i don’t do chests unless i get a key from drops so unless i am extemely lucky (and my record tells me not at all) i can’t have any of them, i have bin waiting for the raven for quite some time.
i want 2 ravens with me when i play ranger, if i could even rename the mini i would call it muninn. (pet raven is called huginn)
why not just making it so that when you have a grandfathered character with all skills and traits unlocked you get just as much hero points to get back to what you already have.
however, hero point challenges don’t work the same as normal, instead of giving you a hero point you get nothing.
so instead of setting characters back, you remain as powerful as before (or better, depends on how the new system improves us) but challenges do nothing to these characters.
i see both sides here, players want armor skins to mix but Anet wants outfits because it saves time.
you have to keep in mind that every time they release an armor skin they need to make one of each armor weight, an outfit can be used by every weight type.
i personally think they should make a mix, i like outfits because i don’t have to buy charges to change my armor all the time, it also makes it easier to have something good looking from the start.
so what i think is that we should be able to choose what parts of an outfit we want, each part is individually chosen so you can mix armor and outfit styles.
lich leggings with elegance collar and cultural chest piece, you can mix them all.
i want more armor skins but i also don’t want to pay for charges every single time i switch armor, this will lower the problem quite a bit.
i dunno about you but i love the female one, finally an armor that looks more fantasized and not a hulking tuna can.
The Skins/pets from 1-30 HoM discounting the titles & ap. If your linked atm you can still get the ap/titles but nothing else.
Something i at least am grateful for.
well it shouldn’t take over a month to fix the exploit and re activate the HoM
As for this, it took two months for anet to fix the rangers pet mechanic, a month and a half to fix challenge motes, and 3 months to fix guild chat. It takes them a long time to fix things.
there are over 3.5 mill accounts, let’s see how fast you work with that amount of work AND having tons of other stuff to do.
i would love it if beta tokens only drop for ppl with less then 5K AP or less then 100% luck, the outcry of farmers and zergers would be a joy to watch
there should really be a GW1 event in GW2, something like nostalgia week or something with all kinds of drops you can normally only get in GW1.
for instance, classic dye drops from enemies, the commander class as buyable costume and armor, have an event at divinity’s reach with contests, have some of the GW1 event hats as rewards.
just think how much fun it would be, there is so much in GW1 that an event like that would be quite huge.
Would female characters get that option too? :p
Well, GW2 was not designed by Heavy Metal Magazine cover artists, Luis Royo or Azpiri, so I’ll go ahead and guess not.
if only, if only.
i love luis his art, i have 2 books of his art and got a calendar of dead moon
their own fault, we got an article about how dungeons would work and ppl got exited.
the first mistake was to make dungeons a type of grind, making dungeon-exclusive armors crazy expensive so it forces you to do a dungeon multiple times just for 1 armor piece.
then they “fixed” the “problem” of waypointing after death so now only a really small group of specific kind of players can complete it.
they also assume that everyone likes hard mode, yet another mistake.
so now they made sure that you have a small group still playing dungeons and the rest is ether playing fractuals or stay in the open world/LW content.
in the end they wasted a huge portion of their own effort to create dungeons but never considered all the angles.
i am not laughing not mopping about it, just wondering when Anet wakes up from their dream world and finally become realistic about the problems they them self have put in the game.
If shirtless was an option I could level a second ele as Charr!
if they finally make an option for straight standing charr then that would make things a ton better

what ppl see here: let’s remove builds that don’t work for our meta so you can use the meta builds.
what i see: let’s limit the choice of making a build how i want it and simply force players to play how meta freaks want you to play.
how Anet sees this: i want this game to spoon-feed me so much that i can only use perfect builds, diversity is not needed.
This is a ludicrous change. For Warriors to get 50% uptime of retaliation with no boon duration as a minor trait, it’s just madness. It was already a great trait for PvP/WvW and I used it all the time, but now I get free Rousing Resillience to make me even more OP. This needs to be swapped with Cull the Weak or Armoured Attack at very least.
people complaining about warriors when one of the most broken [censored] classes in the game is getting 50% dmg reduction while in stealth as a baseline to their profession. on top of a bunch of crazy damage additions.
I wouldn’t mind it so kitten much, if they finally introduced active counter measures for stealth, like for example drop an AoE stealth detection field with a 350 radius, any stealthed enemies entering the field are revealed for 10 seconds. reveal cannot be stripped and stacks duration.
this solution works when you at least have seen the player go stealth but cast fear, i use that all the time with my necro and it makes stealth pretty much useless. (that and when i calculate how long it takes for them to get close i can just cast well of darkness and stealth doesn’t really matter anymore.)
In it’s current state it’s one of the stronger classes in sPvP. Terrormancer and MM are absurdly strong builds, and DS burst is also incredibly strong in WvW.
