New artwork that i did, not sure if it will be the last. Engi and Necro.
I’ve been cycling through the recent gw2 set of wallpapers, trying to find something which stuck with me. Not to knock the Anet artists in any way, but that engi image of yours has solved all my problems .
The rifle was the only skin which originally did not have another exotic sharing its skin. It’s been like that since launch. So when Anet did their passes and moved what were the precursor skins to the perfected skins, there simply was no other exotic which maintained the old precursor (now perfected) skins.
It’s a five-year old oddity. Maybe some time in the future it’ll get a look, but there are plenty of other oddities with the skins that have been around for just as long, and others which are even more highly requested . Cough, cough, cough.
Future solution coming. Not sure if it will be retroactively put into the core game. At least your pains will be eased in PoF.
It sounds like you heard that demo characters, those which players could make during the Heart of Thorns demo or the Path of Fire demo could select from a bunch of stat sets and try out all weapon types for their class. These events were done on temporary characters, and are different from the Level-80 Boost experience which you have.
You’ll actually get to keep those items that you’re given, and keep any further (and hopefully more useful) items that you find while exploring that map.

Get into LFG and get into Escort group. It’s easier then some HoT meta-events, and doesn’t take much skill or knowledge to pull. Hell, when I went for those masteries, I did it on power reaper. POWER REAPER. You can do it. And yes, it was for free.
Going to keep this advice echoed: Do the escort.
To put this into context, I’ve tried 3 other bosses, and after many agonizing hours at each, took down 2 of them. Most failures could be traced back to me just struggling. Raids and the skill required to do them are not for me. But when I went to the escort it was a dream. I was absolutely shocked when I saw people saying, “Thanks!” and “Farewell!” while I was looking around for the big boss to fight. Sure, there was a guy at the end, but even he melted.
Swing into the aerodrome, ask if any groups are willing to let you tag along to unlock the masteries, and I’m sure you’ll find a group .
Can you get the armors with one char and the pets with other and still getting all the points as you got them with one character?
HoM rewards are account based, so multiple characters can work towards the rewards. You can talk to Kimmes The Historian in your HoM to see what an individual character has donated, or what an entire account has earned.
That would be pretty cool. Do enough events/dailies and get enough scraps of Mastery to combine to get one Mastery point for that area.
I’d like that.
It’s definitely intriguing. I wonder how many MPs would be appropriate to give this way. Three? Perhaps four? Though I guess it would depend on the total number of mastery points required in the expansion, as that total might then be padded to compensate for ones from the events.
I know some friends who would love to get MPs this way.
What if instead of a weapon swap, which may confuse people as their weapons won’t swap, they added an F5 skill which swaps the attunements?

FYI those with alt accounts can gift the free one to your main. I strongly recommend that (unless you play both accounts 4realz).
More Eastern MMO-style boxes with random stuff! <shakes head>
You get one box free and can choose to never spend on them. I’m not sure why you’d be against this.
I never said I was against them being free, I deplore the addition of yet another gamble box in the gemstore. Eastern MMOs are completely full of gambling which apparently is what GW2 is going for since we’re also getting even more gambling in-game with UnID Gear.
Instead of thinking up more gimmicks, I’d prefer more Story or maybe even ARMOR! (Yes, I know these are different developers, but money spent on one is money not spent on the other.)
But money earned by selling one is money that can be spent creating the other . Development sans money is a sad prospect.
I haven’t done this in ages, but after reading Talk:Monumental Tapestry:
- Look in your bags for a stack of 4 of them. The icon can be seen on this page.
- If they’re not there, you can buy them off of other players. Head to a busy town and see who may be selling some. Or, run another character through to HoM to get another.
- Unlock the monuments by interacting with the pedestals in your HoM with the items in your inventory. Further details can be found on the wiki page.
Hope you find out where they’re hiding, and good luck
WvW has a built-in mechanic to give you hero points, e.g. Notarized Scroll of Maguuma Heroics. PvE does not. PvE would require building in such a mechanic for what would only be 3 days of demoing.
My money is on Anet providing demo characters with enough of the PoF equivalent items to unlock their elite spec.
They give enough hero points to players to fully do HoT specs if they own HoT.
Giving enough to have PoF specs unlocked as well is not out of the question in a demo, if they are using hero points to unlock specs this time. I’ve heard rumors of it being tied to doing side quests.
