Successfully hiding in enemy keep after they captured it, then I made portal to get allies in, but sadly I placed my portal at wrong place so exit was out of range
I surely think MW damage is wrong, cause with one or none clones, with my illusionary perona (you create shatter on yourself) I can sometimes deal a 3k+(crit) shatter, but when I do it with 3+self, I get only 2-2.5k(per clone) with crit :/, damage is incorrect…?
I wanted to solo the lvl 80 champion risen king (cursed shore), but it ended up with me one guardian and a warrior taking it down :/
Noticed this, I’m also very happy with this fix
Never had a problem with farming at 80, to farm I usually run some dungeon or WvW(playing good and not die to often), event’s, FotM, etc.
Can happen that I run back to starter place just for fun

you’re at wrong subforum mate, try the “dungeon”, or “player helping player” section
Not a bug, you get buffs after two matchups, it’s working as intended
edit, you have to stay two weeks on same server(if you change exactly after matchup, if you change the day before, you will only have to stay one week, cause day after matchup will reset, means it’s now only one left, and at next matchup you get bonuses)

6 clones…, not possible for mesmer, and if you have a screen with the proof it would help alot, like with the combat history or similar.
Possible situation:
Enemy shatter with 3 clones up, then makes another 3, and make another shatter, it’s possible to make it look like 6 clones, if you use CoF (cry of frustration), makes some damage, and MW(mind wrack), also the mesmer can have a reset shatterskill trait (50%hp) or signet on activate.
Cant say it’s bad, for me it’s actually better than before, I fought some huge zergs and I could see them all, and I had huge problems before the patch with not seeing enemies.

Hmm, never tried the escape version, but the leap with blink and phase retreat is very good, comes in handy almost every time for me, hopefully I will try this leap/escape from thief or another enemy, think I may have done the thief escape thingy, in pvp, but not sure, but I definitely use blink and phase retreat in close order, to confuse a lot, I blink, then instant phase retreat, to make clone, and evade, or phase retreat and then blink behind them
you can just press attack #1, usually fixes issues like that, have you tried?
Happen to my mesmer, but then the animation is stuck, then you have to make several attacks to make it work…, and as it was in pve, you can use another skill like #2, to remove the channeled thingy from your bugged skill
Happen to me the other day as well, also a Elementalist, but I did finish him, after he ran away with vapor form, his downed HP ~50%, finish, but nope, finish animation played properly, but he was still alive, I died just because of that…, I could have at least gotten the kill?
This issue, yes, one ranger vs me (I play almost full burst damage), and for me I took down his health while underwater, so he get downed, then my second burst, takes his health to 50%, then I burst again but then his pet has healed him so my next burst will still deal the damage, but due to pet healing him, he will now have more than 50%, I think 60-80% actually, really frustrating cause he got rezzed then I got downed, though it was my kill, luckily I managed to rally, and somehow another ally and me managed to finish him, yet with loads of problem

In/on practice target, light/med/heavy, the stack won’t count, neither on the warr/mes/thief/etc proffesions, at practice area, but in pvp matches it will work….
Only a mesmer cannot stop to laugh like hell during a fight!

I have hard thinking swapping MirrorImg, with ArcaneThievery but I guess it work, I always have MirrorImg and Blink, my third utility depends on the situation, defense I often use portal to burst down enemy siege (catas& sometimes trebs), when I run with allies I swap this one to Decoy, of keep the portal, also Feedback is used when attacking enemy towers/keeps, also in defense if I see alot of invaders attack on the gate, I also change my elite to MassInvis or Timewarp. Or sometimes just Decoy for one extra clone sometimes, guess it’s not wrong testing ArcaneThievery.
Also about weapons nowadays I also have a focus so I can gain swiftness when running supply runs, I still run the staff and S/S, just swapping fast to focus and then back
I see this guide got sticked now, also my damage log (combat) think it say wrong… cause I know I do more than 10k shatter, but it says 1.8k*4 MW shatter… just a minor issue, also changed sigil of force to sigil of air, not that much of a difference, you get 1k lightning hit so just some more damage add
Only a Mesmer can teleport into objects and then become stuck
Only a thief can perma stealth inside a tower/keep(SM outer only), due to cloak and dagger issue, attack wall and no damage dealt and some trait with constant iniative regen, so they can “spam” it gaining constant stealth, then they can “rezz” a downed mesmer if they have one inside, this is the only possible way to do it I suppose, but remember the team that captures a structure to 99% mesmer sweep and then they leave one or two to guard the corpse to see nobody rezz them.
and if a thief perma stealth attack C&D, on a wall keep will get contested so you will know something is wrong though
Think the shatter AoE is 150 radius, or 175, not sure what
If they remove the AoE on MW, it will be totally ruined, only one target when you can see the blast around you if you have shatter effect on you as well, They will not remove it, but if they do, I will make another profession
I run pretty much glass/shatter in dungeons, only today I had problems due to “Server Delay”, which never occurred before…
Just when you learn your weakness you will play it easily I say, It took some time for me to get there, but now Im there, and I rarely die
Switched to RoF (Ring of fire), can’t even play, massive delay makes me wonder, and nothing wrong with my net, cause last day worked fine, and I switched from Piken square, to RoF, no delays whatsoever for me at PS, what is wrong?
Delay on messages can vary from 1-5 sec, but one of my las was ~20 sec… you can’t play with that amount of delay, so I request that I can switch server Asap, also this happen in fractals…

