I have to say after jumping in on today’s stress test, I feel like DE is one of the lowest damage spec’s in the game right now.
I play a bunch of PvE today and I found myself wondering why I would sacrifice ALL my mobility and a 3rd dodge for a weapon set that deals around the same damage as Shortbow.
I mean that literally, the #1 does about as much kitten #1 and the Double tap does about as much as the cluster explosion on SB. I understand that once we have full malice our DJ’s solo crits for about 10K…..but doing 20 seconds of horrible damage just to be able to hit for 10k isn’t worth it when I can just Dagger auto attack for 10k every 2 seconds, or unload spam for 8K each.
I can’t help but feel DE’s damage has been severely overestimated due to a malicious post of one hitting for 100k with every possible buff in the game against a naked target with every possible debuff in the game….an unobtainable scenario without setup.
The spec itself isn’t bad…but the weapon set does lieterally SB damage. Why would you ever DE with Rifle, when you could DE with P/P lol.
Hoping they maybe lower DJ’s damage a bit if it’s a concern but increase the overall DPS of the rifle’s other skills because right now they are trash in PvE, and the loss of mobility and dodges makes it trash in PvP……..new specialization is DOA it seems.
I have countless friends who would play but they can’t see any reason too.
I tell them there’s a ton to do, PvP, Raids, WvW, Open World…etc.
And their response is always the same…..“Why?”
They are stuck on the point of:
“Why do open world/raids, no gear drops worth using”
“PvP all gear is normalized, and WvW is just a zerg fest so gear doesn’t matter”
I love the game….but can’t really argue the point. Why raid for legendary armor and trinkets…it’s the same stats as Ascended. Why do Open World….all the gear is garbage and insta salvaged. SPvP you dont need gear, and WvW your gear doesnt matter because it’s a zerg.
Is loot being changed in any way this expansion? Or if you’re full ascended is there no such thing as an upgrade once again.

It’s a complete punch in the gut to all of us who actually put hours into this game and try and improve our PvP game.
I love this game….but boy….it’s getting hard to invest my time into PvP when everyone else just seems to be AFK botting or cheating.
It seems Anet WANTS everyone to just either bot or cheat in their game.
There are more botters than real players for weeks now in PvP, ranked and unranked. There seems to be nothing being done about it. Anet seems to be perfectly happy with all the bots filling their game.
As for cheating. You get to cheat and reap all the rewards…and heck…if you’re caught, you just get a slap on the wrist. You get to keep your account and everything….so why not? (Abjured is allowed to play again this season)
Im beginning to think Anet makes and sells the bots/cheats with how little they do about it.
Why can you only equip one specialization?
Not sure why I can’t have my HoT and my PoF specializations equipped at the same time……or am I just not seeing it.
I hate to see such a large part of this expansion, (Our new elites), already being put up on the shelf.
This last day of demo I saw pretty much every class with the exception of Scourge go back to their HoT specs because all of the new specs except necro just seem so weak when compared to their HoT Elite. Spellbreaker I still saw a few of, and some dead eye’s….but DD just massacres DE…..so most people I know who play thief’s, including myself, all just went back to DD already.
Are we going to see some significant changed in a majority of these classes to make the new elites worth running…or are they just DOA.
If so….maybe take them off the content list for this expansion? It’s like selling alpha access….here some stuff….it’s unplayable….but here it is!

I’ve been doing some testing today on the dummies in the mists trying to figure out if rifle is the new highest DPS on Thief for things like Raiding.
I thought for sure P/P would beat it out with DE and just unload spam….but after testing I found this:
- I went all out for 40 seconds on the target with the same tree’s and skill for both. (40 seconds seems to be about the time both weapon sets run out of initiative)
- The only trait that aided one weapon and not the other was Snipers Cover, giving Rifle an extra 20% crit chance.
- No movement was done, which was likely beneficial towards rifle bias.
However, in just straight DPS race, rifle seemed to beat out P/P. With P/P averaging about 180K and Rifle averaging about 210K.
Without being able to use DPS meters it’s hard to get exact results, but had anyone else tried this out yet and if so what did you find?

This is not just 1 huge number that rifle can produce once every 45 seconds.
I’m thinking highest DPS will either be rifle or P/P with DE tree.

