Wait tc people are complaining about these matchups and saying they don’t mega zerg?
Maybe they don’t mega zerg when they are matched with servers that can queue maps like they can. Sea of sorrows faced tarnished coast 6 out of the first 8 weeks the random matches began. All we saw is tc one 80 man zerg from them. If all tc is fielding is 25 to 30 then it shows you how many fair weather players you have and will only come out when they are winning or outnumber there opponents. The problem is all servers have those players. Some more than others. If tc can queue maps like they did when they played us they should be matched up with servers that also queue maps. Personally, I hope tc get matched up with t1 servers more. If anything its a test for your bandwagon guilds who usually begin thinking about fleeing when they are no longer winning.

Every other server has been dealing with the occasional get blowned out matches, excluding t1 servers.. Sos had weeks of dealing with it. Heck we are getting blown out by db this week. We have learn to deal with it. It has been fun facing db this week despite being blown out. Was some very good gvg matches as well.

…And there goes our last upgraded tower. Glad I’m not the one paying for these things, only to lose them every night/morning.

Well if it makes you feel better we had the same problems with TC for like a month. I’m hoping Anet start letting us upgrade with badges or karma and not just a goldsink

Heard a number of you are quite sore with TC. I just don’t see it. They were really pretty nice to us overall. Dunno, maybe it was just because they felt bad since we were stuck in between them and DB, but still.

It might have something to do with facing them 6 out of the last 8 weeks and getting tired of there server 80 man blob all in one spot. Even jade quarry in there matchup thread suggested that was a flaw of tc that would only work on servers they outnumber.

Haha people actually think sos queues maps? I map hop all the time usually in na time but have logged in at different times as well. The last time I had a queue in any map was three weeks ago when we played crystal desert. That queue lasted a whopping 5 min. Try facing tarnished coast or any tier 2 or 1 server like we have gone against for weeks on end. You will see what a queued server looks like.

Oh and anyone claiming you can send a 20 man team to take a bl via not pvd please post a video of your so called epic skills.

Not sure how you’re not getting infracted for calling me stupid, but I told you that you wouldn’t understand what you were listening to and I was right. They clearly say that WvW >DYNAMICALLY< uses merged server capacity for balance, and there is no reason at all to make it “dynamic” if it is dedicated. I didn’t expect that part to register with you either, though. If you drop down to a lower tier server you can ask for yourself about how we get bursts of skill lag whether we’re in a large battle or not … and it happens even in PvE. Don’t take my word for it …. ask others.

And because you can’t figure it out, my original point was that balancing player populations across realms (because of the dynamic allocation of server capacity) isn’t going to help skill lag as long as roughly the same number of players are playing. It would help queues on the high pop servers, though, of course.

Except you haven’t been right about anything in this entire thread. Like I said , but I guess you still cant seem to understand, I been to the low tiers. Been there done that. Never ever had skill lag on the map I am on because of some big battle that occurred from another tier. The only time it has happen is when im in the tier, in the same map the epic 3 way fight is occurring (usually on a high tier) and sometimes don’t even need to be anywhere near the big fight, but you wouldn’t know anything about this.

Now perhaps, since they merged the capacity of the “SERVERS”, you may (I never did)get a spike on your tier, but nothing compare to what happens on the map and tier the actual battle is occurring due to a large scale battle. My guess the spikes you may have seen is from your own tier server. Anyway, adding an endless amount of people to this fight (no queue)will just cause more lag in the tier and map it is occurring.

Like I stated before you need to transfer to a high tier server and then talk.

Why should you limit the number of players playing the game ??? If it was possible, i’d love to have limitless maps. Queues are @ around 2 hours on my server

Why a limit? Because servers can only handle so much.
No limit = lagfest and most likely server crashing.

I can’t imagine the skill lag that would be. There are times now when all 3 servers are queued in eb and there is a 3 way fiight in sm. People not even near sm are complaining about the skill lag.

If queues are an issue then transfer. Most servers I hear don’t have queues. Eu servers really the only people who really have a legit excuse for not transferring if queues is a problem.

How about simply putting in enough server capacity to meet the demand?

