He is the same player that made that post. He does not understand for some reason. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/bltc/Am-I-the-only-one-experiencing-this/first. I remember that post because one of my highest post is in it.
Oh…wow. I’m not quite sure what to think now since this person felt the need to bring the same topic up once again 2 and a half months after the first thread they made on it (which even had the John Smith explaining it to them then).
I think we should all just back away from this thread very slowly…and then, as skritt say, “Run away!”
Actually this is the THIRD thread the OP has made on this subject. The other one is: Problems with the Trading Post
In that thread he was also pointed to the answers already given in his first thread.
Yeah, I mentioned the user having made this and another new thread on the same subject as the one that had been discussed at length that had been linked above (that also had John Smith explaining it to them in it) in the report when I requested this and the other thread’s closure. Both new threads still exist and have not been closed, despite discussing the same subjects and opened by the same user as the above linked thread. I suppose they left the two new threads open because of the impending change that was made today, as that is the only reason I can think of for the two new threads to have remained open. However, that does not explain why the two new ones were not merged into the above linked existing thread made by the user. These two should be merged to the old one or both closed per forum rules, end of story.

There is an infinite number of copies for you to withdraw from there. Notice that you now have a stack of 42 of those skins sitting in your inventory that can be used and applied to your weapon on that character.
Also, with the wardrobe being implemented, you can apply the skin to your active weapon in the Appearance/Wardrobe tab of your Hero Panel. Selecting the achievement skin to apply to your weapon does not require a transmutation charge.
Either way you apply your unlocked achievement skin to your weapon will be free and applicable an infinite number of times.

Also AoE-looting with F still just loots one item per keypress if the items are next to you so you still have to either press F 10 times or just assign AoE-loot to a different key and use that always.
wait what? I thought AoE looting grabbed EVERTHING in range of the AoE? Unless you have the option to loot all items turned off…I’m confused.
Having AoE Looting enabled, but still bound to your Interact Key (default: F), does grab everything as long as there is no active interact box on your screen. Pressing it with an interact box on your screen will only interact with what is on your screen that is presenting the box and not AoE loot. Once the interact dialogue box is off your screen, pressing your Interact key would AoE loot.
It is recommended to actually bind a key for the AoE Loot function so even if there is an interact dialogue box on the screen, pressing the AoE Loot key will only AoE Loot regardless of the interact dialogue box and it will not interact with whatever is presenting the dialogue box unless it is nearby loot that is causing the interact dialogue box to display (aoe looting would cause the interact box to disappear then as there is no loot to interact with due to having been aoe looted).

EDIT: While typing the title, I pressed enter and it’s wrong. Don’t mind it, please
For over a month, every time the news say there are awesome items/sales in the black lion, there’s a “Get More Gold” in bold, pretty big
So, that’s odd. There’s so much to be bought in the TP (agony resist, materials, equips, and even legendaries), and the game is barely rewarding that I feel they are trying to get some extra money instead of fixing the rewards – or, at least, while they do it
Any thoughts?
PS: I’m not saying this is wrong, but it doesn’t seem like what the game was when it launched
Just as a note, you can edit the topic title by clicking the words “Edit Topic” that are just underneath the “Add Reply” and “Subscribe” buttons underneath the actual title of the thread at the top of this page.
See the attached image.
First, make sure you actually have gotten all 10 and that you did not simply miss one. Dulfy.net has a good guide with pictures (and I think videos) showing them all and how to get them.
The one many forget about or cannot find is the one inside of the cliff far down below the skydock waypoint.
Yeah, the TP is very buggy when switching through the selected list of items in your inventory to sell. Also needing to right-click > Sell on TP several times to get the sell window to actually open is a pain. I am usually forced to close the window and right-click > Sell on TP for every single item I want to sell due to selling one item and then going to sell another causing the window to bug out and only display the items currently in my inventory no matter how many times I try to get the sell page to load.
They really need to start addressing the horrible TP functionality and interface.
May want to check your anti-virus program to see if it quarantined or deleted your updated Gw2.exe file. Some AV software does that as they really aren’t that good. May want to consider switching to Avast anti-virus if you are using something like AVG or Norton, etc.
There is no need to re-download the whole game again.
If you cannot locate your Gw2.exe file, you can download the Gw2setup.exe file by clicking on ‘My Account’ (up by your logout button) and then on the ‘Download Client’ area. Download this file (22mb) to your installation directory and rename it to “Gw2.exe” and then run your game from its shortcut normally. It may need to then patch the replaced Gw2.exe to the latest version (about 34mb), but your game should run without issue after that.

