I remember I made a similar statement, OP but a few older more mature people talked about it regarding it’s not so much the $50/$100 price tag and being able to ‘afford’ it but actually what you GET in that; is it worth it to you as an individual?
For me at the time I didn’t think anything of it and bought the $100+ one and I was content, but now after all these months it really doesn’t seem like much.
Heck, we don’t even have legendary armor yet. No WvW balance/updates. We barely got any decent armor sets with the X-pac. Everything is locked behind a massive gold sink/grind which is utterly unappealing, along with the shaft to smaller WvW guilds to get their hands on upgrades to even USE in WvW.
At the time it felt overwhelming due to the sudden face-smash of ‘content’ after a LONG drought of content in general yet wait a few months after you’ve cleared what you can and you’ll realize it’s very little.
I can’t believe it’s been what, 6 months now? And they pumped out more gem store outfits + gliders than all the armors that came with HoT combined. That’s right – on release there were probably 1-3 gliders available… very soon AFTER people had cleared content etc they started releasing gliders etc. Exalted Glider is a fine example of something that SHOULD HAVE been implemented into the game on HoT launch as a rewarded item for the story or even for reaching an achievement… alas, no.
Oh well, maybe they will learn from their mistakes, who knows.
New from the Michelin tire company: Michelin Man Armor! LOL such fail…
That is what I was thinking when I saw the Human, Norn, and Sylvari male version of this outfit. Not sure I would go so far as to call it a fail, but it certainly isn’t very appealing to me. At least they separated the outfit from the glider this time instead of making it a bundle. Not that I will be buying either.
10/10 literally this. So much this. I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw the pic because it’s spot on.
Dumped a couple hundred dollars last night for the bank tab upgrade additions & although I don’t think I’d use the bunny ears I bought them anyway. I noticed too the exchange rate was good for those that wanted to cash in gems for gold.
Would dump another couple hundred dollars if they bring back Aviator and Wide Rim Sunglasses. Just sayin’. Or even those awesome Boxing Gloves.
Thanks for brining back those discontinued items though, very much appreciated, ANet!
I think I’m the only one that dislikes this… “glider”. It literally looks like a resized rip off from the ele overload water skill and it’s quite awkward. Oh well, least some people out there will enjoy it.
So over a year ago I found it ironic I had a bank tab upgrade inside my bank because it bugged out on the gem store screen and I thought at the time I could have more than 12 bank tabs because it said “you can buy one more of these” or something. It sat there uselessly for ages.
Now I really can use it due to the increase up to 14 – THANK YOU ANET! HoT brought so many new bits and pieces with it so this is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Grammar.
Thank you so much for listening & being engaging; it is greatly appreciated. Looking forward to the good old normal reset day!
Not sure if OP is trolling or serious but… why breasts? That is so… SO creepy. Lore hints/implies Asura ears are where the attractiveness is at, in a way.
Ripped from the official GW1 wiki:
Oggy claims that Asura consider their ears to be of importance to show their worth; one of the reasons Florggi dislikes Oggy is because of his “teeny-tiny ears”.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Asura
Oggy is having trouble impressing girls, and can be found interacting with Jezza and Florggi. He will happily take a Red Iris Flower and Taro Leaves from you. The leaves, as he claims, are for him to wear to make his small ears look bigger.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Oggy
So according to this – Asura ear size in general are the ‘attraction’, not breasts. Not only would breasts on such short/small child-like characters look so wrong but it’s utterly disturbing and distasteful.
Not every female race in fantasy games has to have overly big sized knockers, sheesh.
Both are really nice; I am leaning more towards Bo.
But wow dominator looks like such a bamf!
I am really bad at thief despite it being one of my favorite classes.
I chucked on a full ascended zerker set with full mighty infusions and took a walk through the park in WvW.
I actually killed a few people with P/P. The #3 spamming can be quite humorous but so brain dead… Some roamers I’ve seen before so the first time they got rekt but after that they knew what build I was running so RIP me. A lot.
Yes you can kill people with it if they’re unaware/bad (like me).
There’s a better option out there though…. D/P. Sigh. I wish P/P was viable but it simply isn’t. It’s a gimmick, much like rifle warri.
If it’s world completion generic PvE then I go full zerk. Like. Everything just offensive. Warrior in general has a large health pool and you can basically face tank that content, but for HoT you may want to try out condi warri.
I am sure for PvE fractal/dungeon content Metabattle holds some decent builds so I would look there. Banners are more common in party’s.
