Exactly! A vote for Evon is a vote for RNG! Love me some RNG! Cheap keys and Abaddon fractal! Woo frakin’ whoo!!!
I would argue that simply travelling from the boat up to the airship up top does not qualify as a jumping puzzle. It’s simply travel. With new skills. It’s not hard, it’s not confusing.
That is not entirely fair. I know several players that have a very hard time jumping. One of these players, just cannot get the knack of the new high jump skill. She still hasn’t gotten passed the four jumps to get her to the upper level. She is very frustrated. We are going to portal her up tonight because she has such a hard time with jumping.
So saying that it is not hard, is incorrect. It is not hard for you.
As for it just being travel, that is also not true. You have to use these skills to ‘travel’ throughout the bazaar. So it isn’t simple travel.
I would just suggest that you realize that not all peoples’ skill levels are as good as your own.
Many things were promised to those of us in GW1 that would happen in GW2. We worked hard in that game to get the benefits we have in GW2. When I originally saw that we only got a total of 20 points for all of that hard work, I was completely flabbergasted.
Move forward to our 500 points (or 450 in my case). They are points well deserved.
If you go by much of the weird logic in this thread, then I shouldn’t have to grind away at jumping puzzles to get those achievements and points because it rewards people with better manual dexterity than I have. Also, achievement points shouldn’t be rewarded to PvP and WvWvW players because I shouldn’t have to compete against other players for achievement points. Both points are ridiculous because they are both part of the game, just as the HoM points and achievements are. The game is what it is. I for one, accept it and move on.
It baffles me that there is always some ‘perceived’ inequity with anything done in this game. Proof that you cannot make everyone happy.
I have to disagree. Anyone in either of my two guilds will tell you that I hate jumping in GW2 more than any person on the planet. That being said, I am having a blast with this new content. After you get past the initial “high” jump using the aspect skill for high jumping, getting to the top was very easy. Even for me and I suck at jumping more than anyone.
At first I thought the same as you because of my jumping hatred, but let’s be fair. Not all content is going to please all people. You have to have something for everyone at least once in a while. If this is the one catered to those who love jumping, then great! They need some love too. Next time it may be for people who love lore or something else. Who knows?
To me the Bazaar is beautiful to look at. It is interesting in content. It also reminds me so much of the things and places I loved in GW1 (Cantha, Elona, Embark Beach, racing games, etc.). I think it is all in how you accept the content. I am sorry you are not enjoying it.
I actually don’t mind starting after the race has begun. I can take my time and look around a little without having the pressure of winning and collect crystals for the achievement. It is better than just waiting in the queue.
I love this zone too. To be honest, it is my favorite zone in the game. Not because it is new, but because it very much reminds me of GW1. For me, it is like a cross between Embark Beach and Kaineng City. I am really hoping the city can stay even if the ship flies off.
The thread is about the price of the mini game kit. It is not about GSSBlunaspike.4153 ability to correct people in how they use words in threads on Guild Wars 2 forums.
If people are incapable of using words correctly, then what is a message board even for? We might as well just type random words and hope our intention is conveyed. I do agree with you though, and I’m going to drop it.
It’s kind of a moot point though. The entire argument is bad. It doesn’t matter what people think, Anet will not change the price now. Even if they wanted to, they could not. The people that have already purchased it would all need refunds, etc.. So people might as well get over it, and start ignoring it like they would have in a few days anyway.
Actually, he did use the proper word. Maybe your not as smart as you think you are. The word was the proper word. I myself also think the price is reasonable. As in a fair price for an item. I also agree with your last paragraph there. I think this argument is bad also and at this point it don’t really matter what any of us think about the price of the item, it is set and most likely will never be changed.
First it is “you’re”. Second I included the definition, and the link to the source. I’m not trying to be an kitten , merely pointing out something that annoys me.
As many have pointed out, this is a thread about the price of an item not a grammar lesson. That being said, it seems proper grammar is the only thing you apparently respect. It is evident you don’t respect other’s opinions if they differ from yours. So here is are two words for you to ponder.
Subjective
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/subjective
4. a (1) : peculiar to a particular individual : personal <subjective judgments> (2) : modified or affected by personal views, experience, or background <a subjective account of the incident>
Perspective
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/perspective?show=0&t=1373464190
2. a : the interrelation in which a subject or its parts are mentally viewed <places the issues in proper perspective>; also : point of view
All the definitions included on the links above are to numerous to post here so I listed the ones I believe are pertinent.
