People forget, that alot of these weakneses can be circumvented with Sigils and Runes..
So listing something like…no permanent 25% speed boost is ridiculous, when all you have to do is using the right rune set for example to get permanent 25% running speed.
And then theres 2 trait lines still missing, under whioch alot of the thigns could be put under, that are listed here.Protection and Regeneration can be also circumvented with Runes if you prefer that over running fast, which isn’t needed anyway, when you play in a group that can provide aoe swiftness, like running in a WvW zerg where you basically have permanently swiftness and other buffs from the permanent aoe buffs everyone around you is using …
The rev doesn’t need condi removal alot, therefore is the Mallyx Stance, that makes you more powerful and receive heals so more conditions are on you…
Due to the heavy condition meta in GW2, having always mallyx with you is imo pretty much a must.

Anet needs to stop trying to make interrupt builds a thing, its not going to become a thing.
If you’re having trouble with interrupt builds it’s because you’re bad at it, not that the interrupt build/gameplay is bad in itself. You’ve just confused the two.
PVE is braindead as it is, I do not see the problem making Interrupt mesmers a thing, PVP and WvW is where the skill art of interrupting shines not PVE.
And while you are wasting time trying to interrupt people a Celestial ele has come in killed everybody in the area including allies and then ran off to go capture the other two points.

mallyx is way too risky to play with, and i would – and will probably hate fighting necros as revenant..
as for the tanky legend, the taunt uses half ur energy bar, but its pretty strong, and a nice way to set up a dmg spike
u use ur taunt skill , swap legend to get energy back, then u got 3 s to do whatever u want ! unless enemy stunbreaks~
also , the stability change is kind of like a buff to necro i guess? terrormancer.

Mallyx’s healing skill is literally a carbon copy of Consume Conditions, with the added bonus that it grants Resistance. I didn’t get to see all of the utility skills, but I feel like it could potentially wreck this profession if they don’t significantly change things in HoT.

Just run either SA d/p and p/p or panic strikes with smokescreen, shadow step, and refuge. Not that hard. Gear is up to you. As for me being a forum warrior, I lol’ed. Obviously I’m talking about mesmer build diversity here. Power shatter has been the only viable tPvP build pretty much since launch. So, what would bring other builds in play in high tier tournaments? My take on this is (like it is pretty much the case with all professions, ranger aside) that our profession specific trait line gives too much utility and damage compared to other traitlines. Greatly reduced shatter cooldowns, reduced illusion cooldowns, great synergy with other traits in other traitlines and even more damage.
My own suggestion is to reduce the base cooldown of shatters, but nerf the bonus recharge rate of the Illusions trait line from 5%/pt to 3%/pt (max 30%->18%). Base shatter cooldowns would be reduced as follows:
Mind Wrack 15 -> 12
Cry of Frustration 30 -> 20
Diversion 45 -> 35
Distortion 60 -> 50This change would bring lockdown and shatter builds closer in terms of the superior utility that shatters bring. Maybe something else needs to be done, like a flat out buff to lockdown? Maybe increase base hp of phantasms so they dont die in 2 seconds to Aoe/cleave? IMO phantasms would still need a redesign to really be useful in tPvP. Relying too much on AI is just never a good thing. What do you think?

I used to primarily use D/F but since the burning speed nerf it’s just not worth it anymore imo. I rarely find myself using it because the difference in DPS from staff is extremely noticeable. :/

As for dungeon, I thought it was well known that they are oowned by the holy trinity guardian/warrior/Elementalist. Every other class (sadly) are optional..
If you’re only running war, ele and guardian you’re doing it wrong.
NB: cornering, except maybe for AC run, is still the best way to ease some fight mechanics like SE Alfa aoe. FGS was just usefull to hide player that don’t know how and when they have to dodge.
I specifically said against bosses when the only benefit was the fact that you were using the FGS. There are several bosses where cornering is beyond useless, and could potensially hurt the party’s dps if you’re running with thieves and rangers who both benefit from flanking.
- Ingeneer is a jake of all trade but sligthly harder to play that can fullfill an ele spot or a thief spot