I would probably take GS + sword/warhorn for typical movement around the map in PvE. I don’t think I’ve ever tried axe… heard eviscerate can hit hard though.
I’ve been missing my internet for a while but from what I remember:
1) Heroic Boosters
2) Wizard Hat
…if only they would release the other discontinued items from 2013 then I would literally throw hundreds of dollars at the screen ANet you can take my money if you do that, please.
No thanks.
I remember when commander tags were 100g; people were a bit more mature back in the day, you never really used to see troll tags at all unless it were in major cities where 1-2 people would afk with them on. Fast forward to the announcement that tags were jumping up to 300g – literally everyone and their mum’s brown dog bought and flaunted their tags EVERYWHERE. Yes. e v e r y w h e r e. Fast forward 1 year later and it’s these same imbeciles, incompetent unskilled players who have zero clue what they’re doing and quite often – players with troll tags who abuse them and ruin maps.
If they were to change them back to 100g it would only encourage more people to just “buy” their way through things and this is why I believe commander tags should have been acquired through EARNING them via WvW related content in forms of reaching a certain WvW rank or a split purchase implying many Badges of Honor + completing a “reward track” and other things. Not grind but actually playing the game mode and EARNING it, eventually.
Thanks ANet for bringing this item back; it’s immensely appreciated! Also if it is available for more than a couple days that is very generous as I currently don’t have internet annnnnd yeah…. Really hoping if they bring back any more discontinued items that they, too, are available for more than a couple days.
Can’t wait to try it out, especially now that it’s dye-able!
I am trying so hard to figure out what exactly OP is trying to communicate with us but from what I gather I think they are complaining that engi kits are better than main-hand engi weapons aka rifle + pistol and that they want to be able to use 2 weapons (like most other classes in the game) due to the thread title?
I am so confused now. I need to lie down.
It’s going to be quite difficult to pin-point the major top priorities player’s want because as someone else already mentioned – those priorities leak into other ones of similar value. I know some of my own ones I listed in there listed as “Population Balance” but branched out to related balance such as class balance, incentive to have players around the globe active etc.
Good start on keeping track of things, though, and good luck.
My 2 cents – constructive feedback:
1. POPULATION BALANCE
Ranges from various sources but mostly giving your server’s side a meaningful reason to fight/defend their objectives thus keeping people around the clock active/interest for their server’s position. Right now there is no incentive to win; mere numbers on a board, stagnant match-ups, little to no server pride due to megaservers obliterating the good old days of broadcasting call outs for your server in main city hubs, class imbalance regarding game-mode example: Warrior with only 1-2 skill that grant ~10 stacks of stability on a long CD is not adequate enough in the midst of a zerg fight where CC’s are handed out like free candy. This is not small-scale 5-man PvP, this is 50+ man balls deep WvW and class skills should be balanced appropriately/respectively as such.
2. SIMPLICITY IS BEST – MAP DESIGN/LAYOUT
A happy WvW’er is a player who can run into a map, advance the terrain with ease and get to their objective relatively smoothly, fast. Old Alpine map provided strategic placement of certain towers to take advantage of other objectives; relatively flat one level domain to traverse easily. A level, simple map design allows easier access to finding fights, defending/attacking objectives etc. I want to be able to find the action and jump straight into it as soon as possible, not trek through eye-soar inducing monotonous cliffs and be locked out from the fray as such nor do I want to be arriving/stuck in a tower that provides little to no tactical/strategic value to my surroundings.
3. LESS ‘CHEESE’ PVE MECHANICS
Being knocked around by AI is never fun. Plethora of Guild WvW Upgrades such as banners, SMC airship defense, fountain stealth etc encourages lazy AI game-play/implementation and to a degree – over-tuned imbalance. I feel like I’m not fighting people; merely AI support. Annoying passive keep mechanics such as applying cripple whilst trekking through that area. Shrine Buffs we never would have had to bother with if point 2. (simple map design) was dealt with positively/appropriately. Research, encourage & establish humanly active game-play mechanics. Auto-upgrades is an example of anti-social behavior and destroys incentive to defend/attack leaving the player with but a mere thought – “It will reach T3 soon anyway, no need to worry about it.” or “We can flip it back later, let them have it, auto-upgrades will do all the work for us once we get it back.”
