I have a bunch of empyreal base stuff and like 4 dragonite ores. The amount of bloodstone dust I get is ridiculous though. Wish I could sell…
Are ppl finally trying to use the flame part of Flame Rams in non-gate fights? =)
What’s this about? There are no Orbs of Power anymore right?
You know who else talked about a final solution? Hitler! And we all know what happened to him!
So what’s the pointof this topic?
Do 5 invasions, go to Gendarran fiels, investigate a portal, talk to a witness, gather 3 materials from an Aether Captain, a clockwork champ and something else and talk to Vorrp. That’s what you need to do to access the dungeon.
Not even downed? Wait, was this only tested with Warrior and Guardian again? I play a pretty defence heavy Elementalist, and downing is common. No wonder I didn’t get this class biased achievement!
Did fine on my ele, who is trying to mix up offense and defense (think i was going 0/0/10/30/30 though so should be no prob)? Got a lot harder with others though.
Sure, I’ll check it out.
It’s obvious really. Remember how Anet wants to get rid of farming? Theyre just making events scale in such a way that people who try to farm them will get shouted at and hated, eventually getting ousted from the community. Bam, no more farming.
Try WoodenPotatoes vids on Youtube, theyre pretty great.
Crazy laugh, jokester appearance, skill with machines/gadgets, has a lot of minions, funny taunts, good voice actor, and trying her best to destroy everything…
Yep. Shes pretty much the Joker.
Now who is going to be Batman…. O_o
Trahearne? It can’t be us, we’re not allowed to get involved. Other options are Faren or Logan (he could be Gordon though). And Anise is Batgirl (ties with the police force).
You’re just sad because you liked Zott and they killed him off. Because I am. And I miss Sieran too : /
(edited by Zomaarwat.3912)
So is this fixed yet? Cuz Zott doesn’t really feel like coming over to Elli with me either.
I play ele, engi, guard and necro. So far theyre all very enjoyable even underwater, though guardian is confusing sometimes cuz all the icons look the same underwater =]
A glass canon Ele has no place in WvW. That’s literally a snowflake in hell.
No, that’s a figurative snowflake in hell.
What if he’s on water attunement?
You cant use consumables like the trees or revive orbs in wvw. But check out WoodenPotatoes’ toolbelt ideas on Youtube if you want. Its pretty good.
So… You want more elementalists?
Is it possible that you cannot make this in the mystic forge? Only for the celestial ones?
You are right.
You cannot make satchel recipes for celestial armor in the mystic forge.
My guess would be because the celestial armor is account bound.Besides that, learning a satchel recipe for armor will not lower your cost of crafting the whole set. You will need the same amount of ingredients as if you would craft each piece individually.
Well thanks anyway, nobody in LA knew. Good to know. I’ve already crafted an entire set (except for gloves cause i need more charged krissals, so like 2 more days) so it doesn’t matter anymore.
Time can also rot, decay and made wounds become infected.
But it can also make wounds heal faster. Did you know for example that The Flash is actually the medic of the Justice League? He uses his speed manipulation to make wounds heal faster.
@ Renegade – Dark knight. Opposite of guardian. Also been done to death.
Could we call it a Knightmare?
Put some chest armor into the forge with mystic coins, elonian wine and crystals and youll get a recipe.
Is it possible that you cannot make this in the mystic forge? Only for the celestial ones?
I started out doing CoF runs because I needed tokens for Incinerator, and the money didnt hurt. Im kinda glad I got my tokkens before nerf :p
Incidentally, Drakkon, could you please not equate a stereotypical female role (wearing a skirt) with inferiority and a stereotypical male role (wearing pants) with superiority? There are some rather painful implications for both men and women in there.
Dont worry about the pants thing, its just an expression.
I can’t imagine something like elementalist with pistol or rifle. Or mesmer with hammer and bow. It would look silly.
The same could be said for the greatsword though, no? I wouldn’t have thought it to be a frequently used mesmer weapon, especially going by GW1 standards. But the designers managed to make it work, so I have the deepest trust in them.
GS ele is pretty good, and so are hammer, bow, shield and axe ele ^^ Id love to see a Necro with a rifle though.
(edited by Zomaarwat.3912)
Does it have to be a GS? We already have so many. Otherwise nice idea.^^
Mc Donald, you remind me of Pennywise the Clown…
I actually encountered a character called Clown Pennywise once. I only remembered what it was from after he’d revived me. :o
Have you tried convincing people in mapchat? That usually works for me (albeit with some effort). Check back regularly too, sometimes people spontaneously decide to do the event. Once I started paying attention I had it happen like 3 times in 3 weeks. And hey, if that doesnt work theres still fractals and laurels.