Seems like a bronze build in PvP. Any team with Ele’s or guard’s who know how to play and this build is rendered helpless….heck….even other thief’s massacre P/P.
It’s a strong PvE build though…..
And then he fought an Ele or Guard who knew how to play and instantly killed himself.
Although that applies to Rifle #4 as well :P
You do realise that deadeye doesn’t have to hunt down healthy targets with all their cooldowns and health? They will pop heads off of tanks or supports when they are semi-weak or during a fight. In this case we won’t have any tanks and supports in pvp because they will end up as ducks to shoot first. Deadeye can safely wait out all blocks and evades or even reflects or just wait for the target to get busy in a fight for insta kill.[/quote]
You guys seem to be overlooking that this games PvP is king of the kill. Doing the stated would mean 30 seconds to even 2 minutes just hiding…waiting for a chance to blow someone up. Well heck…let them have the kill, they just left their team 4v5 for 2 minutes…how can any of you possibly think this is a good play.
So it’s OP to leave your team for 4v5 for 2 minutes to secure a kill…..seem OP to the enemy team if you ask me because you are literally winning the game for them.
DE more often than not CAN do this…and lose every game. Or…they fight for a point, and lose every fight because of having no mobility or escapes….and they are still theifs lol.
Changes needed to DE:
1. Most importantly: Mark should be instant.
2. Heal should be instant (It’s not big enough to justify a cast time.)
3. Binding Shadow should be instant
4. #4 (Kneeled) should be instant……OR….keep the cast time, but make it unable to be blocked or reflected, must be dodged. (It’s so bad I know people who just wont use this move…ever…. because with the delay it can just be reflected and 1 shot yourself.)
5. #4 (standing) should be instant.
All in all….it just needs all these darn cast times removed. Literally every move in this spec has a cast time too it…making the whole think feel clunky and slow. We are already sacrificing ALL of our mobility for some ranged damage. Now we have to sacrifice our fluid combat for it as well.
It’s like you took the slick master of deception and handed them a gun without any instructions and they are fumbling over themselves trying to work it…..that’s literally what I feel like my character is doing….is trying to figure out how the heck to put one in the chamber and pull the hammer back. It has made thief feel less like a professional hit man and more like a bare armed boot camp cadet.
This post needs to be removed by the mods.
This post has done nothing but try and maliciously overstate the possible damage that can be done in order to have a class that is actually fairly underpowered already, nerfed.
Please read Sly’s post above. With this setup, an auto attack from almost any class would likely crit for around 30-40k. It’s a scenario that is entirely impossible to replicate in actual play. If I had done this exact set up on my warrior with Thousand blades I likely could have pushed around 250k damage.
The fact is the Average #4 on DE usually only has around 2-3 malice stacks and crits for around 4-8k.
It wont do anywhere near that damage on a tanky target with toughness.
The fact in the end though is that these kinds of attacks will never happen in a real PvP match. You will never get to stand there stealthed for 30 seconds to get full malice, and have somone standing next to you doing nothing but spamming might on you for 30 seconds…….
And if you did get this scenario, then I hope I am playing against you and your friends every match because it’s a free win. Ill gladly have one person from my team be 1 shotted if it means 2 people are doing nothing off point for 30 seconds at a time. You’ll lose 100% of your matches doing that lol.

Yes…he stood there and did nothing with zerker amulet on, while you had zerker and had other people give you max stacks of might and then he stood there while you built up max malice.
In other words a scenario that will NEVER happen in real PvP. Why didn’t you just do this set up on a war w/ thousand blades, it would have hit way harder than 100k.
Lol! I mean, if we are taking numbers from a zerker with a 45 second set up against another zerker while having full buffs….then we can play scenario any way we like…right?
So ya…in an absolute pristine and perfect scenario DE can nail you for 35k….but likewise, other skills can do just as much if not more than that. Heck…my dagger #2 fully buffed crits for 35K now against Teq every day lol.
What I’m saying is: … these hits will almost never happen in proper PvP. Unless you’re bad enough to be full zerker, fighting someone equally bad whom is also full zerker, and they are AFK while you build malice and get full stacks of might for your 45 second prep…..it’s either set up just to try and get huge numbers…or it doesnt happen.
? I’ve hit for over 50K with thousand blades fully buffed against a zerker cloth…..so that must be SUPER unbalanced….and it took way less set up….I just jumped on them and hit 1 hotkey.

