Regardless, even if that scenario happened, would you really not be able to finish the raid with one person AFK? Certainly better than one ignoramus and 5 of his friends kicking you when the raid is 70% done so they could invite one of their guildies who just logged on.
The raids are supposed to be tuned to require 10 players who know their class, are swapping traits and playing at a generally high skill level. The reason raids aren’t getting a lfg section is because anet stated this isn’t something they’d expect people to be able to pick up 9 random players and complete. Losing a chunk of your group support or damage can make failure a much more realistic possibility here than dungeons/fractals. Unless it’s face roll, we’ll see when it’s released.

Because outfits don’t have stats and they stated that we can swap the stats of legendary armour, there is some hope.

The quote from a dev was you can’t hug the edge of boss areas/maybe the encounters to get ooc and swap things, but before encounters you will be able to adjust skills to match what comes next.

Lightning fields, on the move pulsing stealth. Seems like it could have uses for trash skips and swap it out for fights.
Overall all these DPS things are quite unrealistic, you have to apply some thought and kind of factor how it changes the situation. On Engi I’m often using various forms of CC (Blind/Immob mostly) and in doing so my DPS surely drops quite a bit. All these in a vacuum tests just show us the potential.
I found out recently that an engineer only needs like 80% rotational efficiency to beat thief dps, you can kitten kitten up and still be the best choice for encounters where you want stealth.
Maybe they just looked at ranger spec and decided to release it with raids so it got extra development time.

At the top he phases before you can get a 2nd freeze off, at the bottom you can just use aegis for the amount of time he isn’t frozen. Or bring out an earth ele.

If you want to compare support builds, just remove 25% from everyone else’s DPS and give it to the support warrior.

You can create infinite bombs at the bomb event though, and the damage scales with crit rate/dmg, possibly multipliers, solo war with signet precision could kill the spawners with 5 bombs. Also depended on how the downscaling got you, you could have up to 10 lvl difference which slowed it down.

Working on retal atm, cm whenever I have some time off to record all the enemies.
It means you have to work on fighting a champ and clearing the trash mobs with the activated traps. Why can’t you pick up the p2 end boss yet you can pick up its smaller pieces? Why was zhaitan one of the easiest fights in the game, how do arrows turn at right angles, why does my whirlwind lock me in place for a few seconds at the end of the animation, how is necro considered in a good place for raids with little to no group support? At this point I think we can safely say that whether or not something makes sense is a terrible measure for judging content, kind of like using Lorde to measure the length of… things….

Every time I try running FT juggernaut builds in PvP I always die in a few seconds and without doing much damage as I either get kited to death by ranged weapons or die to so much condi that I can’t cleanse it fast enough. How do you guys keep from getting manhandled when whipping out the FT?

To successfully avoid the web spray dodging once won’t be enough, she will keep tracking you as long as she doesn’t hit something, however If you block it, it will count as if she hit something and will keep spraying in the direction she was when you blocked, this way you can sidestep while blocking the first hit.
She tracks for the first 2 pulses, double dodge or use a multi block skill like riposte to block then break the skill and attack for the rest of the pulses.
I haven’t fought mossman in the water in weeks, only had to leave 1 party. Maybe search for parties with more restrictive descriptions? Ask for specific defensive/offensive mechanics to be brought? Search for people who know the value of having food/utility consumables on(preferably not mf food). Ie. “50; projectile defenses, offensive group buffs and food&utility consumables required”

No its not. He doesn’t go into stealth underwater. On land his stealth drops your DPS significantly.
Good thing all of the highest dps classes use cleave or aoe. If you’re even feeling particularly kitten you can still strip defiance and freeze while he’s stealthed.

Does anyone know if monsters’ condition damage follows the general condition damage formula? Also does condition damage round up or down?
I would assume that it follows the general formula, you’d have to see if frifox is able to pull the condi dmg stat off an enemy to check.

The 1 class that i avoid like the plahue in pugs are thieves. 90% of them are shortbow camping which means they do no damage.
I found this thief in arah p3 trio, the lfg wasn’t filling and I ended up duoing most of the path with an engi. Just pew pew, no blasts, couple smokescreens and 1 SR.

And +30 agony infusions already exist, they just cost too much gold to ever be able to craft, the highest(crafted) is like +17 and it cost nearly 1000g for the reagents.
That would mean you need to grind your fractal mastery to unlock +20, +30, and etc. agony infusions for higher levels.
Ascended armour = 30
Weapons = 10
Trinkets = 30
Only need 10 more from the infused agony slots between 3 pieces, getting 100 without fractal masteries would be pretty simple.
Question: how much AR do you need for fractals past 40?
Came back since quitting around January 2013. Before I quit no one gave a kitten about how much AR you had at high level fractals since the max was 25 (30 if you had an infused back piece which very few people had) and would get nearly one-shot regardless of AR.
55 on a 40 for 1% ticks, 70 on a 50
You can probably get away with 5 less if you are only in combat for short periods of time, I accidentally did a trio of a boss with 65, on a 50, and I was alive the whole time missing just a 5% multiplier(barely noticed it on condi).

If you look at the classes in the meta, they also have the highest sustained dps(ele sitting up closer to 19k single target sustatined, ~32k on large hitboxes, lupi, etc..) even if the fights take longer, the meta won’t change unless the mechanics are overhauled.
Also, warrior becomes even more important in long fights, the longer the fights, the less might other people are generating after the first 25 stack, eles only have 1 and a bit blasts, guards none, mesmers none, war is almost the only generator, the longer the fight the more important they are.

How important is might stacking in pvp? I just grabbed the elixir gun instead of utility goggles and i noticed that i can now get 8 stacks of might, albeit i have to pop lots of things ( healing mist, elixir shell, acid bomb, super elixir). Thats why i’m wondering if its worth it, using all those elixirs (cooldowns) for what may only be a very slight dps upgrade
edit i swapped out inventions for alchemy and grabbed hgh. thats how i’m getting might
8 stacks of might is 240 power/condi dmg, if your unbuffed power is 2000, then after you’re at 2240 and it caused a 10% dmg increase. The lower your unbuffed power, the more might affects you. It also help makes up the stat difference if you’re going hybrid, or into 1 stat type while using skills that deal direct damage and condis.
