Hey everybody, if you notice a post has been necroposted without adding anything to the conversation, please report it instead of replying. Thanks.
You are welcome. Since this is answered, I close the thread.
A durable good is a good that isn’t destroyed on use, Weapon Skins are closer to luxury goods I believe.
No it is not, I quote myself from another thread:
Quick answer to one of the questions I have seen:
You will still be able to salvage weapons you get from dungeon tokens, the change only applies to vendor weapons you could buy with coins.
If you go to the keg brawl and check again, do your achievements update?
You can contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. The team can review the matter. Since most suspensions are just 72 hours, though, and a review will take a bit of time, it’s usually best practice to simply wait out the suspension. However, if you have questions, you’re welcome to write them. Since most suspensions are tied to name violations, you might want to review the Naming Policy before you write in.
For tips on what information to provide in a ticket, please read this post and provide as much as possible to expedite the ticket.

While we weren’t able to fix this issue for the March update, we’re still working on it. Thank you for your patience!
Thank you for the reports, everyone! We’re looking into this issue now.
This sounds like it’s varying for players but it should be a little over 400 MB.
I got the idea that I could replace the backpack it shows up when using an engineer kit for the plush. I was wrong. Now I wasted 300 gems on something I can’t even see!
I want a refund… I needed more claaivoyance before buying it and this post wasn’t much help
We are aware of the bug that equipping engineer kits will cover up your backpack. We are working to resolve this issue. Please contact Customer Support at support.guildwars2.com if you would still like a refund.
Hey everyone,
We’ve temporarily disabled WvW to fix a server crash. More information from Matt Witter can be found here.
In order to solve a crash issue with WvW we have disabled it temporarily. We are working on the fix and hope to have you back on the field in no time!
We are aware of and working on this issue. Thank you for your patience!
Hi BeeBurnt – I’d like to collect a Game Advisor report so I can look into why you might be experiencing this issue. You can download the Game Advisor application at the link below:
http://us.ncsoft.com/gameadvisor/
Please note that you will be automatically prompted to install Game Advisor upon clicking the link. Once you’ve generated the report, you can attach it to this thread by clicking “More posting & formatting options…”
Hi Phenomen – I’m not seeing anything that would explain the crashes that you’re experiencing in the Game Advisor report, and so I’d recommend creating a support ticket for further review of the issue. The sticky thread below should give you some more info on contacting support:
Based on the error code, it sounds like your character is still in the old version of the game. We’re updating it right now, so as soon as you get the new patch, you’ll be able to jump in.
Custom Arenas are still being tested on our development servers and are not included in this months patch.
I posted over in News & Announcements to clarify on the items being turned on early by accident to support the Custom Arenas release:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Custom-Arena-Starter-Kits-Time-Tokens
Many of you may have noticed that today from midnight to 7:30 AM PDT (07:00 GMT – 14:30 GMT) two unfinished items were available for purchase in the Gem Store. The Custom Arena Starter Kit and the Custom Arena Time Token items are two items we are working on for a future release but they are currently only in the testing phase and do not have final art, descriptions, or pricing. Anyone that purchased either of these two items today can contact customer support to get a refund if they wish.
For those of you considering a refund: It’s likely the final price for these items, when they are released, will be very different from today. The Custom Arena Starter Kit will likely be far more expensive than it was and the Custom Arena Time Tokens will likely be cheaper than they were today. There will also possibly be ways of earning these items in game through PvP in the future as well. If you would like to hold on to the items you purchased and wait for their official release to use them, please feel free to do so, these items will work fine when Custom Arenas are added to the game in a future release.
We are sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.

Have you used both the L11 and L60 manuals? You can’t skip the L60 manual, it’s required for the Grandmaster manual to work.
The data won’t be changed for your character itself, we’re simply recording it to our live website starting today and we’ll need around a week or so to get everything stable on the website, prepare for the traffic load, and ensure the data is updating at the proper intervals. The stability is purely website and database related.
The PvP and achievement point leaderboards will initially show 100 players, and then we’ll expand them to show more once launched to ensure the sites stability one chunk at a time.

As we played with the stealth changed mentioned in the SotG, we recognized that in conjunction with the change to culling this was an unpredictable change to make. We also felt that it was too big of a hit to these stealth professions, so we ended up pulling that change in favor of just increasing revealed duration by 1 second.
Hi vanillexhope – You don’t necessarily need the disks if you don’t want them. Since you’ve technically purchased a Guild Wars 2 serial code, you’re essentially paying for the account, and so you can install the client as many times as you wish. You should have the option to install it digitally when you log into your Guild Wars 2 account.

