Skinnyb it’s not pve so they don’t care. They have cabbage patches to fix.

Stun breakers, cc, stability, kite ability, Any of these basically full counters them and renders them useless. It’s a gimmick build for abusing bad players that don’t carry stun breakers, etc. It’s also not advised to duel them unless you know how to counter one trick ponies.

Gw2 endgame pve content:

1. Make a legendary weapon.
2. ….that’s it.

If you don’t wvw, spvp, or rp, there is nothing to do once you hit 80. You could do fractals but it’s ithe same thing over and over, so boring.

You’re supposed to be going to other areas, harvesting nodes, helping other players, doing events, etc. if you just quest hop and do nothing else, yeah you’ll be behind. Try killing a few mobs for bonus xp once in a while too.

Didn’t have any issues with any of my characters. You’re doing something wrong.

I don’t want my time further wasted by extra confirmation windows just because people are randomly clicking the buttons on the tp. I plan out my purchases carefully, as anyone should.

After you play for a while you will just know what good crits are for certain skills. A target with a lot of toughness will get hit for much less, so no, percentage wouldn’t tell you if it was a good crit.

16 characters. Over 3k hours of playtime. I’ve never bought a dye that cost more than 1gold. There is no point for me. I will continue to not buy any dyes until I have nothing else to spend money on, or ARENANET finally makes our dyes account bound.

It has been a year. Don’t you have a gazillion dyes anyway just from drops? And if not, look at the Trading Post. There are TONS of super-cheap dyes to keep you happy.

Or maybe they should not click random buttons while viewing expensive items in the tp. If they are accidentally buying stuff now… They must have been already doing it a lot before. I’m not color blind but I know how much of a huge issue this is. +1 for colorblind mode. This is pretty standard in modern video games. Even lower budget free to play games like world of tanks have it.

So many things incorrect in OP post i don’t have time to address them all. Rifle is a support weapon. It’s not your job as a rifle warrior to kill people, it’s your job to down them or force them to leave the engagement. Volley and killshot are brutal. Time them with bleed stacks for 10% more damage and brutal shot, then signet of might kill shot 50% hp guardians for an easy down, and then their friends all die. Killshot stealthing thieves, easy down. Piercing volley or kills hrs on people who try to res friends….. So strong.

The reason people think its bad is because it’s hard to play in unorganized pug matches. With an organized team you can absolutely wreck enemy teams, but you need protection.

It’s also very very good in wvw but requires a high skill level to survive and reach maximum dps via positioning and timing skills correctly. There is currently nothing better to kill enemy commanders with. Killing an enemy commander can completely disintegrate enemy zergs. Masking your killshots is one of the biggest things you need to learn in smaller engagements. My favorite is when someone goes to gank a dolyak, channel your Killshot from inside the dolyak, and they never see it. Very entertaining. Even with a full zerg build I’ve often found myself able to duel decent players, it’s all about timing. People also still know nothing about signet of might, many players will pop a reflect skill when you channel Killshot, and then sit there waiting to see you Killshot yourself. Pop signet of might at the last minute and then /dance on their bodies afterwards.

Recommend condition duration reduction food, and stat stacking to ensure that with 25 precision stacks you have 90% chance to crit guaranteeing that your Killshot will crit every time. Full dps everything isn’t the way to go, as you can’t dps if you’re dead. Add a touch of survivability and you will be able to do far more dps than a full dps specd rifle warrior. The food increases your tankyness a LOT. You can get away with 3-5 pieces of knights gear if placed in the right spots.

Wear Zerk gear, run cleansing ire and quick breathing. Faceoll the competition. It’s incredibly strong right now. Recommend lb + sword warhorn. Yak signet, endure pain.

Anyone with half a brain can look at the focal point of that screen shot (the character’s back) and see something isn’t right. And I certainly hope the developers would see it and think “wait; we didn’t design the flamethrower kit to have glowing blue dragon wings….”

When you have over 3k hours played, and still no wvw achievements or precursors obtained.

You know you’ve played too much wvw when you blast finish lightning fields in lions arch without noticing.

16 level 80s. No wvw abilities for me, even though I am a hardcore wvw player. Nice reward system anet.

My yak slapper is still at 0% and I have killed over 1900 supply dolyaks.

Please god no don’t let people dye weapons. If you ever do this, please make it restrictive.

-metal parts can be colored metal colors, like various gray tones, gold, dark steel, etc.

I find sometimes I have to left click 2-4 times before it will even deselect. It’s gotten me killed before when I assume it will deselect on first click, then I use a leap skill and fly at the enemy and they murder me….

I just click on the item again and it takes me back. Never had an issue accidentally buying things on the tp, not sure how you would do that.

I wondered why they didn’t make it 1000 when they lowered it, at least it still made sense that a ranger would have more range with a short bow. 900 is just a kick in the nuts.

1. No point in getting into that here. It’s my opinion as well as many others that Warrior is definitely the underdog in this game for sPvP. Please refer to those forums for all the reasons listed, then check out the one million QQ threads about them in the Warrior section. I personally try to stay away from such topics, and already regret inputting my comment about them in my original post. But Warrior’s are not nearly as good as their GW1 counterparts due to gameplay mechanics, skills, and the current Meta.

