Invisible Mushroom Spore in 2 collections?

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

You can get 1 spore daily but it drop for 1 collection only and it seems to be random.
It’s the same for several other collection items.
The best way to finish “quickly” a collection is to open only 1 at the time. It took me 7 shrooms to get the one for my dark harvest.

close to the “drone adventure”.
When the adventure is available you have a “nest”. about 6-7 smokescale with a low spawn CD.
It’s the best “farm” that I have found. And you can get a juvenile smokescale for your ranger at the same time^^.

And yes, the scale drop from smokescale with quite a low rate.

It is a well known bug, and Anet’s working on it, and we’ll get the reward anyway don’t worry.
On my main (necro) with 100% vanilla I had no chest at the end of VB, but with my alt druid that had almost never left LA prior to HoT I got the reward at the end of VB. So I stay optimistic. Also if you want the ascend elite spec weapon you need to complete 1 HoT map so I’m pretty confident rewards will be retroactive.

personnaly I think the only “issue” with adventure is that they aren’t in “instance-mode”.
It is quite frustrating to get those frogs at the shooting range or a dragonfly that just pass in front of you and get hit instead of the target.

And sure some adventure are really hard to get GOLD, but some are very easy and you get it at the first try, wich is even more disapointing to me (try the drone one).

Funny that you find reaper OP. If you find it easier than ranger and chrono you definitely have to learn how to play them.
Druid staff have no real dps and yet I complete VB in less than 2h solo while I had only use it for HP before HoT (I don’t like ranger in any game) And the chrono… those wells and the shield so easy to move alone in the jungle.

It is personnal but it make me laugh so hard that you use as exemples the 2 class that I only play now because of how powerful and fun their elite are.

While I was reading the OP it was clear to me that you don’t know what you’re talking about. you have it easier in reaper only because you don’t “know” the others professions of this game as much as you know the necromancer. Also to be fair, HoT is pretty easy once you spend a couple of days in the new maps, no matter what profession you’re playing.
So please don’t ask for something that is clearly not needed. The whole point of the reaper, and necro in general, is that it scale up with the ennemies number and doesn’t require a team. It still provide no buff for his team, no reflect (CPC is great now but destroy and reflect are very different) and have an average DPS. I really don’t see where the nerf is require, in 1v1 situation the reaper is at best “meh” but is great in 1v5 situation wich happen often in the jungle, not in dungeon where you find yourself begging for LF.

How to nerf Reaper

in Necromancer

Posted by: xadine.7069

xadine.7069

I just read OP and 2-3 other posts.
You must be kiddin’ me. Reaper OP?
in PvP it can be kite and never land 1 hit, in PvE not even close to the best DPS and no group utility, in WvW well I didn’t look at it tbh.
People only complain because it bring necro to the same place to other classes and after a couple of weeks you’ll understand that necro is still on the bottom tier of the game in most of the situations.

in BWE reaper feel strong because of all the flaws in the core spec. Exactly the opposite of why tempest and DH feel so weak. But it is just a l2p situation. Don’t ask for something as stupid as a nerf for a spec that give nothing that you can’t find in any other class of the game.

I don’t see your point here…
You like it casual, ok but a lot of player want something harder so why should YOU have what you want and not those players?
Also everyone will be able to access raids, the only “limit” is that it will be better to be in ascend gear, wich isn’t hard to get btw…
PvP won’t be dramatically impact by HoT, neither WvW and open PvE will only be harder until people understand how the news mobs works.
Also HoT is design to bring “challenging PvE” to GW2, it was said again and again so if you want to keep is “easy” stay on vanilla. And tbh, after the 3 BWE the only difference is mobs have cool mecanics, but they aren’t harder to kill once you figure how to handle them.

It sounds like you don’t like MMOs. I don’t know why you bought one.

The first GW was very friendly to competitive and casual players. There were no time gates (Until they introduced dailies late into the game’s life) or group gates (Henchmen and later heroes allowed you to flesh out a group if you didn’t have enough people/time to wait for others to show up. They weren’t awesome, people were usually better, but they gave you an option when time was a factor) to stymie you when you wanted to play/get something done. I spent countless hours playing GW1, because it allowed for so many meaningful and diverse ways to play. I didn’t feel like I’d wasted my time or was just getting things out of the way before they reset.

