Dhuum’s Soul Reaper as a staff skin: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Dhuum%27s_Soul_Reaper
I see, it’s probably the Daylight Savings time messing the conversions up… how handy these things are.
I don’t understand… it said it had to start at 11:30 a.m. UTC-7 and I’m looking at world fuses right now, UTC -7 11:39 a.m. and I can’t create a beta character.
The original GW1 version had wings, why remove them? No wings, no buy.
And that day I’ll be departing from home for vacations. <_<
Unless all of my finishers were unlimited, I personally wouldn’t use this.
I’ve been waiting for a long hairstyle with a fringe for Norn female and now finally it’s here. Not exactly what I suggested some time ago, but I can say I’m pretty satisfied.

I’m experiencing heavy lag peaks as well.

I’m willing to bet any real swordsman will have objection to you using a katana with only one hand and no offhand. I know you have a stylized idea in your head about ninjas, I’m just saying it’s not realistic. :P
I’m no sword or martial arts expert but I’m pretty sure there are accounts of one-handed uses for Katanas or other swords of that nature (I have no idea what any of the names are – Katana’s just a term that everyone who follows pop culture can still understand).
Getting down to nitpicking the dynamics of names applies to a narrow margin of people that, realistically, most of us don’t give two kittens about.
Yes, indeed there are several one handed swords that were used in feudal Japan. It’s just that nowadays in western culture “katana” has become the general term to refer to any type of japanese sword.
However, the classic two-handed sword wielded by samurai was called Tachi, later on replaced by the Uchigatana. While the most common one-handed types included Wakizashi (the auxialiary sword or “finisher” of a samurai) and Ninjato (the straight bladed variant shortsword used by ninjas) among others.

No such thing as free skins. You either pay with money or time.
Dont touch the combat that is the best part about this game the thing they need to touch is the balance of skills no the combat.Combat is incredibly fluid and responsive and non other mmo or rpg or mmorpg have combat as good as this 1.
Indeed. When I tried out FFXIV:ARR I was impressed by how slow the combat system seemed compared to GW2’s.
I am using some of FFXIV’s tracks myself for battle: Beneath Bloodied Banners, Nail of the Heavens and In the Shadow of the Colossus.
Oh, so I’m not the only one who noticed the new rendition of the track in the last update.
My friends instead haven’t lol. I guess I give much more attention to music than they do.
Over thirty attempts last year. This year, less than ten.
Done with the same build I used last year on my Thief, no silly blood sigil gimmicks.
Same here. Horrible, horrible lag. Interrupts my skills, teleports me back, makes me fall down in the middle of lightning pulls.
Whatever they’ve done to it in this patch, it’s terrible.
Wait… all starter zones champions were nerfed or just Queensdale’s?
Well it looks like everyone who missed the first season of the living story can now get almost every skin with tokens, oh well.
Yet, the account bound elemental catcher skins that were right from the original festival aren’t there any longer? What’s the reason of this?
As long as the difficulty is untouched, I don’t care whether the mini is obtainable again or not.
To me, Mini Liadri is worth more than a legendary.
Because it required me skill to gain it, not grind.
Hopefully, this time I can get the wind catcher without having to spend hundreds of gold on it.
I think she’s charismatic enough to do pretty well as a character part of a plot.
I’m sure story writers could easily find a spot for her in the living world storyline, if they only wanted. :P Although in the case she was an ally she’d probably have to be nerfed, as she’d be way too powerful.
A few months ago I bought a sclerite pistol skin for 64 gold. Now it’s going for 300. I wish I hadn’t used it now.
I guess it’s time for the rich to get richer with discontinued skins which are obviously going to skyrocket…
not rly
this skins are bad and noone buyd or used them and sure price will rise cause speculators – but you will sit on this skins for months when not years
not worth to invest
As ugly as they can be, skin hoarders will want them nonetheless. Just to have the skin.

(I haven’t included Melandru because her priest has no armor at all.)
Which should have been the first thing you included!
lol how would you make an armor out of this guy?

