It worked well the last time, thus no reason to spend time and resources to test it again when it is so close to release and thus won’t really be time to change much based on any new feedback.

Its hypocritical to say levels and gear are not being incresed so this means content is not being invalidated and at the same time introduce an entirely new system of progression.

Lightbringer was a single skill, masteries are much much more.

But the new progression system does in no way or form effect the old stuff. You will still have just as hard time to finish dungeon X as you did before.

Lightbringer was multiple skills AND outright stat-increase against certain mobs.

I never understood why all three BLs had to be identical. I like Eotm or EB for being differnt. How cool would it be if all three maps were different from one another. Sometimes I have to look at the spawn to see what map I’m on since they are all cookie cuttered.

Because if they were not one would always be better than the others and thus the server having that as a home border would be at a mechanical advantage.

It is worth pointing out that historically scaling in this game have been rather bad, and thus it is rather likely that scaling raids would have the same issues and either become way too hard or way too easy at certain numbers.

But it is not a new tier. Stat-wise it is identical to Ascended, which is fully available outside of raids. Heck, legendary is already an existing tier for that matter.

You are aware that Datamining only finds stuff that is currently in the client, right? That means that unless every single part of the expansion is already in the client, your statement is rather premature.

Heck, as far as I am aware we still don’t even have the full Verdant Brink map datamined.

One with three wings. First being made available a few weeks after release with the other two coming a couple of weeks after that.

More raids coming with the Living Story releases that starts up again after release of HoT.

My only concern about this decision is, usually f2p areas/servers are hell in other games. Lots of immature behaviour, which makes serious players rush into paid accounts or member servers. The only problem is, we can’t do that, since f2p is mixed with paid accounts. The only option would be to hide in HoT area after the release, but I also would love to do my daily world bosses without having to deal with “f2p scum”.

You are disregarding the fact that free accounts can’t use map chat.

This is a weird limitation.. Just allow GuildLeaders to maintain full control of vault access like it has been for years.

It is to make it harder for gold-sellers and such I would guess.

level 60 before WvW is somewhat of a limitation. Hopefully they will change how the daily log in rewards work so leveling scrolls aren’t just wait three months before that spare free account can be used for naughty business in WvW.

It is not possible to transfer characters across accounts, so no.

^ And what happens if your account get compromised and the “hacker” decides to sell everything of worth and then request a reset of the account?

If the account is reset it is extremely unlikely that they would be able to go back to the earlier state, since it most likely deletes all that information.

Not to mention the fact that achievement chests and such include stuff that can very much effect the economy and there are 1-time only deals on the gem store that also gives stuff that can turn into rather valuable things to be sold.

^ I would say the opposite in fact. The reason we are getting it so close to (but yet before) Halloween might be because they will package the celebration with the HoT update.

There was a grand total of two bugs as far as I could see. One which could rather easily be bypassed.

It was by no means perfect. But it is not like the whole map is full of game-breaking bugs.

1: The fact that transmuting gear was not free for beta characters. While I know that this is trivial just something I thought would be free. (Yes I know if you went to each capital you got a transmute charge but it still was a pain).

Why would they want people to waste time transmuting gear in a beta?

But it is up front.
They stated very clearly multiple times both before and during Season 2 that you could unlock it for free by logging in and otherwise you could buy it for gems.

They did never ever in any way or form ever say that you would never need to pay anything other than the original box-cost to access everything in the game forever.

No, there really isn’t. Nobody is sitting there brute-forcing anet accounts, and if they are that is entirely on anet for allowing it. Especially since anet has had 2 step authorization since a couple of weeks after launch. So basically we have two options, anet isn’t stopping brute force attacks or people are using the same password for everything. Both scenarios indicate avoidable stupidity and have nothing to do with me.

So you are claiming that there is no such thing as key-loggers for example?

^ That is of course assuming that those mails are the only way to lose your account.
That is not the case. There is plenty of other ways to lose access, without ever giving out the details to anyone.

You can just activate the other method of authentication I believe. At least I have not gotten any prompts to add my phone-number and I have the other one active.

As for the whole situation: Aye, you paid for the game. So did everyone else. And everyone else will get “hurt” when people without good security loses access to their accounts to spammers and hackers.

Because sylvari are made in the image of human.

Humans, Sylvari and Norn are all human-shaped, and thus using a human-like styling logic make sense.

Charr and Asura however, does in no way or form resemble humans, and thus it would make little sense for them to use the same kind of styling as humanlike races.

You are trying to apply human-like styling on non-human races, which makes very little sense.

Male and female humans dress differently because they are physically different. That is not the case with Asura.

Why would Asura (a completely different race than humans) use the same gender styling as us?

Asura and Charr are very far from human, and thus it would be silly to add the same gender styling to them as to the human-like races.

Actually, I would claim that Twitch overall is a rather bad way of marketing something, especially considering the extreme toxicity in the twitch-chat and the fact that streamers usually only show a very specific thing rather than the game as a whole.

Wouldn’t that create a problem with people abusing others trying to do the event if you want to solo it for extra stuff?