4. KEEP IN TOUCH WITH THE WvW COMMUNITY
Ranges from direct & indirect communication. Let us know what is going on. We are here to give our constructive feedback. We want to help shape the WvW game-mode, too. Releasing un-tested content and/or ignoring player’s concerns with zero acknowledgment is what kills a community within a game. A good example of active communication is the recently inquired Possible Reset Time Change thread whereby a dev asked us first for our input and we delivered as best we could. Another form of communication we like to hear about on a consistent basis regards balance changes in the form of class balance, siege weaponry, WvW abilities etc or anything upcoming that may impact our game-mode’s game-play in general. Communicate with us so we’re on the same level – let’s make the game more FUN.
5. REWARDS
Relies heavily on a content WvW’er (see above 4 points) and differs for each individual. Only once a game-mode is at a sound, stable level should rewards be dealt with – never a dev should dangle ‘rewards’ aka carrot on a stick to their player’s; it is parallel to covering up the problems under a rug and hoping/assuming we will drop it and “forget” about the issues at hand. I prefer a fluid, working game-mode first as opposed to rewards. Establish further uses for left over WvW Rank ability points - more siege capabilities, purchase items such as unique armor skins/weapons with them? Reward a set amount of old WvW Tournament Tickets per weekly reset to each green, blue, red server (requires player’s to possibly reach X amount of effort/objectives defended + attacked in order to be eligible for reward) or simply put – bring back WvW Tournaments. People want to be/feel rewarded/recognition for their efforts whilst playing WvW – adjust loot tables to drop items on-par with the PvE/PvP game-mode(s) but appropriately as such so as not to encourage PvE-minded ‘farming’. Rewards need to be tied to accomplishments but also cater to various types of WvW players; zergs, scouts, defenders, roamers, existent for X time/rank etc. Rewards in general may also branch out to having fun in the WvW game mode itself - and it all starts with previously mentioned communication, balance, commitment, results.
…Let’s work together to construct & establish a better WvW game-mode.
Seeing more then average people in EotM even guilds which used to be much more uncommon
This alone says it all.
When whole guilds are looking for fights in EotM (and actually finding them A LOT of the time) you realize the full catastrophic issue ANet’s made as a whole with the DBlands.
People would rather go to EotM for fights because it’s a guaranteed way to FIND PEOPLE to fight. You’re bound to run into someone because the map isn’t too big, relatively flat and not too many ‘platforms’, sure it has it’s vertical points but they are SIMPLE ones, not windy-maze like trenches blocking off your view with ridiculous monotonous mountain ridges etc.
Last night was “Daily Shrine” cap. I thought, meh why not? Didn’t see a single enemy on my way through THREE of the T1 DBlands looking for a shrine to cap. Sure, there were a couple commanders, probably k-training and knocking on doors but never have I felt so alone and unhappy trekking through that MESS of a map just trying to get to a simple shrine of all things and hoping I run into at least SOMEONE to fight.
I really miss Alpine’s simplicity; being able to run around on one level of terrain and quickly find someone to fight was FUN.
Those days are long gone.
So 20ish toons dedicated to just flax farming nets you about ~90g per day?
I’ve never ever heard any pipe sounds.. Mate I have some of my SFX settings off or really low but I’ll have to check this out… Truth be told the airship is 100% my favorite of the two passes – everything (crafting, bank + TP) all in one tight easy spot.
Also nice to see a dev response.. If the sounds really are that annoying for some I guess a change would be welcome.
+1 for changing resets back to Fridays.
Thanks for the communication + questions, always great to see, much appreciated.
…we had the same pallet of colors to choose from in the accessories section as we do in the main section.
Why isn’t this a thing yet?
There are plenty of hairstyles I want to choose but can’t because the accessory colors are limited therefore doesn’t match… anyone else?
If you can’t play thief at a sound level; survivability + pulling your own weight to help your allies then I don’t want you as a thief on my team and you’re going to be a liability to us.
Seriously had a handful of games where thief on our team would run head on into enemies and die. That’s it. Just die and zero help anywhere else on the map.
I feel like the teams I get matched up with always have the thief on it that don’t do much for the team as whole… always dying.
What’s done is done.
Sorry, but even if they wanted to and could change legendary’s to have the absolute 100% best stats in the game by a minute margin – it’s be one heck of a big middle finger to a large portion of the community and it’d just cause a massive thunderstorm of hatred and salt.
She got hit by a… Smooth Criminal.
+1
SUGGESTION:
- Option to permanently display every ally’s green HP bar on screen
REASON:
NOTE: This is mostly WvW related but as a whole it would be helpful in PvE, too.
Currently in WvW running with allies be they in my squad/randoms not in squad only the people near me or where my mouse hovers on the screen will their green health bars show up.
