Absolutely fantastic job! I look forward to future performances.
Oh, I see. It is missing the ‘L’ in “wielding”.
Took me an extra second or two to try to see what it was you were reporting.
Had not noticed it missing in-game either. My eyes aren’t what they used to be. :\
Good catch.
I used to love leveling new characters. Used to. It had even been my main reason for playing.
I’ve leveled dozens of characters up pretty high and then deleted them just before 80 and remade them just because I enjoyed leveling the character so much.
I currently have 14 characters that I cycle through. My 14th character I made and leveled after the trait changes just to see how it was…I’ve not made another character since.
The only thing that could get me to deal with the mess that leveling a new character has become (or to even spend gems to buy more character slots) is if a new race is released. Even if a new race becomes available, I will be unlikely to enjoy leveling it due to the changes.
Taking away the enjoyment of making and leveling alts has nearly killed my reason for playing anymore. I pretty much only log in to do my daily for the laurel, stand around for an hour staring at the screen in sadness…and then log out. Whereas before the changes I would gladly make a new character to level up even if I just made a duplicate of an existing character (which I frequently did).
Of all the changes that damaged the enjoyment I receive from playing the game (megaserver for one), the trait system changes may be the one that has caused the most damage and may even lead to my walking away entirely due to actively discouraging me from the playing the part of the game I enjoyed most.

That is an odd oversight in Merchant behavior. Have never seen this reported before.
Good catch.
It’s strange that access would be limited to the Personal Story instance owner instead of accessible by all players as Merchants usually are when summoned elsewhere.
If you really want to see if they will refund you a replacement merchant express, you can submit a support ticket and explain that this bug prevented your use of the merchant in that environment. Perhaps they will reimburse you and you will get a replacement in your in-game mail.
Really glad to hear!
If dragging your mini-map down to be positioned in the bottom of the screen does not correct the zoom of it, then it seems that you may have a damaged file in the GW2 database. You should run a repair on your client and see if it corrects the issue.
Check the game for errors and repair it

I’m expecting a countdown timer until season 2 starts on the front page 2 weeks before July 1st and an actual teaser released a week before. Or, if no teaser video is planned, then the timer would probably start 1 week prior to July 1st. That would certainly help get me pumped for season 2. Countdown until X thing always helps build anticipation as it also shows the excitement the company has for sharing their creation with us.
Dwarves are dead (turned to stone – meaning no longer dwarves – see EotN in GW1) – only one left alive (Ogden Stonehammer). All the Stone Summit are dea d.
-Bolded to show.-
Am I the only one that is amused when people make statements like this? Its perfectly acceptable in a fantasy MMORPG for dwarves to be turned to stone but it is then impossible for that to change? Interesting.
EDIT: No matter how many times I edit it correctly, its not fixing the error.
It is because the last ‘d’ in ‘dead’ of the person you quoted, and the ‘Am I the’ of your sentence spells a misspelled curse word. Bolded it to highlight the word and added some words to separate their quote from yours. ‘kitten’ filter hard at work on that one considering there was a period and line breaks separating the letters.

I never had any trouble soloing that whole thing in the past, and I recall it only being a veteran.
However, last time I even tried to go into there the group of random adventurers consisted of myself (being a down-leveled 80 in full exotics and some ascended) and 2 other people (no idea what they were).
Haven’t even given that place another thought since and I don’t expect I shall ever return.
As a note, after killing that golem you will have to immediately go loot the chest on the cliff outside. If you hang back briefly after killing it (even for a second) then you will be insta-teleported off of the cliff down to the ground below even if you were in the middle of opening the chest. I did that thing nearly a dozen times before I was finally able to loot the chest before being booted off. Horrible, horrible design.
Of the three choices for style, I prefer side-toes to be covered – footwear designed around the toes or flaps over top of them.
However, the choice between having the toes blatantly clip through the sides or having them chopped off completely has me a little on the fence.

