Hey. Checking in here. Same error as of 1 minute ago. Tried running as admin but doesn’t work. This has never happened to me before – quite strange. Any ideas of when it’ll be fixed?

currently, CORE ranger is considered an auto included in all raid content, as well as druid support classes.

simultaneously, revenant, in all iterations, is currently the least desired class – regardless of whether its power or heal.

i just did deimos with 6 rangers. yes, our condition build got nerfed slightly. our heal build is still the most sustainable, and likely far easier to pilot than ventari rev.
but my two mains are ranger and revenant and i can certainly tell you that revs are in no way threatening rangers positions in any pve content.

Every other exclusive effect is still exclusive though, your comment doesn’t make sense. Warrior banners are exclusive. Ranger’s spotter, spirits and gotl is still exclusive. Engi got a new exclusive effect. Rev has assassin’s presence. Thief gets partywide unblockable attacks via basiliks venom. etc etc

Yes… I would expect that utilities and traits are exclusive. Status effects with many sources aside from only a single trait or a single utility skill have never remained exclusive.

alacrity isnt the chronomancers class mechanic though, continuum split is. alacrity is a buff that, until now, was previously only available to mesmers. similarly to how aegis used to be available to guardian only.

Looking for a guild with like minded people who play around the same time as me, doing fractals, raids, weekly missions, etc.
I’ve played since beta and consider myself to be a veteran player!

Dragon hunters arent considered meta because they aren’t competitive, they are just gimmicky. they are a no-skill class that provides maximum reward for minimum effort in low tier pvp.

Sorry, ‘stop crying’? I was just investigating the possibility of actual balance. Do you just trawl the forums looking for opportunities to right fight and be divisive?

I’m currently trying to get into Revenant. I’m really enjoying the class in PvE, but as someone who has played every class in PvP since the release of the game, I have never felt so handicapped as I do when playing a Revenant.

How do we actually, meaningfully, survive the current meta? Staff 4 & Cleansing Channel just don’t seem like they’re really enough, especially against venom share thieves, necros, mesmers, warriors, engineers…and when most teams your face have at-least 2 (often 5) of these condi heavy builds, what are we actually meant to do?

I’ll admit I’m still very new to Revenant in PvP, but I’ve never taken this long to get a hold of a classes most efficient way to deal with conditions… Revenant just doesn’t seem to have anything.

Advice? How do we survive this condi abuse meta?

Hey guys, just wondering when conditions are getting fixed? I haven’t heard anything on the topic but I can only assume that anet is working tirelessly to address the amount of condition abuse going on in PvP at the moment.
Has anyone heard anything? Hopefully it’s at the next quarterly update at the latest!

Unless they’re fine with how conditions are, in which case when should we expect an overhaul of condition resistance and removal traits/skills on classes currently lacking any meaningful way to survive condi comps? Like, as an example, the Revenant?

Your problem is that you expected it to be a none RNG method like some people expected it to be a cheaper, faster, or merely a method that can be done solo.

Nope it’s there just to drain all of your mats the Bifirost needed like 40 spiritwood planks or something I think. Well those are daily CD items that can’t be used to craft legendary armor and any future items. Like the Damask Patch to drain leather from the economy this is just mats and to get you to stay on longer because the mats you don’t have you’ll be on for hours farming them or draining gold buying them.

The whole point was that it was supposed to be a non-rng way of crafting it.

If grinding away is your idea of meaningful gameplay, then fine. It’s not to me, and it’s not to a lot of people. Which is why they made Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 with a “no grind” philosophy. Which frustrates me that they keep adding meta-events with rewards that require you to grind those meta-events. It wouldn’t be a problem if it were a map or two out of 5 or 6 maps. But it’s every map. 3 of 3 maps. A disappointingly small amount of maps, all of which are grindy in nature.

I don’t have fun grinding meta-events. I have stopped playing, but I do love and enjoy Guild Wars 2 in its core. Hence my thread giving my opinion and criticism of the content provided.

none of my weapons are appearing in this collection. i know this was an issue from launch but i havent heard people talking about it much lately so i figured it was fixed, but when i went to check, nope. still broken for me.

I believe it’s either for your specialization weapon, or the order backpiece you get as part of the story. Though I could be wrong.