This is troubling at times because some people behind me could be taking damage and I wouldn’t know about it where I could have taken action if all their green HP bars were visible.
EXAMPLE:
Being on a dedicated healer Druid – it is very difficult to pry out those in need. Sure there is the squad system but I am almost always focused on what’s IN FRONT of me whilst fighting another zerg. Being able to see all my ally’s green HP bars on screen would help me concentrate on who actually needs the heals or who is about to go down etc so I may position myself near them.
Do you think this would be game breaking at all? Thoughts?
I was welcomed warmly by a friendly ET guild pre-HoT X-pac as I were curious about ET’s state of form as a ‘rock bottom’ server; the players of ET are good natured and work together in what small numbers we had at the time. I must say, it was certainly a buzz-kill being steamrolled by DR + FC many times by sheer numbers, however, one must note I am OCX so obviously those times are even more dead for T8 servers I suppose and it’s natural to be outnumbered a lot.
On my time spent in ET for those few months I had a few whispers from enemies telling me at least I tried to defend. Whether they were being sarcastic or not it leads me to believe certain ET players have a knack for siege placement + defending objectives till friends arrive. Well, at least the people who were kind enough to introduce me to how they play small-scale WvW knew the in’s and out’s of siege placement & played smart with their numbers against opponents.
What is it like now? I do not know… such a sad state WvW is in.
Confirmed happened whilst grinding through emerald on my Ele, A LOT. About 3 times in ONE match alone.
This bug has also been around for year(s). I haven’t tried the dance thing yet to see if I can break out of it but wow it’s costed me many losses/deaths. GG.
+1
I’ve suggested this myself a few times.
I wish we could have more accessory dye options… Most don’t even dye the same color as what’s shown in the little box.
Wide Rim Glasses
Aviator Sunglasses
Boxing Gloves
My life would be complete.
We have various ways to acquire ascended gear; most of which is via crafting, laurels & grindy PvE but I am baffled there is no way to craft trinkets and for the latter part – 500 jeweller is non-existent and this irritates me for a game that already implements a working crafting system.
Why is this? What would be the flaws with letting us craft trinkets instead of grinding through PvE content of which we might not want to do or waste A LOT of laurels just to purchase ONE accessory?
That is very time-gated and unpleasant. I have my crafting materials ready and if 500 Jeweller existed I could merrily craft myself the trinkets I need and thereafter for any other alts I need ascended trinkets for.
Not to mention the absolutely useless, stat-wise, rings I have acquired throughout my time spent playing this game I would love to be able to stat-swap those. That is another question – why can’t we stat-swap ascended trinkets to ones we actually want?
The closest thing to trinket “crafting” is the amulet, Vial of salt, and even that has a minute stat-selection.
It’s been years and I’m really annoyed this option isn’t available.
Please keep discussion civil.
EDIT: Grammar fix.
(edited by Zephyra.4709)
3k+ Power (zero bloodlust stacks for when I just enter the map) full ascended zerker with versatile & regular Mighty Infusions on my Gunflame warrior.
10k+ Gunflames on very heavy targets. 13k+ to maybe 15k+ Gunflames on medium targets. 17k+ Gunflames on other zerker/glassy light armor targets. 22k+ Gunflames on NPCs/sentries.
I one-shot and kill things a lot. And things kill me quickly, a lot. Because I too am running full glass with basically little to ZERO survivability.
If I switch out to Endure Pain & Berserker Stance skills you best have reflects, dodges, invuls, LoS terrain, blocks or stun-breaks ready… pray my skills are on CD or god help your soul if I manage to hit you.
EDIT: One of the most fun thrilling builds I like to play but also a 1 trick pony. Very very very easy to counter.
You simply cannot see the PUNY fences, there is no proper big red AOE effect either; well, least not on my receiving end.
There needs to be a distinguishable signal once it hits the ground indicating that it’s a threat.
Right now it’s invisible as all hell and a kitten to get out of, if you can escape AT ALL after your stacks have basically been extinguished seeing as it knocks you down multiple times along with everything else in the background being flung at you.
It should have a visual ring effect similar to Guardian’s “Ring of Fire”.
Add them back to the rotation, please, ANet.
I really want to finish the collection and I’m not getting sucked into buying them off the TP – not after what happened when ANet finally re-released the Aetherized skins via other acquisition.
I want them to be at a reasonable price, not thousands of gold… sigh.
