The gem store sometimes displays problems for some users but these are cleared after a few hours. Please, check it later on whether it is possible or not for you to buy gems; if it is not, please, do not hesitate to file a ticket with Customer Support.

You can certainly file a ticket to Customer Support; it is always useful to have records of this kind of situations. On the other hand, do not build your hopes up, as Loli Ruri mentions, as you need to wait for a week in order to make a new server jump.

You’re about 8.5 hours too early.

The holiday content awards you with gift boxes that contain these things.

They’re not resource nodes. They’re finite and pretty random at that. Also there’s much better ways to get them. Is it really causing that much of a problem?

You only need 12 achievements to get the title. You can pick from any of the 14 new achievements in the special event category and the two monthly achievements. We did this so that if there’s a particular type of content that you’re just really not interested in, you can probably skip that one thing and still get the title.

Just a quick update, I went through everything and only found these two instances of alarming level range disparity. We should be able to get these fixed shortly, but until then you can simply avoid the area (or get an epic zerg together to take it down and post the video so I can see it).

Also, just for clarification, the spawn levels should, in fact, be based on the location they’re at and not the player that opened the box.

I’d be interested to know where you saw the upleveled skritt in Metrica province. I’ve found the other two locations.

I’m honestly very confused about how this can still be a fix-in-progress situation. Your team evidently found time to create an event from start to (presumably) finish, and in over a month they still haven’t figured out how to modify this dungeon to use the same system which others use?

That was actually a separate team that did our Wintersday content. Our team’s programmers are working on the DC issue. A majority of the fixes that went into this patch are content design related (things I can do), and require no programmer time. We have dedicated programmers working hard on the problem.

I believe after implies that the non ascended rings will indeed drop on scale 24, and that they will not drop on further scales past 24.

The monthly tab ended up getting two of them. They count toward the meta achievement, which is actually not part of that 16.

When you open gift boxes (that come from playing holiday content) you randomly get one of those vendor items, or the currency that you can use at the vendor.

Sorry, I realize that wasn’t clear. You WILL get one of those weapons out of that box.

They have small chance to come out of gift boxes. The primary usage will be revealed with the new content. Again, you should be able to get plenty without relying on drops or the trading post. They do have a secondary use, and that’s what these drops are for.

EDIT: Also, gift boxes come from playing activities, opening mysterious gifts in the open world, and random world drops.

It’s a random shot at any of the weapon skins that you can buy from that vendor.

You’ll be able to get more than enough of this material participating in Tixx’s Infinarium instances, the first of which will be available 12 hours from now, in the Grove.

The skritt should be level-appropriate to the region. I’m investigating this issue right now. They will disappear if you leave them alone for awhile.

True..but did you notice all of the other stuff that he has? Most of the gift boxes contain a random chance for one of those things. Worst case, you open a bunch and have enough to purchase one outright.

Giant present boxes.

The items found in the gifts are a bit random. Giant gifts are awarded to level 60-80 players and should contain somewhat level appropriate gifts.

Exchange your ugly wool socks/hats/sweaters for better gifts at the gift exchange merchant in LA.

The dropping presents are in every single map (except Orr) and they will continue throughout the entire holiday. Keep your eyes open for peppermint candy icons on the map.

Yes, if you’re in a dungeon/story step, you’re isolated from other players so it’s lot less risky. We also recognize that the content is a lot bigger time sink, so we try to avoid kicking them out.

That’s exactly what we’re doing. The patch is today, the Wintersday event starts tomorrow. We wanted time to catch any emergencies that might pop up tonight.

We also use a fairly low time limit so that we don’t get players in different builds playing at the same time, which can cause all kinds of problems.

You’re more bound to find those things based on the player’s fractal level.