So I can sit in stealth and off point for 30+ seconds to take 1 shot that can be dodged, Los, blocked, or even reflected, and then be useless and weak for another 45 seconds so I can try it again. While I leave my team 4v5 in fights and on point…..ya…..seems like a useful spec lol.
Even if you 1 shot someone…you can’t follow up the kill after downed because of how weak you are.
But lets say you do kill someone BOOM! Gj…now to reset it up will take about another 45 seconds, so you’re getting about a kill every 45 seconds……I can kill and entire enemy team in 45 seconds with D/D, D/P, or Staff…….lol
I swapped back to DD and am currently about 30-0 against all the DE theifs lol.
It’s just a bad spec for PvP…which is lame.
The only way this is achievable is if you are stealthed for 30+ seconds to get full malice, have 25 stacks of power, and you’re targeting a Zerker spec with no defense……
So setting aside the fact that you need to be out of the fight and off point for over 30 seconds to even try a shot that can be reflected, LOS, and blocked. You need to have someone spamming buffs on you, and your target needs to be full zerker cloth class. But even setting that aside…the fact that it’s technically a 2v1 against and AFK person…what I’m saying is in order to get that number you have to set it up…..as in it doesn’t happen in real PvP….this is set up to be optimized for the biggest hit possible and you likely wont see numbers like that in 100 legit game unless someone is AFK.
I have played about 25 games today, and it’s just bad.
I actually swapped over to my War and am thinking about maining it for the expansion.
DE has the lowest:
A. Survival
B. Mobility
C. Attack Speed
D. Damage
The only exception to this is if you chain together 20+ seconds of stealth and let malice build up to full. So you’re meant to be out of the fight and off point for 30+ seconds to try and set up a huge burst….that can be blocked, reflected, and LOS……because once you’re revealed you are literally about as strong as an NPC.
If this is what thief is this expansion, I think you finally succeeded in deleting the class.
There’s such a simple way to fix ALL these complaints……..
Add a death match mode……….so obvious :P
I don’t even know if this is allowed…..but if it’s removed…then it will at least mean someone from Anet saw it…right?
I want to say “Thank you!”, as someone who has played on and off since launch, for taking cheating seriously and giving these players “permanent” dishonor…meaning those of us who play by the rules will never have to see them again. These kind of end all repercussions are what need to be seen across all MMO’s, not just GW2, and I wish more companies would realize that.
Keep up the good work and keep on weeding out these cheaters and botters!
I have several friends who never played HoT, but may jump into the expansion.
Will the new expansion include everything?
If so….will the current price of HoT be reduced to $5-$10 until the new expansions launch?

Hide in shadows I feel like got much better with this condi heavy patch….it removes ALL damage dealing condi’s except torment and gives probably the biggest heal theif has access too…..plus stealth. However…a 1 sec cast on this sucks….AND it has a huge cd.
Roll is always a nice option….but the heal is mediocre….and the dodge is just meh…we already have access to so much dodge it’s not entirely a must. However, it does get rid of movement imparing effects AND Torment <.<
The DD heal got nerfed big time in terms of its stamina production….getting the entire thing off doesnt even give you 1 dodge….it nets you 45 stamina. The heals is decent though.
A friend recommended the signet heal….its a short cd on a small heal, but gives passive healing just from attacking….so I’m not sure.
What heal are you guys running in this condi meta?
Has anyone else noticed this?
Not only were DPS moves on almost every class nerfed into the ground while condi’s were buffed…..but I feel like everyone I fight just has 20+ seconds of Prot running….making DPS even weaker.
This is especially bad with Necro’s and Hunters….I dunno what changed but they seem to have prot up constantly in 1v1’s…..making my physical hits land for about 800……when I have 60k life to eat through against necros’….making my skills hit for 800 seems like a lost fight….
OP is either trolling, joking or just new to PvP.
Thief is in fact one of the least forgiving, and most underpowered classes currently in the game.
One wrong move or one missed dodge means your dead…and with the worst downed state in the game…..(arguably tied with Mes)….once you’re down, you’re dead.
Yes thief is mobile….but they are made that way because they are also made to literally not be able to 1v1 any other well played class.
Back in the day Thief backstabs were hitting for 12-14K…not you’re lucky if you break 8k unless you have a power machine buffing you.
The simple fact is….thief is arguably the weakest class 1v1 AND in group. Their saving grace is their mobility for decapping points. In other words, in solely TDM bg’s like we used to have….having a Thief on your team meant you lost.
All I see is people saying “They will ruin it, it’s as simple as that”

I play every class except Warrior and as someone who actually plays Tempest quite a bit in SPvP….I can easily say Diamond Skin is the best trait out of any class, period.
I’m hoping it’s still viable after the nerf…but make no mistake, it has to be nerfed.

