With the “Perfect Inscription” trait equipped, moving utility signets between 2 slots will cause their passives to stack once.
This only works on utility signets because they are able to be moved to different slots.
Let’s say I have the following set-up on the 3 utility skill slots:
Bane Signet (Why is this not Signet of Bane xD?) / Signet of Wrath / Hammer of Justice
First I move Bane Signet to the third slot by clicking on the arrow above Hammer of Justice and choose Bane Signet instead. My utility slot load-out will look like this:
Hammer of Justice / Signet of Wrath / Bane Signet
And then I move Bane Signet back to its previous slot by clicking on the arrow above Hammer of Justice, now in the first slot, again then choose Bane Signet, which will make my utility skill slots look like this:
Bane Signet / Signet of Wrath / Hammer of Justice
Now I will have 2 stacks of Bane Signet, which gives me 2x the passive bonus. Moving the skills further will not make it stack to 3 but it will remove the stack bug.
This only works when moving a Signet-occupied utility skill slot between another non-Signet-occupied skill slot. You can see from the example above that I did not touch the other signet skill on slot 2 at all. However, I am able to stack the Signet on the 2nd slot’s passive too, so I will have 2 stacks on both Bane Signet and Signet of Wrath. The process will look like this:
Bane Signet / Signet of Wrath / Hammer of Justice
v
Bane Signet / Hammer of Justice / Signet of Wrath
v
Bane Signet / Signet of Wrath / Hammer of Justice
And boom, I will now have 2 stacks of Signet of Wrath’s passive in addition to the 2 stacks of Bane Signet’s passive I previously acquired.
Upon further testing, moving the Signets to Spirit Weapons-occupied slots is not required. This bug works on slots that are not equipped with Spirit Weapons too, but moving them to other Signet-occupied slots will only stack one of the Signets for some reason.

I’m pretty much in the same situation, Tahlie, though I never did start my own group. You starting your own and getting kicked from it is bloody ridiculous, though I’m just gonna put my two cents and say that that was a rare situation of encountering a very specific group of kittenbags. I don’t think it’s going to happen very often.
I completely agree about the CMD tag complaint, though. Even people I know start to think that you need a tag in order to have a chance at leading a raid group, which I think is utter bullpoo.
Hey, at least you still want to do the content and not just give up & stop playing until raids stop being the only new notable PvE content getting released, like me. : P
Ah, my bad. I meant the Hide Bags/Show bags option. I wasn’t exactly sure what it’s called since I’ve left it on for years.
Also, I don’t think I had accidentally clicked on ‘Compact’ option since it didn’t occur on only one of my characters.
Though, it could be that something forced the ‘Compact’ option because 90% of the bags all across my characters are equipment boxes, and I put the Starter Backpack or normal bags in last bag slots.
(edited by PCanineBrigade.4916)
So I just logged on after ~10 hours and found that items in my two characters’ last inventory bag shuffled from how I arranged them.
I put them on the last slots of the bag (I use the ‘Hide Bags’ option) and they somehow went to the first slots of the bag. (As in I put them on 11-20th slot of my 6th bag and they went to 1-10th slot of the 6th bag)
Anyone else experiencing similar problems? I’m starting to freak out a bit whether my account was compromised or not.
EDIT: Just realized I haven’t moved stuff back in 1 of my chars yet

I placed the “Vale Guardian Pieces” decoration, from the first raid boss, in the Guild Hall and I cannot remove it.
I’ve tried using all 3 sizes of deco-removal, from various angles, but they did nothing.
Wow, yes, let’s have the highest DPS skill on a melee weapon be the projectile one. I’m sure they don’t mind their melee DPS getting absorbed, obstructed, body blocked or reflected at all. Yeah.
I can see why they want to change Facet of Light, though. Defiant Stance has a cast time, has it not? Maybe they just want to bring similar skills in line. Though it can easily be amended by just keeping it on in fights. (PvE perspective)
More CoR nerfs. It could hardly matter anyway, really, since most of the time you’re better off just auto attacking due to how unreliable the skill is.
‘Buffing Revenant’s defensive capibilities’ is not relevant in PvE, I don’t think. At least Rev will be getting buffed for other game modes’ builds.
Employing the glider is instant for me and my friends now. (We have 300~ ping) We can even put it on and off rapidly mid air like the rest!
I’m not entirely sure what changed but I suspect it was changed to be client-based instead of server-based. Leaning is still delayed though, but that’s no big deal.
Thank you so much for this! This change made high ping users able to cross over some previously impossible gaps because we had some delay in employing our gliders.
One little thing, though. There sometimes appears to be a glitch upon landing that results in having the glider stuck in characters’ backs, preventing them from using any skills until they jump again.
Not looking forward to sword AA nerf. Its other skills are situational at best, and I’m not a fan of having projectile skills on a melee weapon in the first place.
Let’s see…
AA already has problems hitting moving targets, and cleaving with it is somewhat more unreliable than other professions’ melee attacks.
S#2 can get obstructed, absorbed and reflected.
S#3 is a DPS loss when using against more than 1 target, and won’t even work on targets near walls or some uneven terrains.
Now, if skill 2 also got changed (assuming they will move the damage to that skill) to a PBAoE or something that has no projectile rubbish, I’d be a lot happier. Hell, make it a copy of Burst of Strength if need be. Just no projectiles, please.

