I just manually put everything in a spreadsheet dedicated to GW2. Simple formulas built in to calculate the other stuff.

My spreadsheet (which was originally based on some other person’s work) consists of:
-Metaevent tracker for up to 6 characters
-Crafting calculator (i.e. you want to craft 70 rare greatswords – how much is it going to cost you in mat amount and gold?)
-Purchasing history and trend

Not worth the +100g fee going to waste if you get undercut by a lot.

Highly unlikely they will re-release it.

What I’m confident they will do is release new themed unlimited use picks.

if the issue is not looks then why mention Legendaries? That’s the whole pont of a legendary – the look.

We haven’t been introduced to ascended weapons so you can’t make the argument that this is about stats.

Actually the value of legendaries go up. It’s harder to make them now.

And you must always understand that there is a risk for balance patches. It’s as guaranteed as bots and gold sellers in MMOs.

When you decided to commit that much gold to a legendary, you understood those risks.

Yeah it stinks, but what are you going to do about it? Request that Anet stick to the skills/traits in this game forever? No balancing required?

I suggest you farm the gold itself. You cannot reliably farm any specific item now due to DR.

Run cof1 if you have a zerk warrior/mes or farm meta events to generate gold.

As for potents or powerful, it’s really a crapshoot. If you have enough SP to use, then by all means

No, the mention of the home instance just made us all very excited (after that interview earlier).

Well the home instance has been here since release so it’s nothing new.

We don’t know how their fiscal calendar works. Some companies such as mine start in February and Q3 doesn’t start until August.

Disapponted that there wasn’t a whole lot mentioned about rewards. That’s what this game is serious lacking now.

I personally buy the axe for the infinite uses, not for any silly animation.

You know what would really have been nice?

You would get quartz nodes from cities. So that you’d actually have people walking around the whole map.

But keeping it just in the home instance? Not sure how that is beneficial.

I like the idea of achievements having rewards attached. I might have to give up my attachment to the idea of experiencing all the new game content as it comes out though. Every two weeks is much to fast for me to keep up with.

I’m sorry to tell you bro but there are no events that people are farming now.
This is coming from a hardcore farmer who farmed enough for three legendaries.

New players are going to have a tough time starting from scratch getting these legendaries.

The only things to farm in this game now are dungeons
So Cof1, TA, CoE.

But none of those touch the gold/rate of the old shelt/pen except Cof1, and Cof1 is only efficient for mesmers/warriors who need to invest the +50/60g for zerk gear.

Of course you can also farm meta events but you need to be smart about that and not waste time @ events like fire shaman for jormie.

The above are the only ones pre dragon coffers and they both went up big time. After the event they increase, then they drop a good ammount and then they steadily rise over the months.

Its not a day to day trade. But give it a few months and you COULD win big time.

Waiting a few months is too long, especially when you don’t make a huge profit on each item. Opportunity costs are huge in here and investing all your gold in one item will make you miss out on other short-term opportunities.

You would have to invest a lot of gold in order for this to be worthwhile, and even then, coffers would be a buyer’s market.

There would be thousands of coffers hoarded by sellers, but how about the buyers? Jade skins aren’t exactly alluring and Arenanet seems to be willing to keep releasing new content and skins.

The demand for Jade skins could drop as low as the SAB skins.

tldr:
I would not invest in Coffers because
-profit opportunity is limited and long-term, so opportunity costs are relevant here
-price for coffers will largely be driven by demand, and since these are lacklustre skins, it will be limited
-Arenanet is constantly putting out new content and skins. Jade skins could be viewed as obsolete when Anenanet releases more alluring skins.

I sold my SAB inventory of 5 staves, 2 GS and 5 shields at a significant loss. The GS I lost 40g a piece, the staves about 15-20g and the shields I don’t remember.

I overestimated the number of people who hoarded them.

Oh well. This still doesn’t put a dent into my overall profits on the TP.

NOTE: As long as the skins never return to the game through SAB, the price will always go up. But the opportunity cost and the time it will take to rise is just too large that it’s not worth the wait.

Thats why I suggest Anet to give you a ‘token’ each time you dont end up with a ticket.