I was almost going to make a Bohemian Rhapsody joke when I saw the title
Sort of like what happened in this thread?
I loved my character so much when I made her (spent over an hour tweaking her to get her just right) that I saved images of her settings so I could duplicate it later. I think this is somewhat cat-like, though I tend to think of her as kind of a kitty-mouse.
Also a recent set of pics of her showing off her new outfit where you can see her ears at good angles.
(also edited to add her crying ears…dawwww)

This was covered in a previous game patch for the functionality of the skill.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates/Game-Update-Notes-April-15-2014/3896059
Thief
- Disabling Shot (Shortbow):
- Reduced the length of this skill’s evasion component from 100% of the skill’s duration to 64% of the skill’s duration—an overall reduction of .3 seconds.
- Evasion is still applied immediately upon using the skill.
- Fixed an issue that caused the player to stop moving momentarily when using this skill on opponents behind the thief.
There is no mention of adding a backpedal animation that extends the distance the thief actually travels. Also, this undesired bug came about with the May 20th patch, not the April 15th patch that mentioned those changes.
Evasion now lasts for .3 seconds less time than it had prior to April 15th. Now that this bug causes the player to be locked into an animation that lasts at least 1.5 seconds longer than it should, it leaves the player completely vulnerable for at least 1.2 seconds where they are unable to perform any action whatsoever.
Using these skills (thief and ranger #3) completely defeats the purpose for the skills to even exist as the added animation is more detrimental to the player than not using the skill in the first place.
It is basically shooting yourself in the foot to avoid getting your toe stepped on; it makes no sense and hurts you more than having your toe stepped on would.
There is no mention of any change being made to the ranger shortbow #3, which also has this added animation.
Two classes, the same weapon, the same skill slot, the same skill function, the same undesirable effect added to the back end of the animation – it being a bug is not in dispute, their being aware of it is.
Again, clearly a bug. It would just be nice for a quick post from a dev stating that they are aware of the bug and that it will be fixed when they can get to it…which would take all of 3 seconds. Sneezing exerts more effort and takes more time than it would for them to make the requested post, which is why it leaves me disappointed by the fact that one has not yet been made.

You’re free to express your opinion. The game is nearly two years old, and this is the first time I’ve heard of someone complaining because they make too much money.
Strangely enough, this is the second time I’ve come across a thread on the forums with a player that was confused (and the first thread creator was actually outraged) as to why they could not sell an item for less than the highest buy order due to their feeling it was not worth that high of an amount.
“The Stargate film opens with Ra abducting his future host and slaves.”
Would just like to point out that this example is incorrect. The film starts out with the unearthing of the gate in 1928, followed by Daniel Jackson giving a lecture on the pyramids. The viewer does not see the instance of Ra taking the young boy until 3/4 of the way into the film when Daniel Jackson is translating the hidden hieroglyphics in the sealed off ruins with Colonel Jack O’Neil, the other soldiers, Sha’uri, Skaara and the other ‘kids’. This happens just before the cartouche is discovered with the 7th symbol worn off of it.

or just wait for it to expire? I mean, most speed buffs don’t last much longer than 25seconds, unless you’re in WVW
It can be much more troublesome (and a downright hassle and burden to our gameplay) with many other boons and transforms that are not as temporary as a short boost to speed (though the cited instance in the OP is mentioned as being 10 minutes, not 25sec).
One instance is in the Renown “quest” Rescue fallen Seraph in the Bloodfields where you must pick up a medical kit from the ground which places a large pack on your back to heal wounded seraph in the field. Unfortunately, this kit has a timer on it of like 10 minutes and you cannot select to remove it and must wait for the timer to expire before you can get this huge pack off of your back. Waypointing elsewhere, even to another zone, does not remove it, nor does logging out and back in again.
There are many other instances of boons/transforms where you cannot remove them and must wait around and do nothing or put up with them until their timers run out.
+1
I support Hamfast’s request for a “Right-click > Remove” option for all boons/transforms regardless of how they were acquired or of their remaining duration. If we do not want it, whatever our reason, we should not have to have it against our will.

