It would help developers parse through the hundreds of threads of posts worth of feedback if people would use descriptive, concise thread titles. Thread titles consisting of half sentences (i.e. “I think that…”) or titles that are too vague (i.e. “Skills”) are really not helpful. Those sorts of titles give no indication of what a thread is about, so most readers will simply skip them.

As this has probably been buried deep by know, I would like to quote Izzy again. I put aspects of his post that touch on the actual discussion in bold:

I know there have been some concerns about Guild Bounties being in the Art of War line. Our goal with this system is to give guilds activities and long-term progression that they can accomplish by working together as a guild. These missions are meant to be difficult and challenging to not only unlock, but to accomplish.

We would also like to make every guild upgrade line valuable to every guild. Currently, Art of War is very focused on PvP and WvW, but our plan is to continue to add more guild upgrades in the Art of War line to accomplish this. These Guild Missions are the first step. Along with this system, we also added a number of new guild upgrades that guilds can earn.

In the end, our goal for all of this content is to give guilds new goals and challenges to accomplished once they have researched deeply into each line, as well as require guilds to have researched multiple lines to unlock some upgrades. We expect guild members to have to work together as a guild to earn the influence needed to unlock these new missions, as well as overcome the challenge of the missions themselves.

You should have received an in-game mail directing you to the areas which you need to explore: Wayfarer Foothills and Diessa Plateau.

You should see a refugee camp in Lion’s Arch, near the Farshore Waypoint. By speaking to the refugees, you will discover that they’ve lost some items on their journey to Lion’s Arch. You can help them out by finding these lost items. Initially, you will see two refugees. When further phases of the event unlock, and the refugee area in Lion’s Arch grows in size, you will find new people to talk to who may also be missing items.

You will find the lost items in areas where the new Living Story events are spawning in the world, usually near the invader portals or invader vehicles. Note: in the event of a new build or server restart, the locations for the lost items may change.

It also looks like the OP no longer feels this strongly about this:

I over reacted, we’ve been running CoF P1 so much everyone had extra gold and dumped it into influence.

2g for 1000 (60g for the upgrade) Influence is pretty cheap.

My thoughts is, if this is content made for large zerg groups, chances are talented groups will prob be able to accomplish them with half the people. No one should be freaking out.

Elementalist

  • Renewing Stamina: This trait now has a 5-second cooldown between activations and has a 100% chance to activate, increased from 33%.
  • Soothing Disruption: Vigor and regeneration boons granted by activating cantrips have been reduced from 10 seconds to 6 seconds.
  • Zephyr’s Boon: Fixed a bug that caused Shocking Aura to apply double the boons of other auras.

Engineer

  • Deployable Turrets: This trait now works for all turret abilities in PvE. Also fixed a bug that caused engineers to have an incorrect tool belt skill when this trait is active.

We’ve found what has been causing this. Once we’re able to push a full client build this should be fixed. Until then please avoid attempting to start bounty hunts. The UI has been disabled to prevent crashing, so you won’t actually be able to complete the mission.

The mobs in Howling King fight really aren’t much of a problem either. If you pull them into the flame circles that appear on the ground they die almost instantly.

They should die instantly. That is the power of the flame scepters! Hodgins sure is useful isn’t he?

My guild leader posted a topic on this issue about an hour ago, but the topic got locked after a CSR misunderstood the issue. I’m reiterating the issue here to provide more clarity.

After the patch today, many of our guild members logged on with the hopes of running a guild mission tonight. Our guild had close to 300,000 influence banked just for these missions, and we quickly spent 30,000 to unlock Guild Bounties. With the research time clocking in at 3 days, we went ahead and spent 75,000 influence 3 times to increase the research time. Once we realized that the bounty would still not complete tonight, our guild leader cancelled the bounty to save the influence spent on the boosts, and requeued the bounty unlock. Here is the crucial part – we were not refunded the boost influence when we cancelled.

We understood the cost of purchasing the research boost, but there was no way for us to know we would not be refunded for cancelling them. Many other guild research items refund you fully when you cancel them. Even the Guild Bounty unlock itself is refunded when it is cancelled. These (very expensive) research boosts however were not.

I have included a screenshot to show how other guild items were refunded when cancelled, yet we lost 225,000 influence to this anomaly. 225k is not a trivial amount. All we are asking that we be refunded for the influence we lost because of this.

I did not misunderstand the OP at all. Your guild spent influence and then decided to cancel the purchased boosts. You are suggesting that we add a warning that the influence will be lost if research progress is cancelled and you request that we refund your spent influence.

So this has changed a bit from “We didn’t know how much it cost” to “We thought it would finish up today” and “We were not warned that a cancellation results in loss of influence” but I do understand what you both have written. Please note that I merged the threads because the forum team would prefer to not have multiple threads on the same or a continuing subject.