While it isn’t mentioned in the Ranger info area specifically, we also added owner Agony Resistance to pets.
Patch info here:

Discuss!
Hi Kakorot – As what basketcase suggested, the Game Advisor will give us a better idea of your system setup since we’re unable to physically “see” it. As for the symptoms you’ve mentioned, this sounds like either some of your hardware does not meet the minimum requirements or you may not have video card drivers installed.
Hi Velshin – Do you happen to have any security software currently enabled? Generally this is the main cause of the error message that you’re seeing.
Flame and Frost: The Razing has been released, and you may be wondering what to do and how to start. We’ve created a small guide to help keep you on the right track.
“Wait, wait! I don’t want spoilers; just point me in the right direction!”
Fair enough! Here’s a spoiler-free mini-guide to our March 26 Living Story release:
For this update, you’ll meet two new characters, Rox and Braham, and become part of their stories as you help them fight back against the Molten Alliance. Here are a few things about how the content around these characters work:
Rox’s Story
The beginning of Rox’s story occurs in the Black Citadel Command Core.
The second half or Rox’s story occurs at the North Nolan Hatchery. It is located just north of the town of Nolan in Diessa Plateau, just outside the Black Citadel.
Braham’s story
Braham’s story begins in Rytlock Brimstone’s office, near the Command Core.
Part Two takes you to Hoelbrak, specifically Knut Whitebear’s Loft.
The final part of Braham’s story occurs in Cragstead, a village located in Northern Wayfarer Foothills.
Spy vs. Spy
In the open world, both the Molten Alliance and the Order of Whispers are employing covert surveillance tactics in an attempt to get the upper hand.
The Molten Alliance has begun monitoring activities in Wayfarer Foothills, Snowden Drifts, Diessa Plateau, the Plains of Ashford, and Iron Marches.
Meanwhile, Agent Brandubh, an Order of Whispers agent, can be found in the Black Citadel near the refugee camp. His partner has infiltrated the Molten Alliance by working undercover, and has been leaving cryptic communiqués at set locations.

Build 3/26/13 March Content Update Release Notes
LIVING STORY
Flame and Frost: The Razing
A hybrid army erupts through fiery portals in the Shiverpeaks. This “Molten Alliance” between dredge and Flame Legion has created an enemy powerful enough to massacre any who stand in their way. One ranch, one homestead at a time, they’re wiping out all resistance. The razing has begun.
In Flame and Frost: The Razing, the third installment in this four-part series, we meet Braham and Rox, two fervent Tyrians who believe in doing what’s right, even if it means putting themselves in danger. They’re defending the people and places they love, and they’ll need your help.

GUILD WARS 2 USER AGREEMENT
The Guild Wars 2 User Agreement has been updated. As of March 26, 2013, each player is required to accept the amended agreement upon logging in to the game.
The amended content is as follows:
(edited by AidanTaylor.3872)
For the next week, all the medium population servers will be free to transfer to. Might be worth giving one of them a look!
It will show you the shortest path to the story step start, but it doesn’t know which gates you have access to. Zoom out on your map and you can see where the actual story start is located. (The portal marker is just directing you to the next zone.)

Here are FAQs about changing names of various kinds:
I want to change my email address/log-in name:
I want to change my character name
I want to change my display name
More about Display Name Changes
There are very good reasons why we do not offer the changes as a service at this time. It’s important in any game — and especially in an MMO with the high number and visibility of player interactions — to create a “personal history” for an account. I don’t mean your in-game “personal story” but a history of your account as viewed in the game.
If we allow changes of display names, a person who has been harassing another player will be hidden from that victim’s sight. A person who has built up a reputation for cheating, or botting, or doing other breaches of the UA, becomes invisible to those players who were aware of the issue and were awaiting action on the matter. Several other factors of “individual accountability” can be negated by simply hiding behind a new display name.
I take on board things like typos in making a name. But assessing the difference between a change and a correction can be difficult, and at this time, we’re holding firm on the “no changes” policy. There are two reasonable exceptions:
Some of the same arguments about display name changes also applied to character names, but as you know, we made that option available when the feature could be properly developed. At some point we may make a feature available that allows a player to change his/her display name, but if we do, I am confident it will take into consideration all the risks of those changes, and address them effectively.
In the meantime, and with all due respect, we will decline to change display names unless they involve one of the two exceptions cited above.