They’re lackluster in PvE, but a class focused on control and conditions would be expected to be due to the way dungeons and world bosses are designed. We’ll also see what happens with the removal of the condi cap and poison being stackable. If anything, I’d expect to see condi sinister builds as providing the highest DPS by a far margin if the stack cap is removed.
ROFL are you kidden me they are NOT lackluster in PVE I do amazing dps and don’t have no issues doing it.
you do know necro’s are NOT made for DPS but instead to support/control in battle……
i know i know, you think you have awesome DPS, until you see what a basic warrior can do……
GS is better be condi weapon and have leap, block, condi removal and fear skill.
Please no, I want to actually be useful in PVE. Totally cool with having leaps, blocks and fears on it though.
no block, no fear.
i actually want this to be a weapon that can be used to do crazy damage with quite some good survivability.
a bit like having a swoop for AOE KB with skills that can use an arm of the undead to do massive AOE damage around the selected enemy.
we really don’t need even more conditions on necro’s, we have pretty much all of the weapons for that, we need raw damage and quickly so.
i hope they are finally gonna add something for arcane, like a weapon line so you can play as an arcane mage with the appropriate trait line.
or at least something along the lines.
i have played games like that and the problem is that, the first few times it’s cool but then it’s getting boring and repetitive.
i do think they should add a more dynamic animation system (so one skill doesn’t use only one animation set) but to make it like cabel online is really not as good an idea then it sounds in your head, trust me on that.
i am just saving it for the new prof, i got tired on leveling so many chars and it’s about time i can play something new with something new.
but then the question remains, combine with what?
you can combine it with a certain trait and still have no use for it, other times you combine it and it makes the trait way to powerful on it’s own.
IMO it should be done as a minor trait, it’s along the way to improve your character but you don’t have to weaken your build just to get this.
actually, we only have about 4 skills like GW1, we are forced to have a healing skill and weapon skills can’t be changed.(most in GW1 uses an elite skill anyway that’s why i don’t see that as forced)
- cracks knuckles *
This is ridiculous. If no one else is gonna say it, then ill be the one to do it.
A brief list as to why:
1. This would be unbelievably immersion breaking.
the game doesn’t even have immersion so what exactly is it breaking?
2. This would be inappropriate for a T-Rated game,
based on how a majority would use it.
firstly, the worst thing you can say in a argument is a statement about the so called majority, you are not the majority and the majority would think so to.
secondly, we have armor that is allot more revealing then simply removing the top armor, get off your high horses.
3. This would be nonsensical in a combat-driven world.
but a broom to fly on or a magic carpet that has absolutely no other use then cosmetic does?
4. This has no forseeable positive effect on aggregate
player experience, and in turn not be worth a second of
a developer’s time.
except for your post all of them are possitive, you’re quite the glass half empty aren’t you.
also, what is worth the dev time according to you doesn’t remove the worth according to others, it’s more what Anet thinks is worth the time.
well, i have barely hit the 4K AP so….see how much i have to do, plenty.
not enough content is one thing, rushing through everything and complain about the lack of is another.
all i am wondering about is if they actually have something useful to buy ones the SP’s are changed in the different currency, i barely to never use the MF so any change like that would be quite useless unless there is some profit out of this.
i got the chest 2X while doing the big event in SW, do that for a chance…….and i am really unlucky with drops so you can’t have it any worse.
what they should do is let player get involved in the rebuilding of LA, like having a pillar that needs a crazy amount of damage before it’s destroyed or you can supply certain places with supplies.
Anet wants something before HoT is released, we want LA rebuild, combine the two and you have a map that players can help rebuild.
i don’t have a 100% map completion ankitten ot planning in doing it any time soon, i really don’t like dungeons but AFAIK it’s something forced.
so in short, you’re forced to do stuff you don’t like, changing the game in to labor. If you PvP, you have and will have everything unlocked and ignore PvE content.
If you PvE, you can choose to ignore map completion, skill challenges and dungeons (not tied to the current system, btw), but you don’t get everything for free. It’s not like other games let you start with a fully-leveled, fully-geared toon, either.
i currently have about 8 characters grandfathered so i have all the traits on them, what they are doing is pretty much destroying them completely.
you’re ignoring quite a huge part here, i (and many others) have characters that luckily don’t have the NPE trait crap but with this change they pretty much force everyone of them to grind all that crap just to get everything back they already had to start with.
if it ruins everything i will just leave the game, it will permanently show how much GW1 is superior.
if it does improve the game then i will first see in what way, do we still have as much freedom to change traits at any given time or is a point spent at times a point wasted.I think they mentioned in there and respeccing will be just as easy.
just as easy and just as free is still a question that needs answering
they said that they are gonna make traits more rewarding before but in the end we need to pay even more for them, i really hope they are not gonna do this again with respeccing.
