Best roaming class will be mesmer.
Most popular will still be thief for a period of time until players adapt to the new meta and go to different classes.

Horrible idea. Basing anything in WvW off what is happening in EotM is a bad idea. EotM is a PvE karma train map so and server loyalty is not required.
In WvW, people enjoy seeing the same players every day. Guild work together. There is a different culture on each server as well in terms of how they play.
The current model is way better.

Necro can have more sustain, but it needs to come at the expense of something. Would necros be willing to reduce some of their death shroud HP for more regen?
Condi is definitely way too strong in this game. What makes it worse is AOE condi. Takes no skill to apply it and still does well.
I wonder how that female on the show can actually pretend to be excited about this new “tournament”. It is the same boring mess as tournament 2, just shorter. Why can’t they see that?
I’m going to be continuing my break from this game after watching the upcoming changes to necromancer from the guild wars 2 twitch thing.
I’m sure some of you will say these are nice perks in the right direction, but they are still underwhelming and not all complimenting what the necromancer actually needs at this time. So I take my money and time elsewhere for a bit, hope in the future this game improves more where it is needed.
As a side note … no never mind, I’ll check back after a few more updates.If you feel like there are necromancer modifications missing in this update that you would have liked to see, please post below and let the developers know how you feel about what has/has not been changed that should have.

No one hates HoD. Your server just got stacked as a result of free transfers before season 2. Those same bandwagon jumpers left afterwards.
I run with multiple guilds…. one for large fights and one for roaming. Your idea doesn’t seem like it would work for me.

I also agree with the person above me. EotM is NOT a WvW map.
EotM is not WvW. Please don’t compare the two. EotM is a PvE map where you can kill people. It is definitely the best place to farm karma or level new alts. Great for a PvE people but a disgrace for WvW people.
As for your ideas and I’ll only comment on them from a WvW perspective (not EotM)
1. Remove loot? No. I want people to actually play the game mode. You’ve basically just killed the incentive for new people to even try it.
2. Yes, but remember that defending is boring for most people. I’d also say that upper tier servers already do a good job of defending.
3. Let’s see how the siege disabler works.
4. Please no. More NPCs is the last thing WvW needs.
I predict a buff to lich form. The balance team does the opposite of what players expect.
Unfortunately, PvP wasn’t included in the feature pack. They did implement new armor and then a standard model feature so that you cannot see that new armor. Odd.
Still hoping for news on leagues, new leaderboards, a new map, or something. Heck, throw us a bone at least and put a bank in heart of the mists.
Question: Why did ANET implement the exact same 6-9-9 structure in NA? It was boring last time. This time it will still be boring, just for a shorter duration. We need more varied matchups. At this point even unbalanced matchups are better than fighting the same servers all the time.
It is fine for hot join. It should just be removed from solo queue. Whenever I am doing solo queue, if I see skyhammer pop, I just leave the game and do something else for awhile.

The sad thing is, everything the OP has said is true, the game is great but the amount the developers care for WvW is sickening.
They do what they can, the only one that can resolve the problem is yourself, you play where you like more.
Wow. Someone who actually thinks ANET has been delivering WvW enhancements this year.
There were no finals. It was just 3 matches and unfortunately none were fun to watch. Sending a team against 2 pug groups was not a good idea.
Automated response was never the problem, but people on the forums weren’t good enough to understand that. What made the decap engi so OP was the water field on healing turret + the blast finishers.
The funny thing is that instead of actually nerfing decap (it still works quite well), our amazing balance team gives engis an even more OP spec with turrets. True, turrets don’t work well against coordinated teams, but hot join, solo queue, and half of team queue don’t have coordinated teams.
Lich is obviously OP. Good new for you. That means ANET will likely buff it.

Good idea, but that’s too much strategy for the people in this game to handle. Heck, most people can’t even react to the same class beating them up 10 times in a row. With changing utilities/skill points, you’ll just end up with a bunch of people complaining.

Guardians still have many underused skills/traits. Those will probably get changes/buffs. Most likely spirit weapons and their traits.

Fear not! ANET will buff spirit weapons. Players have said that they do not enjoy fighting AI, so the balance team will ensure we need to fight more AI.
People were having too much fun playing 8v8 so it had to be removed. If you noticed, everyone in hotjoin was doing 8v8 instead of 5v5. Fun = Bad
This is how I predict the balance changes…. think about the thing you want the least and that’s what happens. It’s how I predicted:
1. Buff to turret engis
2. Buff to PU mesmers
3. Buff to spirit weapons
The only remaining prediction that needs to come true is a buff to Lich form.
ANET still made a really bad decision to stay with the whole 6-9-9 in NA. It is just not fun.