That’s exactly what it does … as just about everyone on my server can tell you. You may think you’re being sarcastic, but you are just being ignorant. Don’t believe me? Go watch the video that ANet presented just prior to game launch last year where they detailed all of that for the press.

LOL good job of posting useless info that has nothing to do with the topic or the discussion at all. That states nothing about the problem in hand and suggestion of lowering the cap to balance all world wvw population.

He also states they have many servers in that video, not 1. I guess you can’t even listen or read. Here is tip for you, the (s) in his presentation indicates plural when he is talking about servers. So when he states they have server(s) it indicates more than 1. He even stated more or less how many servers they have. But thank you for posting how stupid you are.

oh btw judging from your tag you play on DR, so my guess you have 0 experience playing in a tier where there are epic 3 way fights on high tier servers. I have played in every NA tier 1-8 at some point. The only time when people are complaining about skill lag in wvw is when there is a large scale fight taking place usually in SM in EB where people cant even use skills and it is ONLY affecting the people on that map in that tier and not in any other tier. This happens way more often in high tier servers.

My suggestion to you is try transferring to tier 1 and wait for a big scale fight in SM and ask your buddies down in DR if the people in that server are feeling the skill lag as well at that very moment where a high tier is having a big scale fight and nothing is going on in your tier. Guess what they won’t.

there are many things that anet should have done long long time ago, but they can still do it now…..

1. like someone mentioned above, limit the players per world per map. queues ? hey look , there are other servers over there ! move there.. don’t want to move ? enjoy the queue…. of course ANET will need to open a limited time free transfer for this….

2. randomize the match up, not by grouping them into 2 groups but a complete randomness…… who cares if BG is fighting SF, no difference as to if they’re fighting CD…. roflstomping is a roflstomping anyway…..subdividing the servers into groups of match up will create huge gaps in the rating points…..

… but of course someone already mention he doesn’t like the idea, apparently he sees anet only made 1 server……

Time to bring Thiefs to a normal level

Hello,

i normally don´t write on the forums, but now i just have too. Two Thiefs ganked about 20 ppl in the EB JP. Nobody could kill them. Perma stealth and insane damage. Both were s/p.

Can we pls see a fix for that? I really don´t mind if i get ganked once in a while, but this is going on for 2 hours now. They just won´t stop.

I managed to survive about 3 min alone against them but in the end i just couldn´t handle the damage.

Sounds more like one or perhaps both, if they were s/p thieves, were using smoke field and the other switch to sb for blast finisher for aoe stealth. I rarely ever visit jp. So I don’t recall there is a wall to use as a stealth. The only walls I know of that can be used for stealth are walls that are destructible in the regular wvw maps and not jp and that’s via cloak and dagger skill, which requires a dagger on off hand.

Anyway if they were using the aoe stealth, which is stealth stacking with the smoke field blast combo is an aoe that will reveal them if the aoe blast accidently hits a nearby target that can take damage, ie player, wall, npc, etc.

Outside of a tier 1 or tier 2 na server no other servers queue all maps. Most don’t queue any map outside maybe on reset. There are multiple servers in this game for a reason. It is not to have half the wvw population in just a couple of tiers. If those top tiers don’t like the queue then good transfer to any of the other servers. Problem solved. I find it amusing that all these server hopper guilds tend to leave a server when they were in a relatively balanced tier (prior to this random matchup) and then hop ship to an overstack server during their time slot so they can instantly win.

4 out of 5 weeks we are matchup with TC and now we got guilds maybe looking to leave due to these horrible matchups every week.

We haven’t had one decent matchup since these dumb random matches began.

SOS got TC 4 out of the 5 weeks since this dumb random matches started. People are getting tired of facing these over stack servers that only know how to send 100 people to stack might, pop veil to take a camp defended by 0- 5 people and yet when they are found by themselves run for dear life because they only know how to zerg.

I guess I see what you mean, but WXP is literally just a measure of how much time you’ve invested in WvW. It doesn’t really indicate anyone’s skill.

I honestly think it would just encourage even more zerging, because people would just want to jump on the WXP trains to move up the “leaderboard”

Oh you mean like the achievement leader board? Which just shows how much time spent in pve.