What do you mean by “automatic chat linking is missing”?
If you mean the “shift+left mouse click” and “CTRL+left mouse click” to link items into your chat, those cannot be customized, which is why there is no option for those two actions in the control options.
I’d buy that potion
Yeah, it’s a bug. Also, you are the only one who can see the sparkles when you “catch the loot bug.” :P
Even if only I could see my own effect I’d buy it. In fact, I would prefer more effects for our characters that only we could see.
I still want to be able to hide the legendary, armor and spell effects of other players. :\
GW1 had a third-party application that was allowed called Texmod that this could be done with.
Indeed. That was great. I use TexMod for a lot of games.
It is actually permitted to be used for GW2, but the way the game’s textures are organized and how they interact with eachother pretty much limits and even removes the ability for the program to be functional or useful at all. However, I have seen some people manage to get different, unavailable colors for some of their weapons (shields specifically). Not sure how they managed it but there aren’t really even any texmod files available anywhere for specific alterations due to how hard it is. Everyone kind of just figured it isn’t worth the time and effort.
A way to vastly decrease load times in cities is to select a waypoint where there are likely to be few, if any, players around you. You can then insta-waypoint without a loading screen to the waypoint you wished to go to initially where all the other people and services are at.
Example:
Rata Sum – Accountancy Waypoint
Versus
Rata Sum – Metrical Court Waypoint
I’d buy that potion

I know a lot of people use AutoHotKey to make the right mouse button into a toggle so you don’t have to constantly hold it down to mouse steer.
This is the .ahk file they use that binds your middle-mouse click to enable it. A single click activates mouse steer and another single click or just clicking your right mouse button will disable it. This is useful so you can disable it quickly to interact with dialogue boxes or your UI and then re-enable it when you want to mouse steer again. It is only functional when GW2 is the active window so even if you enable it while in-game and then go to another app your mouse functions normally. Return to the game and it will still be in the state you left it at; activated or deactivated.
Copy this and paste it into a new .txt file and rename it to be .ahk
#NoEnv
#SingleInstance Force
SetTitleMatchMode, 3
#IfWinActive, Guild Wars 2MouseLook = 1
MButton::
Gosub, ToggleCursor
ReturnToggleCursor:
GetKeyState, state1, RButton
If state1 = U
{
Send {RButton Down}
MouseLook = 1
}
else
{
Send {RButton Up}
MouseLook = 0
}
Return
The “MButton::” part is the designated activation key (middle mouse button). I’m sure you can edit that to another key if you prefer, but clicking the middle mouse button is very handy for quick activation/deactivation.
Just need to download and install AHK and then run this file when you play GW2.

Stop selling individual armor pieces and sell full sets. I feel like they’re selling me a set of new tires one at a time. It’s doing nothing but charging us atleast 50% more than what we should pay. 1200 gems for 4 pieces vs 800gems for 6 pieces? Even if its only 4 pieces. You should, in truth, be charging us LESS. I don’t understand why I read so many players liking the individual pieces. .A more reasonable price should be 125 gems per piece if sold individual
What has been requested:

They’ve still not gotten it right, which I suspect is due to a combination of a lack of effort and caring and a high amount greed. One can only guess. :\

It has been mentioned elsewhere, but I’d like to also mention here that this backpedal oddity also suddenly appeared for the Ranger Shortbow #3 skill (Quick Shot).
A similar thread discussing this change/bug was in the GW2 Discussion sub-forum for a while and then the other day it got moved to the Profession Balance sub-forum.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/balance/bloodlust-stacking-change-is-not-right
I guess we can take that as their response on the matter as it being intentional.
I believe there are still bugs related to their undocumented change, which is why this thread is still in the bugs forum; it mentions some of those bugs/inconsistencies.
I’ve decided to completely ignore anything with stacking sigils and will be selling off the ones I have. This change makes them not worth having at all, to me, when another sigil can be more effective for my style of play.
RIP Stacking Sigils. :\ It was fun while it lasted.

Added a summary and link to your thread in the BLTC sub-forum’s “List Of Things We Want In Gemstore” thread.
From Ronah Lynda.2496’s suggestion thread.
Makeover Kits merged into the Hero Panel
A summary of details in the request:
My reasons for supporting this request:
I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase “charges” (or whatever) to make frequent changes to my appearance. If charges are priced like current Transmutation Charges then I would welcome them and buy them often.
As it is currently, needing to spend far too much for a single kit to make a single adjustment to my appearance causes me to not purchase any.
If I were charged on a per-feature-adjustment basis, I would make changes and tweaks constantly. This ‘fee per adjustment’ plan would result in plenty of appearance charges being used. Spending a ton of gems for a full kit just to tweak the color of my sylvari’s glow so it will match her new armor color scheme…no thanks, not buying those. I’d rather make a new character than buy a kit to tweak one small detail on an existing one.

