with the recipes, you have to consume it on the character you want to use it on, because it will only turn up for the character you consumed it on. it is not an account unlock. it is a character unlock, even though the recipe sheet is account bound, the unlock isn’t.

oh no, I’m pretty sure it’ll return, things tend to return to the gem store. I just wished that when it does return it comes as both the pack and a separate outfit. I fail at typing today, so it probably didn’t come across like that though

karma always has at least one use (if you ignore gold conversion): obsidian shards, and with the legendary mastery making legendaries more accessible, I’d say it still has its uses in regards to the expansion

I don’t think this would be such an issue if people didn’t introduce their friends to the game with false expectations of what they are going to encounter.

a lot of people have had positive experiences with the F2P game. it is only when they start with friends and their friends are telling them that they can go to LA, or DR, or do that skill point from the start, etc. I think if their friends knew what they should expect, their experiences would be much better, like those who pick it up alone.

saying that, I think it would be a great thing to open up the cities to F2P players and allow them to travel between the cities, so they can see the differences between the areas, and interact with more people

close HideMyIP and retry the download. that is what is stopping you from downloading

are you running LowerPing, or something similar? if you are, try closing it while downloading the game

After many attempts to join the server I cannot find a time of day, or day of week that the server is not full.

A “Full” server is a server with a number of Active WvW Players above a certain threshold. it has nothing to do with PvE players, or time of day.

you’ll be waiting a long time before the server registers as anything but full, even when the active player count goes down.

In order to stay with my guild when not on their home server I have to possibly pay every two months in order to continue playing with them.

if you have a guild with the lost precipice guild hall, you can go through there to access Verdant Brink and get your mastery point/access to the map/complete the story mission.

or you can use a teleport to friend if you have one.

yes, your friend can join you in the LWs2, even if they don’t have the content themselves. they won’t get any of the rewards though.

if they have HoT, they can join you in the HoT story too. they don’t have to be at that place in the story themselves.

it does work, but you do have to have the staff as your weapon for it to work (not just equipped as your secondary weapon). I just tested it. without the trait ‘Retreat’ swiftness duration is 20s, with the trait and with a staff equipped the swiftness duration is 22s

tooltips and equipment panel don’t show the increase, but if I remember right, it does actually function

I’m not sure how selecting a server on f2p accounts works, but if it’s how it works on paid accounts, he could have accidentally selected an EU server to play on.

I’d ask your friend what server he’s on (the name of it) and check to make sure he’s on a NA server (if nothing else than to rule it out as the reason).

are you in the same region? as in are you both on an EU or a NA server? if one of you is on an NA server and the other on an EU server, then you can’t join each other.

go to your account, then game content. download the 32-bit setup from there. once downloaded, rename it to gw2.exe and put it where you have the game installed (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\) and overwrite the gw2.exe already there.

after that, put the -32 in your command line. it will stay the 32 bit client that way.

it makes sense that it procs takedown round. despite it not doing direct damage, it is still a strike against a foe, which is the trigger for the trait.

if you want to stay in stealth, untrait takedown round.

as long as you have Eye of the North, you can still play GW1 and earn points.

the yellow named xp booster in the Enchanted Reward Boosts last 20 mins, but the blue named ones in the list do last 1 hour

the crazy gold price is caused by players exchanging gold for gems, but not many exchanging gems for gold. it is constantly in flux because the pool of gems is not infinite, as some people seem to think.

the rise this time is probably caused by the new glider skin being released, as well as the aviator sunglasses return.

I located the problem. it’s not just about completing the story line. You need to complete on a character with the order you chose to join earlier on. Vigil for vigil belt, priory for priory belt, whispers for whispers belt. This needs more clarification or put the items on separate story instances.

I see people say that sometimes, but the character I completed it on was in the vigil, and I decided to go for the whispers backpiece because I liked it better. never had a problem getting the whispers belt, or any of the other pieces for it.

if that is the case for every other back piece, then I guess I need to start taking notes on who’s in which order

you can only get the item once per character, so if you’ve already got it on that character for one of the other collections, you can’t get it again with that character.

I voted for Dragon’s Watch. not because I liked it. I didn’t like any of the options, but Dragon’s Watch was the least cringe worthy to me, and with it being pretty passive, best described the group of ‘heroes’ I’ve come to tolerate and mostly ignore as I did everything.

open the M3U in notepad (open notepad >> click file then open >> browse to the Music folder >> click the drop down to the right of the file name box and change it from ‘Text Documents’ to ‘All Files’ >> double click the m3u)

in notepad you should see lists of things like this:

thing is, the game needs the full location of the mp3 to work properly, so if yours looks like that, you need to change them to something like this:
#EXTINF:113,MusicName
C:\Users\User\Music\Music.mp3

just throwing this out there, because this tripped me up before with custom playlists.

out of curiosity, how did you expect the animations to look when moving in different directions?

me and my gf had an issue with this as well. the torches cast no light at all in the maze, only the glowing orb that you’re supposed to follow around (but only one person can see that).

we both play full screen mode, so that wasn’t the issue.

edit: added a screenie I took just now. you can see the faint purple glow of the torch on the right side that isn’t casting any light.

it gets slightly lighter with light adaptation turned on (which I don’t play with), but the torches still cast no light.

it was working fine a few weeks ago, but from what you say it sounds like it’s bugged. you might want to report it in game

if no other events are happening in the area, after the lodestone event you have to follow him back to Degun Shun. he’ll show Drizla his pet to impress her, then he’ll turn into a merchant after all the dialogue has finished.

if the event where Degun Shun is being attacked is happening, or it was completed/starting just after the lodestone event, then you might have to wait for the lodestone event to happen again.

in a party, you can click the person in the party list to target them.

no, you need the recipe for the actual piece eg. Charged Ambrite Orichalcum Amulet and the jewel recipe

the ‘Upgrade to Heart of Thorns’ thing isn’t actually needed, buying just the core game, and doing the SMS verification will unlock the account fully after 5 days.

not sure why it says to upgrade to HoT, but you can ignore it.

I think it’s because the change takes away the legend part of the skillbar. other classes don’t need that part of the bar to fully function, but revenant has nothing without a legend.

there sure is:

1. open the trading post.
2. click the My Transactions tab across the top (this is where all your buy and sell orders are listed)
3. on the left panel click Buying under Current Transactions
4. find the thing you want to cancel in the list.
5. click the cancel button. and again to confirm.

after cancelling, your gold will be in the pick up box.