If you pay attention to the dialogue leading up to the fight you’ll find out that the boss you encounter is actually a physical manifestation of Mordremoths mind within the dream.
Many people are arguing that the MASSIVE world boss you fight in Dragons Stand is his main body, but as his mind can outlive that body (something something jungle) he just grows new “mouths”.

i thought the rata novans were around 50 years prior to GW1, as they were trading/dealing with the exalted at that time. that’s why the exalted in the personal story doesn’t know that rata novus has fallen (which would have happened after GW1 i assume) and assumes Taimi is a novan.

I assumed that the timeline was basically rata novans dealing with exalted > exalted go to bed > some years pass > novus falls > some years pass > exalted awake > where muh asura?

This is my only serious complaint about HoT to date. The Silverwastes was bad enough with mobs offering no loot – now event mobs don’t even give experience. Don’t offer charges of ‘on kill’ sigils. Don’t increase the stack of my killstreak boosters. Oh, and when i get sick of mindlessly killing things for no reward, The event greys out and i don’t get anything for my time sunk.

This makes events feel like a trap you have to avoid falling into, and that is simply terrible design.

i think this may be a player skill issue. i got through all the content as a zerk dragonhunter with relative ease, and that was whilst progressing through the DH traitline so it was essentially half a build.

what stats do you have to suggest that a large number of players will join the game if mounts become available?

Good point. The new specs were immediately available during the betas. Suddenly locking them behind hard grindwalls on release was a huge bait-and-switch.

Between that and the pricing bait-and-switch, I don’t know if I can trust ArenaNet with anything anymore.

apart from the fact that they had always been stating that the elite specs were something that was going to need earning.
the elite specs were available in the betas for testin-…wait, you are aware that the betas weren’t just demos for you to see what you’d be doing exactly when the game came out, right? you’re aware that you were testing the content? that’s also why we tested raids. do you think the fact that raids weren’t available day 1 was a bait and switch because we got to beta test them?

entire party in FotM just started receiving insane lag from the depths of hell. is this part of the same issue? anet pls talk to us

It shouldn’t be a challenge is the thing. It’s not elite only a name. It’s a new way to play. 400 HP for ONE traitline and 5 skills. There really is no reason it should cost more then any other traitline or skills

There’s plenty of reason. It’s an elite specialization, not a core specialization. It completely changes class mechanics. It should be earned.

Unfortunately there’s currently a bug in the story step.
On the fourth set of Rox’s tracks, after discovering them by proximity, you cannot interact with the tracks (or rock or whatever it is).

You can see it and it gives you the option to touch it but the green star does not appear above it. According to map chat this is happening to everyone.

You may need to hotfix this immediately.

Increase the experience gain from events in the HoT maps significantly.

I mean 4-5 times the amount we currently get for completing the event.

The current amount would have been fine if it wasn’t for the fact that many story quests are gated behind high level masteries.

There is already a trigger/prompt to put you in the prologue so I don’t see how that can’t just be placed there permanently??? It’s been 12 hours anet. Fix this.

I’m not sure if you asked this or someone else did, but anyway, the patch didn’t fix it, though the notes said nothing about it so I guess false hopes, I think you asked about trying to change to a different story? Well I tried quitting and did a quick Living Story Instance and came back, still bugged…sigh I know you guys are doing your best to fix this…but I really don’t understand why you “need” to go through this story instance in the first place, if we were just allowed into the jungle straight away without having to go through it this wouldn’t be nearly as big a problem…I am really trying to stay patient and civil, and I know you guys are doing your best, but by grenth I would hope that a game-breaking bug like this would be fixed much faster…It’s driving me insane that there is so much content that most other players can play, and I can’t even though I waited for just as long as they did

Stuck on first story step with no way to re-enter instance.

Update: I teleported to friend in verdant brink, however as I’m unable to progress in story past prologue I can NOT activate or use any masteries.

Perhaps anet can address their players/customers concerns regarding this.

That’s a good idea specialk. It doesn’t do anything to fix the story progress though, which for me personally is a huge deal.

My primary interest is story content. My other concern is also the limited time I have to participate in this content before the internet becomes rife with spoilers.

This is unbearable.
Please fix this! It’s the first instance of your expansion and it is rife with errors and issues.
A portion of your players are unable to play the content. Please fix this immediately. This needs to be your priority. I will not stop bumping this post until it gets fixed (since I clearly can’t play the content).

You need to fix this right now please. 3 hours unable to play the content that everyone else is enjoying. Please fix this right now.

New build available. Hopefully this issue has been resolved, as players being unable to actually play should be the priority right now.
