This paired with the slickpack makes me wish I had an engineer.
I like it this way. It’s something different from the usual hero guy we see in most games and movies.
As a new player who has struggled but still had fun with the Mad King’s Labyrinth, I thought it was cool to see this new area in a lower-level location. That said, even I think it’s a bit too easy given the sheer numbers of people around.
Champions go down in under a minute, and there seem to be tons and tons of them around, too.
Give it time for people who rush achievements to finish them and you’ll see things changing. I bet next week the number of players doing living world events will have already more than halved.
Every event in open world is potentially a zerg event when you tie them to achievements. That’s just how it is.
How about 250 spores + 10 gold = skin just like it was for the pavillion with tickets? It was perfect.
I can accept gem store skins, you get what you pay for. But about the RNG tickets, hell no, that’s an awful system.
I have to agree. The female version of the heavy armor looks nothing like the male counterpart. Plus, I never liked revealing heavy armor, it’s just… not armor!
Well well, guess what? I tried reseating the graphics card as well and it seems to have done the magic.
B, but if at the end of my gaming session it’s not completed then I’ll resort to A to do the remaining.
Besides, paradoxically, Krait are way more powerful on land rather than underwater.
Balanced difficulty instances.
In-game obtainable skins that do not involve exagerate amounts of inventory-clogging event tokens or RNG-based boxes.
Consistent ways to obtain ascended weaponry beside crafting and the (inconsistent) pure luck.
I’ll keep my expectations low, however.
I’m seeing more and more people experiencing abnormal performance of the game, as you can see in this topic: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Sudden-FPS-drop-3/first#post3095036
Your PCI-e bus probably throttles down in idle times, but if it really sits at x1 during gameplay, your FPS should have been bad since the very first time you logged into the game. However if you played just fine up until now, perhaps your issue is the same as all the others’ in that topic, me included.
Now, what’s the cause of this and how to fix it are the real questions. I’ve sent a ticket 4 days ago, got replied twice then all went silent after I followed their instructions and nothing had changed.
To me, however, the issue seems to be happening unevenly. While sometimes I can log in just fine with no performance problems, other times the game is unplayable and I have to resort rebooting my system multiple times before getting it to work properly.
I’m also under the impression that if GW2 is the first application run upon startup, it’s less likely to exhibit the issue, but even this might be just a coincidence.
Yesterday it seemed like FPS had returned to normal, but today they’re again low. I really don’t know what’s going on with this game. All my other games run just fine!
I’ve used FRAPS to benchmark for 60 seconds a run through Lion’s Arch from Fort Marriner to Grand Piazza on Auto-detect settings with shadows on low, and these are the results:
I’ve submitted a ticket and was asked to run a test through Game Advisor, but I’m unable to update it through the support desk. I tried setting up a password for the support account but the mail that should contain it for some reason doesn’t arrive to my inbox nor any other folder, so I’m unable to log into my support account.
I tried replying using e-mail and I received a reply back containing only this:
Response
On October 23rd we will transition to a new support site. Please make sure that you back up any information you wish to keep from tickets closed before October 23rd. After October 31st this information will no longer be available. We will of course make sure that all outstanding questions from before October 23rd are answered via email between October 23rd and October 30th. Otherwise you will not be impacted by this transition. Please also bear in mind that any support bookmarks and/or shortcuts might need to be updated after October 23rd. If you have any questions about this transition, please get in touch.
While it concerns open questions to the support team, it does not pertain to my issue.
After the last patch today my game too has suddenly dropped in FPS. Nothing changed in hardware or software, yet the game sticks to 10 FPS just about anywhere having graphics on auto-detect.
If I turn graphics settings to best performance the highest I can get is about 23 in a crowded area whereas before it would stay at about 50 fps. I’ve tried updating my graphics drivers but it didn’t work either. The mad king’s tower is now unplayable for me.
I’m running Windows 7 x64 with Service Pack 1 with 8 Gb of RAM and a Radeon HD6870 1Gb.

I don’t know, but this better be a monster only condition like agony.
It happened to me only once in WvW when I was the last one defeated before enemies conquered Hills, but I have no idea about what triggers this death music.
I agree that it is certainly better than the regular death music.
Their glow is somewhat similar to that of Husks. They might have been enhanced in some ways with Nightmare magic.
Plants again, but now with kraits. I’m thinking that the new ally of kraits is Faolain who escaped from Twilight Arbor…
This is something that sort of bugs me since I finished one of my Norn’s personal storyline.
I’m talking about this guy: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Captain_Romke
Having chosen “Lost an Heirloom”, my character was supposed to be his descendant who inherited his legendary warhorn, an artifact of great power, but… when you talk to his ghost in Orr he doesn’t even speak of the horn, let alone recognize you! You’re just the usual random adventurer to his eyes. Has he just forgotten everything when he turned into a ghost?
But not only that! The amnesia seems to be infectious, because even my character greets him by saying “Who are you?”… Who are you!? Just… what? Wasn’t he your great grandfather or something like that?! What about the warhorn and… oh, confound it all! It makes no sense!
Unless this is some kind of unaccounted weird orrian memory-canceling disease that affects everyone who get there, personal storyline should have an impact on the open world and on the reaction of the character you’ve interacted with in your adventures, but yet, it’s always like none of them really knows you outside of it.