As far as wxp leaderboard, yes it should be listed. If anything it at least will show you who are the active particpates in wvw for each server and class.

And that is perhaps why it is not on the leaderboard.

What is wrong with knowing active particpants in wvw?

I for one am in wvw about 95% of the time when I’m online. I recently transferred to a server that needed coverage in a mid tier server about a month ago. I was looking for a pure wvw guild and realize there just not many on the server. Many claim to be wvw, but everytime I log on most are pveing and seem to refuse to do wvw.

I rather play or friend with people who have the same mind set as me.

Gems rewarded to winning server?

We would like to have a system that rewards servers at the end of a matchup based on their performance and are working out all we’ll need to do to make that happen. Ideally it will give extra rewards for winning while still rewarding everyone for participating. All that being said, it’s hard to know what form the final version will take. Hopefully we’ll have something to get everyone excited to fight for victory.

Are you people completely clueless? Do you actually play wvw on a server that is so ridiculously outmanned almost 24/7? My guess you don’t.

Might as well start shutting some servers down starting from the bottom. FC and ET seem like no matter what opponent they get they get blown out due to server imbalances. So now you want to award the winning server? As soon as winning servers get rewarded for having a bigger wvw population and less about skill you will see more and more transfers to winning servers. Maybe one day you will just have one server and the rest will all be ghost town for wvw or just be pve only servers. Is that ANET’s goal with wvw?

Awards are given when matchups are actually fair. Until you actually balance wvw population given awards to a winning server is a bad idea.

But then again ANET is good at bad ideas. How is the traps idea going? That idea came out of the blue as well.

The server that wins for that week gets gems as a reward.
Gives a final reward and for Anet, it may actually encourage people to visit and use the gem store more often.

Terrible idea. So you want people awarded gems for stacking servers, which would just cause even further stacking.

If anything they should award gems to people who transfer off a stacked server or award losing servers gems on blowout matches for only the individuals that actually participated WVW that week.

How Anet can balance WVW matches

Personally, I think the best way they can actually balance a majority of the matches and actually have real rankings not rankings based solely on WVW population 24/7 would be to lower the cap. How much would be up to Anet since they the only ones who know what the current cap is. Maybe lower it to what the avg server can field on a map of a mid tier server? or to the max number the lowest rank server can field in a matchup during a given time in the day?

Yea, I know high tier server will rage because they only know how to overwhelm their opponent by pure numbers and now they will have ridiculous queues. Good, then maybe they can actually unstack those servers or deal with the consequences.

Regardless, it will have more even matches. Make rankings based more so on server skill and less about server WVW population coverage. Also, it will actually reduced the lag when facing one of these mega servers.

6/7 SoR/ TC/ SoS

Nice to see SOS out and about and not just focusing on TC.

SOR for the last few days in EB has put everything against TC because they knew you guys would not attack them.
The game changes drastically when there are 3 teams playing. SOR’s 70 – 80 man map hoping zurg is useless. Yeah they will take over a few things but they will lose as many in the process.
It was nice to see SOS with some red towers in SOR’s third.

TC I know new content is out, but lets show we are not pushovers these last 2 days!!

Guess it must be a matter of perspective. Couple days ago SOS takes a tower from SOR in EB and attacks SM and almost gets inside to lords room to get SoR to stop attacking TC keep and TC responds by spending the rest of the night sending people to camp pang while SoR is looking for revenge against us and hitting us hard.

Then yesterday while fighting in SOSBL we fighting SOR and notice that TC is taking all our camps and some towers and yet TCBL is painted green. So instead of attempting to take your BL back from SOR you attack us? Interesting….

Sorry we don’t have the population like you guys have and pretty much never have a queue on any map.

After testing the range I decided I would keep AC mastery and get the last tier with the refund. The idea of that skill is great but 60 sec cooldown?!? Is it me or it is weak for something that cost 25 point?

There is very little info about it…

What has a 60 sec cooldown? That may make the difference in my choice. Heck in 60 sec the golems might be through the gate lol.

The final skill for AC mastery is a 60 sec cooldown. The one that unstealths anybody and makes them not able to restealth for a whopping 8 secs.