i’m wondering why i keep seeing ppl saying necro’s don’t have support skills, the more i see this the more it becomes clear they just play a necro to do zerger and never bother to infest on necro knowledge.
necro’s are not made for zergs, however, they are quite powerful for boss fights.
they do have plenty of support but sadly way to many ppl focus to much on DPS, there is more then berzerker builds, try toughness, cond dmg and healing for instance and you’ll see how powerful necro’s can really be.
now about the rev, i am not judging on it’s power until they actually let ppl play in open beta.
it’s way to early to say “the rev outshines X prof” while the devs are not even done finishing the prof in the first place, don’t judge a cookie’s taste till the cookie is baked and tasted.
i love it when pro open world players try to defend something so flawed and even attack reason, shows the exact reason why not.
and what if i never use the MF, doesn’t that mean they are giving me something completely useless in return for something even less?
if i have to repeat my self for the countless amount of times why it’s a horrible idea then i wonder how good ppl’s search ability is.
open world PvP is bad no matter how you slice it, it creates a hostile world that ends up being a nightmare to manage.
the abuse, the toxicity, the harassment, the huge amount of spam that comes out of this.
and i have not even talked about how full the report list becomes, the amount of ppl leaving the game because of this.
you see only good in this, go beyond that and you see the ugly side of this.
it’s not a matter of ignoring something or avoiding it, even when your guild is not at war how would you like it when you get about 20 mails and whispers from other guilds challenging you every….single……DAY!
oh and btw, while some members like the war, others might not, do you seriously expect them to just abandon the guild they hav bin in for about 2 years or more?
i never use the MF, i see no need for it so….love to see actual gold out of it.
if it ruins everything i will just leave the game, it will permanently show how much GW1 is superior.
if it does improve the game then i will first see in what way, do we still have as much freedom to change traits at any given time or is a point spent at times a point wasted.
yeah, compelling, we’re compelled to leave the game to die.
they said they have a solution for the trait problem, all they did was screwing us over all over again.
they said they are gonna set things right, all they did was making sure that we are now forced to do all the things we deliberately avoided.
i don’t have a 100% map completion ankitten ot planning in doing it any time soon, i really don’t like dungeons but AFAIK it’s something forced.
so in short, you’re forced to do stuff you don’t like, changing the game in to labor.
i hope they are gonna make trait unlocks acount bound (and i heard they are), if so i hope this means all my grandfathered character will unlock all the traits.
i am surely never gonna unlock them with this BS system, it would mean the end of this game if they even force me to unlock them on my existing characters.I don’t see how having account bound traits would be helpful…unless you have multiples of one profession.
i have……
if they force this on existing characters then i am gonna leave this game, i already left SWToR because they screwed up the trait system and Anet need to be ether extremely kittened or just plain stupid if they change this for grandfathered characters.
i hope they are gonna make trait unlocks acount bound (and i heard they are), if so i hope this means all my grandfathered character will unlock all the traits.
i am surely never gonna unlock them with this BS system, it would mean the end of this game if they even force me to unlock them on my existing characters.
Wait… What’s going on? Specializations are tied to map completion?
Yes, in particular they will be tied to PvE map based skill points, now called hero points.
Kiss your traits goodbye.
i already am, unlocking them one way or another isn’t my idea of fun so new chars are useless until they remove the BS. (and i am an altaholic, making this twice as bad >_< )
IMO if you get kicked by players who just joined the kick should not even count, it should be so that every player that actually took part of the dungeon gain claim rights.
a claim right is something that makes you more and more immune to kicking, the moment the past part needs to be done you can’t be kicked.
however, when you’re not active the last chest has no reward, this will prevent the AFK looting in dungeons.
dungeons should also be done in sections, each section completed increases your claim right.
the higher your claim right, the more votes you need to be kicked.
ones you completed 3 sections your claim right is full, each dungeon has at least 4 sections.
now you might think “but what about players who are already going AFK on section 3 without others noticing it”, a fair question.
each section determines the activity of players, this uses almost the same system DE’s use.
when you’re just fooling around you get in the bronze zone and that doesn’t increase your claim right, silver and gold does. (you don’t really see the medals but the system just keeps track in the background)
maybe i missed something but it might solve part of the problem.
i would say only do the titles that you need, i only have 3 titles maxed yet i have 36 points.
try to fill your minipets, after 50 mini’s you don’t have to look further.
then look at armor, i see you don’t have the vabbi armor yet so save for a full set.
i also see you are able to get oppressor weapons so i assume you have finished WiK, it’s actually easy to get the tokens for the weapons so take your time and kill some white mantels.
type “sorudo wong” if you want the full list that i currently have
what ppl constantly forget is that the wiki was made by players, guides are made by players, dulfy is made with the help of many players.
all of them started the exact same way without any wiki or guide to help them, may it be a simple chest know how or an entire dungeon run.
if ppl choose to play that way let them be, if you can’t even bother answer a simple question you as veteran player then i wonder how corrupt you are.
help them if need be but don’t be a kitten, if you really can’t or don’t want to help then just don’t say anything at all.
rudeness doesn’t help, it scares away players and no matter how you look at it they support Anet just as much as you do.
it would be nice if whispers could be limited to lvl 20+ and an account of at least 2 months old, below that time they can only whisper by response.
it’s harsh but solves so much.
