1. Population coverage – PvE server does not have to equal WvW server. I’d like to see 24 population balanced servers.
2. Player progression – Make titles account bound. Make rank points a currency that can be spent on any alt
3. New maps – I’d like to see some 2 server maps to keep things exciting. Just please not a gimmicky map (think skyhammer/spirit watch). We need good places to fight.

I get it, S/D isn’t easy mode OP anymore and thieves jump to the next spam build since they were horribly designed to fit in this game, but please… No more kitten perma blind, its not fun to play against, it isn’t interesting its just kittening frustrating… Please? Really, please… I’m so sick of all the thief builds that pop up, just re-design the kitten class already. Thieves hate thieves because they have no defense because of all the cheesy crap they do, everyone else hates thieves because of the cheesy crap they do, just make them a normal class already. Perma/spammy anything is all thieves will be and its just time it goes somewhere else.

In case you are new, here is a tip…. you can hit the enemy with most of your skills while standing outside the circle.
The point is that there are too many AI elements in the game. I’m fine if they exist, as long as the cooldown on them is much greater.
1. Game modes – Conquest is really boring to play and to watch. I want to PvP.
2. Balance – Takes way too long to see balance changes. We’ve been discussing necro and warrior on the forums for a couple of months at least.
3. Solo Queue – Completely broken. Most battles are unbalanced, either in skill or in numbers.

Wouldn’t work, at least in T1. There are 20 circles constantly in fights. Evading one of them won’t do much.
Honestly I don’t think they should ever give Wxp resets. Forces people to actually think and do research and punishes them for being careless.
Which would make sense in a static game. The dev team though releases new mastery skills quite often. In my opinion, it should reset anytime ANET makes a change to any mastery skill.
Please make WvW ranks account wide. I was stupid enough to get the majority of my ranks on my ranger (utterly useless in WvW). I know it is selfish, but I hate feeling like I wasted all that time on a class that the devs obviously think is balanced and doesn’t need any love.
I know this has been discussed over and over and over. I’ll provide my take on it anyway.
1. The rank should be account bound
2. The rank points should be considered a currency similar to karma
3. The rank points can then be spent on any character you want
In this model, the rank you earn is across all characters, but you have to choose which character should receive each point.
It is actually a sad move. Hopefully someone starts using a new forum where people can post as they see fit. I understand that the attacks rang too true for ANET, but this is not the solution.

There are good and bad people at every company. It is not a negative to call out which are which.
This could’ve been very simply avoided by making players pledge allegiance to a realm/faction/kingdom (w/e you want to call it) for WvW and have population control that way while leaving, for PvE, the good old mechanic from GW1 that gave players a very simple drop down allowing them to choose the overflow they wanted to go to for the map they were on.
^^ This. I really like the idea of having 24 servers that people can choose for WvW. Each of the 24 have the same population cap and people can move around as they see fit. The best part of this is that numbers will no longer be the deciding item when it comes to matchups. It will be all about getting a server to coordinate.

So you want to take the class that is probably second weakest right now in PvP and make it even weaker?
I don’t want anyone just trying to heal me. There are no healers in this game and someone traited just for heals aren’t that valuable. I’m much rather have smart uses of water fields and the blast combos.
Warriors were OP in zergs prior to the update. The shout heal buff made it even more so. If you are upset by that, roll a warrior. Balance decisions are not made based on WvW and shout heals aren’t as big of a deal in PvP.