The stealth doesn’t matter, it’s the poison that is the real killer, even on a 60s cooldown that is pretty strong.

Maybe, didn’t really notice. Then again the times I used it most of the time I was behind the door. Didn’t really see much damage other than from the 1-3 skills. Maybe I was missing when I used it prior to patch? Dunno

But yea for the 25 extra points I just rather put it into Defense Guards, since it makes me very close to maxing that for the vitality stacks. I’ll probably get the final AC afterwards again. Just wasn’t overly thrilled with it when I had it last time.

obv on defense against guards….100 vitality? yes please

The tool tip says it’s even 50 per stack. Not sure what’s right and what’s wrong… spend my points there anyway. And siege bunker of course.

It was change from 25 Vitality per stack to 50. So I would think its 250 + Vit with all 5 stacks.

I was maxed in arrow cart b4 patch and had supply up to +2, but with reset I decided to just take up to the radius in AC and go with the defense guards. Love the 10s retal buff already when it activated on fighting guards and was fighting some players in the camp as well. Just need few more levels to max it out and get the vitality stacks.

The arrow cart final buff was ok but with a 60s cooldown and only 8 sec reveal on stealth didn’t find a whole lot of benefit from it prior to the patch, so although it is still good I decided to spend the extra 25 points towards maxing defense guards this time.

Heh. So can you still get in from SoS? Or does it work for some people and not others? I haven’t tried today since I read it was down, but then apparently someone from Anet said on twitter it was an issue accessing WvW from some worlds.

World vs World Cup

The main problem with this is we already know what the outcome would be.

The difference between futbol / soccer world cup is the teams all field the same amount of players. How will a low tier world like et have a remote chance to be competitve if they face sor? It would be like one team fielded 11 players and the opposing team fielded 1 player in futbol/soccer.

Wxp and points too few

The only issue I see with wxp is that it rewards the zerger more than the roamer or havoc groups.

The wxp that is issued for killing someone should be split up with the amount of people that killed that person. So if you soloed a player you should be rewarded more wxp than if an entire zerg killed that one person. Right now they are awarded the same.

As far as leveling fast, I don’t have a problem with it, then again I pretty much only do wvw unless to finish a daily these days and I roam most of the time. Maybe its the server I am in, but if you are in a low tier server isn’t easier to flip camps towers and keeps since it is less likely to be defended?

Top 5 most stable servers?

Whoa you listed kaineng as stable. Interesting, if there was a listing of most unstable servers I would say it would rank high on that list, if not top it. I can probably name only handful of players on this server that are consistent wvwer and been with this server from the start. Unfortunatly, the bandwagoner/ instant win kids whatever you want to call them did a lot of damage to this server. Many of the originals left kaineng when they started to arrive due to just steamrolling opponents and now many of those guilds left when we couldn’t steam roll opponents anymore.

With the recent events happening with Jade Quarry and possibly being the next high tier server to implode, has Maguuma started receiving inquiries regarding their server. I know some are flocking to DB, but since you guys are winning by a lot you may be the next server for the bandwagoners. Lord knows they don’t bandwagon to losing servers to try balance things out.

Traps?

If you placed a trap in the middle of an engagement with a thief you are basically saying please backstab me. Please unload on me with everything you got. Can the trap be cancelled or if once placing the trap you are stuck there for 4 seconds?

Can a thief strip a player of supplies while invisible? If they can the thief could just strip the player of their supplies and now that player can’t lay a stealth trap down because he doesn’t have 10 supplies.

Is Anet planning to do ANYTHING to address this lag? I need a straight answer right now.

WvW is literally the ONLY thing that keeps me playing this game. Not the gear grind for ascended, not that boring living story content, not dungeons, not the grind for cosmetic skins and not the crappy excuse for what they call Structured PVP. WvW IS THE ENDGAME. It’s the only thing that gives this game serious re-playability.

In the early days of GW2, skill lag in WvW was barely noticeable. I don’t know what happened but it’s gotten much worse now, especially in T1. This skill lag is extremely frustrating and absolutely gamebreaking. At this point, it’s simply unacceptable.

