Yeah, collision is totally missing on part of the wall.
The fight is boring and tedious. I don’t even go anymore. It’s simply not fun. Both phases you spend more time sitting and waiting than fighting anything. The whole fight needs to be scrapped and made over from scratch.
Egoraptor covered this horrible concept of “waiting =/= difficult” in his Zelda Sequelitis.
Technically, the whole Personal Story is in the past, so the filter makes sense.
Not just profession, but also weapons/traits. Professions play very differently from the very same professions based on builds and weapons. For instance, I enjoy my signet ranger with GS and A/WH. It’s not meta at all, but I find it fun.
While I’m not fond of the fps drop, the skill lag makes the game unplayable at times. Skills become almost completely unresponsive at times, like during large events like Karka Queen. I can mash the spell as much as I want, but the spell doesn’t activate. Hell, ranger pets weren’t even attacking. Arenanet, if you can’t balance latency for so many players during world bosses, put a stricter hard cap on maps. I would rather work with smaller groups and actually be able to use my abilities than join a giant zerg and auto attack for loot.
You can still slide down the center and live. It’s just a bit trickier. You don’t need fall damage traits.
I honestly think the compact feature is 100% useless and should just be removed. If it actually sorted by type to the bottom than I might actually use it. As it functions now, I don’t know anyone that uses it intentionally.
Did you join a zerker only LFG? Are you a power necro or a condi necro? A lot of this stuff matters. Also Ralanost, just because you don’t want the dungeon to take longer than it needs to doesn’t mean you’re an elitist.
It honestly depends. It depends on what group he is trying to join. If they seem like a normal or casual group and still kick him for being a necro, yeah, they are elitists. They are still elitists if they list the usual speedrun crap, but at least then they are warning people in advance who they will accept.

The irony. I get longer loading times with any other capital than I do LA. Well, except Hoelbrak. That and the other cities generally have more tightly packed people so cause fps issues. Grove and Rata Sum especially since they are laid out vertically. LA has fairly short load times for me and zero fps problems.
There is a repair vendor. At the northern edge of the Grand Plaza is a Kodan with a repair anvil right next to him.

Yeah, I got a new case with a bottom mounted power supply. I didn’t know how bad pet fur and dander could build up. My pc started shutting down while playing and I wasn’t sure what was going on. Turns out the fan for the power supply was almost completely covered. Cleaned it out and blew out my pc case for good measure and don’t have problems anymore.
Burning Swiftness is garbage now. It doesn’t even feel like it goes 10 feet. While I understand superspeed could break some movement abilities, we were used to the distances covered by either the passive 25% boost or under swiftness. Could Arenanet at least try and push their distances/speed a little further? They feel almost unusable in their current state. To be honest, I used to love d/d on my ele. Since the change I stick with staff. I loved the mobility from Burning Swiftness while using Signet of Air. I got used to it and the distance felt right. I can’t tell you how many times I have tried to use it since the 23rd and just end up missing my target or getting disappointed in the distance traveled.
The current default for ‘leap’ abilities feels bad since everyone was used to using them while under the effects of SOME form of speed boost. Maybe think about adjusting the base speed/distance of these abilities?
Honestly, while they do want your money, they will never take money on the stipulation that it would direct work flow. It just won’t happen.
I don’t know if this was intended, but the last time I did the Battle of Claw Island was after the patch and there weren’t any guards engaging the undead near the lady you have to revive. It was horribly tedious to kill wave after wave and hope I have enough time to channel the rez for a few seconds before running out to heal after taking aoe poison damage (that hurts a LOT) and constantly respawning undead beating on me. If this is the new constant, avoid BoCI at all costs.
This has happened for me as well on at least 3-4 alts. Now for 8 of my 9 chars that I have done PS with they were using PVT gear so you can imagine they kill slow, this was VERY annoying due to that fact. But if you go zerker, surprise, surprise you find its very face roll easy…..
PvT? And no, it isn’t easy as a zerker. Why? The undead endlessly spawn and you are trying to rez an npc from fully dead. Doing this on my elementalist time consuming. Sure, I could blast the undead, but more would just appear. No npcs were there to take aggro so I had to get beat on to rez this npc. Elementalists are frail, especially in leveling gear. It took me way too long to clear this phase that usually takes no time at all.

The blue chevrons were eye catching on the map. This new symbol is too dull and doesn’t have a distinct enough shape. It’s like throwing a ball of dirt in a mud puddle.
To those still complaining about this. I literally already deleted a character, started over, leveled my character to 68 and just wanted it over and used a few spare ToK to hit 80. With a few hours in EotM I could have spared them, but I didn’t feel like it. I know some people don’t have as much play time as me, but it would have been much simpler to realize that Anet flubbed and wasn’t about to fix it. So either power through and start over. It sucks and Arenanet REALLY should avoid doing things like this in the future, but you can be 80 fairly quickly if you try.
There are tons of things to see in the new LA. If you go through the achievement to get Princess, you will see most of them. There is a lot that isn’t out in the open to see.

I just deleted my little ele and remade her since I knew that would be the outcome. Really stupid decision on Arenanet’s part. Should have just reset everything and let us spent points as we want.
Well thanks for nothing Arenanet. Going to delete my elementalist and start over since you ruined her build and it’s faster to start over than to get to 80 with a crap build.

