Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square
You guys haven’t given me an answer other than, hurrr durr i see people in my instances.
Because there are no official numbers to give.
People are talking about actual experiences of the game. That is as much info as you will be able to get.
bumpitybump since people seems to get their missed blooms now and starts asking again.
The merchant is in the Priory.
They are at the Priory.
Since people have been asking it multiple times in the last 20 minutes I figured it would be better to just post a new thread about it.
The Mordrem Bloom vendor currently hangs around in the Priory, which can be found here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Durmand_Priory_
As per Gailes comment here:
If you earned blooms during that period but did not receive them or received fewer than the intended amount, they will be sent to you via in-game mail. NPCs will remain in place — particularly in the Priory.

Well, there was a contest a while ago where people could submit new emblems.
You are also underestimating the amount of time it takes to make stuff it seems.
You complain about ugly emblems (which is subjective) and yet you think it would only take 3 minutes to draw better ones?
The never specified a time, they said that it would take a couple of days.
Here is also a good tool to see what the devs have posted: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/devtracker
If people could just read what we are being told they would know that there is a vendor in the Priory.
Well… looking at the gold to gem ratio I would say that there were plenty of items people wanted to buy on the sale.
You select server in launch and stay there. That is loyalty.
So someone that have never ever set their foot in WvW but have been on the server since day 1 is more loyal than someone that have been in WvW several hours each day since they transferred two years ago?

Because weapon and utilities are part of the Elite Specialization, while the standard weapons and utilities are tied to the profession itself.
Most likely due to balancing.
Being able to use for example Chronomancer utility skills while at the same time also being able to use the same three standard lines as people are using now would most likely lead to rather bad and unbalanced results.

So what you want is basically the ability to use the Elite Specializations with no downside?
Seems like they could introduce some kind of verification process, as the only gold seller here is anet themselves, I don’t mind waiting a week as gold is just that. however to know im restricted against receiving anything for 2 weeks now has me a bit aggravated. or perhaps a small pop up that says “you will be capped if you accept this ect”.
Gold sellers can also verify their accounts. Thus it would make the whole limitation completely pointless.
So they should create 51 different armors?
And how would the whole shorter/no queue time even work? Should they reserve special spots for “loyal” people that they can take? What if all those a full? Should they kick others from the map?
^ But that is just the thing. People didn’t finish the events, they made sure to NOT finish them in order to get more champions to spawn for bags.
Not replying != not listening.
In fact we have plenty of examples from the beta testing of HoT alone that proves that they listen. Such as weapon swap for Revenant and the removal of float from the Chronomancer Elite ( ).
Where are these “a lot of game blocking bugs”?
And as for them communicating more: Try reading the Mordrem Invasion feedback thread. The amount of outright hatred in replies to that post is enough for most people to simply walk away.
They do communicate more at times, but every time they do they are met with either hatred or having their words twisted to something other than what they actually said. Or being claimed to have lied if something changes slightly between talking about something and it being released.
Now if you combine the two events … Give champs loot in mordrem you don’t force players porting around .. And everything is ok …
So basically end up with the exact same issue that we had during the Scarlet Invasion that prompted ArenaNet to remove the loot from them in the first place? People refusing to finish events but rather just scale them up to farm Champion Bags. Not to mention the abuse for people that wanted to finish the events.