Oh? I hadn’t noticed. I thought we had base level 80 characters, so enough natural HP for all core skills and traits. Last ditch guess might be that they wanted one more week to clean up the elites? shrug…
I am planning on sitting in a few private PvP arenas, so I don’t have to go fighting people to test things out. I’m sure that there will be a supply of such places next weekend. Hope you get some peace and quite to play around, and don’t forget that there are “PvE” areas in WvW, like the skritt and centaurs you can go up against .

Temp work around: Click on the edit button for the “Faction Provisioners” subsection (i.e. not the edit button at the top of the page). Without changing anything, click on “Show preview” below the edit window. That should try to populate everything for that moment.
Note, I’m not an expert on the interaction of templates with the API, so I won’t be able to diagnose why that’s happening.
Edit: One more option may be to do a full refresh of your browser window. For Chrome it’s Ctrl + Shift + R.

Mounts were never going to happen until the community pushed for it hard enough.
Two false assumptions there. You’re assuming that Anet had crossed off mounts from GW2 because Anet thought <insert your unstated reason for Anet to cross them off>. You then assume that it was community pressure that made them change their minds. Here’s a clip which adds more details on that decision: https://youtu.be/cZBW9eGriD8?t=123
It’s because we can’t recolor them. They simply don’t fit the armors if they have different colors and as a result nobody’s buying them judging by your backpack discounts spam lately.
And yes, I’m aware that it would need some work to teach your old game engine to recolor backpacks, but the point is, until that work is done, very few people bother to buy them. It’s that simple.
So yeah, the choice is yours a-net, either make them worth buying or enjoy low sales.
Its not a clearance sale because nobody is buying them. That is only neccessary, if your unsold stock takes up too much storage, which isnt the case because they dont take up any.
Discounts do mean alot however, they have no reason to make discounts on hot-selling products. Yet almost all backpacks (excluding wings) get them.
I fear you’ve missed the pattern of Anet sales for the past month or two. Quite a few items go on sale for a few days prior to them leaving the store.
For instance, on July 14th, we were told the Glittering Wings Backpack was leaving the store in seven days. On July 19th it went on sale for 20% off. Then promptly left on the 21st. Other items like Lyssa’s Regalia are currently doing the same. It’s one last chance to sell to the customer before the items are shelved.
More examples on the link below, if you’d like.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Incarnazeus/Gem_Store_Watch
Perhaps this is referring to the ambient dialogue about a girl and a dog? If that’s the case, then it is just ambient noise where Anet is trying to make your home instance feel more alive.
To my knowledge, there is no other story line or event concerning a girl and a dog. Though now I expect to be proven wrong .
Yes, I’m glad you bumped it; this thread is the only reliable source for matching up the numbers.
I am still baffled that ANet chose not to use Dulfy’s (admittedly arbitrary) numbering system. I am more baffled that Dulfy hasn’t bothered to update her guide. Worst of all, the wiki community seems uninterested in posting the match up numbers on the relevant articles.
I also agree that bumping this from time to time can end up helping a lot of people who may not have seen this thread before.
As for why the wiki isn’t showing the table, there are a few of reasons (none of which are fully satisfactory).
First, we do rely on our sources to update their own materials. For instance, when Anet changes the localization names for items, we’ll update our interwiki links to the new names, and rely on the other language wikis to do the appropriate moving of articles (with a friendly prompt, as needed).
Second, and related, if Dulfy updates their page, it would then be incumbent upon the wiki to be aware of this and update the wiki pages, something we just won’t have the ability to track.
Third, clutter. Trying to show multiple tables on pages sucks. Adding more information to tables sucks. Referencing numbers which may or may not be relevant to readers has a tendency to distract and confuse rather than inform. It’s not a fun balancing act, nor one that I’m a good judge of. Here’s an extreme case.
All this being said, I have a solution. Toss that image up onto the wiki, and link to it in each of the talk pages:
(edited by Greener.6204)
While not technically a bug, the text on some items need to be updated and care needs to be taken so that future items don’t have this issue.
Two recent items (possibly more) found in Black Lion Chests have misleading descriptions which cause confusion for players. The Elemental Sword and Sworn Zaishen Helm Skin are both obtained via containers which are themselves contained in the Black Lion Chests. This two step process is awkward by itself, but is even more troublesome given the description of the containers, shown here, here, and below:
- Double-click to apply this look to any other sword. This will also unlock this skin for your wardrobe.
- Double-click to apply this appearance to your current helm. This will unlock the skin in your wardrobe.