Grawr, I’m a Charr! I want Charr content! Why don’t we have Khan-Ur yet!? Why we fight robots in pretty arena with shiny loots? Rarrr!
Ele gives himself a cooldown under water with a rock pull-thing I don’t care about and Necro conditions himself all the time.
I think torment would fit on things that mention shrapnel, since that also deals more damage when moving, no?
Stay with me here.
The Commando appeared in Guild Wars as a time traveler from an alternate, dark future dominated by technology that the players avert by saving Gwen’s mom.
The Steam Creatures are from an alternate, dark future dominated by technology – their creation related to an Asura personal story. But even with their apparent defeat, they continue to appear in the world, in instances completely unrelated to the Asura.
Steam creatures are Asura in origin, but do not look anything like Asura technomagic. They DO look like a fusion of Dredge and Charr technology.
The Molten Alliance was all about fusing Dredge and Charr technology.
A large chunk of Norn personal story revolves around the Dredge advancing their technology – and the Inquest has been influencing the Dredge.
The Aetherblades attack Lion’s Arch, assassinate a member of the Council, and show an unusual interest in the Asura holoprojectors – a technology they already have access to a superior version of – and are working with the Inquest.
Aetherblade technology looks very much like a fusion of Inquest Asua and the newly unveiled Human Watchwork technology – which was unavailable prior to the Jubilee.
The Aetherblades attacked the Jubilee, and were able to control the Watchwork soldiers.
The Aetherblades have been appearing from steam creature portals and fighting alongside Steam Creatures attacking the Jubilee dignitaries and balloons. The Aetherblades and the Steam Creatures are from the same dark, alternate future that the Commando stopped in Guild Wars, and have traveled through time to force the events that lead to their future to unfold. Guiding the development of their technology, and causing the political strife that will lead to the Inquest domination of the world and the establishment of their dark, technologically dominated future.
It just won’t necessarily be the Mysterious Stranger as the Grand High Sovereign this time around – Shodd is a probable replacement.I can probably link the Southsun incidents, the Consortium’s interest in the Fractals, and the apparent sabotage at Wintersday to all this too, but I think I’ll take the tinfoil hat off now.
All of this still doesn’t explain pinipals falling out of the sky in Bloodtide coast.
I believe people who voted for Kiel hadn’t even read the website update of what those rewards would be, Evons rewards were better I mean comeone, it’s Abaddon stuff!
Allow me to shed some light for you
I wrote this in response to a similar thread which is now in a locked subforum. So some details of the reply aren’t directed directly at you.Do you think we will see a new map?
Do you think we will see new enemies?
For me, these questions are secondary to:
- Do I think we will see an interesting story play out?
- Do I think there will be interesting group mechanics?
- Do I think the fractal will require or reward teamplay?
My priorities, in order,
- Interesting stuff happening
- Interesting back story / lore explained
- Interesting teamplay mechanics that don’t get boring immediately
(some of the existing fractals have this and others don’t.)- Stuff to do other than fighting
(buttons to press, a healthy mix of my own skills and environmental elements)- Diversity in different paths
(again, some of the existing fractals are better at this than others)- Thorough testing / no bugs
- Pleasant visuals
- New achievements
- New textures and models
- New types of rewards
- New types of enemies
(You can see why your suggestive questions probably won’t work on me.)
So, why none of us have the faintest clue about how the reactor fractal will look and feel, let alone how the Abaddon fractal would have looked and felt, it is my opinion, based on my own assumptions (obvisouly), that some of these points will be covered better by one fractal than the other:
- pro Thaumanova
(I find reality bending more interesting than gods. It’s a personal thing.)- equal
- pro Thaumanova
- pro Thaumanova
(for these two, assessment based on existing math element / logical puzzles / abundance of experimental environmental weapons in Asuran events, and the Aetherblade mid-boss fight.)- no idea
- equal chance
- pro Abaddon
(Maybe? Remains to be seen. “New” does not equal “prettier”.)- equal chance
- pro Abaddon
- equal chance
- pro Abaddon
For me, it was an obvious choice. Sorry that we all can’t have the fractal you preferred. I would have taken both if I could have, but we had to pick, and I made my choice after careful deliberation based on my own priorities.
Edit: I forgot to add “humour” to the list of things I enjoy in fractals, and again, I think Thaumanova has the edge here.
Well I wasn’t thinking the abaddon stuff would be a fractal, I was more thinking that we would be going to the Ring of Fire in Tyria and explore some new cool stuff there. But that’s just me.