At this point, we do not have the capacity or the policy to refund the spent influence. I will look into this with an eye to possible in-game messaging. Please do not make another thread on this subject; however, you may submit a ticket if you wish.

So correct me if i am wrong please…

You have to have the target currently active as a mission to get the new fancy guild rewards. You’ll know if it’s active if the bounty’s name and picture is displayed in the new missions tab under “Guild Bounty”. If you’re not involved with the guild who activated the mission, or do not have the mission active in your own guild, you will receive normal event rewards (in the case of bounties). Other mission types such as puzzles and rushes have chests at the end for anyone who participated.

Does the person have to represent to get the reward, or just be a part of it?

Pretty sure you have to represent at the time the event completes at least.

Once a mission is “unlocked” is a one time trigger or can it be triggered multiple times later for “other” members?

The unlocks are for the mission “consumables”. You build much in the same way other consumables are built (like banners). These are relatively cheap; 100 influence for tier. You must use one each time you want to activate a mission.

Good news: after further investigation on this issue, it sounds like this should be fixed.

What should happen is that hitting the wall once will give you stealth, but hitting it multiple times should take your stealth away. If this is not how it’s working, then please let us know.

I think this was needed but kitten there’s got to be better ways to fix a boss than just number tweaking.

There is, but it takes time and resources that we allocated to Catacombs to work on those bosses.
I have ideas for Simin… like the one as follows if we keep the stealth mechanic and don’t change her much:
When she stealths, players have X seconds to get the 5 sparks to their slots around the statue. If she gets knocked out of stealth before that, she regains no health. If players fail the mechanic, she heals to full. The cooldown on the skill can be adjusted based on failure/success, and other things like a PBAOE petrification can be used to punish players for not suceeding with the mechanic. Just spitballing here, but yeah, there’s more than can be done. Just didn’t have the time to tinker with it.

Good news we have the log in information but the account was used to sell gold and stuff so now we have to sort this out XD, one problem after another.

I am sure that you will be helped and this will all be sorted out for you. Remember that the account(s) may be eligible for restoration, so be sure to ask about that when discussing the matter with Support.

I hope it gets sorted soon, just seen negative things about the speed of the support responding. Just want my friend to get his account back.

Support is resolving these issues in under 24 hours, in many cases. Given the level of research that is needed, that’s really fast turnaround. We had some periods where response times were long, but that’s not the case these days.

The guild bank remains on the old world, if you transfer back you can get those items. Even if you transferred your entire guild. The only time the guild bank goes poof is if you delete your guild.

Alternatively you can invite someone on that server that you deem trustworthy give them bank access and have them mail the contents of the guild vault to you.

Very help info, Draygo, and it sounds as if you know what you’re talking about.

If you participated in the event to take the bounty down, you will immediately receive your personal reward for guild bounties for that week and your guild will receive completion credit for that target.

This makes it sound like any player participating will get 50 silver, the rare drops and a personal guild commendation, but only the guild that kicked the event off will receive a guild merit, correct?

No, you have have to be in the guild with a mission active. Sorry for the confusion, I wrote the whole thing from the perspective of someone who is trying to run a mission.

Daily Tracker - Still Collapses

The patch note on this was confusing. The Daily Tracker still collapses when other events and such pop up on the right side of the screen.

The way the feature works is that if the tracker auto-collapses it will auto-expand the next time you make progress in an achievement. Clicking to collapse will turn off the auto-expand behavior.

It also doesn’t disappear from the screen when it’s completed.

Achievements that are marked as favorites in the hero panel do not disappear from the list when completed. You can click on any achievement to open the hero panel to the selected achievement and uncheck the tracking box to clear it from the list.

Server transfer - bank transfer?

Yeah, your bank items stay because your bank is account wide so all charcters can access same one. I did the same thing to go from one server to another, deleted my one character and got to new server an created new charcter then checked bank an all my stuff was still in it. Only time you would lose stuff is if you were transfering a guild from one server to another then that guild bank goes poof an everything in it as well.

One note: I think the guild bank remains on the old world, and is there if the guild transfers back at some point in the future. I stand to be corrected if I’m mistaken, but that’s my understanding. Anyone know more about this for certain?

UPDATE: I’m going to track down the answer to that question.

And thanks to you guys for posting the info on the world transfer and its impact (or non-impact) on the account bank.

You realize when you are mousing over the speed up, it tells you how much influence it needs? It’s very clear how much it will cost and how much it will upgrade it by.

We have a hotfix coming for the issue where players aren’t able to revive at waypoints in the new Spirit Watch map. In the meantime we’ve temporarily disabled it for Hot Join and Tournament play.

By offering a variety of content, we can have a game that lots of people can enjoy. There’s a lot of content out there, but there’s not a whole lot of things for a coordinated group to do larger than 5 people to do. Guild missions were made to remedy that.

You have to understand for Claw it was a long healing process. I’m sure the others will soon come to grips with their own problems in time.