Or… add something like a “press start screen” before character selection that looks like the old login screen. That would work too, wouldn’kitten
Here’s your realistic greatsword: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/archive/0/00/20140101012329%21Basic_Greatsword.jpg
I could defeat Tequatl with some server organization neigh every day before the megaservers. Since they went live, I couldn’t defeat it once. Now, either I’ve been extremely unlucky with the instances, or this just doesn’t work.
I know megaserver might be good for those deserted maps, but not for those which hold the major world boss events which require coordination and organization, such as Sparkfly Fen and Bloodtide Coast.
Personally, I have to disagree.
I want my level to matter and consequently destroy anything with a fingersnap in level 10 zones.
Otherwise, they could just remove all levels all along, since it wouldn’t make a difference between level 80 zones and level 10.
Actually it’s not the only skin that seems to be unobtainable. There’s also the Reaper of Souls dagger skin which nobody really knows how to obtain.
Tons of useless blue and green items.
I know, I just answered only to the title. Sorry, I had to.

Here is Nevvi looking quite vicious with her new set lol
So I was using an old pair of Mad King’s slippers, (the ones you could obtain during Halloween 2012) and since I moved to ascended boots I wanted to get the expensive rune off them to use it on ascended… before discovering that I can’t salvage those!
It’s not karma armor so I don’t really know why they can’t be salvaged.
This wouldn’t have mattered much before, when you could move runes with transmutation stones but now it’s really frustrating.
Please, do something Arenanet.
Statistical Recombiner
Activates the option to switch between stat sets on a piece of equipment. (One-time ability)
125 gems each.
I’ve said this before and I will say it again. Solution: make karma items salvageble again with only the account bound rune as result of the salvage.
Nobody gets gold profit, and those who want the rune for karma get it. It’s a win-win.
Sadly, that is probably never going to happen. The graphic engine might just not allow such detail.
The simplest solution would be making that gear salvageable with the result of only the attached rune in account bound state.
Dead NPCs serve purpose of helping completing a daily achievement and hearts.
Where are these PvE AI controlled siege machines though?
I thought I was having a deja vu seeign this again lol, but there actually was another topic about this: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/audio/Grawl-Death-produced-the-Wilhelm-scream/first#post3703776
Then it seems like I was wrong. I could have swore to have heard male sounds coming from an Asura female… oh, well.
Ah I requested for different skin based shot sounds long time ago, but apparently I was never heard or they just didn’t want to. How awkward is the Glyphic Pistol, looking like some laser gun but sounding like a flintlock…
Right now, the only skins that change said sound are the Super Pistol and Quip.
I thought this was a way to send skins to wardrobe and then use them at a later time free of transmutation charge. But all it actually does is using the skin without applying it, and after that, it actually requires a transmutation charge. So what’s the need of that? I’d keep it in my bank rather than wasting it.
The combat system is boring? Not in my book. After playing GW2 I went to try FFXIV:ARR and I couldn’t bear the slowness of the combat there. If this is boring, I don’t know what that is.
Since we are talking about town clothes converted into battle gear…
Anet, could you make the Wizard Hat become dyable please? http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Wizard%27s_Hat
It’s such a waste it cannot be right now.
(As much as I hate it for making Human and Norn go bald, on Asura it looks quite nice instead.)
(edited by Hermes.7014)
Today I went to Blazeridge Steppes to defeat Shatterer. It had to be there by that time according to schedule, but for some reason I ended up in a map where it wasn’t.
I thought megaserver was supposed to eliminate all the downsides of overflow but this doesn’t seem much different at all.

How come Asura female and male share the same voice during battle? I’m not talking about quotes but groans and other various combat vocalizations of the sort.
Most of them sound like from a male Asura, so it’s kind of weird to hear that voice coming from a female.
When you dye an item, look at the requirements: it says 0 charges.
So can anyone confirm that all armor types get unlocked by acquiring one type of Fused Gauntlets?