You may not believe the use of the word ‘reasonable’ above was correctly used, but that is your subjective assessment of the definition. Because you believe the price is not reasonable to you, it therefore is not. To the person who posted it, the price is indeed reasonable. Two perspectives. Two subjective interpretations of a definition. Neither is right or wrong. So you really have no justification for admonishing him for his use of the word ‘reasonable’.
I believe Hjorje was right in a previous post. Your argument is thin so you are trying to get a rise out of the ‘reasonable’ poster by trolling him in the forum. Obviously ‘educated’ has nothing to do with common decency.
Additionally, pointing out things like the misuse of ‘your’ for ’you’re’ is petty and trite.
There is a male Sylvari talking with a friend beneath the tree vista by the ascent/descent between levels that is lamenting the loss of his female love. You can hear the dialog when you are completing the vista point.
Though why the wiki is calling the Zephyrites a race is beyond me… they’re a nation at best, probably multiracial.
I didn’t get this either until I went back and re-read the Zephyrites entry. The first line calls them an ‘organization’ made up of humans. I think whoever wrote the wiki article just wasn’t paying attention. Even later it says that other races have joined the Zephyrites to study the aspects. So someone just wasn’t proofing very well.
One other comment. Earlier there was some debate about Sanctum Cay not having cliffs in GW1. This is true, but let us be honest and admit that the landscape we have in GW2 is hardly recognizable from that of GW1. Land has changed and shifted and broke and altered. Sanctum Cay could really just be one big cliff now for all we know.
That being said, I don’t think this is a Tengu thing at all. People are going to go nuts when they finally truly bring the Tengu into the mix. There may be some Tengu in the Zyphyrites, but this isn’t a Tengu thing.
@Hjorje. I agree with both your posts. Good for you.
Legendary weapons aren’t that legendary. They have 0 lore. Just simple items with a label.
I agree. You would think that they would have given us a little lore on each one if nothing more than to make them interesting for more than their possession value.
So many characters are legends they could have been their personal weapons.
For example (to make up a few):
Sunrise could have been Jora’s sword at some point in her life.
The Flameseeker Prophecies might have been Rurik’s sheild.
Meteorlogicus is a scepter that may have belonged to Vekk.
The Minstrel might have been a focus that was discovered in the Temple of the Ages ruins.
etc. etc. etc.
There are many, many possibilities that they could have just given a little, tidbit of lore to associate with each weapon that would have made it much more fun to try and get.
It would have also given us a very simple tie to those character’s and places we loved in GW1.
EDIT: I looked and I guess some of my post was made moot by Konig’s post. There you have it. At least KDT gave some solid possible lore for the weapons.

My primary account is set up on an American Server. My large guild, however, is an international guild. With the way international guilds were ganked when they effectively stopped US and Euro servers from guesting, I set up a second account in order to play with my Euro friends once in a while. And as Vayne said above, I can get more of the temporary content items that are not account bound this way as well.
Also, if I want to play invisible, I can do so during the week when the Euros are asleep and the U.S. servers are packed.
I am asian (japanese) and i personally would love Canthan district and more details and lore about Cantha… i m super curious about it, i find no offense in a mash up of cultures. there are characters with chinese, korean, japanese names that sound distinctively separate, meaning different asian heritage.
I agree. I think a mash up of cultures would be wonderful. After all the world of Tyria is not Earth. Why should Cantha reflect any one Earth culture?
I would think that all Asian cultures would embrace the mash up whether or not, they like the other Asian countries. At least they are represented, right?
I am from one of the western cultures, and I do not care in the least that Ascalon/Tyria are mash ups of American/Euro/Australian cultures. Elona was certainly not a strict reference to any one African/Mid Eastern culture.
I think the diversity is nice. And again, it isn’t Earth so a mash up is kind of cool in all cultures on Tyria IMO.
I think it is a prestige thing. If you can afford it you have some bragging rights. Even if it was blue level and cost that much. You are working toward getting the skin, not the stats.
One of my builds was seriously nerfed, but that is OK with me. I am one of those people who enjoys recreating my character after something like this. I know there are a lot of people who are not.
Having said that, I believe, that ANet takes a lot of care with their balancing decisions. As Vayne said above, they have to take all aspects of play into account. Balance cannot be an easy thing for them to whip out, so I am most certain these balancing issues have been discussed for quite some time and probably debated amongst themselves.