I’m glad things worked out well for you, Somnium Luna. Thank you for sharing this.
(And I like your name! )
Ok, so I talked about this with the team and in the current day, “fruitcake” just carries a bit too much baggage to be used for a name.
I remember the day when you could say “Nutty as a fruitcake” and everyone would know you meant the person was just a bit bizarre. Like, “My aunt is nuttier than a fruit, she saves pancakes in the attic.” However, today, “fruitcake” just isn’t a good name to use.
I’m sorry that you’re upset, and we did talk about this extensively, but renaming is the way to go. Checking the ticket, it appears you were given access to a free rename for each character that was flagged, and the suspension was lifted. I do believe that your use was not intended in an offensive way, and hope you’ll understand that we’re aiming for a solid common ground with the Naming Policy.
I like the ideas that players have suggested: A gem card is a very nice gift. Alternately, you can purchase gems, convert to gold, and transfer to your friend.
The word is offensive. I’m sorry that you disagree, or cite common use. However, , but the word and it’s definition are not appropriate for our game.
Want a neutral definition? Dictionary.com states that it is Yiddish in origin, refers to a body part not generally named in common conversation, and actually uses the word “vulgar” in its definition.
We will not reinstate the name.
Thanks for waiting, everyone! We have a potential fix for this issue in the March update.

We have a potential fix for the bug with Illusionary Leap in the March update.
As for the third point brought up by the OP, some of you have surmised that this is a pathing issue with NPCs, and you’re correct; unfortunately, this is a limitation of our system and one that we do not have plans to change at this time.
Since this is part of the game’s design, the bug forum is not the appropriate place to discuss it. If you have further suggestions or comments on this skill, feel free to continue this discussion in the Mesmer profession forum or the Suggestions forum. If this issue is not fixed with the next build, please create a new thread to report the issue.
Thank you for your understanding! This thread will now be closed.
Trade restrictions were added as part of a program to reduce cheating and RMT transactions, which in turn reduces in-game advertising spam, account thefts, and gold sales.
These restrictions prevent someone from transferring gold in an account that exceeds what the account holder has earned. So if your wife earns 10 gold, she will be able to transfer 10 gold to you. After a brief period of time, the restrictions will lift and she will be able to transfer the entire amount back to you.
We do not life the restrictions upon request, because every RMT in the world will be requesting that action in order to use newly-created accounts (created with fraudulent credit cards) to deliver gold to their customers.

Sent an email to customer support asking if I could get my achievements reset, this is what I wrote,
Hi, I don’t know if your the right people to ask but I was wondering if you could help me. I bought Guild Wars 2 and had a quick go, but have been away with work. Without my knowledge my nephew had been playing on my account while I was away and he has unlocked a lot of the achievements and also I’m not getting the hint pop ups which I could really do with.
I was so looking forward to this game and I feel that part of the fun has gone without the achievements to unlock. I was just wondering if there was anyway to reset my account so it would be as if the game had never been played. There are no purchases or anything so I would not be loosing anything. This might seem trivial but to me I feel like I am missing out on the full experience.
If you can help me it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance for you help.
This was the response I recieved,
Thank you for contacting NCsoft Account Support.
I have reset the Guild Wars 2 account password and an automatically generated email containing a link has been sent to your email address. After clicking the link in the email, you will be directed to the Guild Wars 2 Account Management page to enter your Guild Wars 2 account name and set your new password.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
If they can’t help with resetting my achievements that’s fine, but they should at least read the email properly, I have spent the last 2 hours trying to think of a password that it would except, in the end I have just had use random letters and numbers, that I will never remember.
Just please READ emails not just send a generic response.
The team is made up of human beings, and occasionally we all make errors. I cannot look into this issue because you did not provide your 12-digit incident or ticket number. But I don’t need to get involved, really. If you still need help or still have a question, please update your ticket to explain that you have an additional question that was not answered in a previous response.
As a short answer, though, Support is not able to reset achievements.
There are some known issues that may have played a part with what is happening today (Monday, March 25). Here’s the official statement about this:
One of our payment system providers is experiencing intermittent outages that may prevent some purchases from completing successfully. If you currently are attempting to make a purchase and are having difficulties, you may wish to try an alternate payment method such as PayPal to complete your purchase. If you continue to experience issues, please do not attempt your purchase repeatedly but await our “all clear” and try again at that time. We apologize for this inconvenience and will update you as soon as the issue is resolved.