Then I come on these forums and see people complaining that it’s impossible to climb, or that the people who are Diamond and above all cheated to get there. And that ranks means nothing because of the exploitable system currently in place.
I have some bad news for everyone…..the rank means nothing because YOU DONT GET ANYTHING…..
I have to say I was hyped when I heard about leagues. But now that they are out….we see that they are pointless.
There is literally NO reward for being Legend when compared to Amber, aside from a PvP back skin……wowie.
The rewards for PvP are seriously lack luster.
Heck, I made more money in 1 hour of grinding xmas gifts than I did in 2 weeks of PvP getting to Ruby…..what a joke.
So here’s the truth guys….PvP is meaningless in this game. Setting aside the exploits, ranks, cheaters, and unbalance. You just plain don’t get anything for PvP. So stop complaining about people being in Ruby, Diamond, Legend x500, whatever. Truth is, no matter how they got there….they wasted their time doing so, and got nothing for it. Thats how I feel at least about Ruby…..
Who knows, maybe once you get Legend there’s some cool reward I don’t know about…any Legends care to shine some light?

Hate to say it….but the post title is the truth….
Lets set aside my love for Thief and how they’ve been destroyed. (I’ve pushed through to Diamond with my Rev…..what a surprise…..)
My favorite parts of the game, PvP (sPvP and WvW), are DEAD.
I don’t mean this as in they are dead because of the horrible balance and current meta. But the death is a direct result of the above….
What I mean is just six weeks ago I would enter the Mists and there would be people everywhere testing builds and sitting in que, playing the sPvP. I go in there now and I am lucky if I see 10-15 people in the entire zone. The place is a ghost town. And que’s are taking longer and longer and longer….because nobody’s playing.
Ontop of the sPvP having no one in it. The Esports scene has gotten a terrible wrap in the gaming public’s eyes due to the pro teams exploiting their games system for their own gain. Most other Esport games have seen this as a weak community and boiled GW2 down to a joke of a game that doesn’t deserve any coverage…..and that’s exactly what has happened….no one has covered GW2 esport except Anet because no one wants to cover a game who’s pro’s are considered cheaters. This is Anet’s fault and the pro’s fault equally. They have both ruined any chance GW2 had of being taken seriously, and first impressions stick! And for what…..a marker next to their name that will be gone in a month…..that was worth it!
Wrap it all up with the new WvW maps literally not having 1 single player on them. And the old WvW map being screwed up with these auto upgrade timers making it a ghost town most of the time….and you have the title….
On the plus side, even a PvP’r like me has found something to love in the PvE. The raid…..man….I haven’t had this much fun in PvE since Vanilla WoW and EQ times….why is the raid so fun with friends?
Anyway, pull some people off your PvE team and stick them on your PvP team. You need to strengthen your weakness’. And right now, GW2 PvP is a big hole in the head.

Just hit 1k drinks today….3 days in.
Now these last 3 days I’ve been farming pretty hard on these gifts. Playing at least four to six hours a day of nothing but Xmas, maybe more.
I’ve also been emptying the vendor every day with karma, getting the 100 gifts that I can before the snowflake tier.
It has still taken me 3 days to hit 1k….which means 10k will take a month of me farming at this rate….and that’s assuming I don’t run out of Karma.
I don’t even know if this event is going on for a month…and if it is it requires probably and average of 5 hours of xmas a day and 200k karma a day to achieve….
So my question is….can this be done without putting some gold into it?
As I said before, I don’t really have a problem with it since I have the gold to buy it outright….but I know a lot of players who don’t. Probably the majority, and some of my newer friends are lucky if they have 50g on them at any given time.
So I DO think Anet did this shoulder piece better. It’s much more play intensive rather than money gate….
However, if the 10k drinks literally CANNOT be achieved within the time limit of the event…(Still unknown)….then there IS still a money gate.
Has anyone else been able to farm over 1k in these last 3 days without spending any gold in a significant manner. Ex: Does anyone have 2k drinks over these last 3 days just from farming?
Also for those of you wondering how to farm it.
- Toypoc: Average 140 Gifts an hour done well
- Bells: 196 Bells and hours (Varies depending on luck with new maps)
- Jumping Puzzle: I’ve personally hit 13 successful runs in the 30 mins, netting me 260 an hour. This is 2:30 seconds a run. I have been told that a guildy saw someone with 15 at the end of one. This is 2:00 per run, non stop, no mistakes. I really can’t see anyone getting faster than that and this would net him 300 gifts an hour.
So….its 150-200 guaranteed gifts an hour depending on luck with choir.
Or 300 Gifts an Hour if you are just a monster at the JP with some luck on the presents and no mistakes.
So….what do you guys think?
If this event last 2-3 weeks…I really don’t think it can be done without gold.
If it lasts a month+……I think it can be done….but still pushing it unless they leave it out until the end of January.