Normally, when an account bound skin is obtained, the wardrobe skins are automatically unlocked. In these two cases, the player receives what appears to be the consumable skins (as per their descriptions), but the skins don’t unlock. If the player tries to right click the item, no unlocking nor application options are listed (given that they’re secretly containers). This disconnect leads to confusion, as can be seen in this anomaly note.
Solutions:
Say there were evidence provided of let’s say 10 different players, who had screenshot and/or recorded evidence of their rating vs. rating histories, over the course of 60 to 80 ranked matches.
What if player 1 and player 2 had proof that 60% to 70% of their matches were favorable in terms of being on the higher rated team vs. a lower rated team.
What if players 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 had proof of estimates of 50% to 50%.
what if players 8, 9, 10 had proof of being on the lower rated side 70% of the time. What would you say then? When it was in front of your face?
Would you call it simply luck for those 60 to 80 games?
Would you still call it luck after 3 seasons and 500+ games when the same
players are getting the same types of rhythms?I want to hear actual answers on this.
I may form the project myself.
So you want to get answers about a situation that you have no proof exists?
You’ve got a couple choices: Either a) present the evidence that any of the above is true, or b) go gather the evidence and then present it. I’m guessing you can’t do the first option, so starting on the second now would be prudent.
Sounds like a great idea. I can’t imagine what the disadvantages might be, other than surprising a player with their game minimizing, and the Wiki page opening. The Devs might put one of those warnings in that says the game will minimize; I’m not sure how difficult that would be.
Good luck.
You may have to be careful if you put a confirmation prompt for the minimizing. Currently, the only prompt on that list is the Destroy option. I don’t want to think I clicked “Wiki page” —> “Yes” out of habit, when in reality I clicked “Destroy” --> “Yes”.
Fertile Soil Orchids no longer per character?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Greener.6204
Someone posted a similar statement about changes to the orchids on the wiki. Intended or not, at least you’re not alone .
When I try to login and submit a ticket on the GW2 website I get redirected to the support knowledgebase and apparently logged out again. Anyone else having this? I can’t support a ticket if loggin in to their website wont work.
I just tried, and I did have to log in to the website a second time, but that was enough for me to start the ticket process.
- I first logged in to these forums
- Opened https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/requests/new in another tab
- Clicked “Sign In”, which reloaded the page and had Greener.6204 in the top-right of the page
- Was able to select a ticket descriptor from the drop-down menu
I have noticed that Chrome sometimes logs me out of the forums if I close all my previous tabs. I’m sure that’s due to a setting I have somewhere.
Final note: Are you able to double click the “Legendary Crafting” in the picture you posted and move the check mark to it? It’s a shot in the dark, but just checking to see if that helps.

Some skins don’t show by default in the bank, unless you’ve unlocked them. The Lava Skull and anniversary backpacks are among those.
This is correct. For example, you can see that the Lava Skull Backpack has the flag “HideIfLocked”. If you’d like to get to a skin’s API page in the future, there is now a link to it on the corresponding wiki page.
Anet has an enormous catalogue of items which need to be cycled through. If everything stayed up all the time then it would be difficult for items to catch the buyers’ eyes. New items would be drowned out, and older items would become stale.
To make sure that sales are maintained and its customers are presented with an updated catalogue, Anet constantly moves things in and out of the store. They even give count-down timers up to seven days in advance for when items are leaving.
Here is a listing of items which are scheduled to leave soon, though you can get the same information in-game: User:Incarnazeus/Gem Store Watch
If you’d like to see the turnover Anet needs to do with their catalogue to keep their listings bearable for their customers:
PS: If anyone is interested in helping the wiki track which items are on sale and at what price, please leave a message on this talk page.
PPS: Here’s the full back-catalogue of items. Imagine having to wade through all that to find something special.

You may do it for every character that has completed Hearts and Minds, the last chapter of HoT. You will receive an ascended weapon each time.
If you were just looking for the skins, you can change the ascended weapon your DH got back into a Regrown Caladbolg to then choose a different version.

Actually: thank you
You’re the one that noticed the discrepancy, did the math, and took the time to post about it. You did the heavy lifting.
That bears repeating. Thank you for all the above.
make 2 versions of the game or something , one as it is now and one with tab targeting that copies GW1 combat.