WvW brings so much joy to me in that I can choose to play individually, roam solo and stand against the zerg. It’s not like the gated content of FoTM or dungeons where you need 5 people in a group. In WvW, you can do what you want how you want it. When it comes to dealing with a zerg, there needs to be precise and quick action. The lag absolutely demolishes any effort pf this and the mob of people spamming autoattack will win every time. I’m very happy that Anet fixed culling as that was a major issue for many. The new ranking system is a nice edition with many flaws but that’s another story. Right now, they need to address the lag. I can’t continue playing a game that is broken like this.

Arenanet, are you planning to address the lag issue in World vs. World? Will you at least acknowledge it?

I feel you pain. Yesterday, I was in a 3 way fight in stonemist in tier 3. The lag was terrible. I couldnt use any skills and somehow we had to destroy all the arrow carts inside lords room. I felt like I spent the whole time dancing with my enemies inside lords room because I couldn’t touch them and it seems most couldn’t touch me as well, unless with an arrow cart.

I was going to try to destroy some arrow carts, but all I could do was look at it. I stared at the guy on the arrow cart and he stared back. His arrow cart was working so yea I just took off at that point and went to the borderlands. It was pretty pathetic.

Map Completion impossible in Ring of Fire

So basically, this post is another pver who doesn’t want to actually put in any effort to get world completion, yet someone on your own server apparently got world completion done within the same time period as you. This is why pvers are frowned upon by many wvwers. They expect to be given items with very little effort. Yet, the wvwer has to work about 5 times harder to get the same items.

Falling off a cliff damage lag

I’ve noticed recently it seems everytime I jump off a cliff I fall to the floor and receive no damage. Then a few seconds later as I begin to walk I stumble to the floor again and then lose health with a couple times lose enough health to die.

Are others experiencing this as well lately? This never happen to me before, as far as falling. It seems to happen everywhere now, even when not many people are on the map.

They had to put stealth reveal trap if they are going to implement supply removing trap.

I can see it now make sure you keep using stealth reveal trap as you run supplies because a stealth thief is constantly putting down a supply removal trap in front of anyone on all supply camps and keeps.

So we went from arrow cart wars to beginning of trap wars. Lol

Wasn’t AON from a low tier and then moved from tier to tier and recently stated on another thread they have finally met there match since they went to a tier 2 server? I thought they were considered one of the really good small man guilds.

I myself have been in every tier except tier 1. I’ve always been on the same server.
I understand when people stay loyal to a server.

Anyway, the higher tiers is not for everyone. The low tiers is not for everyone. For me personally, I like to roam solo. I used to be able to solo camps and not worried about getting zerged while in tier 8. When we went to tier 2, that never happened. Since we went to tier 3 I have been able to roam solo more.

It just depends on how you want to play.

Many of these post in this thread make me laugh though. Just a little reminder: talk is cheap and action speaks louder than words for you forum warriors. Keep it in game.

Ah, so you want legendary, but don’t have to work to get it. Pvers……
A simple search of the wvw forums would have provided you an answer, from all the other pvers who want things simple.

Sorry if this post offends you, but posting in wvw forums, where many hardcore wvwers post and complaining how it is so hard for a pver to get legendary is laughable.

Legendary weapons was suppose to be difficult to get and given to people who mastered all parts of the game. Unfortunatly, that is not the case due to people want something for nothing.

Ascended Gear... none again?

They probably introduce ascended gear (rings, amulets, accessories, backpieces) in wvw after they introduce ascended clothing for pve only.

Seriously, don’t know why it is so hard to copy and paste the same gear from fractals into wvw vendors with badges as currency. Seems like a 5 minute job.

30th April Patch Update

That’s not right; the current combo time is 1.5 seconds (on armor less than 1900/16000 health, ie glass cannons, scale it appropriately with multipliers for your armor/health value):

  • Black Powder ~= 1k on crit
  • Steal ~= 5.5k on crit + condition on target
  • Heartseeker ~= 3.75k on crit + condition + >50% health; 6.6k on crit + condition + <50% health. (Puts you into stealth.)
  • Backstab ~= 8.5k on crit + condition + >50% health; 10.2k on crit + condition + <50% health.
  • Proc::Lightning Strike ~= 1.5k condition + >50% health; 1.8k condition + <50% health.
  • Total = 25,000 damage.