I am LOVING the Wintersday Event. There’s tons to do and every event is fun imo.
Lots of achievements to get and cool rewards.
Blows the Halloween event out of the water lol.

I am hearing tons of complaining about how this is too much.
I personally think it’s fine…..but I dont want to dump a good million + Karms into Presents to get the 10k drinks, just to have to have it be bumped down to 1k in a few days. That would be unfair to those of us who made it happen.

But the point is I like GW2. I want it to be fun and enjoyable.
I already heave an 8 hour chore to do every day. I dont need another one when I come home :P
From the state of their PvP, and their PvE content already having been cleared…..there’s not much to do.
I was really excited to play with the expansions launch….now it just feels like a chore just logging in every day.
Raid content is done, so waiting for the next wing….whenever that is.
Hit Ruby in PvP and about 90% of the players are either Chrono or Rev….like literally all 10 players will be 2 classes about 90% of the time……
PvP is pretty boring with only 2 classes……
So that leaves us with….well…nothing to do….just like before. Except it happened way faster this time lol.
Sure some people will come back for a week to clear the new wing in the raid.
And maybe some people will return in February to see the balance changes for PvP…..
But here’s to hoping that the next wing is harder and the Balance changes make most, if not all, classes viable. Because at this point, the PvP lobby is emptier and emptier every day, que’s are getting longer and longer. And it’s taking more and more time to find a raid group because people have just either finished the PvE content, or are just as sick as I am of 2 class PvP.
With heavy hitters that are changing the face of MMO’s like Chronicals of Elryia, and SC (If it ever comes out >.>) on the horizon, Anet needs to step their game up or it’s going be one empty world next year.

Just giving some quick fixes that really need to be addressed as I think they are bugs, not balance issues.
1. Vault: Evade timer should be 3/4 sec, not 1/2. I’m pretty sure this is a bug. The move, as it is right now, results is us having no control over our character and constantly being hit for that 1/4 second. It makes the move more of a liability than anything.
2. When we re-spawn we only have 100 Endurance instead of starting with a full bar of 150. Our entire class mechanic is that extra 50 endurance….we should be starting with a full bar.
3. Signet of Agi: It’s supposed to “Refill endurance bar”, but it currently only gives 100 Endurance. It doesn’t seem like this was updated for the expansion, and still thinks we only have 100 Endurance.
All of these bug fixes are simple number changes that any programmer on the team should be able to fix solo within about 10 minutes.
However, they really would help us out, especially given the dire state our class is already in.

