ETA on this audio fix? Next major patch. Stay tuned!
Your friend filed a ticket and will be helped very promptly. No need for a forum thread on this. If he isn’t helped in three days, you may post in the stickied thread above and I’ll review it. I’m sure he will be helped very soon.

I cannot believe the account is gone. Please discuss retrieving YOUR account with Support. Pass-along, resold, or traded accounts are one of the major causes of support tickets. The account into which you invest your time and possibly your gems can be lost at any time. Please get your own account back; I really think support can help you do that. I would strongly suggest you not risk involvement with an account that you will never really own.

Well, that’s certainly frustrating for you, and I’m sorry to hear it! I suggest that you go ahead and contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. (Subject, probably “Billing,” “Payment,” or “Purchase Issue” in the dropdown.)

There are spots where you can jump over the walls. Not sure if it is intended or not, but it’s not always necessary.
ANet has said that these are intentional and clever uses of the terrain by the playerbase.
yeah, it’s fine to jump over stuff. I built the swamp fractal to be a sort of skill test – new people will struggle with it, learn things, get better, and mastery of the fractal becomes a test of knowledge and skill beyond just the combat system. Plus its an opportunity to explore different uses for utilities outside of combat.
I’ve pondered randomizing the locations of the traps, but I think having them placed as they are is more along the lines of my original intent for the fractal.
See (not a grey market)
Make sure the items aren’t in an invisible bag.
Not a bug, also please don’t cross post the same rant in multiple places.
Worry not, adorers of quaggans both large and small (but mostly small). Your plight is soon at an end! Their deep, frequent breathing will be fixed!
I just read what you said in chat, and it disgusts me and every other member of the team. (And I have news: It’s hardly “mild” language.) The word filter did not catch it; having it reported and acted upon was for the betterment of the game.
The filter is not intended to serve as a “License to Swear” (or “Permission to Offend”) for users who choose to use offensive language. It is presented to afford some protection against offensive language, but we still uphold the stated rules regarding chat.
I like this analogy that a player posted a few months ago:
“Cursing in public chat channels is like cursing at an Olive Garden. You’ll get kicked out if someone complains. “Their kids could cover their ears” is not a valid excuse. Guild chat is more like a backyard BBQ. Swear and drink all you like — it’s your party. Threaten someone, though, and that’s still assault. Yes, I know we’re adults and hear plenty of bad things. It wouldn’t hurt to act like one every once in a while."
Show more restraint and all will be well. Err again and you will be suspended for a much longer length of time. Err repeatedly and your account is subject to termination.
Use good judgement — it’s really that simple.

There aren’t any plans to do this right now. There are several issues with doing this—like the NPCs in the home instance changing, the ability to do contradicting story steps, etc. It’s the same reason we don’t have a way to allow a player to replay their story. (Or individual steps, since many allow you to change which steps come next.) Nothing is set in stone, of course, but as of this moment, we don’t have any plans to do this.
Unfortunately, since there hasn’t been an error code with this issue, we haven’t been able to identify what’s causing it yet. Going off of the OP’s response, it sounds like this could be region based, so we’d like to investigate some other possibilities.
If you’re experiencing this issue and are comfortable with doing so, please reply with the region you’re playing from and (if known) your Internet service provider. Thanks!

After the patch on the 26th you’ll have a couple more options to play with to control your rendering perf in WvW. Here’s the blog post describing the new options if you haven’t seen it: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/world-vs-worldthe-end-of-culling/

Hi Xaras – My first guess here would be your PSU. Unfortunately there isn’t really a way for us to test this without being able to physically see your system, but that’s where I’d start.
At the present time, guilds with the most offensive guild names are disbanded. The guild in question contained a crude reference to bodily functions. It was reported and reviewed by multiple people and there really wasn’t any way to allow the guild to remain in the game.
You’re welcome to fire up another guild, but please, when selecting a guild name, choose wisely, keeping in mind the Naming Policy and being sensitive to the vast number of different people playing Guild Wars 2.
In the future we hope to be able to use or offer other options, but that’s our only choice at the present time.
Thank you for understanding.