In a couple of weeks I am sure that most of us will not even care what the changes were. Good and bad. We will have moved on and playing normally with what we have.
I do not see the need for having alliances like in GW1. This is due to the system where you can join multiple guilds.
I get what you are saying, but my guild is so large 800+ that we have split into multiple guilds. Three in fact to make sure there is room for other to join.
It would be nice if we could have an alliance so we could do different guild things together. Or visit guild halls once they are established. Or have an alliance chat window.
In another smaller guild I am in, we have a couple of sister guilds that we do things with. If we had an alliance, we wouldn’t have to have memberships in each one of those guilds. The limit to guild memberships is 5.
Yes, that is what I was talking about. Fog nightmares, Azure Shadows, etc., etc. I get that the face of Tyria has been changed by time and circumstance, but many of the creatures that were staple creatures, should still be around, right? Or at least many of them. It kind of frustrates me that so many were excluded.
I’ve been all over in GW2 and don’t recall a shadow/nightmare that we have to fight. They were abundant in both Kryta and the Shiverpeaks in GW1. Am I just missing them or is there some lore reason that they are missing? Are they called something else?
I am actually fine with the patch because for my set ups, most of them were buffed instead of nerfed. Even my ranger was fine. I play shortbow, but usually am pretty close anyways because I am a trap ranger.
The one area I was disappointed in was that the Engineer was really not given any love in my opinion. I really want to like the class but it is still pretty one note for me.
Please put in an -OPTIONAL- profanity filter on the forums, instead of limiting us from a basic “Freedom of Speech”.
Locoman is exactly right Drayven. I would add to that, a lot of adults that don’t want to read that kind of language would be fine with a filter, but those with kids would not want an optional filter on the site. Kids might flip it on and parents would be upset and probably would have cause to make trouble for ANet and NCSoft. So I doubt a filter will happen.
BIG PROBLEM…
They are ugly and most players wouldn’t be seen dead in them!
Sorry, but you don’t speak for most players. I know many people who love the new armors and their steampunk look.
I had a feeling they were correct. I’ve been gearing up for the changes. I am fortunate enough that they don’t really affect any of my builds except in a good way.
Here we go. The ones that it does affect detrimentally, will be out in force in no time.
looks like the new armors skin is Gemstore only ..lol .. im not buying any …. ulgy set
I guess it’s a good thing you think they are ugly then.
well ugly ..it’s a matter of taste. But I wanted to say that the style does not go very well with the game… Steampunk armor , Air ship , Pirates …… oh wait ! It’s Skies of Arcadia !
It really is a matter of taste isn’t it? I think they are cool. I like the steampunk look. Especially the light on the Asura. I will be buying one for my Asura mes.
Of course, we have no idea what or who was in that district. Maybe there was some artifact the Mantle wanted that they believe was there.
I agree with you @mercury. Something is up with that. This is one of the cool things about GW2. There are many directions stories could go. Maybe one of these days we will delve into the great collapse. It may have a tie in with a future Cantha edition. Who knows?
@Araris and @Conner
I think you are both correct.
I do think hardcore gamers go through games faster than a company can put out content. I also think that casual gamers often want things that others have worked really hard to get.
There is no win here. Neither group is bad, just different. I just wish both groups would accept the game as it is and realize that the company that makes it is doing its best to be everything to everyone. Yes, it isn’t going to happen, but usually not from lack of trying.
Maybe in some games they have to pick one or the other of the two groups and one of the groups will just have to get over it.
No. “Hard core” and “Casual” players can not co-exist, because each demands the others content be destroyed. It’s as simple as that.
I get what you are saying, but with the world as big as it is, don’t you think they could create areas that would cater to both. Maybe a section of the world would cater to hard core gamers, and another that casual players would get a lot of fun out of without being over challenged.
I see the need for both. There are people who only use a game for entertainment and often don’t have time to commit to it in any way. And the hard core gamers that use it for sport need to be challenged.
In my opinion, I just thing there could be areas geared toward one or another like zones are character leveled.
I can understand being unhappy that you didn’t get anything, but if you are buying something that is completely random, don’t you just have yourself to blame for buying it? It isn’t the box or the companies fault that you didn’t get anything. The company stated that skins would be a very rare drop.
I just don’t get why anyone would be angry when they know there is a possibility of getting junk and when they get nothing they are outrage. Weird.