Let’s see if I understand this correct… according to you, thiefs can do 25,000 damage in 1.5 seconds.

And you think that this does not needs to be nerfed?

My damage:
Black powder – around 500
Steal – I don’t use Mug, so 0
Heartseeker – 2000
Backstab – I think I had once 4k crit on an upleveled player, so let’s leave that – 4k
Total – 6.500 – yeah, I feel deadly and op :P

The problem is that there are thieves and thieves – we don’t all use scary glass canon build to bully new players. What kind of damage would You like me to have? 200 crit on backstab, or is it still too much? Nerfing thieves isn’t that simple.

Yea those stats don’t look right at all. One he apparently crits on everthing. So somehow he has 100 percent chance on everything. Even it those stats were correct the thief must be a pure glass cannon go against another glass cannon.

I don’t think most thieves run glass cannon builds anymore because sure you can kill someone quick if they are glass themselves, but they have pretty much no survivability at all.

The most I’ve hit a backstab for was 15k, but that was against an underlvled player, so that really doesn’t count. Most of the time my backstab varies from 2k to 10k on 80s. It all depends on what gear they have.

Suggested Enhancements to WvW

I want this thread to be a resource of ideas that would make WvW a bit more fun and interesting. Feel free to critique the ideas, support or disagree with them, add your own, and MAYBE we can get Anet to take a look at them. This is not intended to be a major overhaul of WvW, just ideas that make the current setup better. Please avoid anything involving loot bag drops or seige despawning; those have been beaten into the ground and are not easy fixes. So, here are some ideas to start:

1. Quaggans guard the WATER gate of Garrisons and are actually a challege if they are there (perhaps a legendary Quaggan Shaman)

2. Currently, Sentries can’t kill dolyaks. They try, but can’t. Perhaps increase the sentry damage to dolyaks so they can, unless the dolyak has NPC guards.

3. Greatly increase the hit points and healing of dolyaks so they are much, much more difficult to kill (out of a camp) and might require the assistance of a sentry (see number 2).

4. Make the point potential value of keeps, towers, etc. go up as they are upgraded. The total points possible is already altered because of sentries and the elusive yak kill points. Upgraded places would become a larger target, and upgrading would have even more advantages.

5. Add gates to the walls leading to the north supply camps in borderlands. Maybe paper gates, but something to make it a bit more defensible.

6. Scale defending NPCs health, damage, or numbers to the number of enemies close to it while it has crossed swords, perhaps reduced by the number of allies close to it. Not in a strictly linear scaling, but something to give zergs a challenge when there are no defending players. The NPCs should not be more powerful than if a player was there instead.

Critique, add, etc.

Regarding #2 I always thought sentries can kill an unguarded dolyak. I have never stood to watch the whole encounter without interference because I’ll either jump in kill the yak or sentry, but I’ve seen them disappear seems like everytime a yak runs into a sentry of a different faction.

Anyway, I always thought that is the purpose of claiming those sentries, other than karma and now wxp, was to kill yaks and disrupt supplies going to tower, keeps, or castles.

I had watch the whole thing and I know they mention Guardians wont be able to block projectiles, but didn’t hear anything about elementalist not being able to block them anymore. Must have miss that part.

Do know elementalist and mesmers seem to be getting the biggest nerfs for wvw.
Guardians are pretty much staying where they are, didn’t really hear any nerfs to them other than not being able to block projectile.

Look forward to seeing some of the changes go into effect as well as necro getting a new condition would be interesting.

Confused about Kaineng

the first day after reset does not conclude the upcoming result my friend… the deviation in rating point will shrink as the week goes by…. perhaps FA may just avoid the drop on the last day….

Kaineng has had leads during weekend several times before or like last week we were in 2nd to TC then the weekdays come and it becomes a complete drop off. Reset day is when a lot more are on than normal. Plus dropping down a tier seem to bring a lot more people to show up than has been. Just logging in this morning we had a queue in EB, which I haven’t seen happen during this time of the day in weeks.