The development team is sent feedback and suggestion reports from the Community team 5 days a week (sorry – even we need a little time off, haha). They are extremely busy working on the game, but come and answer posts when they can.
Keep the suggestions, feedback, thoughts, ideas, and constructive complaints (
) coming so we have plenty to give them each day.
I must admit that the “in the future” reference is quite disappointing. The last reference was “quite soon” which I was taking as, well, quite soon. It sounds like the feature is back on the back burner. It would seem that this feature should have competed successfully for just about anything out of the 2/26 patch. Oh well.
Nothing is on “the back burner.” I misspoke back when I said “quite soon.” It turns out that such a phrase is too subjective and too difficult to define, and it unfortunately lead people to think there was some sort of implied timeframe in the phrase. I guess people took that to “guarantee” a certain month, date, build — whatever.
Saying “in the future” is more accurate and less likely to cause confusion. That is what I’ve been asked to state, as it is true and does not give as much leeway for misinterpretation as the other comment. Please forgive my misuse of the term in a previous post, and if you wish, you can read my explanation/apology for confusion, which I posted a couple of weeks ago.

Question has been answered, i therefore lock this.
First, welcome to the game.
Second, I’m sorry that one of your friends is having difficulties.
Now, according to my research, the action that was taken on his account was not in relation to a questionable name, but because the purchase raised flags about possible fraud. Please note that this does not mean it was a fraudulent purchase! It simply means that something caused a question to arise, whether it’s the credit card, a difference in the billing data, or something of that sort.
The ticket is in the proper queue and it will be reviewed soon. If for some reason your friend still needs help after three days, feel free to post in the Tickets for Review thread, which is at the top of this Account Support sub-forum. I do not feel it will take that long at all to get this sorted out.
Thanks to you and your friends for supporting our game.

I think the OP got the answers to the questions – also holy cow, a 28 day old thread that got necro’d.
I had a similar problem, except that I cannot remember or find any of my GW1 account info. I have the discs lol, but no manual, and the email account associated is long gone.
I still think the team may be able to help. Have you tried?

I cannot answer the question, but as you know, the use of third-party programs can cause unexpected issues and we’re not in a position to check them to see “Oh, this is ok” or “Uh oh, this one is bad and is causing XYZ problems.” I cannot even say that the third-party program was the reason your account was flagged. I believe others use Overwolf and because it does not intersect with the game code, they do not have problems. But it’s not something we can approve or review.
In the end, we give the benefit of the doubt, but if an account continues to raise flags (usually for botting, cheating, exploiting, or RMT activity) we will not continue to reinstate it but will go with the evidence.

Nothing but problems. Everytime I try to link the account it doesn’t work. It wants an email & password (obviously) but I never once logged into GW 1 with an email I always used username@plaync etc. Last year I wanted to fool around with Aion FTP and when I logged into my ncsoft master account I kept getting notified about merging & so is that the reason I’m having troubles now? I can log into my ncsoft master account no problem, I can log into my GW 1 in game account no problem, I can log into my GW 2 account no problem yet I cannot link the accounts. I have all the information necessary to make it happen yet I’m getting nothing but frustration from trying to do so. Either I’m told the email is not tied to an account or when I try to enter just the username it says I need to enter an email. Really annoying..
Hmmm.. that’s interesting. No worries, we can sort it out if you will contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page.

While there isn’t a means for you to do this yourselves, we’re happy to help you with these changes. Please contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. Once they have verified that you’re the account owner (because after all, some nefarious sorts will try to steal an account with this sort of process), they will be able to assist you.

Awesome, thanks Gaile.
Trying to have as much info lined up and ready “just in case”
Bailey, the game key is included on the email from Anet when you buy directly from them, just don’t erase the emailCopied mine to my password app on my phone – 1Password keeps a backup online so I’m not worried about losing it.
Good plan.