What version of Windows are you running?
Are you playing sound through a speaker setup or through headphones?
One thing to check would be to:
Windows 7 (and 8?) has advanced functionality so audio volume can be configured separately for individual programs in relation to the master volume slider, or even to mute individual programs.
Also, if you are playing with a headset that has an audio wheel or mute button on its cord, perhaps that could also be the culprit for the random audio loss; accidental muting via that control.
It is also likely that muting (or turning the volume down to zero) via that control is separate from the Windows Audio mute and volume control, so if you muted sound on the cord control then you may not also see audio as being muted in the Windows Audio Mixer and would be forced to have to unmute via that control.

Not as powerful as Exotic (orange) or Ascended (pink), but more powerful than Masterwork (green), Fine (blue) and Common (white).
For the most part you can use Rare armor and weapons and never have any issues completing the majority of content. Also, Rare are much cheaper than exotics. Would probably be a good idea to only pick up Rare armor and weapons until you hit Level 80 and then look to outfit with L80 exotics.
Also take note of the level of Rare items when planning out your upgrades.
As an example, you can easily pay 40 silver+ for a L39 Rare (when you can start using Major Runes/Sigils), but if you wait and get the L40 or L41 version then it might only cost 7s due to the demand for that level item being much lower. Can save a lot of coin by putting off your upgrade for a level or two.
Trinkets you can generally get by with Fine (blue) until L35 and then switch to Masterwork (green) or rare beyond that. You can always re-sell your Fine items as long as you don’t add/change the upgrade component which will cause it to become unsellable. Probably stick with Rare trinkets until L80 also. You can then save for Exotics, or even spend some Laurels from doing Dailies to get an Ascended amulet and rings. Or, if you are into WvW, you can get them with fewer Laurels by picking them up there with a combination of Laurels and Badges of Honor. But still probably only grab Exotic ‘accessories’ since the Ascended versions need Ectos in addition to Laurels.

Nice!
Now, if only there was a person in the background photobombing your photobomb!
I’ve always used my starter armor and equip the gloves I get as reward later on (and chest reward if I hit level 5 before the end fight). For my ranger I just make a stop off at the bank in DR to pick up my shortbow with sigils of fire and air on it (aoe dmg is pretty nice to help with multiple enemies, air for a nice whomp on the single target too). No runes or stronger armor, no bloodlust stacks, no food. I imagine I could probably get my time down to maybe 17 or 18 minutes if I used all that extra stuff. May have to try that sometime.

Projected profit does not include the 5% listing fee, just the 10% sales fee.
You need to manually deduct the displayed listing fee from the projected profit to see what actual profit you will be making on the entire sale, if any.
1s = Sell Price
5c = Listing Fee
10c = Sales Fee
90c = Displayed Projected Profit
85c = Actual Profit on the sale (profit as long as vending nets less than 85c)
If it vends for 99c and you sell it to a 1s buy order, you actually lose 15c on the sale and should have instead sold to a vendor (or salvaged, but that’s a different discussion).
Yes, it is very silly and poorly designed. :\

Do you have the downloaded installer saved onto your primary partition and are executing it from there? If so, have you tried moving the installer (or downloading and saving from the start) to the desired partition to see if it will then want to install to the partition where it is located?
Aside from the purple laser beams and butterflies, I think mesmers are pretty creepy, with the reversed sound effects and all.
That’s messed up…
I kind of have a new appreciation…and sense of wariness for mesmers.
You might be interested in reading about Canach and his part in last season of Living Story. He may also have a role to play in the coming season as well. Pretty decent character.
You cannot find it as acquisition of that specific consumable (as well as others) had been removed from the game some time ago due to, among other reasons, the potential abuse of their skills in areas of the game they were not intended for. Most of those consumable weapons were then limited to only being environmental weapons and only for use within a short range of where they were acquired or, at maximum range, only within the same zone.
If you are wanting it for the skin/appearance of it (and not the once abusable skill that the consumable possessed) there are several weapons in the game that share the skin of, or look similar to, the Ettin Club:
Hammer – “Ugly Stick” is slightly similar
Mace – “Berserker’s Mace” is identical

