Of course. I am just pointing out that people don’t seem to have an issue with it happening in GW1 but here it is apparently the worst thing ever.

One should keep in mind that several of those armor sets were more or less slight reworks of already existing armors (which is apparently on par with the seven deadly sins on these forums) and that quite a few of the skills were also variants of already existing skills.

The whole “Actions have more consequences” isn’t really true either as far as I remember. You always had a rather set path with rather set NPCs with you.

Not saying it wasn’t good, but people do seem to ignore quite a bit of stuff when comparing.

Re-releasing dyes makes everyone except horders happy.

The only reason anyone could possibly have to be unhappy by this would be the simple reason that their collection loses a bit of in-game monetary value.

The actual time the event takes and the actual challenge, isn’t really that high, it all comes down to people being able to listen, and thus the rewards shouldn’t be much bigger than they are.

It would after all be quite silly to have 10 times the rewards for doing a 25 minutes event compared to a 1 hour dungeon.

I am fully aware about how to defeat Lupi in Arah solo, but I am still unable to do it.
If it was as easy as knowing the mechanics every single content ever released for everything would have been completed within hours of its release.

And yet it was completed within a week of release, by a server that have several hours long overflows. So clearly the issue is not as big as people in this thread make it out to be.

The Wurm have been defeated on Desolation.

Less than a week after release. So clearly it is fully possible to complete it out in the open world, and soon enough several other servers will most likely have downed it.

They very much allow criticism, but it must be constructive.
The thread in question was basically: “I hate this content, you suck for making this content” and that is not very constructive, thus it was removed.

It is indeed not normal that you would get 1000003 dyes from 10 kits, so clearly something was wrong with it

10 packs give you exactly what you pay for: A CHANCE (and a rather low one at that, 6 out of 25) of an exclusive dye, no guarantees, and if you are after a specific dye it is simply smarter to buy it directly from the TP.

I say it’s time they give us a list. We get to choose one thing from that list and it will be implemented by Valentine’s day. You are aware that coding, testing and implementing something in less than 2 weeks (considering the thread would need to be open for some time) is more or less impossible, right? Unless it is something so minor so that people would whine about them focusing on pointless stuff.

And what if they do put up a list, something gets decided and then an issue turns up that requires them to pull people away from said thing, and thus can’t release it on Valentines day? We all know what will happen on these forums if that is the case.

We know that they are working on Edge of the Mists, we know that it is the main focus of the WvW dev-team now.

We know that it is somewhat close to release and we know that there will be nothing major in WvW before that is released.

What else can they tell us?

We did have the ability to buy a permanent Royal Pass a couple of weeks ago. So it will most likely come back at some point.

One could of course question why people should get rewards at all for failing.

There is a rather large amount of story in the LA instance, and in Scarlet’s Lair, including rather interesting indications about what will come next, and some things more or less confirming certain theories that have been discussed on these forums and reddit.

I would say it is rather clear that my post was answering posts about the game having only 1% of stuff to do with guilds, which is false, and thus I supplied some information to show that there is indeed quite a bit of guild stuff going on.

There is a picture of a dolyak with jetpacks in the Hideout.

Because it is part of the challenge.
It requires planning and such, and also stops people from simply WP-spam the chain battles.

Story mode dungeon is more or less about Destiny’s Edge, which is very much a guild.

Are you assuming that someone who is building and repairing barricades doesn’t also go through the portal? Why would that be the case in general or assumed about the OP from their post? Building and repairing barricades increases the chance for success by increasing the distance mobs must travel and forcing them to stack at choke-points and they should get built.

I am assuming that simply because that is basically what the OP is saying.
If he had gone through the portal he would have gotten credit (and thus rewards) for the event.

And if they fix that people will simply use more advanced macros and bots to keep “active”. And since they would not really be used to gain any kind of actual advantage I doubt ArenaNet would bother with the more or less impossible task hunt them down and ban them.

Of course not all of them are, nor did I ever claim such a thing.
What I said was that you shouldn’t punish people that might have to get a phone-call simply because it happens to take a couple of minutes, which would be the issue if they decreased the AFK-timer too much.

And the main reason platforms fail is because people keep assuming that everyone knows exactly what to do.

Every time I have seen people giving clear instructions before and during the fight, we have cleared it without much trouble.

It is fully possible to complete it without ever having someone repairing (or even building) the barriers though.
Not killing the champs and cutting of the chains is however not possible to do if you want to complete the event.

AG have completed the Marionette, at least once.
And the fact that other servers have it more or less on farm and even overflows complete it quite often would suggest that there is really nothing to fix.

People simply need to organize, which clearly AG can do.

Also, make the future content PERMANENT with animated cut scenes. Ditch the visual novel storytelling style that was used too heavily in the PS. There is a reason visual novels don’t sell well in the West: They don’t allow the characters to convey body language, facial expressions, and actions that heavily used by English speakers

The issue with that is that animated cut scenes take a rather massive amount of time and resources to create, which would either mean much less story in each update, or less updates overall.

About 100% of the Story Mode Dungeons are very much related to guilds (or well, one specific guild).
The Pact could be considered a type of guild as well, and so could the Orders.

I don’t think that it is Mordremoth itself, but I do think it is very likely that it is one of his champions.

If you only ever building and repairing Barricades you are really doing something wrong.
It would most likely require you to stand around doing nothing at times and clearly not helping with the most crucial part of the event (the chain parts).

People wanting to avoid AFK-timer will simply auto-run into the wall to bypass it, so I don’t really see how decreasing it will change much.

Changing it to as short as 10 minutes would risk kicking people out of a map simply because they got a phonecall or someone knocked at the door, which is quite bad if you have been on the main server and get kicked 5 minutes before a big event starts simply due to the afk-timer.

You are aware that the Wurm (which is the only of the two bosses that are actually hard) is permanent with permanent achievements and not really tied into the Living Story achievements, right?

GW2 have never been F2P.

After you try the Wurm and the Marionette the Living Story panel will update and bring you to LA, where you will get into a story instance with quite a bit of information (don’t forget to talk to the NPCs), and when that is done you will get the objective to find a way into the secret Hideout which is marked by a golden star.

The best way to deal with it is to simply report them for Verbal abuse.
Hopefully that will mean we will get rid of them, at least temporarily.

It is not the “elite” players’ fault if there are events open to everyone that require previous knowledge of what is going to happen, certain degrees/types of equipment, high levels even if the map itself is a low-level one and that can be failed due to a small amount of inexperienced or not well prepared players.
Blame the design of the events – the issues are all there.

So it is ArenaNets fault that people behave like children when stuff doesn’t go the way they want?

I get a bit annoyed as well when we fail, but for some reason I have never attacked anyone about it, but I suppose I might be an unique snowflake.

There might have been a bit of complaints about Tequatl, but it is still getting killing several times per day on different servers, so clearly people do like it.

So people that are not part of those “elite groups” that are doing said instanced fights should never be able to do it or even see the fight?

There is currently a grand total of 2 of these fights in the game (Tequatl and Wurm or 3 if you want to count the Marionette.) out of how many?

They should never mechanically lock people out of content, which they would if you were required to be part of a pre-made large group.