I did not read that it was asked only about the story length?
“is heart of thorns going to be very short?”
To be fair if you read more than the title of the post you would see the actual question:
looks like its going to be a fraction of the zhaitan questline.
We do, if we buy the expansion before October 23rd.
" We also are going to postpone our plans to organize an in-game event around the Mordrem Invasion this afternoon."
Aww
At PAX is the latest mention of it. When they talked about raids and adding more raids being added with the Living Story starting up again after HoTs release.
Anet defined grind so that nothing in their game could ever be defined as a grind, while in reality you would need to grind much more than any other game in existence.
And people will actually defend this like you were trying to murder their child.
Good luck.
You have clearly played very few games. There are a rather large amount of game that are waaaaay more grind than GW2.
There have never been a “no grind” philosophy.
There have been (and still is) “no need to grind in order to access content philosophy”.
Not a lot, but you can’t deny that this is any more different than for example Orr events that we used to farm back when the game was new in 2012. You’d think by now they’d move on from the more ‘basic’ mob and event mechanics that the game started off with would you not?
It was more specifically about the point that they should have added new mechanics. New mechanics takes time and resources. Something that they most like can’t (and shouldn’t) spare this close to the release of an expansion.
Surprised people are even motivated to partake in this event to be honest. How they still feel its fine to regurgitate this brain dead content I don’t know. Yeah they are ‘focused on HoT’ but come on man *this is just beyond basic they could at least apply some new mechanics. *
How much game-development (or any development for that matter) have you done in your life?
I suppose it is better if they simply don’t release anything at all. Oh but wait, when they did that people whined about them not releasing anything.
Yes, there are some issues with the event. Yes, it could have been better.
But it is rather silly to first rage like mad for months about lack of content, and then when we finally get content, complain about how bad said content is and how they would be better of not releasing it at all.
“Omg the server lagged and I lost my lvl 80 HC character, I demand that ArenaNet brings it back to life and compensate me for all the time I spent on it!!!!”
Yeah… lets not.
what text do they need to read? the text that I will write in chat?
no need to translate or read anything, just add 10 text symbols for chatting, nothing more
They need to be able to read it, in order to make sure that it does not contain abuse or other breaches of the ToS.
“This means that u HAVE to tag events and then move on, not helping to complete it.”
No, what you HAVE to do is not blobbing with 60 other people at the exact same event.
The game have scaling.
I WP’d around to all close events I could completing them and have only come out with 16 stacks at most.
Dunno what you are doing.
I walked around with a small group completing events.
Unfortunately the only way to get that many stacks is to run to an event, tag a few mobs, then just leave.
Truely the biggest mistake of this event was ALLOWING that.
That is outright lying though. I got 26 stacks while still completing all the events that I found.
Running together with the whole map as a massive blob however, is not a good idea, since the events scales and thus takes longer.
Thats the impression you got after they merged a front page thread at the very top of the page with a provocative topic and numerous posts with a quietly titled page-3 thread that got few responses?
Isn’t it more like “lets attach this report of our poor performance to something that fell off the front page quickly so that it doesn’t continue to attract much attention”?
The right move to take would be to either reply or not touch the thread at all. Merging with a quiet topic is just a less blatant way of locking something. I guess its all subjective.
Except for the fact that it was on the front page for like 4 hours you mean? Fact still remains that they are clearly aware of the thread (and the fact that it links to the removed article), thus it would make very little sense for them to not remove (or at the very least lock it) if they didn’t want their supposed take-down spread.
^ I would say we have rather active communication at the moment.
I don’t know. 20 blooms (an hour) can be traded for stuff that have the chance of giving items worth very much gold.
Huh?
I played as usual (stayed and completed the events) yesterday and I had 26 by the time it was over.
But then again I didn’t run with a big blob but rather with smaller groups, which makes it faster due to not scaling up like mad.
But once again: It is a matter of ArenaNet needing to hire people that can read the text, and that is not free.
Yes, HoT will be required for Season 3.
Oh, but you are.
You are showing everyone on these forums their exact advertisement including the link to their site.
Your point was that it was F2Ps fault, which makes little sense considering that the account that spammed you doesn’t seem to be a F2P one and thus would have existed even without F2P.
And yet here you are, advertising their service.
It is of course also worth pointing out that the user can’t be a F2P account, since that is rather clearly more than one message per 30 seconds.
Season 2 ended with the announcement of HoT in January.
Season 3 will start after HoT is released.
Did you buy and register the core game before the announcement of HoT?

So basically: ArenaNet are the worst ever for not giving us something to do while working on the expansion.
And now: ArenaNet are the worst ever that gives us pointless events that we don’t like.
Clearly the want/need for content that people have been claiming will kill the game for months wasn’t as big as it was made out to be.
The funny thing is, I sent Krall DMs on the issue, but they seem to have flown over his head.
This is the DM you sent me. And since you clearly don’t actually have any sort of insider insight of TTH I wouldn’t really say that this proves anything at all:
As for the article being taken down, Persistentworlds has commented diplomatically (in thread). His twitter mentions it (“I’d rather not get into why we had to take it down.”), but I don’t want him getting into any more trouble with Anet, as they were apparently very aggressive, as per Lewis via DM:
“ArenaNet were very unhappy about it being negative, and we had little choice but to take it down”
“I also had to unpublish it on our site too. We felt pretty bullied last night by what they said. Very sad.”
I don’t really want to put that on reddit, as I don’t want Lewis catching any more blowback from Anet due to his disclosure.
Since this thread is still very much unlocked and we know that the mods have seen it (got notification about it being merged) that would suggest that this is not ArenaNets doing. If it was, they would most likely have deleted this thread a long time ago.
Having an endless supply of easy loot is usually never a good thing though. While it might not be as good as champion loot bags even regular mob-drops (especially material) can earn people quite much.
Blame the players for abusing the system.
Yes, how dare they use a system where you are, sooner or later, guaranteed to get the exact reward you want rather than hoping that you get a good random drop?
Because people abuse the system, scale up the event to spawn champions and then stand around letting the champions spawn for easy bags and abuse anyone that tries to actually finish the event.
