Yeah, as others have said, you don’t understand the rule. You can offer services in game for gold. That’s perfectly fine.
What you can’t do is spend real world money to buy game items or gold. The only exception to that rule is the gem store since ANET runs that :p

You basically have 2 options.
1. 1 Druid 4 DPS (power or condi). The DPS should be all melee.
2. 5 DPS. Face tank as much as possible to hold her in the circles and then a lot of range after the stacks are gone

So you killed the same person twice. Are you looking for a congrats? Is it your first two kills ever and are proud? Are you trying to make a point?

The problem is that the PvP community here is really toxic, so there are better options like reading reddit instead or just using their metrics of what are the most played things.
Just the opposite. The WvW community was much more toxic since there wasn’t any communication there for a long time. People had stopped playing the game mode.
If community outreach worked for WvW, it would definitely work for PvP.

The Pip system is more of a grind and luck rather than skills. To seriously develop PvP, the concerned team needs to understand that PvP is not a solo game rather a team game and that is how it should be played. Therefore, you need to remove solo queue. Players who wish to play PvP have to enter in a team of five as premades. You may keep entering in team of two and three but then the matchmaking needs to be that such teams don’t meet a full premade.
Seasons so far have resulted in matching solo players against full teams and there most of the time, the team compositions decides the game even before the start of it. Therefore, establishing the simple rule of players playing PvP have to enter in a team of five will solve all the above problems, because people will form teams and use class combinations accordingly besides, players will team up with players as per their skill sets.
Please think about it and hopefully try implementing the same. You will see that PvP experience for the most of regular PvPers will drastically improve and become enjoyable.
Lastly, please remove PvE loots from PvP or at least from Ranked games. This will help keep PvE players away from destroying Ranked games and improving overall experience for all.

For next week, make the matchups random. That’s the best way to test your server matching system. It would be good to see other servers.
He is really right about one thing. S2 was constant blow out matches. It was horrible. I really hope ANET announces a new system soon before S3.
Also, I agree about the solo queue vs team queue. It is really easy to run to legendary while queuing with someone. I’d really like to see a solo queue only season.

That’s mostly due to the fact that a thief needs to be the most map aware class in the game and more people who play thief can’t do that.
Personally, I’d rather ANET focus on implementing some good matchmaking for ranked. It was horrible in S2. Sure, fixing unranked is good as well, but that should be secondary.

Ironically, I think there are bigger queues in T2 than in T1.
ANET has two options:
1. Find a way to increase the map cap without impacting performance
2. Don’t pair a server if it has queues on its own.

You’re dead wrong on that, as any long term Mesmer can tell you. I remember when a warrior could take me out with two button presses. ( a pommel bash stun > 100 blades = dead Mesmer 98% of the time. ) Not only that, there healing signet would face tank any dps I could output. Necro was a similar matchup. Thieves long considered a Mesmer free lunch. It was quite literally a near certain kill for the thief.
Mesmer was UP for years, so much so that it was acknowledged even here on forum.

No one cares what the class was like 2 years ago. What matters is that mesmer was broken in S1 and S2. It was easy mode. ANET now has nerfed its closest rivals. That means it will be even more broken in S3.

It’s good that ANET is willing to try something new. That said, they really need to use their brains a bit more before implementing a server pair option. Let’s look at an example:
T1 or T2 server has a queue of 120+ on EB the week before the server matchmaking.
ANET logic: Let’s add more people to wait in the queue! That will be fun for everyone
Better logic: People actually want to play the game. Combine a bunch of smaller servers together to get better population balance.
I still can’t believe someone at ANET really thought that longer queues would be fun.
Current “meta” Mesmer functions as a portal/moa bot, not much more. Here are the specifics on the patch:

You can see, nothing substantial changed, especially with regard to the “meta.” OP, hardly.
You really don’t understand that Mesmer was easy mode is S2? It was the most broken class in fact and a requirement for any good team.
Add to the fact that two other top 5 classes, engi and necro got the nerf bat and what do you get? Another OP Mesmer is S3. Mesmer and ele are 1 and 2 for S3 with rev a close 3rd.
It really just proves that the balance team really has no clue what they are doing. It isn’t possible to buff Mesmer right now unless the person doing the balance isn’t living in reality.