Personally I am fine with gem armor as long as its not hidden behind rng boxes. If he armor ends up costing say 800 gems you would only have to pay only around 24g, which is still way cheaper than sentinel armor and only slightly higher than crafted boxed armor.
Per the wiki, each set will cost 800 gems.

I think the word “entitled” is thrown around a lot on forums as a put-down. At least that’s how it comes across to me. I don’t care for the way RNG is implemented in this game. I don’t care about farming. But everyone has a right to come on forums and express their opinion without condescention or being made to feel that their “opinion” is wrong. That would be an oxymoron.
I agree with you 100%. The problem is, that many time people don’t just express their opinions, they try and make it sound as if everyone thinks the same way they do. Which also is not right.
I am one of those people who actually likes the RNG. I think it is fun. But when you say that you just get attacked. As you just said, I should be able to say that I like it and even that I don’t agree with other people and not get attacked for it. I don’t claim that everyone feels like I do. I don’t speak for the rest of the players playing. Still you get raked over the coals for having a different opinion. Eventually you start retaliating. Is this good? No. Is it natural. Perhaps. Either way, if people would just log in, voice their opinions while not making assumptions and grouping everyone into their opinions, and let everyone have their say, it would be good. It just doesn’t happen.
As far as the “entitlement” issue. It is my opinion that many people think they should have everything that everyone else in the game has. They feel entitled to things. I personally don’t feel this way, but many seem to. I don’t think it is said as an insult as much as it is said as a belief others notice in other people.
But I like your post. It was nice and truthful. I appreciate what you had to say and I agree with it. Except for the RNG part. We will have to agree to disagree on this one.
You can take it for sure that we will visit 2 well known continets sooner than a brand new one.
I agree. A lot less development and back story to create than a new continent. And why wouldn’t they go back there before other continents when they have so much to build upon. None of us know, but it seems to make sense.
First off all, there is no indication that we will ever go to Cantha or Elona. I’m saying this cause some people think that just cause we went there in gw1 we will go there again. So my answer is fully in respect of the fact that we might never go there.
Mhenlo and Cynn both are Tyrians (continent) and went to Cantha to help out Master Togo. They sticked around with us and followed us to Elona afterwards and later on also have been to Eye of the north. This means that there is no reason to asume they have descendants in Cantha.
Talon Silverwing is a Tengu. All Tengu where exiled from Cantha by Emperor Usoku. They where the last to leave there and reunited with their Krytan tribes in the dominion of winds.
Though the dialogue during the norn fighting tournament indicates that Melonni wants Koss to come back with her. This back is never specified nor if she was succesfull. All we know for sure is that they where last seen in Tyria and not in Elona.
This goes as well for many other famous npc’s though like Razah and Talon, so it is difficult to take that as lore, though the dialogue is giving more purpose to their relation.
Please do not put words in my mouth. First of all, I never said that we would be going back there. This thread is supposed to be for people to speculate on. It’s not that I don’t appreciate you pointing out where characters found themselves after their respective campaigns, but that has nothing to do with the question posed. This is for what people would like to see if we go back. And to turn your argument around on you, just because we were there in GW1 doesn’t mean we won’t go back either.
Also, since you gave your take on my suggestions, I will give a take on why I posted what I did.
Talon Silverwing was a mistake on my part. I had forgotten about him being back in Kryta.
Mhenlo last appearance was in 1079 was helping to defend the Shing Jae Monastery against the Sensali attack. This is after the events of EOTN. So he did go back to Cantha. I have no idea if Cynn went with him. And again, since is my preference for what I would like to see, then I am sure that I can speculate that they were there since it was his last known location, not the EOTN.
As far as Koss and Melonni and their involvement with the Norn Fighting Tournament go, there is a lot of reason to believe that the supposed characters or many of them involved were not actually there. Palawa Joko, The Ghostly Hero, Argo, Headmaster Vhang, and many of the other Factions henchmen were not confirmed to have ever been in EOTN other than an appearance in the tournament that also included Palawa Joko. Certainly, however, Palawa Joko was not there. So the ‘heroes’ fighting there have to be taken with a grain of salt.
It also doesn’t really matter where anyone was ‘last seen’ does it? Anything said about those not already accounted for in GW2 is just speculation no matter where we last saw them. Why wouldn’t Koss and Melonni go back to their homelands? Koss has a big chunk of land there. We don’t know anything about many these characters, so what is wrong with speculating about them? Also, descendants of any of these people could possibly be anywhere. Why the need to debunk speculation?