We didn’t have a choice! Arenanet chose for us on logging in! This is why we are upset.
At low levels it seems even less of a big deal, maybe i am not seeing the problem a big as you, but you can easily earn more skill points quickly if you low level player by a little map exploring and leveling up.
You are obviously not looking at the problem from our point of view. This isn’t just about one or two hero points. This is about whole core specialization lines. Elementalists get it really bad with Earth Magic being shoved down our throat by default, which is the most useless line by far.
I really hope they do something abt characters before lvl 80 :/ my ele got earth training maxed and arcane training max when i dun use either of them. Sighpie
By the time you hit 80, even quicker if you explore the world you have enough points for all of them anyways, so what the big deal?
Because it ruins our low level characters. I never use earth attunement. I would be much happier and feel more progression if I could have spent those points myself. But kitten us for wanting to level our characters the old fashioned way instead of just using tomes, right?

What did they try to do, arrange the points as closely to what you had before the patch? I honestly hadn’t heard that they were going to try and auto-build the traitlines…that actually is pretty weird…
The points already spent seems like it is based on what your character had before the patch(weapons, utilities and trait lines).
That doesn’t work with characters too low level to even have traits, that is everyone under level 30.

I think things should always be available to the game once they are introduced. Change the methods of acquisition if you must, but I despise when things are “no longer available in game”. It’s stupid and infuriating. You making this post is nothing short of elitism.

You clearly have a higher income than some of us. We also value our money a bit higher than you. It’s great that you can spend money as freely as you want. My cell bill is $40 a month, the only cable I have is internet and that’s about $50 a month. My actual budget for things like games is incredibly small. I see practically no value in $50 bucks with no character slot. To suggest we all pay double that is to have no touch with reality.

It is not a good deal and I will not buy the expansion at the price they have listed. $50 with no additional character slot is inexcusable and I refuse to pay for that.
Plain and simple Arenanet. $50 with no additional character slot is a no sale for me. I bought the digital version at launch for cheaper.

I have so many bonus skill points on all my 80s that I got it just because. Never used it and never planned to use it. Refund? I honestly don’t care.
The mats price is going to skyrocket from its current position of “ridiculous” into the level of “mickey mouse magic money price”.

I like this much better. I would be resentful crafting ascended armor with fixed stats especially with the meta being switched up soon. If it had the same stats as exotics but you could change them like a legendary I would not only be ok with that, I would feel more inclined to actually make the kitten things.
When they first showed off the new core specs over a month ago I was pretty excited with the changes to ranger and even had the spec lines planned out. With how they are looking now all I can feel is despair. Not only are they not as good as what they showed us before, I actually feel they are worse than the traits we have currently. I’m a bit happy with elementalist, but I just get tired trying to deal with all the vernacular with Guardian abilities. So much zeal and light and fire. Honestly it just makes my head hurt reading it. Oh, and somehow thieves lost ricochet. So honestly, I am not terribly thrilled.
The only thing we can hope for is if they somehow make it baseline and just didn’t put that in the notes. Otherwise it pretty much removes p/p as anything other than trash.

maybe, but it was alot more grindy, than it is now with the traacks and not based on RNG anymore.. now you can clearly work for the skins that you exactly want in pvp.
Yeah, but the point is PvPers didn’t whine to get the skins :P Most don’t even care about rewards, Anet just made it more accessible and rewarding so more people would try out PvP.
And with how custom arenas work, I say it failed spectacularly. If people want to pvp, they will. If people want rewards, they will find a way. But rewards will never make people like something that they don’t like. They will just find ways around the system to get the rewards without doing the content they hate.
WoW got pretty bad recently with Honorbuddy and the hordes of bots in pvp. No one wants that. I just think it would add to the game as a whole to open up the reward structure as a game wide objective instead of having it just be for pvpers.
Because pvpers complained, that they can’t earn the pvp armor and weapon skins via pvp, that they get “forced” to play PvE to get then.
Thats the simple but true reason, why ANet added the dungeon based PvP reward tracks, so that people stop complaining about, that they have to play Pve to earn those skins …
But there are rewards that are unique to these tracks like the glorious armor and balthazar back piece. How is this not a double edged sword? Wouldn’t this be rectified if EVERYONE had access to this reward path, no matter what content they choose to participate in? I like how pvp reward tracks work, I really do. I think if more people cycled through them then Arenanet could implement more reward tracks in the future. I just think it would be better if everyone could benefit from them as a reward structure and not just pvpers.
I appreciate PvP reward tracks for what they are, but I feel they are a bit wasted in the place they are currently implemented. In a lot of the game outside of this, well, it’s not terribly rewarding and people usually focus on grinding specific areas for the largest rewards. What I would like to see is PvP reward tracks opened up for all content in the game. PvE, WvW and of course the role it currently serves in PvP. I like it because it’s steady progress to a very real and substantial goal. Most WvW and PvE lack clear goals that aren’t set by the players themselves. I feel this would add longevity to the game and motivation to do any content the player wants.
Wouldn’t it be nice, if you already have an 80, to level a new character, set a reward track, and get goodies for your account at the same time? After the new change to skill points to hero points and getting the new currency (soul shards was it?) I think this could pair up wonderfully to help populate the world and zones a lot more. And some content in the game could give more progress than others. Fully completing a jp (without a mes portal, something that I feel should be incentivized) could give a good chunk of reward track progress. I hear that jps don’t give much incentive to do them again after you get the achievement. Adventures could also give a healthy chunk of progress. Maybe large WvW objectives could also help.
That said, one of the major failings of pvp reward tracks is that no matter how shiny the rewards, it doesn’t promote real pvp. Some people just go to custom arenas and win trade for dailies and pvp track progress. I fail to see how this is good for the game. If there were other means to get pvp track progress, than the people that want to pvp still will, but the people that don’t want to pvp or don’t care for it won’t muddy the waters, so to speak.
Frankly, I just want to play the game the way I want and have fun. It would keep me motivated and in game a lot more if I could get something like the pvp reward tracks to just get steady goodies playing in the content I enjoy instead of the bad notion that incentivizing content that people don’t like will get them to like it eventually.
