Again why lure anyone? Just create clones sword imobb and summon more clones. Switch weapons summon clones and profit. By constantly making clones you by being aggressive cause aoe condition spread. If you watch and pray that someone kills your clones then yes it is very slow.
Well again the players experience will decide the tempo. A sword/pistol scepter/torch pu condi build is very in you face. Pu is a good trait for roaming in wvw.
Yes cheese is good to eat. But it is used by players constantly way pointing back to starting point. Or raging as u lie motionless.
I have been running something similar with good results. As fay has pointed out no condition removal is a bad thing. So I traited 04046 condition shatter. Menders purity and shattering grants vigor to you and party. With the minor in dueling and this trait the vigor up keep is amazing. Also I have slotted duel energy/cleansing on weapon sets to help with conditions. You can use the face heal so 2 on heal then swapping removes one also. If you wanted can use mantra heal to net 4 conditions plus swapping. Hope it helps. Gl.

Hello I have a question that is above me. If all things being equal(by equal I mean same stats besides) what is the difference in 1600 to 1800 condition damage? The reason I ask is a stacking sigil better than other sigils in wvw platform. Thanks for the help.
Only thing to add is drop curtain check for stability start the casting of the warden, while casting instant hit the curtain to close it. If within range, no dodge the enemy will be pulled and the warden summoned right on top of him. With your trait spread hopefully a stun (lockdown) occurs and you profit.
The only one I can think of is. 06026. Using mantra mastery and menders purity. Gives you solid condition management. Can use condition gear and slot maim for other gm in illusions.
I can think power pu with ip if de was made a class mechanic.
Again sorry if I mis read. But celestial stats for a mesmer is sub optimal. If you have other toons that can use then have at it. Hope it helped.
IMO stick with your plan make zojjas better stats. The color might be better for celestial but the material/time/cost for those stats isn’t good. Save up transfer gold to gems or outright buy transmutation crystal and use a skin you like better on beserker stat.
Well for me seems strange to develop a style of play with no cast bars and people so small cannot see anything they are doing. The design if the game doesn’t support lockdown fully IMO why shatter edges it. I know heals ressing and stomping but 3 sure skills is not an interrupt build to spot out of how many others.
Just roll the flavor of the month. 04046 condition shatter. Scepter/pistol staff. Rabid armor/pvp necklace. Runes undead/nightmare/traveler, sigils torment/energy/corruption/doom to start. Tweak as needed. Teaches shatter skills but more armor health so forgiving till more confident.
I posted a hybrid build earlier. I switched to full condition. Staff/ scepter pistol 04046. Amazing condition damage over 2k. Hated to shelf sunrise but it is a really fun build. Having fun terrorizing wvw. Have fun mesmers!!
In wvw I have had great results running a hybrid. 04406 staff/greatsword. Having all acsended gear with food crystals my power is 1700 condition damage 1500. With ie the damage is impressive timing interrupts creates might stacks on top of gs 2 and staff auto attacks. Traveler runes keeps me mobile and mixing gear toughness is around 1700. Also using staff created tons of cover conditions(sigil of doom). Solid build happy with performance.
IMO the only rune is traveler. This would be used for havoc or single roaming. Zerging I would change to power spec.
Ty phent makes sense didn’t see it apply the torment but was out of range of the illusions.
I have a question. When using the trait mtd when you shatter (f4) does the illusions being shattered apply torment?
Not to derail this thread one could argue any spec not shattering is low skill build hence using ai or stealth to win. The reasons you the op will find through experimenting what you want to play to become successful in all areas of gw2.
This comes from a mindset that stealth is bad. Yet half the people hating on pu use phantasm specs. Another ia no brain build. Zaxon loves his phantasm builds chew and kite game play, hate stealth game play.
In all fairness pu is ok for wvw roaming but like stated before not pvp. Switching builds is much easier simple click. I would use 44006 shatter build for pvp. Double range shatter or sword/torch gs my favorites.
Mesmers are notorious for our slow speed. Looking into centaur speed or traveler runes will help. Also when using our stealth skills try not to run in a straight line or towards the objective friendly camp tower. Use the stealth and turn 90 or 180 degrees and proceed to create distance. The more practice the better.
Power using traveler runes. 1600 toughness 50 crit 210 crit damage bonus.
Been having a lot of fun running 44006 using torch cooldowns. Gs/sword torch. Utilities decoy blink them revolving how i feel veil/null field/disenchanter. Also been experimenting with longer blink sword cooldown in dueling 2 trait. A lot of fun takes people by surprise since most roamers use pu/phantasm builds.
From strictly a wvw roaming standpoint I think it’s ok. Plenty of video evidence to support both play styles shatter/pu. The problem is when you roam (solo) you cannot control who what and where your fights will be. Why not take a spec that offers your best chance of downing and stomping someone? Applying traits should have no bearing or have such venom to label anyone a scumbag. If playing pve/ conquest pvp then yes bring something more team friendly. The same can be said of zerging/roaming trait accordingly.
In the beginning there was light. Lol in the beginning mesmer was such an annoying class to deal with why you saw such amazing feats. As the game progressed our cheap tricks vanished. When I play and use a stealth skill players pick you up a lot faster with or without pu. Those boons help simple as that. Training wheels mopeds and all.
The target drop is great but IMO the boons are what makes pu special(pre nerf) now watered down. The spec let you roam as boon generating machine along with bi. Those boons are the reason you can survive not the target drop.
Please return really poor design and taste. Let us have the option to make our own conversions along with pre designed ones!!!!!