I agree, BUT GW1 was NOT an MMO…

I actualy enjoyed getting 100%map, and back when I did it you had to to WvW maps too.
But I also agree after a couple times it’s getting old ^^.
I plan on doing it again with my Rev, but no rush just discover again that amazing world. I think the key world is “no rush” otherwise, I agree 100%map is a bit boring.

PS:
What I find “sad” is that you don’t need to do PvP to get your legendary. I mean PvE is require, WvW too, but no PvP. Imo that’s just sad, I strongly believe you should be “forced” to try a bit of every game mode if you want a legendary item. Or each game mode should have its own legendaries…
FYI: I don’t play PvP a lot, still I think it should be part of the process of making legendaries.

since guild halls are located in the jungle, and that you need to reach them in order to claimthem for your guild, they should be HoT-require.

Raids are suppose to be the most chllenging content of the game, therefore it isn’t an issue at all that it require Ascend armor.

Also ascend armor aren’t hard to get, just time consuming because you can craft 1 item daily, and even if you play a small amount of time you should have it rdy by now.

Btw “require” isn’t acurate, it will be appreciate but good players will be able to do it in exotic.

bwe3 reaper is 99% perfect.

in Necromancer

xadine.7069

It is really awesome.

The Dps I can already see it’s the 2nd highest in PVE, able to spam powerful shroud and powerful GS2 (when below 50%). 4 and 5 works great too.

Shouts all do some nice things, with nice range too!

When I look at 2 underdog classes (Necro and Ranger), I feel sad when Necro gets this huge dps while ranger becomes a pitiful healbots with no boons and dps, and Necro got this AWESOME new shroud while ranger getting this fugly Astral with clunky mechanic and 0 dps, and when I see the shouts radius is 600, do way more things and instant cast, while glyphs range is 300 and all of them are useless, I seriously feel depressed about Druid.

I really hope Robert can work on ranger instead.

Druid is everything I DO NOT WANT TO BE as main ranger. I believe you Necro feels the same too right? You would never accept becoming a pitiful healers too because it’s not the reason you pick Necro to play right?

Interesting, but nope reaper isn’t gonna be the 2nd dps of the game, at least in its current state. Don’t be full be the high numbers, to compare damage you have to compare the DPS because all classes haven’t the same speed on weapons spell.

Shouts are nice now, and yet (in pve) core class spell are more usefull most of the time.

As for the druid it’s the only reason that gonna make me use my ranger tbh. I lvlup a ranger for my wife (I don’t like ranges in MMOs) and I have a lot of fun with druid.
But I agree the druid has broken mechanics: wasn’t able to stack celestial form without staff (bug?), no damage at all, no pet that fit with a healer, no celestial form underwater (soooo disapointing), and absolutely no use out of HoT :s .

But overall people say “reaper is the best elite” only because it bring what necro’s want since GW2 was released. It is not perfect but such an improvement for us that we feel like we can fly now.

PS: reaper heal like a truck. seriously try it and you’ll see (FYI RS4 > 8-9k heal aoe + rez^^), so there was no point on giving a “healer” spec on necro. Even though I understand rangers can be a bit disapointed.

Reaper: Cav, Valk, Knight or Soldier?

in Necromancer

xadine.7069

I run cavalier with 2 pieces of assassin
It’s tanky and hit hard. Not the best dps (zerk or valk have a bit more “power”) but very tanky (valk add more hp but I prefere “armor”).
With a spec spite/reaping/reaper I solo 25 might/vuln if the mob doesn’t melt too quickly (most vet are dead before I can reach 15).

Tbh, I think going for cavalier or valk depend on you “gameplay”. I don’t think zerk is the best option but with the right traits you can have a decent LF regen but you have to not go for “decimate defenses” (but no need if zerk) wich give you extra sustain.

PS: it seems that healer reaper can be pretty good too, I’ll try later ^^.

We have tested about 50% of the first map (Verdant Brink).
The rest of this map and the other 3 maps will only be reveal when HoT will be release.

As for more map add in the futur, we cannot say anything so far. I think Anet will add more later but it is only what I think. But with LS2 Anet added DT and SW wich are “part of maguuma jungle” and I think Anet will keep it that way (i.e. new LS come with 1 or 2 new map). I think that way since they said, during a live, that they have plan 3 elite spec for each class that should be release before the next x-pack (the one after HoT even if it isn’t plan yet) and considering it’ll cost a lot of hero point to unlock elite spec Anet will have to add new map.
But again, it’s just what I think, nothing sure they may come with a lote of new way to do it without new maps^^.