Anyway, will see how the week progresses whether we will move back to tier 2 or not.

How do you get into the spawn?

So a huge zerg with loads of mass invisible could pass into the spawn and make a picknic?

That is unlikely as most of the zerg would end up getting one shotted.

This most would apply to thieves who can permanent stealth to get to the spawn or using SR to get a small group in or maybe port a grp in by a mesmer.

The thing is you can kill them, but they can’t kill you.

Prepare your weapons. Kaineng has not been to Tier 3. We skipped from T4 to T2. We are excited to fight many guilds and fight hard for our servers. Salutations to all. Bring your best fight. Let the games begin with odds ever so in your favor.

We never skipped tier 3. I remember a lot from tier 3 when we faced maguuna and dragonband. Last I remember there were what 3 to 4 times that week the thread got locked.

We accused magunna and dragonband of 2v1 us on reset and it was just ugly in these threads.

Anyway it would be interesting to see how many in kain actually show up for the week.
If we get numbers like we have been getting then we will probably drop out of this tier as well. Most of the larger wvw guild are gone or will be leaving soon.

Nice to see mags and yaks again. Last I remember you guys are pretty strong during na primetime.

[RISE] Journey in Kaineng

AS one of the TCers that fought RISE in T2 for weeks, I am a bit sad to read that they will leave KN.

No server is determined by one or two guilds, but RISE and WM were the two guilds I fought the most on the battlefield in WvW, altough I certainly noticed that KN had alot of militia too.

KN was a nice server to fight: no corpse dancing, no spawn camping almost no jumping puzzle killing, no people jumping up walls, no forum accusastion. It is a pity to see it fall apart.

Apperently RISE went to KN on T8 just to make KN rise to the top tiers, so I understand that when you reached the top of what the server can do, you leave and try to do it again on a T8 EU.

Rise was never on Kaineng when we were in Tier 8. They were one of the bandwagon guilds that joined only after we were moving through the tiers. I think they joined when we were dominating tier 6.

As I stated months ago in a post regarding people making bets how far Kaineng would go up in tiers. People were betting tier 4 and some said tier 2. I responded that the they should be betting on how long will it take for these bandwagon guilds to hop servers again when we reach our wall. So I guess the answer to that was 4 weeks? LOL

Good luck where ever you guys go. My guess its another green server that is already dominating or potential to move through tiers or a tier 1 server.

That has got to be one of the most bs post I have seen. I thought you had some real info to provide after claiming to be a game designer and teaching it.

Then you say the no.1 reason people are leaving GW2 is because of the thief?
Really? Most people who play GW2 probably don’t play wvw to begin with or don’t play it as much as pve. Yet they are quiting to go back to wow or swtor because of one class?
They are going back to swtor? Really? The controls in that game are horrible.
Most people who left that game would never go back to it.

Didn’t GW2 win game of the year last year. They must have done something right.
My suggestion to you mister game designer develop your own game, make millions when it sells a ton then come and give credible reasons why it sold so much.

The part about the end game content I tend to agree with, but your whole post was because YOU may quit because you don’t like the way ANET designed one class.

Why put siege behind door?

Just wondering as to why people keep putting arrow carts or catapults behind the door and not on the wall?

Because its generally the safest place to put siege that can defend against people attacking the gate.

The way the game currently is setup walls is generally a bad place to put siege unless you have a lot of it and they are manned. This is because attackers have a big advantage with their aoe on walls and the ability to just knock people off of walls.

One of the core philosophies of this game is that you should never be unhappy to have an ally help you out.

How much fun would be if someone shows up at the tail end of a fight, tags the enemy and suddenly cuts your reward by half?

You brought up a valid point and I could definitly see that happening.
However, perhaps if they just reduce it to a percentage.

For example 100 percent of the wxp a player is worth is rewarded if soloed.
Then maybe 90 percent of the wxp a player is worth is rewarded if 2- 5 players killed the one player.
6-10 player kill one person get 80 percent.
10 players plus would get 50 percent. (So if 30 players killed one person worth 60 points they each get 30 wxp points)

The point being it is much harder to solo and kill a person than 30 people all kill the same person, but they are awarded the same currently.