GW1 had one of the best (maybe the best combat) in mmo history along with Lineage 2 (games that you could play for hours) yet they decided to make GW2 different.simplicity wins over complexity because mmos are not action games,
action games and those new mmos that wanna be action games are designed to spend players resources and energy and stresses you out while it had to be a relaxing yet challanging at times experience.thats mmo games today simple things become complicated with skill point spam and everything even worst in newer games like black desert but GW2 also falls in that category.
just remove the dodge and copy GW1 combat instead of just focusing on making new expansions and let people pick which version of they wanna play.
dont even anyone say anything about your skills , skilled players where a thing before action combat plagued the games
Sometimes I wonder just what the OP is thinking when they make suggestions of this sort. Do they actually think that the Devs are going to close down making new content and expansions in this game for the years needed to make a second version with oldstyle combat?
Not only would this game come to a halt while they make a second version, they would then need to advertise and sell it and have a second dev team working on the new one making duplicate content, bug fixes and balancing. And does the OP actually think there are hordes of people who want to pay out $60 – $100 to buy a second version of guild wars 2 with old style combat? If oldstyle gw combat was that great they’d be pouring into the original game and playing it.
gw1 combat was great but they wanted to do something new besides you dont miss anything by making suggestions
No you don’t miss anything by making suggestions but some suggestions can be ruled out before they’re even made by thinking about them for a bit first. In particular, the person making a suggestion should consider how likely it is in terms of cost, time, effort and disruption to the game.
1) will it cost millions to make a second version of the game with old style combat?
- yes. The whole game would need to be redone. Not only the combat but the balance, just for starters. And then they’d need to hire more people to maintain the game so there’s that reoccurring cost that needs to be accounted for.2) would it take years to do?
- yes, again the whole combat would need to be redone, including the npcs and mobs in the game for balance if nothing else.3) would this version be able to go ahead with its regular content and expansions.
- no. The millions needed would either have to come out of the budget for this game (just like Gw1 stopped getting new expansions when they started gw2) or they’d have to borrow heavily to pay for making a new version. The costs (money, time, new Devs) of which would still impact this game as the Devs attempt to keep this game going while working on a brand new game.3) would this new game recoup the costs?
- highly unlikely. A second gw2 would need to be heavily advertised ($$$$) and its advertisements and any money gained would compete with the advertisements and income of this game, which means that it would hurt the income for this game.So yes, suggestions can be made but some suggestions fall into the realm of unrealistic fantasy.
thats ok too at least i send a message that the game is very action oriented for an mmo
in their future works they might have that in mind also.
if you never say anything you never achieve anything.
While you think that’s the message you’re sending, it’s not. What you’re OP should have said was what you just wrote, “the game is very action oriented for an mmo” followed up with examples. Instead what you wrote was, “just remove the dodge and copy GW1 combat instead of just focusing on making new expansions and let people pick which version of they wanna play.”
The first is a sensible statement which people can discuss and Anet can consider. The second is simply inane and not worth anyone’s time; it impedes discussion and people overlook your actual intent. Choose your words better if you want people to take your ideas seriously.
You do not need it. Deleting it is okay. Once acquired, it was checked off your collection list, Envoy Armor I: Experimental Armor.
Remarkably, Infused Living Crystal was one of the collection items which actually says it’s okay to delete .
They could have, but is there a need to do so? I don’t see how they’re “left in the dirt.” Is there something special about level 500?
By keeping the new cooking recipes and feasts at 400, they allowed players to only have one barrier between them and crafting the item (i.e. getting the recipe). Players don’t have to spend time/resources on leveling up their chef.
As for ascended trinkets, they’ve been used as general rewards across the game. Played some fractals? Here are some trinkets. Played PvP and WvW? There are trinkets in reward chests. Explored the new LS3 maps? You can buy trinkets. Logged in? Here are some laurels you can use to buy trinkets. Why do we need jewelers able to craft ascended trinkets and undermine these rewards? They’re already getting saturated in the game.
Here’s one guide that I’m currently using for three of my characters (while learning just how expensive viper’s can be for my ranger).
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Tanetris/So_You_Want_To_Gear_a_Character
How would ArenaNet cost these so they can create enough profit AND development money for the team to design the legendary weapon system?
- This is a simple answer, pack sales. Just like you sold the weapon skins inside the 2,000 gem packs, sell only these in high-cost packs.
Here are the release dates for those 2000 gem packs with the Immortal Weapon Choice:
- Crystal Arbiter Appearance Pack – Nov. 2015
- Bandit Sniper Appearance Pack – Nov. 2015
- Winter Solstice Appearance Pack – Dec. 2015
- Ironclad Appearance Pack – Mar. 2016
- White Mantle Appearance Pack – Jun. 2016
It has been nearly a year since we last saw Anet release one of those packs. If this were a successful model, you would have seen more of them.