Fortunately or unfortunately a LOT of people play warrior, therefore there is a large percentage of bad warriors out there. A lot of young gamers seem to also like warrior, and don’t know or don’t care to know much about creating viable builds. These people complain a lot about things they know nothing about. Cleansing ire combo’d with quick breathing right now is so incredibly strong it’s ridiculous.

These warriors you talk so much about get themselves stuck in one opinion by trying to use bad spvp weapons like greatsword. But saying that warrior is not good in spvp is 100% wrong. In fact the daze stun mace shield hammer build is incredibly strong right now, gimmicky, but strong. Longbow is also crazy good.

Traits proc’ing while using siege was a bug. So by your definition it was an exploit. Thanks for proving my point.

Would be cool. And has been suggested before. What happens when someone uses 2 sets of the same weapon though? Like 2 hammers? Or 2 sets of daggers? I guess the two handed could be angled different ways, but I don’t know what you would do about main and offhand weapons.

In combat would be easy enough to manage, but sheathed weapons would get weird fast.

I always wished the engineer was like a Sapper and able to erect small cover, ditches etc. would love it if there was a class specific for wvw support operations. But that will never happen. We will just get more of these wvw abilities so everyone can be part of the same blanket.

Problem being, they’d start ending up in a role like what mesmers have now: “You must run THIS ONE spec or else!” No choice in utilities or even weapon sets because of the importance on veil and portal. Do we really want to subject engineers to the same thing?

You’re not forced. Veil and portal don’t require specific weapons.

Yup that’s the point. If they removed the global cool downs of everything we could expect exploits again like leg specialist arrow carts.

It wasn’t an exploit, just a temporary feature.

Can’t call something an exploit since it wasn’t the players fault that happened. I ran with leg specialist all the time because it was a really good trait for a warrior cc build. It wasn’t my fault that just because I got on a arrow cart that my leg specialist worked. I also wasn’t on the arrow cart all that much either.

Bugs work through, not our fault that happens and I’m not going to change my character just to satisify you people that like to call this an exploit.

An exploit is when your take advantage of something not intended to work the way it does. In your same mindset people using windowed mode in order to use arrow carts and shoot magical arrows into impossible areas is ok and not an exploit. Do you chant “not my fault! Not my fault!” as you rain down obviously-not-exploited magical arrows through 30 feet of solid stone to kill interior siege?

EDIT: ooh and remember when there was that temporary feature where you could duplicate any piece of siege endlessly as many times as you wanted? Definitely not an exploit.

EDIT 2: ooh and that temporary feature where you could use the tunneling town clothes item to walk into towers and keeps.

Engineer smoke bomb is quite lackluster when compared to a skill like thief pistol offhand black powder. smoke bomb has a longish cool down, and procs very few blinds. Where as black powder can be used multiple times, and procs a LOT of blinds.

The field is also not that much larger than black powder for tactical purposes, even when traited.

My suggestion is just to make it proc a few more blinds. Or maybe nerf the amount of blinds black powder can proc. So they are a little more in line with each other.

No, cost is part of “simple and easy”. You’re totally ignoring the fact that most people don’t have the near infinite in-game money that you apparently have.(16 character slots, don’t worry about construction time – just throw money at it) For most individuals in the game, I’d wager getting that much influence is not so “simple and easy”.
Besides, I don’t want to spend in-game (or real life) money to make a poor workaround for options that got taken out of the game. The wallet is great in many respects, but it does change things in ways that work against how some people want to play. And over-spending because of lag or key-bounce is still an issue, except for people who have near infinite in-game money.(Which certainly isn’t me or anyone I know.)

Cost has no relation to difficulty. It has relation to convenience.

I don’t spend real money on the game, and I’ve never had more than 100gold. Been playing since the start. You’re making assumptions. I’m always low on money.

I earned the influence for my personal guild bank allll by myself without buying any.

If you have enough money that you need to bank it, you can probably afford the 10 gold and a day or 2 of build time. Less time if you spend a little more.

Yes, you can buy influence(Which costs 2.5 gold or 16 laurels – if you have it to spare.) But no, you cannot have it immediately. Construction is 4 days, if you time it and set up the item to be constructed right after the previous one has finished. (Or pay for the Guild Workshop, which is another 500 influence and 2 days construction time.)

But you can speed up build items. So yes, you can have it immediately.

You don’t automatically get guidl storage with a guild. You have to spend influence in Arhcitecture level 1(5,000), and then again for the first level of guild storage.(1,000 more if I recall correctly) So it’s not as simple as “Just go make your own guild.”

It is actually that simple, you can buy influence and have it immediately.

Learn self-control! It’s a useful life skill as well.

The system they just made is probably just the old bank system made portable, hence why the other was removed. More than likely they would need to create a whole new banking system to " bring back" the old one

So your suggestions are for them to dumb down the controls which are already quite simplistic so you don’t have to learn how to not accidentally mash incorrect keys? You want to play with 1 hand it sounds like. The day someone can play this game with 1 hand…. Well that will just have meant they ruined all the skill-base for me and I will leave.

I suggest changing move/ strafe to wasd. Change 6-0 to shift+1-6. Change profession skills to q e r t. Change auto run to g. Put target next and target nearest on your mouse. Disable the checkbox that makes you run into mobs.