But they clearly stated it was gonna be fractal content. I think it might’ve been you who wasn’t paying attention to the website…. And your name’s at least twice as stupid as mine.
Salvage kits are PEOPLE GOLEMS! Pretty cool how it talks though.
At first I was like “Haven’t we already seen like a thousand of these threads?” And then I was like “Dude, your name is hilariously stupid and I’m no longer taking you seriously.” Also, the rewards were mentioned multiple times in-game.
I hope Queen Jenna turns out to have problems with speaking in public because she stutters and thus needs to hire a coach to get her to speak better.
I am hoping all this violence has a purpose, like to empower Balthazar somehow.
Even though the nearby Balthazar shrine was removed, leaving no trace.
A guy in the youtube thread was talking about watchknight technology and it reminded me of some Order of Whispers bonus material.
There’s an informant (see attached screenshots). When I talk to her on my guardian (Priory), nothing. But when I talk to her on my warrior (Whispers), she offers intel on Uzolan, the human inventor sponsored by minister Caudacus Beetlestone.
Uzolan built Uzolan’s Mechanical Orchestra (east of location on screenshot) and perhaps also the other mechanical wonders in Divinity’s Reach such as the massive mechanical solar sytem outside the palace and I presume he’s also claimed the watchknights as his work. It’s all the same kind of tech… mechanical, clockwork… that’s the advanced human technology theme. Only, Uzolan appears to have gotten hold of technology above his competence level.
So, while the watchknights are claimed as human creations they might not be.
Plus I couldve sworn Uzolan died in CM.
I honestly didn’t like most of Southsun. I just don’t like the zone and I didn’t like the story, the first time or the second time. and you’re right. Kiel is boring. She was boring during the investigation thing too. Apparently Scarlet might be the mysterious figure from the queen’s Jubilee opening ceremony. But still, we don’t even know if it’s a Sylvari
Im quite sure the mystery person is a Sylvari. When you click her the little face at the top of the screen has a green tinge and leafy texture.
You can just sell them.
You check the chest at the top?
The queens champions arent the greatest either you know. I remember one pulling 2-3 pinesouls, 2 mooses and an asura. While I tried to solo him. Luckily there were some other people nearby.
For me, I have a problem with the forms. But it’s NOT about the following.
1. It’s NOT about feminism or objectifying women
2. It’s not about sexuality or nudity
3. It’s not about getting offended. I’m somehow missing that boneIt’s about a machine – and a very obvious machine at that – having completely extraneous parts that serve no function. Mind you, these machines are NOT being made to look human ala terminator. No skin, no hair, no lips, no eyes. But they have boobs. And bums. And high heels! And that too not normal boobs, bums and heels. Huge, massive ones!
So my problem is this…what are the developers trying to achieve? Are they trying to make them look like women? Obviously not. Are they trying to make them feminine? Possibly. But then they would have had just normal curves, normal waists, and if necessary (though I don’t see how), normal heels.
So I’m left with no conclusion other than the fact that the developers just wanted to put in those parts for kicks to pander to the male player base.
Its obviously padding to protect them. Or maybe theyre for storage?
The Watchknights freak me out, I must admit. First time I was checking the new update when I notice a silhouette above me. I look up , creepy dolls hanging overhead everywhere.
Will these drop in weps and armor? Or just disappear after, only available on the TP?
Steampunk != high technology and the Ausran lore has been engrained with high technology that is based in High Fantasy magic, not pure mechanical power. And if ANY of the nations should be based around steampunk it should have been the Charr as the industrial nation. Instead Humans which have never relied on technology all of a sudden have steampunk tech because… well just because.
Because it made little sense for Humans to remain technologically backwards to a point worse than what the Asuras were at 200 years earlier?
Yet the Norn who have been around even longer remain in the stone age of social and technological advancement? Makes sense…
Not every nation needs to be on the cutting edge of technology to exist.
The Norn were quite advanced once but were cast down. They recovered, better than the Jotun at least, but havent advanced much in the field of technology. Why? Because until recently, the Norn were solitary hunters and didnt work together, thus making advancement as a group unlikely.
I noticed the torches and decided to try it out. The 1st run went quite smooth (though I didnt succeed). The 2nd one I made it, perfectly fine. However on my 3d try the third torch was already lit but still showed the icon, thus preventing me from completing it once more. This is probably nothing big but I thought I’d mention it, since if this continues its an entire achievement category thats being blocked.
Well its not like it has a unique appearance or stats, so it doesnt really matter. Wish I could salvage or sell it though.