Dont make Dungeons Harder-More builds Viable

i for one hope they are gonna make dungeons easier, last time i did a dungeon (SF) i got killed way to fast. (and unfairly)
i can’t port back on death unless the whole team is ether dead or out of battle (which is extremely annoying), the enemies are way more powerful then the open world and that’s including scaling and the worst part is that you need to know the dungeon like the palm of your hand or you’ll die instantly.
i get that ppl want a challenge but then again, what’s wrong with just wanting to play a dungeon and not having such a huge difference in difficulty.
i can’t stand dungeons simply because they are exclusively made for hard mode players, anyone who doesn’t like hard mode can never play dungeons.
have a normal mode dungeon, one that only gives about 3 tokens throughout the entire dungeon run but has enemies more like open world enemies.
have them scale like open world so on your own it is as easy (or hard) as the open world, some elite enemies can be exchange in to veteran enemies.
again, if you like the dungeon the way it is that’s fine, doesn’t mean there can’t be any easier version of it.
I’ve noticed something hilarious yet depressing. Sometimes when I go on my warrior my ping spikes up dramatically and stays high until I swap characters again. This only happens with my warrior. I’ve tested it tons of times.
Not sure why this is but it’s been going on since around the september feature patch 2014.
how flashy is your warrior, does it have all kinds of effects on it?
female captain america, it’s a “what if” version where mary jane got the super soldier serum.
intel i7 3.4GHz

no performance loss, update your PC…..Yes man, update your potato as fast as possible. Gtx 770 and some i7 3,4ghz probably from second generation lol. Nice museum over there.
You gave yourself a good advice, now to work.
this “museum” piece still outruns most you ppl’s PC’s by a mile, FPS is to me so fast i HAVE to use V-sync or i get tearing all the time.
do i have to mention ivy bridge maybe?
It’s really a small amount of money, or you can farm a couple of days and buy them with gems.
day’s….you do mean months right?……
oh and i dislike paying for HoT, it’s even less then LS2……
i think you misunderstood. nobody cares about texture quality. what people care about is the major performance increase from dx 12.
…seriously, so ppl whine about performance problems when they have an outdated computer…..and they want a higher DX version that in no way does anything good for GW2?
oh and if nobody cares about it, am i nobody then?
No offence, but you have no clue what you’re on about. Taking WoW for example, DX11 is almost a 50% boost over DX9, that’s massive, there’s no other word for it. And early benchmarks are showing a similar boost going from DX11 to DX12, so that should tell you just how huge of an increase going from DX9 to DX12 would be. It would make the game so much more enjoyable. I personally want to live in a world where I can max the game out and not lose half my frame rate during world bosses if I’m using good enough hardware.
intel i7 3.4GHz

no performance loss, update your PC…..
you have quite a big mouth talking like that, my first lvl 80 took me about 8 months, my second took me about 14 months.
better yet, i have plenty of other characters no higher then lvl 45, don’t whine that a week is to long.
oh and it’s not that i am slow, it’s that i don’t have as much time to play 1 game.
14 hours is a day off for me, normally i am glad to have about 3-5 hours time and that’s when i start right after i had a bite.
The simplest solution would be to reveal that someone finally found a way to reverse the Rite. Reversing it could even be part of their PS intro. The Lore currently states that everyone is far more powerful than beings were 250 years ago, so it’s not that big of a stretch to say a solution was found.
But for there to be a solution, there first needs to be a problem. In their stoned state, the dwarves are much stronger and more focused than they normally are. Why would they want to become flesh? Why would anyone want them to become flesh?
what would you do if you can not make more of your race but your race is dying out, would you stubborn stay stone and let your race be annihilated or do you find a way to keep your race alive?
i would love to see them return, the whole reason why i got hyped for GW2 is because of the possibility of a playable dwarven race.
there are so many way’s this can be done, from reversing the rite to a group of renegade dwarf’s to even a whole different offspring of dwarfs.
they should be returned, the whole “but it would be like other MMO’s” excuse is BS.
there are plenty of things in GW2 that are exactly like other MMO’s but you don’t see ppl complain about that, this is no different.
P.S. gimli isn’t the only dwarf in middle earth, there are so many that it’s a waste to name them all.
this isn’t the reason why i want dwarfs in the game but i had to state this, the blind obsession of ppl thinking that way is just dumb.