Also, the Sprocket Generator (mentioned on that wiki page) can be acquired right now from the Festival Rewards Vendor in the Labyrinthine Cliffs for Festival Tokens. You can mine the node once per day in your ‘Home Instance’ in any of the major cities and you get several Blade Shards in addition to the Watchwork Sprockets. Can just do the dolyak race and crystal gather events in the Labyrinthine Cliffs to earn Festival Tokens and have your Sprocket Generator in no time.

The reason as to why Trahearne is loathed by so many is written out at length by many players over in the Living World Discussion and Lore Discussion sub-forums. The short version was mentioned up above; we do all the work, he gets all the credit/glory/rewards/titles after having done nothing.
The players want their spotlight as the hero (we did the work of one), but all we got was barely a footnote as being “Random Person #2,319,575 that may or may not have done something to help Trahearne, the Real Hero, to save Tyria.” – Trahearne needs to cozy up to a wood chipper and not return to our story to steal our glory and trod all over our sense of accomplishment from our saving Tyria.
Here is a good image that goes around the forums that accurately displays what happened and how it affected the Players behind the Player Characters.
(contains spoiler for end of “personal story” with fighting Zhaitan – the spoiler is the “fight” itself as well as the presence of Trahearne…who spoils anything he makes himself apart of)

Disrupting the economy
Racial prejudice
Trahearne.Well if this is true its very, very disappointing news. Two of those things are low fantasy issues that are found in real life and the third is the return of a much hated character.
My god did they not learn anything from season 1?!?? Its time for the Sylvari to take a step back and not be in the limelight for a change. I have a sylvari character and I’m sick of my race being in the thick of it. Give us a break!
Also how about some high fantasy stories?! like a search for an ancient magical artifact, or strange and wondrous creatures terrorizing the land, or some mysterious figure of power that commands a legion of undead. A bunch of traders disrupting the economy is such a lame idea, followed by a social story of racial prejudice.
BOOOooooo so boring. And why not lets bring back Trahearne to really make it terrible.

Get out of my brain! It’s mine!
Charrs must be the bane of every graphic designer at Arenanet
I wouldn’t be surprised if they spend less time on charr versions because they know it’s one of the least popular race, especially female charrs
I think charr persist as the least popular species in the game because of the lack of attention given to it and not because of a dislike for the species itself.
Devs seem to have looked at their metrics and got it completely wrong…obviously that would happen simply by going off of metrics yet they persist with that behavior. The stance of “they don’t like it so why put effort into fixing it” is completely wrong when really they are not liked primarily because of the effort not being put into fixing them. Put actual effort into fixing them and players will make them more.
It’s like:
When really we aren’t eating the cake because it’s full of thumb tacks!
(clipping, lazy adaptations, ignoring species attributes; horns, ears, tails, claws, etc.)

Do not rejoice too soon. There is a very nasty dynamic bug on hip. Again open test for gems
I noticed the female asura also has quite a bit of butt/hip clipping through the back of the skirty part when in the idle animation. :\
I’m so glad the dragon bits could be dyed and are not forced to remain gold. That was the deal-breaker for me if they could not also be dyed.
I almost didn’t get it because it’s an outfit and I want to be able to mix and match with other armors, but since it can be toggled, fully unlocked for all characters on the account and does not take charges at all, I guess I can pick it up.
[&DAkAAAA=] If you want to test preview with dyes.
They would sell a ton of gems if players could activate their Kite Toys mid-fall which allowed you to float down to safety.
Instead of WP fees being a gold sink due to the death falls, I’m sure players would buy Kite Toys with gems bought with either real money or more gold than would be spent in total by the player on all of their death fall WP fees.
I’d actually buy them if they let us float down safely like Mary Poppins.
I never went from that side. Is it really hard to get it from there?
I jumped across to the rock on the other side of the water wheel, boost jump up onto a post, lightning or boost jump over to the plank that is on the left side of the water wheel, jump on top of the water wheel and then drop down onto the master crystal.
…when wearing any helmet, ever? whether it’s bald from the front, or bald in the back, or completely bald (e.g. when wearing a top hat) human female becomes bald whenever wearing a helm or a hat of any sort.
I’d understand giving them a default haircut of some sort (as many mmo’s do) but making them completely bare seems like an odd choice.
It happens with every character. The helmet replaces the hair on the character model, it doesnt go over it.
Indeed. Most helms even remove all facial hair even when the helm does not cover the face. :\
Happy to help out. Hope work and your champ-camp goes smoothly for you.
The only champion that remains in QD is the Oakheart. You can hang out there with a ranger until it spawns and let your pet tank its hits while you auto-attack LB1 from relative safety. Sometimes your pet gets too much damage and you will need to heal it (and yourself) due to the grasping roots AoE. Beware that Vet Oakhearts spawn right next to the Champ Oakheart, so you may get undesired aggro and damage.
It would probably be better for you to hang out on a ledge over the Frostgorge Troll since there is usually an active train there now with QD being disbanded. Can use long ranged auto-attacks to hit from the safety of the ledge and then AoE Loot its corpse. If you want to jump down for the chest that it guards then you can do that and then hide in an alcove to avoid enemies until the train comes back, or just grab the chest once and then return to your overlook position.