While you are right, I think you are missing one point when it comes to stability. In the past, guardians were the main providers of that. In the new release, engis and mesmers can also provide aoe stability.
While I love the game and a lot of changes that Anet makes to the game, some of these changes really make me cringe. To prevent a few bots/griefers, Anet takes the easy way out by not rewarding tasks like yak escorting and siege building and everything else that falls under category of “defense” and “logistics” of warfare. If zerging is all that Anet likes, take out the towers and keeps, let us zerg it out in open field forever.
It’s like taking a big dump on some of the selfless people, who are like the backbone of any server in WvW, and to do what? To stop a couple of bots or achievement whores? It’s not just about not communicating to us, it is about not making defense and logistics overall as rewarding as zerging is. While honest players are being taken a crap on, griefers and WXP whores are still wasting supply to build siege endlessly.
Siege building and wall repairs are too easy to exploit. It makes sense to remove those categories. Yak escorting is good and should be rewarded more.
It’s kills, and captures; 1 badge spender and 1 repair achievement, and of course all 4 of the kittening jumping puzzles, but not one of these achievements is based on actually claiming, upgrading or defending anything.
The zerg wins again.
A lot of these are good for roamers too. It’s not all about zergs.
As for defending, there should be some achievements for the 10 people who actually enjoy just sitting in towers all day.
Except bloodlust did not do ANYTHING to help with zergs. It just gave roamers something to do. It still does.
You are always going to have people who live by the expression “if you can’t beat them, exploit”. Even big name guilds who think they are good roamers are doing it. That applies to all servers. Overrated.
Are those achievements for real? 255 sentries? 500 guards? But ONLY 450 WvW kills? During seven weeks of fighting? What??? Veteran of PvE in WvW?

Thief is the best class at respawning after getting killed. They should nerf that too so that a thief has to spend 30 seconds dead before respawning.
Joking aside though, thief is one of the bottom two classes in PvP at the moment. Play warrior or necro if you want to be OP.
MAG, TC and SBI are the new Tier 2.
They can all expect beating from each other and a real beating from Tier 1 in Gold league.
SoS will will be Tier 2.5 and really catch it on the chin.
As it stands right now, FA is probably better off in Silver.
Other than RQ(who bandwagonned to JQ) the majority of players and guilds that left FA went to smaller servers, looking for better non-blobby fights.
FA has lost and gain some in the past few weeks. The aggregate numbers are probably about the same…although our coverage has changed.
A lot of us wanted to stay in Gold so we could farm BG, SoR, JQ and TC…but it just wasn’t to be with SoS and SBI gaining glicko due to favorable rng matchups.
No biggies we are fine, and if its red its dead.

FA-SoS-SBI-Mag make up the true Tier 2 class servers and TC is 1.5 (they have the numbers, but not the organization).
This is true. One change though: TC does not have the numbers nor the organization for T1, but are definitely stronger than the other 4 servers you mentioned.
The bigger buff for zergs is the shout heal buff for warriors.
Disagree with the OP. I doubt anyone would play D/P with those changes. You’d just see more D/D.
Also, poison doesn’t fit well with a P/P spec. That’s a power spec. Adding conditions doesn’t really help much.
I’d imagine buffed shout heals + healing signet would be one tanky mother kitten (unless you get poisoned ofc).
You do not play WvW. Shout heal spec was already an OP zerg spec. This will make it ridiculous in a good way. I’m excited.

As far as silver being good for our community, I don’t believe it will be. Most of our transfers came to SBI for better WvW fights and the community. If we are +500 most of the time in silver league, then do you think that they are really gonna be satisfied? Sure, can get some karma quickly, but, it gets pretty boring when you are stomping.
Which is why a league of 4-9 would be better for everyone. You will not be +500 most of the time against TC, SoS, FA, or Mag. It will be good fights all around. DB is really the only wildcard.
The reality is this…. 5-9 would all have a better time fighting each other than 5&6 being in Gold and 7-9 in Silver. 1-3 needs to be by themselves. TC at 4 is a bit of an exception with not really belong in gold or silver. That may change though if the rumors of more bandwagonners leaving them for T1 later this week come true. I like this a lot. This would actually make for a competitive league. 1-6 makes no sense. 4-6 would just be fodder for 1-3. 4-9 would result in a lot of good matchups. If ANET wants balance, this is the way to do it. Let’s hope they have listened.
Nobody really got much of anything. Necros got a few traits changed a little bit and their Minion HP boosted, which while nice, aren’t things that people are really bothered by. This patch was, overall, a bit overrated, IMO.
I’d say one reason for the high expectations is we know they don’t want to make major balance changes during the first WvW season – which means if its not done RIGHT NOW, then no new skill/enhancements/improvements will hit the game until either the mid-December or late-December update if they are still on track for their many, many “We’ll get it out this year” projections.
Frankly, two more months of letting these inequities go on is gonna probably make me skip Season 1 altogether as a player.
Unlikely. ANET has never balanced around WvW. The balances have been for PvP and then WvW just adapts. Perfect example: buffing shout heals on warriors? That’s already super strong in zerg fighting. Now they will make it even better.
If ANET says they won’t release another balancing patch because of the leagues, that is just an excuse to delay.