Any. I’d much prefer Largos over all others, but this far into the game’s release I would take absolutely any of them and be thankful.
Can always pick up a bunch of Ectos and then craft and sell The Anomaly. That is what I usually do when I hit 250 skill points to make a quick 100-110 gold profit after the expense of gathering a stack of ectos from buy orders.
That can take a while, though, due to all the bots mass-updating their buy orders every 4 minutes, so takes a large chunk of time to sit there updating yours individually while they update dozens and dozens of them instantaneously. I usually accumulate ectos at about half the rate accumulate the skill points through regular gameplay though, so I don’t have to play the ‘bidding against bots’ game for very long to finish up the other half of the stack after hitting 250 skill points.
How do you turn skillpoints to ectos?
I know of no way to turn skill points into ectos. I did not make mention of such an action. I actually discussed acquiring ectos from salvaging rares acquired from the TP and through gameplay. I did mention that I do acquire ectos (through salvaging rares acquired during gameplay) at about half the rate at which I acquire the 250 skills points needed to craft The Anomaly.
Uh I guess I wasn’t clear enough on my question, basically what I was asking was does anyone know of any heavy armor pieces, that have 4 dye slots?
There was no misunderstanding, it was explained that there is no real resource to find out which pieces have 4 dye slots outside your checking them yourself.
If you want a specific piece (outside of your only stating “armor pieces”; there are 6 different pieces of armor) you will need to do some checking on your own with one of the methods I outlined above. If you are looking for just chest pieces with 4 slots, or just gloves with 4 slots, or if you just want to know all heavy armor pieces that have 4 slots, you will need to do the work yourself.
That is, unless you are just hoping that someone who is currently using a heavy armor piece that has 4 dye slots will happen upon your thread and mention that X Armor has 4 slots. I suppose that could happen. You’d have better and faster results by doing some quick checking on your own in-game though.

I had no interest in the Gauntlet last year and it didn’t have any changes to it for this year to change my lack of interest.
I still have all of my tickets from last year and I’ve also gained more from this year that I will not use. I was hoping we could vend or trade them in last year and that did not happen.
If we get a way to vend or trade in the tickets by July 1st, awesome. If not, I’ll just trash them as they’ve taken up far too much space for far too long.
They are all the same. As you can tell by the photo it’s either 2 or 3 dye channels depending on which piece and where it is. Costumes have 4 dye channels.
Any armor piece can have between 1 and 4 dye slots (or none in the case of Radiant and Hellfire armor). However, the majority have 3 or fewer. Still, there are several pieces in each category of armor (chests mainly) that have 4.
OP
I haven’t stumbled across any database where the number of dye slots each armor has is documented. I think you would likely need to purchase a blue version of the armor with the skin you want and check if it has 4 slots or not. You could then re-sell the item due to not becoming bound upon use.
As an alternative to purchasing (and for green-rare-exotic skins), if you preview the skin and then add dyes to the preview, take note on each dye added to the preview if an area of that piece changes to that color. Following this method you can see how many dye slots a skin has available on it without ever equipping it.

I’d like something I could track down and best in combat. Otherwise I hunt Sons of Svanir.
Sort of like the unrealized potential of hunting down and fighting Modus Sceleris? I wish Anet would expand on their concept a bit more and spread them out over all of Tyria. Could be great if little clues popped up that led you on a trail of clues to hunt down the members and fight them.
They could be a true trophy that is worthy of being hunted…especially if they dropped named items to show you bested them.

There is a single player game that I find quite enjoyable that shares similar aspects of the combat you find in GW2 (dodging, fighting, skills, traits, etc). If you haven’t tried out koar yet, I think you’ll enjoy it. It’s not the greatest game ever, but it’s good for passing time outside of GW2. Has awesome weapon designs and effects also…much better than those found around here, in my opinion.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_Assassin_Backpack
It is called “assassin” but is actually “berserker” stats, not assassin stats.
(This error of having the wrong name has been reported in the past, they’ve just never corrected it)
If you don’t have the guild commendations (or want to spend them) or don’t want to spend a bunch to craft an exotic Advanced Spinal Blade, the stat difference between the rare version and the exotic version is very minor.
Rare Guild Backpack (5 gold)
Exotic Guild Backpack (5 gold & 5 commendations)
Exotic Advanced Spinal Blade (many, many gold)
Might as well just grab the rare as a whole +2 in each stat is really not worth the additional cost in commendations or in crafting a spinal blade back piece.