“Really? How do you know that a huge part do not like this? Where is your statistical evidence?” Like I said “most complains I here”. I here it in the guild, I am active on some fan-forums and then you can also have a look at these forums. The number of RNG (= gem-store focus) should start ringing a bell. No statistics.
Actually I didn’t say anything about the line where you said “most complaints you hear”, I was referring the the line “Well, not a small part of the player base but a huge part does not like that.” My biggest point that people with complaints and dislikes for content are the one who are vocal about it. People who do not care, or are content, or like it do not post much at all. This is true for all forums not just this one. You said ‘a huge part’. I believe it may be a huge part of what you listen to, but it certainly is not for me.
yeah also no statistics about that but everybody who opens his eyes can see that people are overall very positive about MF and SAB and very negative about the RNG / gold-driven system.
I believe that people you talk to probably are negative about RNG. And it is perfectly fine that you do not like it. However, you can in no way claim these things for ‘people overall’. You have nothing to back that up with other than posts in forums. The biggest majority of my two guilds, one small and one very huge, have no problem with RNG. Some do not like it, but most in both of these guilds do not care or are good with it. My guild members talk on a regular basis and the topic comes up. So it is not me guessing about their likes and dislikes. What I hear and what I have my eyes open to is not the same as you. So, again, I don’t understand how you can say ‘players overall’.
“How can you assure me that?” By opening your eyes.. And about the very vocal people.. Most people in the guild and on those fan-forums don’t post here. That are not the vocal people but many of them have similar reacts.
I have my eyes wide open, and my answer to this is in my both replies above. The very vocal people are a small number of the people actually playing the game. In this forum and in many others.
You seem to be sure it’s just a small number.. so can you proof that to me then?
I am certain that the people you talk with indeed hate RNG and some of the things you speak of. However, you and the people you speak with are just a small percentage of the people who play the games. I didn’t say that a small amount hate RNG, I just said that you shouldn’t claim that a huge amount of the player base hates it when you cannot speak for a huge amount of the player base. All you can speak for is the ones you hear. Your words are above, sir. You say ‘huge parts of the player base’ and ‘most people’ several times.
I think it is great when you reference those you talk to and those you chat with, but those people, just like the ones I talk to are not the majority of all players. After reading several articles that I simply googed, I now know that my complaints, just like yours are probably in the minority. So I do not claim to ‘know’ what the majority thinks. I just know that forum posters with complaints are seldom the majority.
Your last P.P.S. is ruins your entire post and you should remove it. Just because someone is a fan boy or in fact someone disagrees with you doesn’t make their arguments fallacious. By dismissing their arguments before they can even make them, you’re weakening your own argument.
Why should ANYONE take you seriously if you go ahead and pretty much say anyone who’s a fan boy and disagrees with me is presenting a fallacious argument.
If your arguments are strong enough to stand on their own you shouldn’t need that line.
But do you have anything to add/detract or do you just want to pick at that one line like the rabid fanboys OP is talking about?
I think he did indeed add to the conversation. He told the OP that he thought the conversation was moot if the OP planned on dismissing anyone who disagreed with him.
Very well said Vayne. +1 for you. I would add that if someone disagrees with a person that has an issue with the game, it does not make them a ‘fan boy’ or and ‘Anet groupie’.
I didn’t agree with many of the things the OP said, but he stated things in a non-confrontational manner. Until his last P.P.S. He didn’t present his arguments in a way that suggested that it was everyone else’s opinion too.
I think what Vayne was trying to tell him that his arguments were valid from his point of view until his last remark. A person cannot invite honest feedback on his or her post if he or she intends to exclude people that do not agree with them.
I feel differently about many things the OP said, but I support the way he presented his concerns until the end and then it was ruined for me.
A group of friends from my guild were on TS last night and we were discussing Cantha and Elona of the present. One of the big topics was who’s descendants we would like to see in those two places. So I thought I would pose the question to the lore community.
Who’s descendants would all of you like to see in Cantha or Elona?
