Anet, Can you please either release all of the abilities at once, or at the very least allow us the ability to reset them, the way we can traits. Trickling them in 1-2 at a time like this is horribly inefficient, especially when your still making changes to them.
I agree. It doesn’t make very much sense to say ,“Here have these powers” then bring lots of better ones later when people have already chosen from the previous list.
I understand that you are developing the concepts and releasing them as you make them up, but it would be good to have (very) occasional respec windows. I would advise that you space these out over long periods of time so that people take their choices seriously.
Like some others said, lower wvw map population levels, helps with unbalance and helps with lag. It may make people switch to lower pop servers to avoid que times.
Might not hurt to make an additional map or two for wvw.
But then the extra maps will have nobody from some servers on and from the other servers, lots of people – so that from one side it’s impossible to defend and from the other it’s boring PvED. Steamrolling is not fun for either side.
Celestial is for people who want a jack-of-all-trades/rubbish-at-everything build, depending on your perspective.

- We are a Medium pop server.
- We are facing a Very High pop server (AG).
- The other Medium pop server we’re facing (Miller’s) has bigger zergs than AG.
So your logic, in thinking that certain pop is always indicative of the WvW player-base, is flawed, I suppose.

Advice to budding developers (because Anet’s won’t learn): NEVER put stealth classes in a mulitplayer game.
Stealth is quite simply a gamebreaker that is no fun to come up against.
If matchups are going to continue to benefit a server that clearly stacked against the other two, leaving one server with no numbers and consistently outmanned.
Is anything being done about these matchups? anything at all?

I hope this is clear to understand.
Guilds are running without commander tags and telling their server-mates to leave them alone. The community is being torn apart.
Why?
Because the rally mechanic allows enemies to rally when one of you is killed.
If you are uplevelled or running in non-tanky gear and thus easier to down, your guild groups will resent you hanging out with them and this is the main reason they run with tags turned off.
Another reason you will find this attitude from guild groups is that you can’t hear their voice comms, meaning that you will die more easily and thus be an easy rally for the enemy.
The rally mechanic as it stands is breaking WvW communities. I think Arenanet need to address the issue.
In 8 months we’ve gained WXP (which broke things) and siege buffing trait lines. 8 months.

As a necro myself, I would say by running Stability, just like before. Our main answer to that, Corrupt Boon, is no longer guaranteed to strip off Stability, especially since Guardians very frequently have 6+ boons on them.

With the introduction of Tainted Shackles, we’ll also be adding a new condition to the game: Torment. This condition is designed to play around with movement, one of our fundamental combat mechanics. Enemies under Torment will take damage periodically; as they move, they’ll take even more damage.
Inspired by Turkey’s Standing Man, the new condition sounds as though it is meant to prevent movement. Can anybody give a decent explanation why they would introduce this? Is there not enough damage flying about in a battle?
I mean… why would you want to punish people for moving when running away is all they can do? At first glance, it seems like a horrible change.
Also, by giving this to mesmers and thieves, it seems they want the counter to these already top-tier classes to be even more of thieves and mesmers.

I’ve been reading a lot of topics and foruns about MF on GW2, and it looks like MF is not worth it at all, i mean, a gear only for MF. I already have a gear for PvE and dungeons, my main gear, and i was thinking in doing a gear only for MF, but all i’ve read till now just convinced me to not spend money and time on a MF gear.
So, is MF really works in this game? I know that MF only works on mobs.
There is a hidden luck stat on each character which matters much more than MF.
Me i’m doing Bifrost but as majority of people…..Miss only the precursor :‘( And Mystic forge isn’t my friend because doesn’t give anything.
Any advice because i begin to cry after 5 months of try :’(

You want to know how to fix the server matchups???
Remove the scoreboard from WvW entirely. Boom… Fixed… Done.. DAOC (the mother of WvW.. AKA… RVR) never needed a scoreboard. You kept score by who held what keeps at any given time. And it changed daily.
The scoreboard only servers as a way to show off your kitten & upset people that get stomped every week. Removing it can only help the game. This makes playing WvW more about being fun, in the moment, siege warfare. Less about points, stat whoring, and some virtual scoreboard that just kitten es people off every week.
Keep the scoreboard for in house use at ANET if to calculate matchups. But otherwise take it out of the game. People will kitten at first, but end up much happier for it.
Arenanet made the error decision to go with scoreboards and matchups rather than a perpetual battle with the same enemies. I can see how this would appear more appealing because it mixes the game up a bit, but the perpetual aspect of DAoC was what made it a lot of fun because the potential was there to hold a single keep forever if you were dedicated and powerful enough (even if that never happened).
Got everything for Juggernaut except precursor. It took bloody ages Given up again now.
I still think they’ll suddenly say, “Oh that precursor treasure hunt. Ye we shelved that months ago”. Quote me!

The new system is an embarrassment that Arenanet should be ashamed of. It produces awful, skewed matchups that aren’t as even or much fun as the previous system.

It still won’t work. If you use the oil, you get hit with a million AoE spells. You’ll be dead before you can use it.
At least the cannons can be fired once or twice before they kill you.
The real issue: zergs are too big. Doesn’t help the poor sap who bought Burning Oil Mastery tho.
They just have to reduce the map pop cap. Yes, I said it. The elephant in the room. It’s clear that when three huge zergs collide, people get skill lag. i.e. the system can’t cope.
Kill two birds with one stone by reducing the cap, forcing people to move to lower population caps because the queues are unbearably long.
Of course, it won’t happen. Some people are so desperate for glory that they would rather wait in a queue for two hours on a top tier server than move down the ladder and get instantly into any map they like. They’re idiots and deserve what they get (queues and skill lag).
Now, let’s get cracking on that cap, shall we?

On my server, consensus seems to be that we’d rather be back in Tier 7, not moving up or down. We never asked for this randomised enemy bull.

Title says it all. I know I enjoyed my old server matchup in T4. Yes, we won every week in points because of a strong oceanic presence, but in North American prime time, we’d have even numbers and sometimes be outmanned. Was fun. Going up 2 tiers on a “random” multiplier is the worst idea in the history of gaming.
No fun = no more GEM $ for Anet from me.
I agree with the OP. This matchup is shockingly poor. Perhaps over time it might change, but having tier 3 fight tier 7 is just boring for both sides. RNG is bad, mkay? It’s bad when it comes to the mystic forge, it’s bad when it comes to legendary weapons, it’s bad when it comes to everything!
