal with or get away from that thief duo.
If wvw continued to always be that original way, I can see why it would be no fun. But the first time I defeated that duo, and the first time I got a small group together to take our own keep, and the first time we stood against a larger zerg and were triumphant… that feeling is why I love it and keep playing.
The reason people get emotional about this topic (which comes up a lot) is because it’s saying “my schedule is the right one, and everyone not on my schedule may not play.” It probably doesn’t seem that way from your perspective, but that’s what it amounts to.
There is something to this. I’ve had the lag follow me into pve. Sounds insane, but there it is. I’m not sure I’d believe me either.
Wait, you started this thread twice? Oh. Well ignore my other reply.
And yeah, if you don’t like kits don’t roll an engineer.
