Personally I think T2 as it is now is reasonably balanced, but T1 is starting to look more and more out of whack and we all know this means another shift in the rankings is in the making.

SoR looks to be struggling in T1 coverage-wise. If history is anything to go by, momentum is a real thing in the power balance. SoS will likely continue to pick up players whether they like it or not. This could be a good thing if SoS ends up being the server to replace SoR in T1. With some luck, SoR can be competitive in T2 and the top 3 NA tiers might look reasonably balanced (there’ll still be favorites, especially in T2 and 3, but it’s probably better than what we have now).

Golems are like the substitute for skill and brain-using when it comes to taking keeps. Wait till your off-hours population outnumbers the defenders by three times, build 20 omegas and win. Please don’t make pvdoor any easier than it already is.

Of course if the past is anything to go by, Golem mastery will be out by the next patch.

Only the brain-dead still think WvW is any sort of priority for Anet at this point. We’re right down there, and people need to adjust their expectations accordingly.

SBI might get a chance if the RNG rolls high and FA rolls low; but wild swings of a full tier are highly unlikely now.

I’m hoping they tweak the RNG back to allow that. It was too much before. Bottom of T3 should not face top of T1; but as it is now it’s highly unlikely you’ll see TC drop down that much.

Match stagnation will probably weigh down on TC anyhow. They will be facing FA and an uneven rotation of SBI, SoS, and Mag (maybe even YB, we’ll see) well into the forseeable future.

As it is, they rely upon CERN’s 80+ zerg along with their decent EU (do RP’rs tend to be unemployed?) to keep their current position. Either one of those factors declines, and you’ll see a well balanced T2-T3.

Look at who is talking from the poster child of “servers keeping their position from a single time zone”!

Oh CERN actually runs at least 100 at a time so learn to count!

Sounds like a boring change. There are other classes to play if you don’t like having access to a large number of skills. Might I suggest Warrior?

Mentioning your server would be helpful. I’m sure every server has guilds who are willing to take you in.

Our community both WvW and PvE is solid – we are obviously among the biggest and most active servers on the PvE side being the unofficial RP server and all, and our WvW is nothing if not stable and consistent. Most importantly, we do have a few active SG guilds and more fellow Singaporeans to fight with is always a good thing

Not 100% sure what exactly your question means but here goes – we’re definitely not so big that we’ll turn new players away. I don’t think any server is at that stage to be honest, but especially not during our GMT+8 time zones. Good commanders will always be in demand, especially off-hours ones that can rally players.

You have to play with their oceanic prime and against servers below T2 to reliably get the harder map completion points. I think this week is as good as it’s going to get though, so try to get on those times I guess.

SoS’s server profile probably makes it hard for players like OP though. Their oceanic population puts them at a high rating and with servers that outstrip them in other time zones. It’s just how wvw scoring works, sadly.

I think rams are a cheap mechanic that discourage EFFORT. I mean it’s got the DPS of like a hundred people hitting the gate at the same time, and you can buy one for a few silver! It’s like, I’ve been destroying gates with my autoattacks all my life. I was proud when I finally got it down, like I accomplished something. Now you are telling me you can speed it up a hundred times by paying silver? I no longer have faith in the game.

GZ on capping our garri, FA. The circle was not even red. It just insta-capped 2 seconds before we could WP more people in and defend. Bizarre.

Yeah, that was weird… I was inside with my banner ready, the Lord was rezzed by someone else and out of nowhere BOOM, garrison flipped 3 seconds before WP was up. No circle, no warning, just all of sudden flipped. Weird.

Maybe FA would have gotten Garrison anyway, we barely killed their golems and only few of us left inside, but it sucks losing a garrison with glitches like this.

Is this glitch a new thing? I think it also happened on reset night in fabl hills, the thing full capped in about 3 seconds flat. Isn’t there supposed to be a cap on how fast the capture bar can fill?

Oh and during the previous week’s match there was some bug with an ebg tower, the supplies never went down even though people inside were repairing it for about 20 minutes straight. It was probably a graphics glitch because they ran out in the end, but still. Them bugs.

Anet has no idea how to manage incentives in WvW: this is not news.

It’s because the two servers can only swap places, because BG/JQ’s ratings are too high and (whoever is 5th and 6th)’s ratings are too low.

Other than that little kink, pretty much working as intended. The top 3 have balanced themselves around each other and should obviously play each other most of the time. When the difference between tiers is as great as it is, you can’t have both variety and competitive matchups. If variety just means changing the name tags of that horde that tramples over you every week then perhaps that variety isn’t such a good thing at all.

These threads are so amazing. All we get on our side is “you guys can only blob” which got old like a year ago. We still want to fight neo-SBI!

Most of the problems lie with off-hours coverage guilds, and those guilds will be very reluctant to move in general for a variety of reasons (no competition in their tz, low activity in general in their tz, few players that speak their language in new servers). The concentration of those guilds on about 3 servers is what is making T1 servers T1, and is also unlikely to change.

I laugh at these comments….so because exotics is a slight increase to rares, then we can use rares in WvW? why not just use greens? no wait blues work fine?

Of course it is a slight increase in stats…but it is that slight upgrade that keeps you alive in Zerg fights….

You can sya the same thing about food and oil. It is a slight increase so why bother? because 70+ vitality makes a huge difference when you are standing in 100 necro AoEs and ACs firing down on you..

most people are 29-32k hp warriors in zerg fights. is 33k hp going to save your life? if you are down to 1k hp, odds are your backliners are dead and your melee train is slowly dying.

since you brought up zerg fights, meaning you run in the blob, im sure you’ve taken keeps/smc/garri. you have the mats you need anyway.

Not even in the slightest bit was this intended to be condescending – you would have heard me on voice comms telling people to let SoS take a few things if you were playing when we were they bring a good fight.

I legitimately want them to stay in this fight because it’s more fun this way for all servers.

Also yesterday in SoS BL was the silliest time I’ve ever had in WvW period. GODS PvDooring into the keep (you didnt need the golem with 80 people, come on now), staying in the keep without even hiding until we took it back. And then jumping in when the (very large) FA and SoS groups were fighting in hills lords room and stealing the last two ticks to cap it ;P We were laughing SO HARD about it

So wait, you are admitting you can’t take a keep by yourselves and can only leach off of FA or SoS? Good to know.