Before MegaServer I would RP hunt/gather as I camped out in the woods of Timberline Falls. After MagaServer I could no longer remain immersed into the activity due to dozens of players constantly running past me and flamethrowering everything around me. I’ve not been able to RP hunt/gather/camp out since MS was forced on us.
Before MegaServer I would make it a daily activity (sometimes multiple times daily) to go to the Harathi Hinterlands to kill me some centaur! I would end up doing the entire zone event chain up to Ulgoth completely on my own. It was so much fun. Now that Ulgoth is on a timer and the zone is filled with so many people due to MegaServer, it is not nearly as much fun. I went from slaughtering hundreds upon hundreds of centaur (I used to actually keep as close a count as I could to how many I rid the lands of) and killing their leader every day, to barely being able to tag a few of the beasts due to all the players around and only catching Ulgoth “up” one time. :\ Can’t even go into that zone without becoming very sad, so I don’t go there anymore.
Still trying to find a new area that is free of so many other players that could work well for RP hunting/gathering/camping. :\ Orr areas aren’t good for this kind of activity at all, really, even if there are so few people there.
Also take note that dyes appear differently depending on the species of your character. So “Red Dye” on the same cloth piece will appear differently if it is worn by a charr versus on a human, or on a norn versus a sylvari. They call this the “cultural palette”. This means that you may need “Brick Dye” to get the color red on your charr’s armor to appear the same as the “Red Dye” on your human’s armor, despite being applied on the exact same armor.
Also, I prefer Midnight Ice for my ‘black’ almost across the board on character species and armor weights. Though, Midnight Fire does seem to look a little darker on certain armor pieces for certain species. It is good that you’ve now unlocked both as you may find one to appear much darker than the other depending on the species/material.
On a note of colors that are cheap:
‘Pitch’ is nearly identical to ‘Abyss’ for most materials, and is actually darker than ‘Black’
‘Blue Ice’ is as close to ‘Celestial’ as you can get, for the most part, and is much cheaper

Most questions have been asked and answered in there.
To me it just looks like a “Tree Callus”. Pretty impressive that the designers of the style took that behavior into account. Most sylvari are born from pods, apparently, so treating them as if they were born on limbs of a tree and were ‘trimmed from the trunk’, so to speak, is quite interesting lore-wise.
When a tree is wounded, the injured tissue is not repaired and does not heal. Trees do not heal; they seal. If you look at an old wound, you will notice that it does not “heal” from the inside out, but eventually the tree covers the opening by forming specialized “callus” tissue around the edges of the wound. After wounding, new wood growing around the wound forms a protective boundary preventing the infection or decay from spreading into the new tissue. Thus, the tree responds to the injury by “compartmentalizing” or isolating the older, injured tissue with the gradual growth of new, healthy tissue.
Google “tree callus” for more pics of this behavior in nature.
Tree/branch stumps often produce new growth around the stump, which would be the branches growing out from around the stump in the ‘hair’ style.