The HoT patch broke the swallow skill. AR from your equipment will not be present while inside the Jellyfish’s belly, effectively reducing your AR to 0 (consumables and mistlock +5 AR not included), which is pretty much instant kill at high agony scales.
Best course of action for now is to stay away from melee range, and maybe only go melee when he’s stunned.
Critical hit voice overs play when the player character gets critically hit rather than scoring a critical hit on an enemy.
I’m pretty sure it’s not supposed to be this way because I could not think of any situation anyone would say “OH! That had to hurt.”, or “HAH! Extra damage!”, or “You’ll be feeling that one for days!” on taking big damage.
I’m not certain if they play incorrectly all the time or just sometimes, but I don’t remember these voice overs playing correctly for me ever.
This is the wrong fix for Coalesence of Ruin. The Cruel Repercussion trait needs a complete rework. The 50% damage increase is a huge part of the problem, because it creates very large damage spikes (which many mistake for being stock CoR damage). This change only addresses that in the instance where there are large numbers of targets (and some are not at max range). This has been discussed repeatedly in the Revenant forums. Reducing the number of targets to 5 might will prevent the huge damage spikes in some situations, but not all, and while it may be a fine change for WvW, it decreases the ability to tag large numbers of enemies in PvE unnecessarily.
Kind of bummed about the Radiant Revival change, but can understand why it was made and think it is still useful.
^^^^ I agree with this comment about CoR as well. I think the trait is the problem here and this fix will unnecessarily nerf the skill in PvE.
We already have to deal with uneven terrains stopping the skill after 1st/2nd hit. I don’t think another tweak to make it stop after hitting 5 targets is a good choice, especially for PvE.

Similar frustration here. I bought another HoT Standard Edition just now to give to someone as a gift, and I’ve been struck with “up to 48-hour waiting time” email.
To make things worse, I’m quite impatient about this kind of stuff… Yeah.
EDIT: Got it now! 2 hours waiting time

It’s really hard to screenshot it since it happens only for like half a second after using Chaotic Release.
No idea if it’s Charr-only issue but the model and texture will go nuts in every direction after using the skill.
He’s actually Shrael Backstab. The real Vincere looks totally different.
I’m quite positive because Shieldstep has SHIELD in the name, and Backstab most likely refers to daggers usage.
DS’ Vincere Shieldstep uses daggers, which obviously contradicts with his name, therefore he is Shrael Backstab.
Please refer to screenshots from Dragon’s Stand and Tangled Depths below.

I’m with Cyninja here. I like this game mainly because one can play whatever stat and build they want, it would just take longer than optimal builds to beat contents.
So far, the new “restriction” is just for raids, and maybe also for the high level fractals revamp.
I’m sad that most, if not all, of the new instanced group contents will require specific builds, gears and/or professions to beat. (Boon strip, anyone? There could be an environmental weapon or interactive object to strip boons for groups that do not have sigil of nullification or professions that can boon strip..) But eh, most people seems like them so I guess I’ll live.

I love the class so far. Just needs some bug fixing and polishing.
Hammer #2 (Coalescence of Ruin) fails to hit 50% of the time in Verdant Brink due to uneven terrains. It will even stop after the first pulse of the animation if you used the skill behind a tiny ledge. The only thing that has worse terrain problems than this skill, so far, is the Mordrem Charger getting stunned over and over trying to charge at me while standing on a tiny ledge.
I also hope that sword chain 2 (Brutal Blade) will be changed to a non-projectile skill because it’s very clunky at the moment. You lose DPS if you’re up against a wall, and the whole skill will outright fail to hit on specific terrains.