At first when the black/white wings were released I was in disbelief. They didn’t really fit in with the game in general seeing as no NPCs wear them but soon thereafter I came to just accept them; I still think they are disgusting anatomically speaking save for their successor – the Hawk/Golden wing variants. Now those ones are actually anatomically appealing. The Golden ones go really nicely with the Dwayna weapon skins.
I don’t know, I think ANet knew wings sell. It’s a marketing scheme. They do in every other game. It’s a fad that sells; whatever will rake in the money be it one way or another.
I will agree; I am tired of seeing so many wing-themed shenanigans and it would be nice to actually have some BACK PACKS for once; and no – I do not mean the oversized terribad beyond words ones regarding the crafting back pack skins… except for Scribing back pack skins. The first half of those are cute but then the latter are ridiculous.
Where is the middle ground when it comes to back pack skins? Am I being too picky? Is it just me?
No.
The black/white wings are more puffy and soft in appearance. They move with a swishy painterly effect especially whilst running/moving around.
The Hawk wings & Golden wings are more stiff for their seemingly thinner frame and have subtle movement whilst turning your character around which includes jumping, emotes, falling etc. They are definitely quite stiff whilst running; my only gripe. This however doesn’t bug me too much seeing as they are a VAST improvement, anatomically speaking to their predecessors; the black/white wings.
$100 USD worth of gems actually costs ME ~$141 AUD.
I tried looking in stores for gem cards but couldn’t find any, sadly.
I wish I could put a utility skill in the elite skill slot.
Most elite skills are pure trash and I don’t think there would be anything OP if we could?
Stealth Disruptor Trap – applies 30 seconds of Revealed.
30 seconds. 30 Seconds. 30 SECONDS of agonizingly painful Reveal of which you can merrily range away at them whilst they try and dance away. Works great especially if you’re a ranger using “Sic Em” which is another 8-10 seconds of Revealed.
Otherwise there are blocks, blinds, invulnerabilities you may have on hand depends which class you play… Or even AOEs under yourself so they land in them when they try to get near you.
You have not stated whether you were zerging or roaming so judging by the DMG logs with the pictures provided I’m going to assume you were on your Thief and that you were 1 vs 1’ng this gun flame warrior.
Last night my friend and I dueled and I got my behind handed to me 80% of the time because she timed her stolen warrior skills very well, evade spammed my skills or baited them out, camped stealth to waste my adrenaline and had quite the decent amount of stun breaks on hand.
Gun flame warrior is generally a 1 trick pony.
- Reflects hurt
- Camping stealth to waste their berserk mode timer
- kiting when/if they go into melee
- inturrupts/baiting out their endure Pain/invuls
- Losing LoS of their rifle “obstructed”
You state you got hit 48 times by historically one of the game’s most obvious skill animations made even more prevalent when a warrior enters berserk mode regarding the bright red/orange aura surrounding them, without using any form of dodges/reflects/stun breaks – then you deserve to get hit and I give you zero sympathy.
- be situationally aware
Gun flame warrior is not an uncommon build these days and is easily countered with previously mentioned methods in this post along with heavy condition spam, blinds and blocks if they are not running Signet of Might.
Basilisk Venom is unblockable; try using that paired with the Daredevil physical skill that blocks for a short duration then gives access to a knock down (forget the name sorry). This can be quite a fast CC chain on the warrior once you’ve either boon stolen (traited) his stability etc or wasted it’s timer by stealth camping.
Backline things:
Hammer Revenant 1,200 range hard hitting skills can hit multiple targets especially #2 but recent changes to CoR has made it not so spammy.
Necro Wells Very good backline especially if traited for unblockable wells, even better if you have in your party a venom share Thief. Let the tears roll.
Dragonhunter longbow apparently hits hard; true shot in particular. #5 skill is one big AOE that traps anyone caught inside it which can be set up as a CC-chain for other skills.
Ranger can pick targets off singularly but can also range nicely in the backseat.
Elementalist Staff meteor shower hits like a truck if timed well enough/safely. Good use of earth/lightning static field will definitely help your zerg out. Ice bow can sometimes be used as well but it took quite a nerf a while ago. Still use-able for the fun of it.
Just rename gw2-64.exe to gw2.exe
Ok I’ll try this out.
Also as others have stated regarding TS3 mine always disconnects literally every 1-2 minutes and I hope it’s not anything to do with Overwolf but that is another problem entirely.
I literally whipped out my drum once on my big naked Charr and our zerg went from being really salty to going into a kind of serene chill trance and everyone just listened and we conquered objectives majestically thereafter with little to zero problems or internal fighting.