thats also the reason why their performance in wvw is quite bad. their pet dies in like 2 seconds. i’ve seen a zerg though usingglasscannon rangers nuking everyone from a safe distance.
mesmers have the same problem as their clones barely spawn and the perma blinds , perma interrupts,perma stuns and the condition bombs cripple our class a lot.
anet, i’d be happy to give up some of our dueling abilities, if u give us more aoe based sklls that are mesmer unique like we had in gw1.

engi is great, but very hard to play. otherwise i think he could be way higher up.

We should clarify here: Warriors are OP in zerg fighting. Definitely the best class and has more sustain than guardians.
Warriors are above average in roaming. Not really OP here though.
T1 servers don’t dictate matches, but they do prevent other servers from becoming T1 by leeching talent away from lower tiers. The reason BG and SoR became T1 was becasue servers like HoD, ET, SbI, SoS and IoJ had transfers OUT of T1.
Careful there buddy, T1 servers don’t recruit. They train their own talent, and attract players to their servers with the strength of their community.
Everyone knows that. If you aren’t in T1 yet you must not enjoy communities.

Why do you think T1 servers are the top? The guilds are organized, many people who are in T1 WvW are competitive players.
Never compare server ranking with roamer ranking. You have good roamers on pretty much any tier. In some ways, I think the quality of roamer is better the lower you go since that is their speciality. That doesn’t mean there aren’t amazing roamers in T1.

You missed the point. Tagless commanders are fine. Tagless commanders who don’t communicate with other commanders are the problem.
If ANET wants to move forward with this bad league concept, at least have 2 resets a week. I expect more blow out matches than good ones, and the most competitive days are reset day. This will make the blow out matches end sooner and at least give 2 quality days of WvW a week.
Transfer to BP… the fights the last few weeks have been epic on all fronts. I haven’t seen such good roaming, skirmishing and open field fights in… well… ever. It may just be luck of the draw but it seems T3/T4 have shaped into a place of fantastic fights no matter what style of play you prefer.
Heck my entire small guild which left for a while have all come back and they are loving it.

What’s the point of rank titles if they have nothing to do with actual pvp?
One can just follow 40 man zergs, do pve (hit doors, and ninja keeps) and get super high rank. There’s no skill required, just follow the zerg.
I daily see “bronze legends” and higher, and when caught alone (usually trying to get back to their zerg, like good and loyal raid babies), they melt in seconds. Why is PvE so rewarding in an “open world” pvp area?
Why are you so bitter? Who cares what their rank is? Just play and have fun.
If SoS could get stronger in NA, they would be scary good. Their SEA/Oceanic coverage is beast mode.

Eles are fine. They are not intended to be great at anything. They are intended to be pretty good at everything. They fit their role nicely. The issue is that many of you want a return to the super OP ele of several months ago. That isn’t going to happen.

While you are correct in general, the class isn’t as crazy in solo queue.
In solo queue, there is not a ton of team strategy. Everyone is random. That means a player than can bunker a point is way more valuable than someone who can dps or roam.
So essentially the top 3 solo queue classes are : warrior, guardian, and engi. Spirit ranger used to be on this list, but with the recent nerf, they are not as valuable anymore.
I think the one thing that everyone knows (with maybe the exception of ANET) is that they can’t just run leagues with the existing scoring.
The only way to make this league somewhat exciting is to implement your idea or some other idea. There needs to be a change though.
I also think matchups should only run for half a week, but that’s a conversation for another day.