As you know….my main is my Thief….but I have been forced to abandon it due to balance issues ankitten ow spending all of my time on a Rev.
Something I noticed about 4 games in was that I had only seen 4 classes represented…..so I started keeping track.
For 7 games in a row, all 10 players were either Rev, Chrono, Ele, orDH….
None of the people I ended up playing with were repeated in another game.
So out of 70 players only 4 classes were seen….all the others were gone…..
And even on the 8th game, it was the same, but we had 1 Ranger.
My question to all of you is this…..is everyone just abandoning their other classes for Chrono/Rev/DH?
I mean…nothing against it….its exactly what I did.
But what I mean is….is the balance SO bad that everyone is feeling as forced to do so as I felt?
I farm DH as condi rev, OP. Not sure where you’re going wrong, but I have to say, it’s one of the easier matchups for us. You’ve got dodges that grant stab, a longer evade that does dmg, a block that heals, another block that heals, a strong heal skill in Mallyx and all the while, you’re putting lots of condis on them.
Bait their traps, or simply dodge them. It’s a really easy fight once you get used to their abilities. You’ll probably find yourself facerolling them once you get more practice.
The only thing that’s infuriating about them is if you’re fighting two and they manage to get the venn diagram of death and no escape on you. If you haven’t burned your damage mitigation skills, you can simply wait this out, but if it happens to you in the middle of a teamfight, you’re probably dead.
Its not even the traps that were killing me. It was the non stop pull, push, and knock down. What you’re saying can’t be done unfortunately. You cant heal, dodge, or use skills, once the chain starts, you are just being pushed back, then instantly pulled forward, then pushed back again, then knocked down, then pull back to them, then pushed back. While this is happening, you cant use skills, damaging, stun breaking, or healing, and you cant roll…….
Got on to play a bit tonight and ran into this.
Let me start by saying I don’t think DH is OP.
Some of their traps are a little insane, but I’ve never had much a problem with them more so than any other class.
Playing tonight I ran into 1 game with 3 DH, 2 games with 4 DH and 1 game where the entire enemy team was DH…(Obviously premade)
At first I thought it would be just another game. But then I discovered (possibly) what people have been complaining about with DH.
They have too much Knock back/Pull!!
I guess I never really noticed it because I’ve only ever gone again two at a time as most, but when you are fighting four or 5 at a time, it works as a perma stun……
You cant roll, use any skills, or even use your class mechanic. The best way I can describe it was being a Yo-Yo on a string. I would run into a fight just to get pulled, knocked back, pulled knocked down, knocked back, pulled, knocked back, knocked down, pulled….ect.
There needs to be some kind of diminishing return on pull/knock back/knocked down. I literally at one point just took my hands off the keyboard and mouse because there was no point, I might as well have not had them, I had no control of my character anyway.
Note: I was playing a rev, running in my spec that I get 2 stacks of stability every time I dodge, and run dwarf king for the road that gives stability. So I would throw down the road and dodge in, probably resulting in an opening 4 stacks of stability, and 2 more every second while on the road. It still didn’t make enough difference to keep them from perma controlling me…….
So this is not an issue that Stability can fix because giving myself around 10-14 stacks of stability over 7 seconds and still not being able to control their CC is absurd.
Again…I don’t think DH needs nerfs. But the fact that they can perma control when in groups of 3+ is dumb. There needs to be some kind of diminishing return to Knock X
Going into parties I literally have to put a disclaimer that my DPS I am speaking of is a thief…..upon finding this out, they don’t want me to DPS anymore…

But really the point of the post was to bring to light the fact that thief’s have been nerfed to a point where no one wants us. To a point where we literally CANNOT play them. To a point where in order to play them, we need our personal friends or our guild to take pity on us and LET us play our thief……
That isn’t how it should be…..
There is always a strongest class and a weakest class….but rarely in all of my MMO’s have I seen a class SO weak that they are literally banished from group play….

Been a week or so since my last post. Been busy with stuff.
Just got off of my thief probably for the last time in a long time….which is sad, because it’s my favorite class.
Thief has become so bad that I literally CANNOT play it anymore. If I join any group for PvP or the Raid, people literally tell me to switch character or get out. Telling me that thief’s do everything worse than other classes.
I spent two hours trying to find a PvP group or a raid group, and was kicked from 6 groups that would invite me, ask me to switch characters, and when I didn’t, would kick me.
So…..thief is basically unplayable unless you are just solo’n random stuff.
You can’t do any group content or competitive PvP because no one wants us……
Is this really what it’s supposed to be like?
I am currently rocking my Tank Herald and get groups instantly….which is fine….but I guess it means I might as well sell everything on my thief because it might as well not exist anymore lol.
Really crappy scenario that makes it harder and harder to even log in anymore.
I see a lot of people on here saying going full tank is a waste.
Saying that you’re just doing less damage, and could be hybrid, or kite it, making it easier.
Did the raid last night successfully as a full tank. Rocking about 33k Health and 2400 Toughness self buffed.
The other 9 said it was the smoothest the raid has ever gone.
I was so tanky that I could literally just stand there and take the hits non stop, no kiting, no dodging (except the blue tp zones)
This allowed me to keep the bosses literally in 1 spot the whole fight. (except obvious exceptions where you have to move him).
But this skyrocketed DPS due to the fact that the boss wasn’t being kited around and moved all over.
Think a lot of people are having such a hard time with the raid because they are trying to run Tank hybrids, so their tanks cant take the hits like they should be able too.
Try getting a tank who is full tank, it will probably make your raid group more successful.
Remember, you may think you’re not doing any damage because your full tank. But your doubling everyone elses damage because your keeping him in 1 spot….all of that IS your damage. So you’re actually doing the damage of 9 people ;p.