Purple flower back skin
Other colors as well.
We have the Fervid Censer (yellow) and the Desert Rose (red), but there is a lot of interest in other colors.
Please add other colors of flower back item skins to the gem store, or even an item that will allow us to change the color of our back items to a color we have unlocked on our accounts.
Seriously, Duke, you’ve made my day with your rantings!
I have been wishing and hoping (great now that song is in my head) for a purple flower back skin since the Fervid Censer was made!
I still wish the Desert Rose had a red glow like the Fervid Censer has a yellow glow. Hopefully it will get its red glow added and any new flower back skins will glow in their respective colors as well.
ArenaNet: I’d buy (or earn) the purple flower back skin if you released it. There is a demand for more colors (especially if they glow a little bit)! We really need an alternative to the Lightning Catcher back skin to get our purple on.
I know how she got her name, but did you happen to have any alternative names for Taimi (or Rox, Marjory, etc.) that you, personally, were fond of, but they ended up not being chosen for various reasons?
Braham’s original name was Dyre, but some felt that the pronunciation sounded too much like “Die, Eir” so it was changed. Considering their strained relationship, this was for the best.
Thank you for your response on this as well!
Wow…
Yeah, I think that was a real good call, especially since BroHam has become legendary in his own right! That would not have been possible had he been named Dyre and caused players to think he really wanted his mother dead. I know he doesn’t like her much, but want her dead? I don’t think so. Or, as Eir was the one that named him, that she blamed him and his being born for her life/legend-forging coming to an end prematurely (or so she may have thought at the time) and so named him as such.
Yes, a real good call.
However, I do like the name “Dyre”, though it does ring a bit close to “Pyre” in sound and spelling, which we have had for a long time. I wonder if we will see an NPC someplace in the game someday where you pass “Dyre” on to be used, and perhaps by an NPC that really, really does not like Eir.
(Also, we’re still hoping to hear Taimi ask Braham if he likes ham in some random little conversation between the two and that you’ve not forgotten that legend-forging thread that Matthew Medina’s comment spawned)

Taimi has the best lines.
“I don’t have a fop to quote…”
Thank you! So glad you like Taimi’s dialogue, and specifically that line. It’s one of my faves, too (and it’s hard for me to pick a fave because Taimi’s way fun to write).
I could listen to you talk about character design and development all day long. It’s a real pleasure to hear your passion for the writing when you speak.
I know how she got her name, but did you happen to have any alternative names for Taimi (or Rox, Marjory, etc.) that you, personally, were fond of, but they ended up not being chosen for various reasons?
Thanks very much—it’s a topic I love exploring, and as such it’s not often people tell me to keep talking about it. ;-)
Angel McCoy had the names for Rox and Taimi ready to go, and we liked them so much we didn’t have to think of alternatives. Fortunately they both passed all the subsequent reviews by Editing, QA, lead writer, etc..
I remember collaborating on Marjory’s name, in that Angel had the first name locked in and I think I suggested the surname. Or maybe it was vice-versa. It was a team effort, in any case, and once we put ’em together we were happy with the result.
I’m going to refrain from listing the alternates we suggested because we might need ‘em later. During the brainstorming process for names (namestorming?), we usually generate several ideas that we like, and those we don’t use we usually put aside in case we can apply them to another character later on.
But I can say, as a huge MST3K fan, I try to avoid names that sound like they’re from the list that Mike and the ‘bots generated for the hero of the MST3K classic “Space Mutiny.” (e.g., Rip Steakface! Bulk VanderHuge!). Sometimes it’s harder than others (I’m looking at you, charr and norn).
Cheers,
I don’t know what I was thinking asking that question as I know all too well how the “saving of great names for later, just in case” thing goes. When you come up with a real good name, it is sometimes more fun (and even easier) to create a character that fits the name instead of coming up with a name for an existing character. Much like the situation of one writing great music and then coming up with proper lyrics for it afterward versus writing great lyrics and then coming up with the appropriate music to put them to.
MST3K, oh the many laughs (and tears) they’ve given me over the years. Thanks for mentioning them! Other players have made more than enough charr and norn with those type of names for my taste, so your efforts in staying clear of those type of names are much appreciated!
Thank you for the response!
More like Living Story version of Caithe, Logan, Rytlock, Zojja and Eir.
What I don’t get is if they’re supposed to be the Living Story version of Destiny’s Edge why are there 2 humans and no Sylvari?
I’m sure that the writers really looked into the species dynamics of the B-iconics when planning out S1 with the knowledge that the enemy was a sylvari. I have some guesses as to why they opted to omit this species from the B-iconic team for S1, but they are just guesses.
I really wonder how the dynamics of the characters’ relationships would have been impacted (with Scarlet having been the villain) had there been a sylvari as part of the group. How very differently S1 could have played out.
The group finds out that the enemy of Tyria is a sylvari. Had there been a sylvari component of the group, that character’s becoming conflicted over Scarlet and her actions could have been a real ‘growing’ experience.
I do not think that the hate for all sylvari by the peoples of Tyria (that came about after Scarlet was taken down) would have even become an issue since one of the people in the group that took her down would have been a sylvari as well. This would have shown the people that the sylvari were not even ok with how Scarlet was acting, that a sylvari assisted in ending the Scarlet threat. Had there been a sylvari among the heroes, the growing hatred for all sylvari would not have come about, just the hatred for Scarlet where her being sylvari would not even have been paid much attention.
An alternate path for the story could have been the emotional aspect for the PC were the sylvari of our group to have fallen into Nightmare during the Nightmares Within or Tower of Nightmares releases. This could have given an interesting comparison for the B-iconic team to the Caithe and Faolain situation (and a sylvari personal story), as well as being reminiscent of the entire personal story with the deaths of the mentors.
Or, what if Scarlet thought that perhaps ‘our sylvari’ group member could be capable of seeing things as she saw them, and that Scarlet tried to get ‘our sylvari’ onto her side. What if ‘our sylvari’ did seem to go to Scarlet’s side for a bit, but was really playing Scarlet to find out her secrets (like where her secret workshop was) so as to help us to take her down . Or if ‘our sylvari’ encountered her nightmare in the nightmare chamber, which was to fall into Nightmare, and then overcame that fear. I believe that would have been real good character development for us to witness.
There were a lot of possibilities for our group and for the story, but it is too late for those possibilities to be reality as LS:S1 is over and Scarlet is dead (or is she? dun-dun-dunnnn). If a sylvari becomes a part of our group in Season 2, much like Taimi, an asura, became part of our group toward the end of S1, then the sylvari would need to be introduced immediately for the group dynamics to adjust to their addition prior to the meat of S2 happening. Unless the adjustment to the group dynamics intentionally stretches the entire season due to their being a sylvari. Perhaps it would take the entire season for some elements of our group to accept a sylvari into it after what happened with Scarlet. If we are going to march on Mordremoth over this season, perhaps elements of what I have written will come out over the entire season; elements of trust, fear, judgment, acceptance, etc).
I’m actually really excited to see what they end up having happen over Season 2.
Sorry for the disorganized rantings, was just spewing thoughts out as they came to me after reading your question.