This only adds to my point – the more ultra rare skins we get, the less likely we are to invest into the gemstore, hence why something unique must be in them.
How many players in your guild(s) would buy these packs if they contained completely new animations or auras that weren’t obtainable from anywhere else? I know in my guilds they would.
That wasn’t the issue. The packs had a large problem of selling a bundle of items of which many players only wanted one or two, and were therefore unwilling to buy the full set. In order to make the sales, Anet had to change its sales strategy and sell the items independently.
For example, the Bandit Sniper Appearance Pack was first sold in November 2015 with two unique items: the Soul River Glider and the Bandit Sniper’s Outfit. These were later sold separately in August 2016 and October 2016 respectively, just months after Anet stopped producing those packs.
What are you proposing Anet would bundle with your animation item which would (a) incentivize people to buy the pack and not anger them by making the bonuses too special (b) not cost even more development resources as you need most of the 2000 gems to cover the animation costs, and ( c) make it worth bundling in the first place instead of just selling the animations directly for what it would cost to make?
How would ArenaNet cost these so they can create enough profit AND development money for the team to design the legendary weapon system?

There are two different recipes requiring different ingredients:
Gambling for 1 Mystic Clover:
1 Obsidian Shard
1 Mystic Coin
1 Glob of Ectoplasm
6 Philosopher’s Stones
Gambling for 10 Mystic Clovers:
10 Obsidian Shard
10 Mystic Coins
10 Globs of Ectoplasm
10 Mystic Crystals
Different ingredients are needed so that the game can find the proper recipe and not take any more of your Ectos etc. than you wanted it to.
IF this idea is implemented, it would make gw2 more interesting to play because of build diversity. The current system is not efficient…
Those two ideas are counter to each other. Allowing players to have a more efficient build will reduce the number of builds to choose from. Right now, players have to specialize and make sacrifices. If more skills are allowed on the bar, then less decisions need to be made on what to take, and diversity drops.
Monthly rewards to bring traffic to HoT maps
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Greener.6204
They do have one inducement to play HoT maps y’all haven’t mentioned. For those that have the various home instance chests that need keys to open, they’ll need to go back and play those maps to get more keys or leave those chests sitting in the home instance unopenable. (They do have a device that gives one key a day but if you have multiple chests then it isn’t enough for all of them).
You know, I just hit that point again where only one character is holding a full set of keys, yet I’m too lazy to port him all the way back to a home instance. Of course, being the irrational gamer that I am, I bemoan the unopened chest in my home instance, and that is motivation to head to HoT this weekend.
I have a fairly high success rate when I stand just inside the leading edge of the circle.
Monthly rewards to bring traffic to HoT maps
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Greener.6204
Daily rewards aren’t enough motivation. I typically do the 3 easiest ones and then do something more profitable.
You’re basically doing what the rewards are intended for already. You turned the game on, then you got yourself actively playing a small portion of the game which led you to playing a different portion. Monthly rewards cannot give that quick reinforcement which gets people signing in and playing.
Were you unable to purchase the Unbound Magic Gatherer?
Unless/until the policy is changed (it was instituted due to player feedback), Armor sets will be available from in-game content, and Outfits from the Gem Store (with a very few exceptions).
Good luck.
Yes and how many full armor sets have they released since they got that feedback?
Since outfits were released:
- Ardent Glorious armor
- Glorious Hero’s armor
- Triumphant armor
- Triumphant Hero’s armor
- Carapace armor
- Luminescent armor
- Bladed armor
- Leystone armor
- Mistward armor
- Experimental Envoy armor
- Refined Envoy armor
- Perfected Envoy armor
Of course, you only asked for full armour sets. I have no desire to grab and link the plethora of partial sets and one-offs. Hope this helps.
To quote from the release page:
For all of our existing precursors, this is a tradable exotic weapon, but they will all be updated to use new skins that look much like the legendary weapons they’ll one day become. We like to think of these new precursor skins as the legendary weapon before it is embodied by its soul. Unlocking one of these new skins in your wardrobe will also unlock the two previous tiers of skins. So, should you get lucky and find a precursor out in the world, you won’t miss out on the skins.
So if you acquire and account-bind The Hunter you will unlock:
- The Hunter skin
- Perfected Rifle skin (what you’re probably looking for)
- The Hunter Experiment skin

I would gladly pay for an entire expansion if all it added to the game was dyeable channels for weapons and backpacks, and allowed us to apply glow/particle effects to armor/weapons and back pieces. Also visible jewelry, trinkets, and amulets on characters would be amazing.
what kinds of updates/content do you want to see?