Hey guys – as previously stated, the best way for us to collect information, diagnose, and troubleshoot this issue is by creating a support ticket as the reason for this particular error message can vary.
I suggest that you go ahead and contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. (Subject, probably “Gameplay” in the dropdown.)
I am unsure how this can/would/should be handled, but the agents will review the information you send them (including screenshots, if you have them). Thanks.

Hi Oldboy – Those two don’t sound related, though I would create a support ticket just in case because that’s really curious.
Glad to hear you figured it out!
In the future, we will offer a means for you to change your character name(s) for a cost in gems. At this point, we do not offer this service.
The names are not truly offensive, and would not be actioned, as far as I and my German-speaking associate feel. Therefore, I would recommend that you simply await the Name Change feature and make any alterations you desire at that time.

We do not have a non-receipt problems with the BLTC. What I think has happened is that you have too many mails in your mailbox. If you would remove them all (taking off any desired items, of course), then I believe the delivery mails will “fall into” the box.

Once the GW2 support team sees that the account has been compromised and you accept the terms of restoration, how long does it actually take for them to get it done?
Once the facts are established, most of these matters are resolved within 24 hours. If there is a lot of required investigation, it could be a bit more, but many players have reported an account retrieval and restoration in a matter of just a few hours.

Update: I fixed a possible stall in the “Protect the brew shipment” event, which is currently in testing to go in the March update.
I’m afraid that guesting between EU and Non-EU servers is not possible, as explained here. If you’re a level 80, then I’m sure you have or can gain the wherewithal to make the transfer.
While I know it’s a popular thing to say, “Give us one free transfer” we actually gave virtually unlimited transfers for months after release, even while explaining that transfer eventually would incur a cost. I’m sorry if you missed that opportunity and the remedy is to choose a new world, and if “gem cost” is a factor, to choose one with a lower population.

Hi there Xicoman – Do you happen to have any security software enabled? Generally this will be the cause of the error you’re seeing.
please keep this thread focused on the topic, not about fractals.
For anyone still experiencing this issue I would recommend creating a support ticket. This makes it MUCH easier for us to collect data, troubleshoot, and to further investigate this issue. The sticky thread below should give you some more info on contacting support:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/How-to-Submit-a-Technical-Support-Ticket-2/first#post3957
We’re currently planning on implementing some additional safeguards to help prevent this heart from getting stuck in the March update. Thank you for your patience!

Great job, and with no food buffs either! Next up: Lupicus…. although you may need to get a few levels first.
Just some really good Engi play. Way to kit swap and utilize movement!
Thanks for the feedback, Strifey, but let’s try to keep this thread on topic. We’re well aware of people’s feelings towards the Maw chest and RNG with it, and we are monitoring it closely.
that sounds pretty neat.
There’s a joke somewhere in there about Hunger Games and camouflaging as a rock, but its too early in the morning to try that hard…

Nope, still loitering. I split my time between this and the dungeon forum. I am watching the feedback in this thread though
Mondays and Tuesdays are just busier days for me due to more meetings, and I get reclusive on weekends.
interview and all that sort of stuff has to go through our community team. There’s no way I can personally commit to any of that stuff since it’s a public relations thing.
I try to browse as many threads as I can, and certainly bigger ones more quickly grab my attention, but I’m not a forum mod or something like that – I’m a developer dev – I spend my day building stuff, so I can’t post in every thread or even as many as I’m sure you all would like me to. I do what I can, and I’m sorry it isn’t more.
As for FoTM, there isn’t much I can say about it. Yes we have plans to keep doing stuff for it like new fractals, and more agony resistance will be released in time… aside from that there’s really not much to say. FoTM is in a good place, and ever since we resolved the reconnect issues with it, there hasn’t been many complaints aside from that players can’t get to high scales as easily anymore, which is something we intended in the first place but that players found exploits around.