AVG is garbage, has been since 2007. You all should be using Avast!
Source – http://www.av-comparatives.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/avc_factsheet2014_04.pdf
I completely agree. I’ve tried a lot of free AV’s and always came back to Avast.
I, too, support the recommendation to others to switch to Avast from their current AV software.
No full armor sets have ever been removed from the Gem Store Style section once they have been released (Flamekissed 1.0 is another matter entirely).
The rumor you are hearing is baseless and contrary to the entire history of full armor skin availability in the Gem Store.
Do not pay attention to those spreading rumors as they are likely just upset and exaggerating based on the two weapon skin sets being discontinued at the Black Lion Weapon Specialist.
You have plenty of time to save up and purchase the armor set you desire from Gem Store.
They’re going to close this thread, and absolutely ignore everything in it using the TOS (No “I’m Quitting” threads) as an excuse.
Don’t waste your breath. ArenaNet have their heads in the sand over GW2.
My suggestion is to putz around in it off and on if there are things you enjoy – otherwise just find another game you like or get out of the house and get some sun.
Being frustrated and annoyed at a game means it’s not fun, and games are supposed to be fun. Go have fun! Don’t waste your time or breath on ArenaNet.
This was discussed on an earlier page. Apparently the “No I’m Quitting Threads” part was removed from the forum rules, thus why this has not really been deleted…it isn’t breaking any rules and has actually spurned quite an interesting and constructive discussion.
A Request To Other Posters
Do not mention other games by name. Discussing other games by name and comparing them to GW2 is against forums rules and will likely close the thread. I really do not want to see this thread closed as there are several very good and constructive discussions taking place in it. It would be a shame to make the thread get closed because of mentioning other games by name.
Perhaps edit your previous posts to remove/replace the names of other games. It is obvious which one you are talking about, but it doesn’t really break any rules with the name of the game not being mentioned.
(edited by StinVec.3621)
As an additional note – while in-game, if you look on the Promotions Tab of the Gem Store (or the appropriate tab for the item; Toys, etc) you will see the actual countdown timer on the item until it will no longer be available for purchase.
Just noticed this also, what happened did anet go all RP and decide that water washes off the blood or something? mind boggles.
[EDIT Update] Just bought a Sigil of Bloodlust for one of my underwater weps, now I do not lose the stacks. Maybe this is actually an intended change.
Does the sigil on the underwater weapon need to be the same quality of sigil to maintain the stacks, or can I put a Superior Sigil of Bloodlust on my greatsword and a Minor Sigil of Bloodlust on my spear and keep my stacks?
They need to be the same:
minor|minor
major|major
superior|superior
I lose my Bloodlust stacks every time when I waypoint from one place to another inside one region. I understand loseing the stack if I leave the zone I’m in but I’m not leaving the zone.
I asked a question about this but my question was removed for a reason I don’t understand.
Your thread is still there, it just dropped to page 4 of the General GW2 Discussion sub-forum.
You are quite right, I stand corrected.

:)
To have some content to this post, if this consulting job is not related to improving/fixing the aforementioned pet/enemy/boss AI, that is something that is sorely needed and I hope ANet is already working on it or will be working on it soon.
Screw ranger pet AI, if this is what I think it is we might see an end to stacking and zerker meta. \o/
Ranger pets use the same AI/pathing as enemies. I think “boss” AI is pretty much the same as standard enemy AI, only bosses tend to have different skills/‘mechanics’ that the underlying AI has available for use. Fixing enemy AI fixes ranger pets and bosses alike, so you should want ranger pets to get fixed.