That would involve going back to every weapon currently in the game, then: redesigning the colouring on each of them; programming how and where each would dye; designing how each would be affected by the glow/particles currently in the game; and each new effect would have to be reapplied to every weapon each time. And of course they’d have to rebuild the code to work with all of this new information; figure out how to efficiently pass it on over limited bandwidth; and optimize it all for low-spec computers like mine.
Active WvW players were informed via in-game mail that there were polls occurring.
What a relief :-)) I’m glad I found Collin’s statement, because that means your interpretation is false too.
In the end: MC is a crafting material. Treat them as any other crafting material. Let them drop from the open World. As the other materials.
You still haven’t produced any need for them to do so. You can play how you want, trade what you get for MCs. You’re done; no need for a change to the system.
… making Mystic Coins cheaper would merely shift cost to another part of the item.
Also: Cheaper MC —> More legendaries crafted --> More high tier mats consumed —> Higher prices in other markets.
— means more money in the pockets of the poor who can sell a variety of different items not just coins to fund their gaming needs
No, it doesn’t. The rate of MC and other material gathering is the same across groups of players, rich or poor. The money that people get from the TP is equal to what players put into the TP (ignoring the tax). So a player spending 500g on a project will have that 500g spread across those materials regardless of the individual material prices.
E.g. If the Buyer spends 100g on MC, and 400g on other mats, then the sellers get 500g. If the Buyer spends 50g on MC and 450g on other mats, then the sellers get 500g.
In fact, having MC at a higher price ensures that all sellers, regardless of their farming habits, have a good portion of the profit. It rewards people for just logging in.
Your missing the point
Plus your example doesn’t counter anything I’ve statedMC is not a currency it is a mat and a basic mat at that akin to maybe corn or steel in the real world. It’s pretty basic that when a core resource like that is inflated it stifles all the products up the line. In this case it’s legendaries and it’s been stated numerous times that the other mats used I. The later stages of production are all dropping in part because fewer are. Ring made. It’s been said since the first legends were introduced that clovers are your first task. That first task has been made slower and thus requires more MC. Coupled with that the over all cost has gone up for MC and at this late stage of the game it only makes sense that the vast majority of legendary crafters alreadyvown one and your crafting additionals because they can. These multicrafters are the easiest to deter and the driving for of this games economy. So yeah gold for gold like you said but that gold is spreading farther and the sellers are getting paid less.
When you get right down to it this is a game and there are many things preventing it from being a normal economy. The MC situation is a straight up bubble on an item way to low on the production line that’s effecting the entire market. Raising the price is suicidal for the market the value of the other goods will only increase. If the items created weren’t account bound the damage caused by this obvious bubble would be more apparent but for now it’s pretty obvious a freely given gated mat should never be a focal point of the economy like MC are right now. Anet knows this and it’s the reason why laurels are a currency and they’ve tried to deflate the toxic MC bubble by tossing MC coins out with dailies and with the legendary anomoly.. Denuing MC is in a bad spot or in a bubble is just going up against the fact that Anet has tried to take action already it’s just been to small and the MC bubble has grown while the other mats used in crafting continue to stockpile and drop in price.
Please stop making claims without backing them up. Just because you think it’s true doesn’t mean it is true, and unfounded arguments are simply annoying to wade through.
“MC is not a currency it is a mat and a basic mat at that akin to maybe corn or steel in the real world.” – Proof? MCs are used for high level crafting. I don’t see how they can parallel to basic necessities.
“The MC situation is a straight up bubble” – Proof? If this were true, then all you need to do is wait for it to burst, and the price will come crashing down. Might want to sell your MCs now if that’s your belief.
“freely given gated mat should never be a focal point of the economy like MC are right now” – Proof? While MCs, like all mats, have an effect on the economy, I do not see how they are a focal point. Their uses are limited.
The rest of your words back up my statement: MC prices have a tendency to inversely push on other markets. If you’d like, you can see MC production as a brake on the markets: If too many are produced, then too many high level weapons are made, so prices of other mats go up, putting production of regular items like armour out of the reach of poorer players (the people you seem to be concerned about).

Changing this to remain open while your character is in motion would be more ideal. Since the window isn’t bound to an NPC.
I believe you spawn an invisible NPC/object which you interact with. Same thing for the Mystic Forge Conduit. I have never used Tarrktun Personal Delivery Portal, so I don’t know what makes it different.