For me:
Cantha:
Mhenlo and Cynn’s
Ashu
Talon Silverwing
Danika
Kisu
Elona
Zhed
Prince Bokka the Magnificent
Koss & Melonni
Razah (Not his descendants but him)
It’s not a case of them lacking proof so much as a case of psychological projection. In trying to communicate their own personal feelings, they describe other people as having those thoughts and feelings when truly it’s just their personal opinion. This is a communication problem. They either don’t realize it or they are assuming that their opinion is the majority perhaps because their friends and immediate peers share the opinion and that’s all the empirical evidence they bothered to gather. Yes, it’s a misconception, but asking them to prove their claims isn’t going to teach them this lesson so much as frustrate them, which will in turn predispose them to disagree with you out of spite and create further rifts in communication.
I totally agree and completely understand what you are saying. But I have tried your approach too. I have told them things like “Be careful in saying ‘most players’, ‘all players’ and ‘everyone’ because your opinion is just that your opinion and maybe that of those you play with. However, there are many of us that may feel differently.”
Usually after saying that they just attack and get defensive just as if you had asked them to prove it. You are not going to win either way.
The only reason I asked this guy to prove it is because he told me that I didn’t have any numbers to prove what I said. So I just posed the question back.
I really like that people are passionate about their positions. It is good to want what you want. I just don’t like the ‘everyone thinks like I do’ mentality. I hate being lumped into groups like that. Not that it will change this happening, but I always feel the need to let people know I do not share their opinions when I disagree.
Lol, most complains I here and the reason that people stop playing GW2 all comes down to the gem-store focus. The gold-driven system and the RNG has a lot to do with that.
How do you get anything in this game? Being lucky, farming gold (there are like 3 ways to do that) or buy money. Well, not a small part of the player base but a huge part does not like that. Why where so many people so enthusiastic about SAB and MF?
Really? How do you know that a huge part do not like this? Where is your statistical evidence?
Almost nobody likes to just farm for gold, or buy gems to get the stuff you need. Most people don’t like that they want multiple ways playing the game, getting that. Doing dungeons, doing JP’s, doing WvW or killing mobs but not farming for gold. using real money to buy it…. And then still having a big change of not getting it.
Again, where is your proof of this?
If you really think it’s just a small part of the people I can ensure you you are wrong. But we both don’t have the numbers to proof it.
How can you assure me that? Eurogamer wrote an article on this very thing. The article used Assassin’s Creed for their statistical evidence. They said that the differences in opinions of very vocal forum posters and the thousands of other people playing were very different when they took surveys and polls. All I had to do to find this information was to do some very simple Google searches.
It is human nature for those not liking something to complain about it while those who are content or even like something will not say anything. And while I do not have actual numbers for this, I know from looking at the high number of people playing on many servers, that there are many more people playing the game than there are of those posting complaints about it in the forums. There are hundreds of posters in all of the forums commenting on all manner of subjects. There are thousands and thousands of people playing in game. They are not all posting on the forums, so yes, forum posters are in the minority. This isn’t just my guessing, there are many articles out there about internet forums compared to actual participants.
I just do not understand how you can claim these things with no proof. I would be more than happy to look into anything you had to prove what you say. I would even back you up if you had something solid to show me. Until then, I go with what I have read and that is that those who complain about anything on internet forums are usually in the minority because it is the nature of people with complaints to be vocal while those content are not.
A friend of mine and I were chatting and he said there is a descendant of Mary Malone in Rurikton named Miria Malone.
Mary had no children, given that Nick and . She’s of the Malone family though – likely from Mary’s little brother, Matthew Malone.
Some not mentioned:
There’s a Priory scholar in Iron Marches who’s descended from Kilnn Testibrie, and Bhuer Goreblade is descended from Drub Gorefang.
From the top of my head.
I believe you, but the GW2 wiki clearly states that Miria Malone is a descendant of Mary Malone. Not that the wiki is always right of course. But here is the link.
OP: Let not reward people actually playing the game, but I love throwing my cash to get stuff in the box-lotto…
Go drunk, you’re home.
Are you grammar stunted? I think your last line refers to you.
Sarcasm junior google it
I actually HAVE to explain a joke to you, that’s just sad.
Speaks volumes about you, princess.LOL. No. You don’t have to explain anything to me. I wasn’t referring to your last line, brain trust. I was talking about your first. Now, however, I can include the first line and the second run on sentence of your reply. It seems evident that you need to go back to the third grade and have some simple grammar issues explained to you, short bus.
You are calling me princess and junior? I guess that is fine. At least you used a dictionary to spell the words right. Wait. Maybe you sounded the words out. I don’t want to assume you know how to use a dictionary.
