So… basically I’m noticing the casual WvWers and the PvE achieve grinders are the ones complaining about the lackluster rewards. While the hard core WvWers are sitting there saying “Eh, we knew it was gonna be s**ty rewards. WvWers never get anything worthwhile.”

I’m a hardcore WvWer and the achievement chest was terrible. The historical lack of rewards in WvW is also terrible. It’s possible to enjoy WvW and simultaneously want to be rewarded for it; defending ArenaNet’s stingy rewards is hurting the game in the long run — it doesn’t make you a cool dude to claim you’re indifferent.

By the way some of these people are acting, I’m pretty sure these “hardcore” WvWers are all wearing blues considering how much they hate getting rewarded for doing anything.

It’s because of the inherent disadvantage on an enemy borderlands that your home borderland and EB are mostly populated by pugs. The former is ironic given the almost inevitable 2v1 you’ll receive.

No, it won’t.

Every server taking a hit means the ranks will be the same, except with fewer people playing on each server. There’s no reason to believe that T1 loses 90% of its players, and T5 only loses 5%, and suddenly SoS is T1 material.

If anything, the obscenely large overall population of all T1 servers + TC will act as a buffer and ensure they never drop tiers in the event that a lot of players move on to a hot release of another game. (That game won’t be ESO, it’s garbage.)

Yes, the committee has changed the “not buying guilds” stance because a majority of the guilds represented said go ahead. On how the committee is represented it’s been repeated many times through channels and server reset meetings. Again, there’s no secret. No high/war council, it’s just a simple setup of committee to help the community and Indo has given his blessings and still remains the Speaker.

I am sorry that you feel excluded. Hope to see you in game more often.

There’s no point in merging servers…

People complain about WvW because the other team has more players than them, not because they want more players. Many were happy with the state of low tier servers, their main selling point back when there were tiers were low queues and less zerg oriented combat. People want to be matched fairly, but that’s not possible in the League format. As close as we are ever going to get is back to the original ladder.

That’s what people want. They just didn’t realize it when they started complaining that match ups were stale. What we got were blow outs and people wishing they had a match that resembled the matches they were “stuck” in during Ladder.

All the Commanders on BG expect 50% Longbow Rangers, 25% Thieves and 25% turret engis.

Jade Quarry has no moral footing to stand on. They had the easiest draw, they spent 20,000 gold buying guilds before the season, and they still failed.

Jade Quarry has the coverage to match Blackgate. In the easy matchups, their maps were queued throughout the day, but they chose not to show up when it mattered.

Perhaps next season, Jade Quarry’s gold would be better spent on buying some server pride….

JQ did not have to do anything to keep ATM because ATM was never leaving in the first place.

JQ did not buy MERC, we had approached them at one point in an attempt to get more than 30 people on between 12pm cst and 5 am cst and nothing came of it. Weeks later, things were rekindled and while some gold was given to help get them over, MERC paid for themselves to transfer.

I get why people on SOR and JQ hate some BG so much, I mean for heavens sake were only 1 day into it and yall are claiming champion this, and undefeated that crap. No offense guys but we all know what is going on with seasons. Just get out there and enjoy a HEALTHY T1 matchup with fights and good strategy around every corner. If you venture out of this thread and to other other threads on this forum, you will realize that the BG chest thumping actually gets worse than this. Regarding the matchup, at this moment, there’s nothing JQ and SOR can do especially that IRON has left SOR. If you notice, BG takes over the lead once again during EU time. It’s the weekends so NA can probably log in earlier, but during weekdays, it’s another 4 to 5 hours of uncontested capping by BG. Let’s hope season 2, both JQ and SOR can get a few EU guilds to make this time zone a little more competitive.

There was a time when BG/SoR/JQ were no different in terms of how bad their chest thumpers and trolls are…. But, IRON being self-banned from forums and then transferring, and JQ losing Seasons and their trolls… The only ones left are mostly BG. BG won PvF Season 1, too.

(I have to hand it to IRON, though. They were dedicated trolls. Unlike JQ fairweather trolls who showed up the 20 something hours when JQ had the lead and disappeared when JQ lost it in Week 5.)

I think we missed a grand opportunity with BG winning seasons. The forums would be alight with trolling if JQ ended up winning with their schedule, and chest thumping if SoR won with “we play for fights but we ended up winning wow such community”.

I think BG winning was probably the most generic fuel for the chest thumpers and trolls to feed off of. Very tame compared to what could have happened.

Queues are so short/non existent tonight. Y’all need more holidays.

As Merc transfered over your server had his timeout week. So you are right you got destroyed, but that had nothing to do with Merc transfering over, but you not showing up – as your own people stated.

You got EE and PLX in exchange for Merc. I think we got the better deal, because Merc and it’s commanders is worth a lot more than EE and PLX, because they haven’t skilled deep into ragequitting and complaining traits.

PLX were fully in BG already when MERC left.

&coming into leagues BG was the underdog as stated by both SoR and JQ before Week 1.