Playing a build shouldn’t make you feel or have any emotions tied to it that negatively. If it works and your happy then play it. If we are trying to optimize for a select speciality area then you would spec for it. Also specing for this change one would notice another class can do it better hence the limited showing of mesmers in conquest mode. A scumbag dances or taunts griefs other players. Simply applying trait points should have no bearing on your actually gaming behavior to be labeled “scumbag”
I am thinking he is saying it (pu) works fine for wins. The debate about mesmer in higher tier competition is more based on the meta and the design of the mesmer currently.
The tools are in the box for a reason. Use what u want when you want. Using a stick of dynamite to remove a picture works. Unless you like playing click the way point after your dead.
For mobility IMO taking traveler runes fixes a lot. The difference is trivial as far as stats go. The speed gained along with using a focus in between combat is what is needed for mesmer in wvw.

The loss is 15percent due to gaining 10 condition duration from traveler runes but it is a flat condition duration increase instead of just torment increase. So the loss wasn’t felt. I am using koi cakes to help with condition duration also in wvw.
First off this is a fun build. IMO I have tried to use both torment and traveler runes for wvw. The lack of swiftness was really felt. Also with traveler runes the boon duration increase lets the swiftness from curtain last 17 seconds, creating near perma swiftness. The stat loss is really minor for condition damage in my build 120 loss using traveler. The swiftness boon and condition duration make traveler a better option for wvw use. Again a very refreshing play style other than shatter for wvw.
I would like to see when taking the trait mtd to switch the cooldowns on f1 and f2 shatters to help with burst. Using f1 currently in a condition shatter is a loss in dps. The other 3 shatters are on a long cooldown to apply the current torment. Lowering f2 cooldown when taking mtd could help as well. (If switching is not done)
Nice game play. I was wondering if slotting mtd could also switch the cool downs on f1 and f2 since the condition burst is needed. The longer cooldowns cause the trait IMO to not be cohesive with a condition shatter build.
The scepter buff puts a band aid on the weapon itself. The delivery speed of the bolt is the problem.
Ok so let me try and explain. Our damage is lower because we have phantasm/clones. So by letting our damage source be killed we are at a severe disadvantage. Whether you agree or not. The tone of your thread was condescending because I disagreed with your thoughts. The first post about dodge rolling was a half truth since dodging is tied to endurance. So counter play is avoid deaths or bait dodges. This caused you to bring up our core weapon skills which make us a mesmer. The nerf effects all builds not just pu. The threat of our clones is minimized and we have no up front damage.
The part your missing is you are choosing one aspect while I am considering another. Sadly your not my mate bro or friend. I am just voicing an opinion not of your own yet I got mate I’m pro learn my mechanics.
The play how you want was in response to your pro statement and the learning of my class mechanics when last I checked clone deaths was a mechanic.
Glad you used all our mechanics instead of saying dodge rolling. Our damage is tied to all those weapons you listed(another thread perhaps). Sigils all can use. Just making a correction to simply dodge rolling as being the offender. I play how I want if I play pu,so should you.

What you stated is a half truth. Tell the truth the mesmer dodge rolled but it’s died to endurance. That mesmer used all evades to spam what? Some rng weakness vuln or bleed. The mesmer cannot evade that cc now. There was counter play involved already on top of not killing clones also bait out dodge rolls and then drop hammer on mesmer.
Roam with a group. The same hate towards pu is shared with thieves. The stealth and target drops anger people. Although watching a warrior run away is frustrating to people here also. The game mode is wvw get a group kill the solo roamer or don’t solo roam.
Anet should step up and make all passive traits evadable/blind to encourage active game play. Or maybe this is a punishment for actually crying over a buff.
Apparently all the qqers on this forum that managed to kitten ourselves before even firing the first slow deadly torment scepter ball.
I don’t mind knocking down. Just wish it was done on a step by step basis. If the buffs/bug fixes work then great.