Yes, they do stack.
Helm – Minor Strength – +10 Power
Shoulders – Minor Strength – +4% Might Duration
Chest – Minor Fire – +10 Power
Gloves – Minor Fire – +4% Might Duration
Legs – Minor Hoelbrak – +10 Power
Boots – Minor Hoelbrak – +4% Might Duration
Total stat increases from runes:
+30 Power
+12% Might Duration
It is possible that you were looking at your stats while you were under the effects of downleveling.
Be sure to always compare your stats before and after any changes while you are in a main city so you are not under the effects of downleveling.
Or, if you must make stat adjustments while in an area where you are downleveled, hovering over the stat in your Hero Panel will display the non-downleveled amount of the stat in a pop-up. So, you can hover on the stat to see it’s full, non-downleveled value, remove the gear, then hover again to see the decrease in actual stats. Do not go by the regular display of stats that are in green as those are downlevel modified values.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We’re working on a fix.
Thank you very much, Ms. Jessica Boettiger. It was quite a welcome surprise to not only see an acknowledging response on this matter, but to also see that it was you who made it. I look forward to a future patch where it will be corrected.
The optional stuff: get collector’s edition for a banker golem, get primeval vintage armor with collector’s so you get a helmet and shoulders with power runes. Get executioners axe halloween toy for running speed. Get polla from dragon bash with garnet pebble (not possible anymore). Get hero’s band from preordering gw2 (not possible anymore). Get an unbound backpiece with garnet pebble using a transmutation splitter (not possible anymore).
Can you explain the highlighted part? That’s the first I’ve heard of Primeval Vintage armor. And for ‘collectors,’ do you mean Digital Deluxe or something else? Because DD gives you the banker golem too.
Otherwise a very useful list, and one I’ll be using in one of my hobbies – experiencing all racial PS lines.
Finishing up Norn, just have Human and Charr left now.
I believe this has been changed but for a while, if you bought the gem store item “primeval armor” you got 6 skins to apply to other pieces of armor PLUS a non-level piece of each piece of armor (head, hands, feet, etc). Those non-leveled pieces of armor could take a rune or upgrade, unlike the starting helm or shoulders. So for those that bought it during that time, they got 2 rune slots for their key farming armor that can no longer be obtained. It also used to work to put any armor skin on a piece of armor and then to use a splitter to separate it back off – this yielded a non-level piece of armor with a rune slot.
But, again, this can no longer be done.
Ah, that explains it nicely. Thank you. I was trying to make sense of their stating to get that skin set, but could not think of how to achieve what they were stating it would achieve.
OMG, I so want someone to portal me to the end of Dark Reverie…
Message me anytime in-game if you see me on and I’ll help you out whenever you want.
Most people can’t make that tricky shroom jump at the top, but that is because they are trying to jump to the slightly angled shroom (and fall to death) instead of to the branch behind it that holds the shroom, and then go from the branch onto the shroom.
This armor?
I have the shoulders unlocked in my wardrobe, but cannot remember where I grabbed it from. Must have been from the PvP reward chests that used to come in the achievement reward chest.