I totally agree, soloing a boss is “meaningless” in a teamplay oriented game and it doesn’t prove anything about how a class behave in a party since you have to change your build. It does allow players to show off but I’m sure there are better players that just don’t see the point of soloing a boss.
Sadly the “flame” about zerk meta and other forum users is imo “too much”. And use the “target-required spell” as a reason to justify the loss of damage is imo the proof the necro’s lacking what other classes have.

Anyway both videos are nice, gj on the solo mossman

Ok, I didn’t read everything but for what I understood, lots of players are unhappy with the druid design.

druid name
Personnaly I find it surprising but not wrong. In GW lore druids where connected to plants indeed. But the celestial lore always was very important in GW too. I agree a bit more “planty” would have been nice, but I really find the celestial form cool.
Ofc those who discover druids with wow are disapointed, but this is gw and this druid desing isn’t wrong when it comes to gw lore.
But I think another name would have better suit this spec indeed, but druid isn’t the only one in that situation^^.

druid gameplay
elite spec are here to give another gameplay to each class so druid is fine. Personnaly it is the first time that I want to play ranger. I have a lvl80 ranger but I have no fun at all playing it and druid might change that. But I have to admit I’m a bit surprised that anet release a healer spec (but ele rev guard can be really good healer too)

The importance of festival events

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: xadine.7069

xadine.7069

Indeed festivals are very important.
And there’s allready several threads about hallowen, wich seems to have a huge impact on GW2 players.

I agree with you that halloween would be great for new players (with ou without HoT) but it would also be good for HoT.
What I mean is, a lot of players (including myself) are looking forward to “rush” HoT, but they also love halloween. So having halloween soon after would give to them a reason “not to rush” HoT because they’ll want to enjoy halloween too. And this way HoT will feel “bigger”. I higly suspect that HoT will be “done” in several days (I was 80%map in 3 days on vanilla at the release :s) and if we “rush” it we will probably feel “empty” quite fast.
I strongly believe it the case with most MMO x-pack tbh, and having a festival close to the release of the x-pack will help to counter that feeling of “that’s it? allready?” that I usualy experiment 3-4 days after the release. It is just a feeling that disapear fast, but that can cause players to leave few days after the release before they realise everything that they missed by rushing it.

Anyway, festivals are good no matter how you think of it, it’s joyfull, it’s fun (usually ^^), seasonnal items are back, more players around, and a side-quest (usually).
My personnal favorite was from GW1, the war between Dwayna and Grenth when come the end of the years. In comparison, the one GW2 isn’t even remotely fun (even though I enjoy it a lot). And I had an insta-love for halloween JP in GW2.

If you concern about HoT being the same price as GW2 vanilla use to be just remember that you play 3 years for only 50$ and in order to keep doing game update Anet have to pay their employe so if we have to pay 50$ from time to time it’s not a big deal.

HoT masteries were’nt available in vanilla for BWE1&2 and I don’t believe you’ll be able to “farm” them.
Some masteries are design for vanila content but we weren’t allow to test them (if I’m not mistaken), those might be “farmable” but I doubt it. I’m pretty sure Anet will find a way to prevent it. Like FotM masterie only up in FotM or something like that.

If you’re worry about “get rdy for the raid 2 after the release”, no need to worry, colin said that there is only 1 raid so far (split in 3 paths), and the first path won’t be available right at the release but few weeks after so players have time to get use to them. Rush everything is the best way to spoil you from the game and Anet certainly don’t want that.

PS: I don’t say it wrong to Rush, it’s just feel wrong to me. The same way I really hope that unlocking Elite spec won’t be just “spam hero point and get it 30s after the release” but something more like a “quest to unlock the spec” first. But I want my reaper so bad, i’m gonna be happy anyway^^

No place for Reapers in raids/dungeons?

in Necromancer

xadine.7069

I have a naive question:
Why a lot of players aren’t ok with blind and slow 100% efficient and are ok with aegis and superspeed being 100% efficient?
Please don’t troll me it is a real question, and I’m aware it would require some necessary limitations to make it viable. If you just want to answer but not on this thread for “reasons” don’t hesitate to PM. The difference of attitude toward buff and debuff has always been weird in this game and is the reason why we have the GWEM meta imo.

Before you start to kill me I’ll explain why I have to ask.