this issues made me quit last level fractal, due to we could not complete it, you ended up downed and then sometimes, even dead cause of the time server delayed.
Died 6 times in fractals due to this… I die sometimes 1 time during the run, but 6 times just too much

Finally I’m learning everything, your weakness etc, when to pull out, to still have done maximum damage but you still live, low health, get out of combat for 2 sec ~1/4 hp healed, and heal another 5-6k with eather feast, and you continue fighting, finishing the rest of them
also, them updates in different builds seems nice, cheers, guide that is better than this does not exist, so much details and the vids, you learn so much from them, so you can get a feeling of on how you shall do in combat, instead of:
“I run this build… etc..” now you know my build and can make exact the same… ehm no, cause they don’t describe like your vid’s how to deal with enemies, when to engage etc. what to do if outnumbered, etc. so many point of views people miss when they make a guide, but so far you have missed none
also working on getting ascended rings, I will also experiment with other sigils, thinking of swapping the sigil of force to a sigil of air, or to sigil of doom, I think it’s called (lifesteal sigil)
and for last, question:
Basilisk venom… does it prevent ppl from using “stun breakers”? like staff#2

But yes, it does NOT increase in damage per stack (oh the horrors of overpowered that would be xD), but per condi.

Do keep in mind that if the target has vulnerabilty well that the iwarlock like any other DD attack would get the 1% increase in dmg from each stack there too (mean 25+10 or 35% extra damage if 25 stacks of vuln)
Just made 25 bleed, 25 confusion and 25 vunl up, just to give a point in how OP it would be if they would also do for each stack, and I have managed to get 25 vuln, ~10 conf and 10 bleed, using 3 clones, with trait bleed on crit, and then shatter “daze” and with trait dazing also cause 5 stack of confusion, and also all shatter gives confusion, makes confusion shatter on daze, and 2 confusion stack on cry of frustration

It won’t reset your levels, but you will not gain benefit from WvW bonuses, until staying for 2 matchups (2 weeks), also If you are in a guild you will not have any guild bonuses as they are only applied to your server you are on, so you have to “reupgrade” guild at that server, but remember if moving back to your old server, you still need to wait 2 matchups for WvW bonus, and your guild upgrades on that old server will still be there
Always have mirror images and blink, and change my last one to a skill I may need on that level, like the swamp map, I use portal as last skill, can also change to some other skill in the boss fight after
yh, checked in the mist, with 3 condition it does ~3.5k for me, so I may have wrong saying ~5 of them in first case, just a matter of timing I say :O, enemy has 10 different conditions is screwed pretty much anyways, also I might have might buff so say 1750 dmg, I would get somewhere my target in my first post, I can imagine this vs glass thief…

would imagine how op if it did for each stack, 25, of vuln, bleed, and confusion would give 750% increased damage -> ~1500*8.5=12750 without crit -> ~35k with 75% extra critical damage. That would be OP

kk, just curious cause I did 9k with it in a couple of min ago
and there are 11 conditions, and according to my calculation my warlock does 1500 dmg without crit, and my critical damage is 75% extra -> if I have 10 condition I get 3000 not with crit, and (calculation said this) 8250, therefore I was unsure :P
and I am pretty sure we did not have 11 condition (all of them on enemy), ~5 of them

Have a question about Iwarlock, it does 10% more dmg, for each condition, does it count to 250% extra for 25 vulnerability stack or will it only count for one?

as i said, every class has its pro’s and cons. like for example i dont think its fair that if me and a ranger both get downed the ranger will always win because he has his pet to revive himself. i dont think its fair that if i kill a guardian in the jumping puzzle he does his knockback, throwing me off the cliff… me falling to my death and him getting a rally. and a warrior who dies and does vengeance has all his skills available and just does his incredible high damage burst combo all over again while i was already on low hp from defeating him. you cant change everything to the way you like. you have the option to play an elementalist to if you so desire.
If a warrior goes vengeance just don’t get hit, and if you know he will make his “uber”-combo, why don’t you run away?, stun him, he will waste 1-3 sec of vengeance and run away, he will finally fall, never had a problem with this actually, and don’t fight a warrior that goes vengeance if you have low HP, or you can fight him, just know what you need to do, if you cannot stun, why not stealth and run away?
for those who can’t think: i suggest to nerf the warrior’s ability to keep fury up :P
And no its not a bad whine it’s simply unfair in relation to the other professions.