I did the warrior runs for a bit (about 28 minutes), but I do not really enjoy combat as a warrior. I then switched to ranger (my favorite) and I actually do it quicker now (about 23 minutes) and enjoy it more. I could tweak a few things to get that runtime down to maybe 18 minutes, but not really worried about it. After I get the key I then hop over and do Rata Sum and Grove map completions real quick for some T-Charges too.
Personally, I think a lot of the TP listing fee exploiters got burned (rightly so) and lost a lot of their invested products by selling them for vendor prices. Before they noticed what it was that they were doing I’m sure they gave away quite a large chunk of their accumulated wealth. Due to this, they probably had to convert their stockpiled gems to gold (or buy a bunch with cash to convert real quick) to build up their bankroll again real fast due to having lost it all. I’m not saying this is the entire cause for the sudden bulk gem > gold conversion, but I’m sure it accounts for some of it.

I have my AoE loot bound to “L”. shrug
“L” .. hmm, could you had picked a key more far away from wasd
?
Sorry, just seemed odd to me 8DL is for Loot like C is for Cookie. I don’t use wasd for movement, anyhow.
What do you use for movement then O.o?
Arrow keys perhaps? I do. There are plenty of other keys on the keyboard to use for movement beside the w, s, a and d keys. Actually, you would probably be surprised by how many gamers use keys other than w, s, a and d for movement in all types of games. Those keys just became the default a long time ago back when games didn’t really even have customizable key bindings or mouse functions, which meant the left hand was really for movement from the left side of the keyboard and the right hand was for other actions on the right side of the keyboard. It is not the dark ages of gaming any longer and we have the ability to use keys other than the ones we were forced to use in the past. We’ve evolved past w, s, a and d for movement.

Apparently this thread over in the BLTC forum goes into a good and detailed explanation of how the powder and all that works (with pics).
It seems that activating a single powder will convert a single booster that is currently in your inventory into the appropriate Enchanted Booster type. So make sure you have any boosters out of your inventory that you want to keep in their current form when you use the powder to prevent them from being converted.
I read it wrong and one powder converts only one booster, apparently. I’ll need over a hundred powders to convert my boosters over to the Enchanted Booster items. Not going to happen, especially at 125 gems per powder (cost of a key) or even 20-30 minutes per key run for one powder from a chest with a free key.

Tweaked wording for more accurate (and saddening) information.

Do the new Boost Enchantment Powders function in a way that is similar to the old transmutation windows?
Perhaps activating the powder opens a window where you have to place a booster into it to convert it into a generic, stackable booster. I have no plans to purchase any so I will only find out after getting one from a BL Chest after my next key run. I also do not plan to ever convert my karma boosters to powders as it seems to only be a way to lessen the number of karma boosters out there. I can use two karma boosters, or turn those two into a single generic booster that is good for a single karma booster use. Makes no sense outside of a way for them to make people freely destroy half of their karma boosters.