Both seasons were bad but for different reasons.
S1 had a completely broken Mesmer and rev. Matchmaking was decent later in the season
S2 didn’t have anything as broken kitten, but condi Mesmer, power rev and ele were very annoying. Matchmaking was worse than S1.

Matches were normally 500-200 in ranked. Similar in unranked. It is bad matches either way.

I can’t name a single guild on TC that could win a fight even numbers with any of the DB or FA guilds. Its sad really you think oh sweet even numbers finally! and the second you wipe them, they return with 2 more TC guilds in tow and just blob you down the rest of the night.

The person who does the pro leagues really needs to work on their communication skills.
They basically plan a beautiful party, order great food, and have fun events planned. The problem is they forgot to send out invitations.

One month should be plenty, anything more than that becomes a grind and divisions get devalued to oblivion. I see more and more “legendaries” that were stuck in the mid tiers for more than a month now. The length is a complete joke compared to the number of games you need to prove your skill level.
You really don’t get the point of seasons. They are not to prove anything. It’s easy to get to legendary using one of the broken specs.
The reason that seasons are in place is to get people to play more. That’s the only measure of success.
I don’t have an issue with the time gate. If I had to get rid of an achievement, I’d pick the wins on 3 different classes one. That wrecks matches because of the rule that doesn’t allow you to drop divisions.
Ele’s are pretty squishy imo especially after all the nerfs they did. Trust me if your whole team hits an ele all at the same time it will die. They are pretty vulnerable to conditions so maybe try a condition build with some stun daze knock back etc.
You consider that balanced? I would certainly hope that any class would die fast if they got 1v5.
The problem with ele is that it is too easy to stay alive in a 1v2 or 1v3 scenario. It has too much sustain.

No, That is an insane amount of work it wont happen (its almost a gaurentee not to).
Your talking about reworked every math value in the expansion, from gear to mobs, to bosses to damage, and so on. You might as well forget that position.
You are confusing the elite specs with everything else that came with HoT. It’s not that hard to nerf a traitline to make it equal to the other traitlines that a class can use.

Mesmer has been the single most broken class for two seasons in a row. It is obvious that Mesmer will get nerfed. No surprise there.
It would be easy enough to move all the camp guards closer to the center, so you’d always have to fight all of them to flip a camp. But to be clear, you guys are arguing that you want to do ‘more PvE’, which seems to go against the forum’s current agenda of ‘less PvE.’
Exactly. Most forum threads, as well as comments in my WvW-only guild, are about how there is too much PvE. That is especially true in the new BL map.
A plea to teammates of the thief: don’t yell “OMG thief why u no decapp nab” when you keep charging far and bring enemy there all the time.

Caed, you’re a great player and all but it would be hard to find a player that disagrees with Azukas’ statement. Maybe it’s because the rest of us aren’t as good as you, but for the general population at large, it is a true statement.
The rest of the thieves don’t have top players to play with. Every time i turned Caed’s stream on all i saw was him camping downstate and his lovely teammates always power rezzing him.
As far as 1v1 goes, given same skill level chances that thief would win 1v1 vs things like scrapper/rev and co. are very low. And even if thief does win 1v1 it just takes too long and is extremely ineffective in real matches.

Camping downstate could be the role of a thief.
Most matches are really unbalanced. Here is how I classify them:
If losing team has at least 400 point: A good game. Probably was random luck
If losing team has 250-400 points: Disappointing, but the matchmaking guy was very focused on foosball in the office instead. Understandable.
If the losing team has <250 points: The matchmaking guy was too busy trying to find his desk at work and didn’t spend any time on finding too matches.
Reworking skyhammer, probably. Maybe spirit watch as well.

Yes, it is WvW where they are looking at a stability change. I haven’t heard anything about PvP.