Saw your latest, some nice tips when defending camps, thanks for them, I need to learn, but I have no problem defending camp vs 3 people, but I can burst one down, and then there is just enough chaos, and the two other can run away in fear lol, but your tip is that you save burst til right moment, I go directly, depends on classes you are against, like glass thief, you may want to burst him down before he can make any hueg damage to you.

If they are alive, I don’t see why not? I’m pretty sure their downed teleport thingy can’t go through the portals like Mist Form.

Shatter #3 they do run to foe, shatter #4 does not, cause it give disortaion, but if you have trait Illusionary Retribution, all shatter can make confusion, and you make #4 close to foe, he will get one stack of confusion <- requires Illusionary Persona – shatter effect applies to you aswell, also work with a clone close to opponent and then hit #4
Edit, checked that shatter #4 does not make confusion when shattering close to foe
Also sword skill #4 (offhand), Illusionary Ripsote, the block last for 2 second, but the block icon coming up when using skill, shows 4 sec, but disappear when it’s 2 sec, so nothing wrong with skill, just with the icon tooltip.

My fights with burst thieves tend to last about 5 secs or less, unless my confusion shatter is on CD. Also, works with just about any burst class/build.
My thief fights usually last one second
either me dead or he is dead, but often them is dead
Honestly, stay calm. That’s the best PvP advice I can give anyone, ever. Once you fight a few bursty thieves and really figure them out, it helps tremendously if you don’t freak out when you see them cloak.
As for in-game, the staff is your friend. It’s useful in virtually every build – I never go anywhere without one. It’s great for mobility, survival, and buff/debuff. Even without blink, you can get away while producing a clone that can eventually be used for damage, confusion, dazing, or a moment of invuln.
Cool head + experience + staff = thieves will always ends up stealthing away from you.
Because every thief is a kitten.
yeah, I usually notice that when you take things cool and steady, enemy thief will fall, wait, til right moment, then counterattack, profit, or they run away regretting what they did
And sometimes there are moment’s you just can’t do a kitten, and you die, like when you get turned into stone, and then insta killed

It does. My Asura Thief gets her butt kicked by channeled crap continuously. Now, the big differences are: Thief Stealth is generally instant-on, and definately links better than Mesmer’s. For instance (even not counting the Culling-Beast: Thieves can be almost perma-sneaky. We are not so lucky.) I’ve fought Thieves who blip out long enough to hit a few times, and then re-cloak. Their Stealth definately target-drops more often, besides the channeled bit.
In general, before fixing the channeled attack issue, we’d need culling dealt with … better target dropping for non-channeled attacks + faster stealth would = Thieves rockin fools like Predator. And it’s not even technically their fault, a lot of their stealth is low duration, they just have more access.
Usually don’t have problem vs thief, but sometimes I really struggle to take them down, sometimes I have to retreat due to I know I can’t down him and if I continue he will kill me instead, this to rendering issue, thus you can see when stealth drops, but they ain’t rendered until 1-3 sec later, depends on amount of enemy in the area and unrendered things, fighting zerg v zerg and you don’t see any enemy is worst part for me, I never like them moments, but I like the battles where enemy is rendered thou (also zerg v zerg)
Your character will still be invisible but it looks like you are visible, and another problem is channeled skills like ranger rapid fire, you cloak and it will still hit you
defiantly a guild tag on mesmer clones, the fighting clones have guild tag so suppose it won’t be that hard to fix
FYI if you DEL your GW2.dat file you also del all the patches sense launch and have to redo all settings . and it still doesn’t fix it.

Also the sound bug, has something with event complete and zerg v zerg, happen to me last day :/, exact time when capturing sentry, zerg fight near sentry at briar tower, hope you know where, For me to get sound bug I had some what unrendered enemies, and completing the capture sentry, may work with camp/tower/keep and castle, how it happens it unknown, either some “exceptions”, I’e “Error” due to unrendered and capturing, this causes sound bug?, dunno why, but could be an explination.

playing today, enemy was unrendered for a long while, also saw a lot of “feedback” bubbles, etc. then bam sound issue…

For once I had a epic zerg v zerg fight, around 50 kills when checking with WvW total kills, before and after, and died 4 times
, them deaths where due to some failing moves
roughly I use staff only in a zerg v zerg