- Rangers add a bit more dps but have it’s own issue (for example, newbie have a hard time controling their pet and even a hard time restraining themselve to not overusing LB#4)

u first get 2-3k hp, when putting down turret, ofc u double tapped, now u gotta wait 1-2 s, then u get another 2-3 k hp, now u detonate, so after the 2nd healproc, if u pay attention
the water field duration is 2-3 seconds on turret, and 1 s on tool belt

I can not hear the argument that every class need some weaknesses.
Look at the meta builds. Warrior has 43 condi removals per minute without using sigils on shoutwarrior. This build is absoult playable
Ele has without any change to have a good condition removal 19 per minute. If you go for contional removal you can go up to 45 per minute and still 25 stacks of might and all other stuff.
Condition ranger has 19 + dodge removes poison and blindness (so lets say 25). If you take 3 survival skills you can have 30 condition removals.
All builds are absolut meta builds
Look at the engi. The engi has 10 per minute. (healing turret has a cooldown 15 – 20 and if you place and pick it up it takes too long to have it more than 4 times per minute).
Even if you try to create a condition removal build with only elixirs and you have 26 condition removals per minute. And this build with 5 elixirs is not playable not even in hotjoin.
So I guess a buff to EG would be more than fair.

ele is rly heavily boon reliant, mesmers or necros got it easy against em, ranger? if condi i do have to agree they r sturdy, but their dmg is low if ur enemy knows what to dodge, power rangers die in a single hit anyway, warrior wich spec?, guard if medi, they r good in 1v1 ya, but terribad in teamfights, bunker guards r like any other bunker, it takes time to kill em, but u get em, they dont do any dmg to u in return tho.

I’m halfway gearing my full zerker engie when it hit me, is full assassin engie viable in wvw or zerker?
I do not see why you would WANT to build full glass on an Engi.
Why :
Might is SOOO easy to get on them when you have the sustain to build it.
They do not have sustained DPS. More burst. Other than Bomb1 and Nade1, which isn’t ideal with full zerk gear as its ground targeting.
SO much healing skills that will help a LOT to get SOMETHING that sinargizes well with it, Toughness/Healing power.So just wondering how you plan to survive?
Unless you plan on Zerging mostly, in which case the question is pointless as ANY DPS build will work in a Zerg.If you run a Static Discharge setup you got a very high amount of burst without really missing out on utility that much. It’s (still) a very effective setup in WvW and I have had great succes with it.
Pretty sure you run something to keep you alive instead of Full Zerker/Assassin?
a lot of engis (not only engis) run full glass in wvw (roaming) and have great sucess w it, u use active defence to survive (dodges, blocks, cc, etc) , or some builds (check that boom montages in ytb) kill enemy b4 they can kill u

Okay first things first. It all depends of the fact – which legendaries / ascended weapons-gear are you willing to craft or looking forward to crafting.
You will need Weapon smith on 400 and Chef on 400 for crafting Incinerator. Weapon smith on 500 to craft an ascended weapon.
Artificer covers all other Weapons usable by your class – keep that in mind.Chef will be easier and is – as far as i can recall – the cheapest crafting discipline to level.
Note: Tailoring getting up to 500 is rather expensive same goes for Artificer.
Crafting Ascended light armor will cost you hundreds of gold (not if you’re grinding your matts of course – but still it’s pretty expensive)So weaponsmith for daggers + chef is the way to go?

Don’t feel like any weapons which the warrior can’t already use that are in game would actually fit with the warrior profession.
For future weapons that don’t already exist in game, perhaps a two-hand axe and a polearm.
I can’t agree with you on this.
In the game some Iron Legionaires are wearing a heavy armour set with a pistol&shield combo and some of the Blacklion guards use a pistol&warhorn combo to defend themself from range while buffing allies with their warhorn.
To me the next weapon that would probably fit best for a Warrior has to be a Pistol M/h because some NPCs rely on those tactics and use abilities similar to the Warrior. Also Warriors can use a Rifle, so a Pistol is something they could easely be proficient at since both types of weapons work in similar ways.
o yea, what the npcs r doing..
mesmers spamming feedback and timewarp, necros wielding gs and creating bone bridges and walls , hybrid classes everywhere