Don’t be too impressed. Our small guild wants to stay in T2 so a transfer at this point is likely. It won’t be to SoS though so I guess it isn’t really bandwagoning as much as abandoning.
Why? T2 is a busted tier. No one can compete with SoS and even if Mag drops, there isn’t another server that can compete with SoS or FA. If you don’t want Mag, it’s better to either go to T1 or T3/T4.
Looking back on it Free Transfers to all servers was better than this system. It had its problems but I will take a Kaineng situation over a general declining population any day.
You need to understand the reason for tournaments from ANET’s perspective. WvW typically doesn’t make ANET much money. Think about it, how many people really buy wxp boosters? The whole point of tournaments is to get as many people as possible to transfer in order to get better rewards. More transfers = more gems = more revenue for ANET.
Play turret engi, it’s auto-win
Actually, this is true. Turret engi is not really effective against teams, but in solo queue it is great. It is also brain dead easy to play.

It took them 10 months to release new commander tags (a change that probably took someone and hour to do). How quickly do you expect to see any major changes?
Many suggested modifications for WvW to reflect its /age. Whatever modification been adopted, Anet is 100% responsible for the decline of WvW just like it is responsible for the success of JQ. Maybe Anet can review the success and failure of JQ vs FA and learn something from it.
In its current design, I will not be participating in season 3 of WvW.
The problem is that ANET doesn’t think that WvW is losing players. Devon Carter, WvW design lead, had an interview at gamescom where he said that people are playing WvW at “steady numbers”.
Unfortunately, he must be looking at EotM numbers in that metric. If so, he fails to realize that people do not go to EotM for WvW. They go there because it is currently the easiest place in the game to karma train or to level new alts.
Anyone who plays WvW knows there is a significant loss of players over the last year.
I think a better solution should be this. It shouldn’t impact queue times that much.
1. A team can have no more than 2 of one profession
2. A team cannot have more than 1 double.
In other words, a team of: ranger, ranger, engi, warrior, guardian is fine
a team of ranger, ranger, ranger, warrior guardian is not fine (violates #1)
a team of ranger, ranger, warrior, warrior, guardian is not fine (violates #2)
Mag is still kicking but FA and SoS are putting the screws to us this week and probably next so not sure how many players will stay through that. If we can drop down a tier, we might see some life return to the maps.

(The duration of the blind was increased btw, only the pulses have greater intervals)
If you think the thief got any type of buff, you are playing a different game.
Joking side, both the number of pulses and duration got nerfed.
With the release of Feature Pack 2 on September 9th, WvW players who reach rank 10,000 will be able to continue earning WXP and rank-up chests.

They can’t make gold any more then 6 servers.. Otherwise you are going to have the most one sided matches ever.
Do you really think anyone in T2 is going to compete with any of the T1 servers? It will just be 4 weeks of them getting wrecked. Again, this is just tournament 2 all over again which was boring.
At least if it was 2 brackets of 12 teams we’d see some new fights. Unbalanced, yes, but that will be the case regardless of how they structure any tournament with the current scoring system.
Its literally the exact same thing as temple. If they add maps i want completely new stuff, not the same stuff with a different texture over it
nononono. Look at the last two “new” things we received, spirit watch and skyhammer. Heck, those maps were so bad that ANET hasn’t even released a new map in over a year.
What ANET hasn’t learned is that simple maps are better. They allow for better balancing. It is quite disappointing that since launch they’ve only been able to release one balanced new map. Something similar to temple is good.

A reset is a great thing and players should be able to reset points as needed.
Be happy if you see any PvP related buffs for ele. The class is in a good spot right now, and will be even better after the next patch with the nerfs to thief. It is a good time to be an ele.
I like the way it is set up now. It adds excitement and more strategy.

Stop trying to impose your game mode on others.
You guys are over-reacting. This build will still kill opponents too slowly. It will remain a WvW roaming class. The closest comparison is P/D thief. They are great for roaming, but are too slow to kill to ever be useful in most PvP matches.
Did they even say that leagues are the same gold, silver, and bronze? From the way the blog post was written, it seems like there will only be two tiers. 1-12 and 13-24. 6 teams doesn’t really make for a swiss style tournament.

Play as a engi. It is the current easiest class to play and does quite well.
Is there really a point to a legendary with the incoming “standard models”?
Last time reset was about a week or so before the season started. I’d imagine it will be the same thing time around.
Endure pain should not allow warriors to contest or capture points. That would be fair.