If you’re unlucky enough to fail 30 times but still have 30 tokens, you can then trade in those 30 tokens for 1 ticket. So you have a guarantee of getting at least 1 ticket for 30 chests.

And this will prompt more people to spend on the shop incase they were lucky enough to get a ticket. Lets say you open 15 chests and get a ticket – Sweet! Then the player will say to himself "I already have 15 tokens…let me gamble 15 more chest and hope I get a 2nd ticket so that these tokens aren’t put to waste)

Here’s a protip that I use for buying Icy Runestones (whenever you get prompts)

Drag the prompt box so that the confirm button is directly over the actual item.

This way all you have to do is double click. Rather than click to buy then move your cursor to click again.

Also (and I don’t consider this botting or exploiting macros)

There is software out there that can bind your left-click to your scroll wheel button.

Anet discourages multiple actions per stroke – i.e. left click and it does two actions at once.

But technically, the scroll wheel is 1 action per click on the scroll wheel. So you could raise your clicks-per-minute with a scroll wheel 10-fold.

Easy:
-buying in extreme bulk doesn’t happen nearly as often as it warrants the time invested programming it
-buying in extreme bulk is very risky for the buyer, especially when there are wide differences in price listings
-buying in extreme bulk could produce some disastrous mistakes (imagine a player inadvertently adding one 0 and buying 900 more items than he intended)

Buying 1462 cupcakes is painful? That’s 6 clicks of the mouse. That doesn’t even trigger the BLTC anti-spam error.

So shame on a corporation trying to make money?

If you look at each update, the BLTC only makes a small portion of it. But please, do care to ignore all the content updates that have been included and make it seem like the gemshop is the ONLY reason why we have these updates.

You can never please everybody. I think Anet should just hand you a precursor for logging in (and throw a few gems at you for good measure) just to satisfy you.

I think ArenaNet might be quickest dev I have seen when it comes to patches. This can be a good thing when bugs are quickly fixed and new features are added. However, a lot of problems can also result.

I was wondering, why did they implement torment? There are so many conditions already (maybe too many), some of which aren’t very useful, yet they find the need to come up with a new one? ANet needs to know that when you roll out something that isn’t well planned out, you can’t go back; you can’t just remove this condition now.

Another thing is that they are far too quick to react to is ‘balance’ changes. Thieves have been nerfed in every major balance patch and now they have no 1200 range skill. Now that they are handicapped in WvWvW, ANet will have to patch in some other changes to balance it… again. Warriors never get better, eles get buffed etc.

My advice is to stop and think it through. Make changes that are actually useful, like a party finder, instead of ways to make money in your cash shop.

I’m curious to hear how a balance patch which fixes traitlines somehow funds their cash shop.

You aren’t differentiating the difference between skins and armors, that’s your problem.

Also, you CAN acquire the skins through normal gameplay and without spending real $ – use gem conversion.

Gamers are naturally spoiled, especially MMO players, so of course people won’t be happy about it.

As soon as patch day hits, you’ll hear complaints of “that’s it?” or “how come you didn’t introduce/fix X” or “WHEN IS THE SCAVENGER HUNT COMING?!!?”

And this is why I don’t bother doing Jormag unless someone tells me it’s on 2nd phase.

The time you spend on Jormag you could be doing other quick metas, such as wurm, golem, FE or Maw.

But give it extremely high costs or concequences, like you have to delete the char you want to get the item from or something. Just something to transfer those rare items you have obtained. I like sPvP a lot, PvP is actually one of the strongest points of this game, but when I can hop into the Mists as an 80, but have to go through a load of BS to do the same for PvE it’s kinda like “wtf.”

Comon dude, you know there is a difference between PvE and sPvP.

sPvP allows everyone to start on equal footing. It rewards players based on SKILL. That’s the whole pont of sPvP.

PvE allows people to progress through the game through time-invested. That’s why we have levels and other restrictions such as gear and skill ponts.

Otherwise, what is the point of an MMO when everything is handed to you? Why would you want to play this game when everything is available as soon as you log-in?

I want them from RNG chests, either from a dungeon or a BL chest. Rare drop rate is key.