  • Blind / Aegis*
Blind make the target miss the next attack. Aegis make the target block the next attack. You can stack blind, and it’s not that hard to provide tons of Aegis.
From where I stand, the final effect is exactly the same, the next attack will be as hurtful as a fart…
In the current stat Aegis is 100% efficient and blind 10% efficient, therefore a Guard is more usefull than a Necro because he “can’t” miss. And everyone seems fine with that.
I agree it is way easier to stack blind, and I’m not saying you should be able to apply 25 stack of blind to a boss. But why is it normal to totally destroy bling in PvE? Why not use it with something like “only 1 stack of blind can be apply to the boss every XXs” or “1 blind / spell only affect the boss” so the effect isn’t worthless.
  • Slow / superspeed *
Same issue here (well not exactly but close^^)
Ofc condi such as slow (even chill imo) can be very strong against a boss, it is obvious. and yet I don’t understand why players are ok with the idea “kitten this part of the game act like it doesn’t exist”. It would be nice to actualy use them on a fight, just add a rule like “if XXs of slow affect the boss it cannot be slow for XXs” or something like that.
And in another hand it is ok for players to be superfast and therefore able to kite the boss so he doesn’t touch you, or it is not ok to slow its CD but it is ok to shorten yours. What kind of logic is that?

Sorry for “egide” (my game isn’t in english and my native language just seems more attractive sometime ^^)

I don’t understand what you’re trying to say.
Correct me if I’m wrong but you have 2 issues (about LS2 I guess?), 1) content is “too hard” for small guild, 2) rewards aren’t worht the time/effort.

1) content is too hard for small guild:
LS2 is design to be done alone, therefore I don’t understand the link with the amount of members in your guild. I guess it’s not about the numbers but more about how hard it has been to you to find someone to help you?
It’s OK to have a hard time on a mission, and even to die. Not everyone is as efficient as it is needed to soloing the mission. And Anet said that LS2 is suppose to be a challenging content for solo players (or at least achievements).
I’m not arguing about the fact that it is hard or not, it’s up to you, I’m just saying it is plan as a 1 man mission. But since you can give it a try with a party, why not, and even for a small guild it’s not that hard to find some others players imo (especially with the LFG tool).

2) Rewards aren’t worht the time/effort:
On this one I have to disagree. Each episodes were available for quite a long time and therefore you had more time than needed to finish them especially if you just did the “story” and not achievements. Rewards for each episodes “story” were as good as those you get when you finish 1 personnal story (PS) mission. LS2 and PS are based on the same “design”, need almost the same “skill”, and are as rewarding. I don’t see what’s your issue here.
If you’re talking about achievements, well bioluminescent armor is a good looking armor and the only way to get it (full) is to finish all the achievements. With each episode achievement you get ascend stuff (higher gear tier) it seems rewarding enough to me.

TL;DR
english isn’t my native language, and I’m sure it isn’t yours either. But next time can you try to make your post “easier to process” please because I had a hard time trying to understand it and I’m not the only one.
I don’t agree with you at all (if I understood correctly the OP), rewards for each LS2 episode are (almost) equal to the rewards you get for 1 mission of personnal story, wich seems fair to me (same type of content/effort/time/skill). And the rewards you get from achievements are really worth the time it cost (even though I haven’t equipped biolum armore yet, she’s waiting for me in my bank).
If I made a mistake and didn’t understood what OP mean, I’m sorry.

Get kicked from own dungeon

It is indeed such a shame that you get kicked from you own dungeon.
But you can find idiots everywhere. I start a LFG for TA up “all welcome” recentrly and 2 metaboyz join the party and try to kick all other members because they weren’t lvl80… And what was hillarious was that none of them got at east 1k ap (500 and 700) and they allready got that stupid idea that GWEM zerk is the only thing that work.
so we kicked these two morons and finish TA just at 3 with only me as a 80 and we did it, it was a smooth run (well TA up so ofc it’s smooth^^) and we had fun especially after kicking them^^.

Anyway, my point is, you’ll always find idiots, start a “all welcome” lfg and you’re most likely going to finish your dungeon. Don’t mind about idiots and the meta zerk, you’ll always have a way to do a dungeon the way you like to play.

PS: if it happen to you a lot, maybe the problem don’t come from others players.

Is it me or in the last PoI (scrapper) they said that you unlock the “elite spec weapon by unlocking all the elite spec traits”? When they talk about the hammer.
I think I heard him say that, but I find no thread about it so I start wandering.

So Am I crazy (hearing voices) or did I just miss understood because I was talking to my wife at the same time?