Did I use sarcasm correctly? I certainly want to live up to your expectations. It is so very important to me.
clap clap clap
Instead of buying your rewards, play the game to get your rewards.
Or should I place that info in a RNG box so you can buy that from me.
I don’t buy rewards. I just don’t complain about the people that do. I am happy to get the rewards I do from game play. I don’t think that anything is owed to me. Maybe I should stop now. This might be more information than you can handle at once.
OMG! Another ‘I Hate RNG’ thread. I guess 1,203,394,740,135 of these threads isn’t enough. We can always use one more.
It’s too soon to tell, this may become an “I hate grinding” thread, and there are only 1,189,153,924,103 of those.
That would be good, there are far less of those than the ‘I Hate RNG’ threads. It will break things up a bit.
So you love paying for rewards rather than playing the game?
Wow, what type of player are you?
The kind of player that doesn’t whine about the way the game is set up. I don’t pay for rewards. I’m also the kind of player that understands what the word random means. I’m the kind of player that does not throw tantrums when someone has a skin that I do not. I’m the kind that doesn’t think everything should be available to everyone because it is good for people to be different. I also am the kind that realizes that the game is there to make it’s company money not to go broke giving everyone everything they want for free.

I try to look at the big picture…
OMG! Not one of you people. LOL. Level headed people? I don’t know if the forums can handle that!
:D
I’m a thorn in the paw of this forum, among others…
Yes. And I like that. Me too.
RNG in GW2 is bad. No arguing about that.
Really? There has been plenty of argument about that. Have you read the rest of this thread?

This game isn’t perfect, by any standard, but it is one of the most fair games in the genre.
There isn’t a game out there that will ever be perfect. But I agree this game is very fair.
I think the complaints are mostly just coming from people who are used to having a clear advantage in other MMOs because of their chosen play style. Such as the problem with DR – you can wander through a zone all day long and do a variety of activities and never hit DR, or you can stand on a hill killing ettins for an hour and be punished for it. Some people don’t want to leave their comfort zone and think that if they complain about it loud and long enough, they won’t have to.
Ladies and Gentlemen there it is in a nutshell. A big, big +1 to you tolunart. And what these people complaining on the threads about RNG do not understand is that they are but a very small fraction of the player out there. ANet knows this. It isn’t as if ANet doesn’t care about their complaints, they just are not going to change their business structure for those unhappy that they can not get things the way they think they should be able to. I’m glad people like you and Hjorje are out there. Level headed and who exercise common sense.
@AntiGw +1 for your post. There is nothing wrong with RNG and this billionth “I Hate RNG” thread will not be the last.
RNG sucks, we all hate it, and it doesn’t have to be in an MMO in order for rare loot to be “hard to get”.
No “WE” do not all hate RNG. Some of us think it is just fine. I wish everyone complaining about it would get over it. It isn’t going away. It makes big money for Anet and NCSoft.
Also all the complainers think they should get to work for all these skins. There are probably just as many people who buy the RNG boxes that think that they shouldn’t have to grind or put in as many hours as others just to get a chance at RNG drops. Many people don’t have the amount of time to play as some do. So they buy gems. And if Anet has to choose between those that grind for RNG drops and those that pay for them, they are going to choose those that buy. They are in business to make money and they do quite well with that selling RNG boxes.
And finally, and I have said it over and over and over and over on these endless ‘I hate RNG’ threads, if you don’t like the game the way it is, find one you do like and play it.
A friend of mine and I were chatting and he said there is a descendant of Mary Malone in Rurikton named Miria Malone.
When I am in Divinity’s Reach I feel like I am in building orgy. There are a lot of buildings in a relatively small area and some of them connect with each other in not so natural ways.
Good one! I didn’t even consider the cities. I still enjoy roaming both Divinity’s Reach and Hoelbrak. Both of them are places of beauty in my opinion.
My favorite and IMO best looking place is Timberline Falls. I also think Caledon Forest and Frostgorge Sound are cool too.
As far as ugly all of Orr and most of Ascalon (Fireheart Rise in particular)
Kalla Scorchrazor from Pyre Fierceshot.
Queen Jennah from Salma.
Jhavi Jorasdottir from Jora.I have not gotten around to reading the history of Ebonhawke in Fields of Ruin. There may be others.
Cool! Thanks. I knew about Jennah. Stupid of me to forget that one.