Both yesterday and today on Seafarer’s Rest we’ve been experiencing heavy lag during our organized Tequatl fight. While yesterday we could manage to make it, today it was even worse and we failed the first attempt.
Utility skills often need to be pressed multiple times to effectively use them. But not only that, the whole fight seems to be messed up.
The timer on batteries is often inaccurate and the laser goes off at around 10-15 seconds remaining, after that, Tequatl just teleports stunned to the ground and recovers much faster before any solid damage can be done to it.
Also, today the HP bars on some batteries and the Megalaser have fallen to 5% right at the start of the second battery phase for no apparent reason, thus ultimately making us fail the event.
I’m not the only one experiencing this , otherwise we wouldn’t have failed. So really, what is going on?

Have you tried applying Best Performance graphics settings?
I did not receive any mail that contained these finishers.
I’ve only gotten a single (5 use) Mad King Finisher from Trick or Treat bags.
I’m thinking I won’t be completing that achievement any time soon, if ever, considering they are also being reported as not always registering for the achievement when used.
Do you have other characters? You might have received the mail on the first one you logged in that day and may not show up on others.
Why 1000? That’s alot. While 250 candy corns for one cob would have been just fine. Or perhaps even making full cobs drop from enemies as well could have worked, could it not?
The numbers required now are pretty crazy, considering Candy Corn nodes have been removed from open world too.

Anybody else noticed her suit’s textures seem a bit stretched over the model? Or is it supposed to look that way?
Stop paying them?
At once, only 700g. I get antsy whenever I have over 200 though :P I know there’s people out there with 10k+ but I just buy stuff/gems when I get bored.
I can’t imagine how they can get to such amounts. 24/7 farming? Buying gold from gold sellers? Credit card gems converted to gold?
It almost looks like a humanoid oakheart.
I have it on Best Appearance. However, look at this other topic. I’m not the only one who’s experiencing this.

I’m guessing the culprit of this is the hit sound the greatsword and scepter beams make. And if I have to be honest, I’d completely change that sound into something else. It is too loud and I never liked it at all.
On top of the clipping it doesn’t seem to look as good in game as it does in the make over menu
. Its more more…blurry and low res. You can really see it on the character’s right side where the hair next to the flower is really just kinda of a blob of hair. But in the menu it looks way cleaner. Wish i had known it was going to look worse before i bought it
I bought that hairstyle for my mesmer and it bugs me so much the quality on the in-game model is so low. It looked great in the preview… and if I knew this was the outcome I would have thought twice before buying that kit.
On the already existing hairstyles it was barely noticeable, but on this new one it is rather evident. I wisht hey’d do something to at least increase a little its quality, since it’s a gem store item…
Inb4 Permanent Self Style Hair Kit for 600 gems.
I’m not sure if this si a proper bug, but I’m going to report it.
As you can see in the pictures, the new third human female hairstyle appears of noticeable better quality in the character selection screen, while in game it looks worse, almost as if anti-aliasing isn’t working on it.
The in game screenshot was taken with graphics settings on “Best Appearance”.
What’s about this quality difference between the models?
Chaos Storm also sounds as if something is missing.
That light armor set for some reason reminds me of Blue Mage artifact armor from FFXI.
I whs this was among the new hairstyles presented yesterday. Please, Anet, how about in the next series of styles? :<
Expect gem price go up a few gold by today.
I don’t agree with 90% of the games on there, but as you say it is subjective.
Quoted for opinion sharing.
Although still nothing of that long hairstlye I suggested for Norn female.
The missing internal cooldown must be something developers missed, and it should be at least five seconds long. I wouldn’t call it a nerf but a fix.
This rune is like the only thing that made Mesmer confusion builds viable again. If they’re going to nerf it they should at least revert the last nerfs on confusion.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH !
At least I’m not whining to get a nerf on something I couldn’t beat.
Also play confusion Mesmer in PvP before talking.
This rune is like the only thing that made Mesmer confusion builds viable again. If they’re going to nerf it they should at least revert the last nerfs on confusion.
I’ve come up with this idea and thought I’d make a suggestion because I’m sure many would appreciate such feature.
Alot of us have a favourite class we main in game. But sometimes, we either never liked, or get tired of the colour of the visual effect of the skills the class has, or perhaps they don’t match at all the colour of the armor we are wearing.
Let’s say it, if you want your Guardian to look like some dark knight, a nice red on those skills would be much more fitting than the regular blue! And a blue colour set for those who play Mesmer but don’t really like the pink.
What I’m proposing now is the addition of a consumable item that allows players to change the default colour of skills and any particle effects tied to the class in another predetermined colour. Something like this…
Mesmer – Deep Blue Effects set
Consumable / One-time use
Changes permanently the colour of visual effects generated by skills to Deep Blue.
Cost: 800 gems.
Then to revert to the original state, another gem store consumable could be required to do so.
I specified Mesmers and Guardians because they have skills with the most striking colours, but I’m sure such item could be adapted even to other classes. Like with weapon swing / projectile trails and such, still without altering the special effects given by legendary weapons equipped, of course.
After all, color hue should be relatively easy to change even on particle effects. It requires a bit of work, yes, but still easily viable.

Was it recently changed? I remember it sounding differently and sincerely I kind of prefer the old sound.
I do, but I’m on a full dodge build.
If you think it’s so OP in PvE then go do fractals on full berserker gear and tell me how many times you’ve died.
Berserker is already being called the “noob gear”. So if anything, it should be buffed.

Will this path be required for the completion of Dungeon Master?
If Scarlet wants Twilight Arbor I don’t see any other ways than taking it by force from the Nightmare Court, and it’ not that she doesn’t have the means to do it. Anything NC can throw out is pretty much an easy prey for Aetherblades and Twisted Clockwork, unless we have a plot twist right there, like… some dragon rising.