Battle on The Breachmaker is one of my favorite pieces of music from any video game ever. And it’s honestly just one of many selections I love (from both GW1 and GW2).
I second this, and also marionette fight theme. These pieces has stuck in my head since they were introduced. (There’s also a vocal version of BoTBreachmaker that Sharm made, make sure to check it out!)
Screenshot below. Both are interactable and work properly. Makes me wonder how did this even happen..
Map: Brisban Wildlands
Event: Protect the Wyld Hunt party from the unseen hunter
The event will fail to progress if one were to apply Aegis to one of the Warden NPCs being targeted.
(Note the Warden that’s in the water. Aegis blocked the attack that would’ve killed him resulting in the event being stuck.)
..I didn’t intend to bug the event, I swear!
I love the navigator also. It’s very insightful and tell me about the things I’ve been COMPLETELY oblivious to.
B-But I like them big and he also had a fiery glow before. I could use him as a torch Q_Q
Bump once, hoping for fix soon. ><
Well, I wasn’t aware of that! My friend got that problem once and I let him hitch-hiked my OOW character @ Claw Island mission to set him back on track.
Should’ve let him check his own instance first and see if his Tybalt’s back instead of faulty Forgal. >>
You will need to be on the story step that “shares” the same name as all other orders.
At this point, the closet would be helping out minor races. (Note: Skip directly to bottom of the page and click ‘show’ at Part V-A Friend in Deed to avoid possible spoilers.)
Basically, you will need to choose the same race as one other person that is in Order of Whispers.
Then, you play the last mission in that other person’s instance and choose to accept the progress. (VERY IMPORTANT: YOU HAVE TO BE ON THE SAME STORY STEP, TOO.)
You will be back on OOW’s story if you do it correctly.
There are other points in the story that you can still do this on, but the one I mentioned above is the closest and share the same story across all orders. (Apart from a little dialog from your mentors)

GW1 was worse, though. I would rubberband back and forth then get bodyblocked by mobs and die.
Though nachtraum, try and see if you can handle it first. It’s just I don’t think there are many asia server buy-to-play MMO with no P2W like GW2. We don’t want to destroy our wallets over new BIS items now, do we?
I get around 400ms ping playing from Singapore. It’s awful for pvp but I deal. In pve I generally can dodge everything important though.
400!? I thought other SEAmates had better internet, guess I was wrong. I feel you.
Yes, there will always be latency issues in every game that does not have the server at least in South East Asia. Because Thailand internet.
If it makes you feel better, you might get 5-15 better ms in EU than NA. I have not been in GW2 EU servers myself, but that’s how it was when I played WoW.
You should try to get used to it. Generally, you have to anticipate when an attack is coming and dodge 0.5-1sec before it comes. You won’t have evade frames right away when you start dodging, but you will still have around 1 second window of evade after you finish your dodge.
Source: I live in Thailand and play online games.
I asked this question before and the moderator referred me to the “traits” section. But that’s not the same thing at all.
lol. Well, I happen to STILL have a screenshot of it. Anyone willing to ask again can refer to this.
Yeah, I just noticed it this morning.
There used to be a few extra NPC dialog options that allowed you to reply based on your character’s Personality. I didn’t check but are they still there?
I’d be pretty sad if it’s completely removed.
Yeah.. I just logged in to see it in person, it’s very disturbing. As much as I would love to see it fixed, let’s not get any hopes up and just close our eyes when it plays >>
0.05-0.07, right?
Now that I noticed it, it cannot be unseen.. ever. Creepy stuff.
Issue #1 has to do with your underwater skills, and affects all classes. When you use a land skill, that skill AND the skill in the same slot underwater goes on cooldown.
So if on land you have: Banner of Discipline, “For Great Justice!” and Frenzy (in that order), and underwater you have “Shake it Off!”, “On My Mark!” and Dolyak Signet, then using Banner of Discipline will cause “Shake It Off!” to go on 120 second cooldown.
It is stupid and non-obvious. Workaround is to equip 3 useless utilities underwater.
Nice find. This explains it and I am able to reproduce the bug. Thank you, I’m gonna equip toxin heal skill and 3 spirit weaps underwater for my guard now :P

Thank you, I’m more convinced now. >_<
Open your world map and compare.
I tried, but not having map completion and staying up at 5am tends to have bad effects.
Where are these locations? I’m trying to figure it out but my brain isn’t working anymore.
I’m hesitant because I can’t seem to spam F1 fast enough in mass trash clearing. And 15 radiance is almost useless in single boss fights. On the other hand, I get 10% damage mod from honor and 3-5% from virtue with two free trait slots. ._.
Oh, and 15 minor trait in Zeal is.. kinda underwhelming. Especially in boss fights, only 1-2 stack of vuln.
I like PoV because shouts are instant-cast like Virtue of Resolve’s cleanse. Pop them and conditions go bye-bye right away.

Thanks. The x/x/x/30/30 has so much support trait choices I can’t seem to drop it x_x But I might just go screw support and do full DPS.
Use blocks and invul skills to get through that part. The Golem does nothing. (gasp!)
Or the simpler way, there are stone steps that leads to a hole you can jump up and land safely. It’s to your left before you reach the object.
How’s 10/0/0/30/30 hammer with longer symbol compared to Sw/F builds in term of DPS? I just want to know the numbers, like 15% inferior or something.
Assuming following factors are always active: 10% when endurance is not full / 20% when aegis is up / 10% to burning targets / 3% from number of boons.

How is it even remotely possible to go waaay down there!?
Most of the time I have to jump mid-cast and pray to the gods it actually spawns on the ground when I want to not target anything and hit mobs in a wider arc like other melee weapons…