You can still do it, sadly some people will have instruments turned off though. Worth it!
pfff, mine just patched itself automatically after a week or so of the horror of being without it. However you might want to try just reinstalling overwolf and hoping for the best.
I’ve literally tried it 3 times now;
1st time was straight after 64bit client was released (Windows 7) did not work.
2nd time was this year I un-installed Overwolf entirely and re-installed… same thing does not work.
3rd time was just a few days ago when I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 and got the free Windows 10 upgrade and it still ceases to work on the 64bit client so I am out of ideas.. sigh.
November last year? Hmm. Not really.
However, if you are having troubles finding enjoyment with levelling in PvE you might want to try alternatives such as PvP reward tracks (you get Tombs of Knowledge every once in a while) or WvW when your side is eager to claim objectives. The only other option I can suggest is to have a go at EOTM and hope you get a decent k-train as that too, should net decent XP still and champ bags etc.
In general as others have stated, yes there was a slight yet minute ‘balance’ update in regards to Reaper, since you did state you played necro, which involves it being quite dominant in PvP atm.
I too personally dropped power thief a LONG TIME AGO due to it’s poor position months back… yet thanks to Daredevil elite spec I am working with a few variations in builds; condi thief is still funny to play if you feel like being a nuisance. There is also full zerk P/P and surprisingly enough if you catch people off guard with it the burst is insane.
Outside of PvP or WvW roaming I don’t think thief fits in anywhere due to lack of support and simply put – other classes outshine them in certain areas. Plain as day.
You haven’t really stated what kind of game mode you’re into but I’ll suggest trying out the HoT PvE content; the maps are beautiful to explore but yes once you’ve mastered every nook and cranny it gets old, fast and feels like just another SW run or dungeon path truth be told.
WvW is very stale and I would say pretty dead atm. No need to explain further; the WvW forums dictate the poor state it’s in well enough (for the past how many months.. year(s)).
PvP as I said is good to practice your skills against other players and I guess ANet has tried to focus on that game mode for a while now… unfortunately some of the balance changes were solely, or more so poorly implemented in regards to PvP that have brushed off into PvE/WvW and it’s annoying when they can’t separate each game mode to make things balanced. An example was the Revenant Hammer #2 being alright in PvP yet in WvW it was/is ridiculously devastating.
Anyway, there is lots to do/get into if you take the time to research or look up guides on things. I am sure there are goals/things you want to achieve!
Not too sure if anyone else has been experiencing this slight annoyance but I cannot for the life of me get Overwolf to work when playing the 64bit client.
Has anyone found a solution?
Known EOTM issues:
- You can exploit into OG green keep
- You can exploit into FR blue keep
I have never once until recently witnessed players using these cheese methods to get into OG green keep until just a few days ago, so I don’t know if this has been around since launch.
Today for the first time I observed a guildy exploit into FR blue keep using blink & portal… very cringeworthy and it needs to be addressed.
ANet months ago fixed the exploit where, on a Thief, you could shadow-step into all 3 of the towers in EOTM… so they should fix these 2 exploits. It’s getting ridiculous. Please.
What to do if enemy is rezzing their friend whilst in combat:
- Knock them back with any kind of CC
- Proceed to attack them if they are still rezzing their friend (somehow)
- Make sure you kill them
I play many different builds/play-styles but for the most part – for fun. Rarely ever competitive unless I’m with friends who are serious about PvP/WvW and need me to fulfill a specific role.
I make my own builds/theory-craft or simply expand upon an existing build to suit my needs.
Some of my current favorite builds are:
- full zerk gunflame Berserker (I can drop people in seconds, hehe)
- sentinel/soldier shout Dragonhunter (my frontline for WvW very fun)
- sentinel/soldier hammer elixir Scrapper (also frontline for WvW)
- full cleric tanky ‘healer’ Druid (fun trolling times with this)
- generic Mallyx/Glint hybrid Herald (great fun in PvP still)
- full zerk Chronomancer (for Dungeon/PvE purposes)
- various condition Thief/Daredevil builds (I am still trying to find a good condi thief build)
Noticeably yes, a lot of these are either pigeon-holed into a specific role and WvW orientated (be it roaming or zerging), I think I’m still trying to relive the good old ‘frontline hammertrain’ days… least I’m trying and having fun though!
I like my Juggernaut the way it is but I will agree sometimes the lighting in certain areas makes the special effect look gross, and it doesn’t help when your back piece doesn’t get the painterly metallic effect either. Sigh.
